@MS7000 definitely agree, tho surprisingly they have worked out drift somehow apparently! Not sure how well it works tho.

I was really disappointed with the demo... Hopefully the games improved a bunch since. Tho I finally succumbed and just ordered Xenoblade Chronicles DE so I guess that’ll keep me busy for long enough that I can skip BD2 if it isn’t top notch!

Though come to think of it, printing nice quality paper in full color is expensive. I used to make zines and doing a 40pg (8.5x9” cut in half) Black n white would cost about $4 at Kinkos/Fedex.

I agree it’s a bit expensive.. $5 would’ve been nice. But I do commend them for the effort in making it. Think I’m gonna buy it. I just miss well crafted manuals so much.

From how this was written, it seems like you only get the new difficulty level if you beat this demo,, can someone confirm? Seems an odd choice.

Wouldn't have been my top pick by any means, and that said I'm absolutely stoked. Even never playing a Minecraft game. It's going to bring so much creativity to the game. Listening to Sakurai talk about the difficulties of bringing that world into this one -oh man that took a lot of work - re-working every stage even - dag!

Good points. Especially with Xbox Series being backwards comparable w every generation, and upgrading like you said- apparently even Xbox 1 games will be getting Framerate boosts along with the graphic enhancements. That’s amazing.

I guess what I’d be most bummed about is how Nintendo’s been filling their release schedule with Wii U games instead of new titles, but they’ve done a decent job keeping new releases coming overall.

@rjejr ah I’ve never heard of such sites that’s cool. Definitely much better to play physical board games and cards. If you don’t have people around to play with tho, Clubhouse is awesome. I’ve been playing solitaire the most which come to think of it, that’s one I can easily play in physical form...doh

Yea even with the covid situation, I don’t see why they couldn’t have announced the Mario collection sooner at least. It would’ve saved some of the despair of feeling completely in the dark this year. And why wasn’t Paper Mario announced in that very sad Direct Mini way back— that would’ve made it a pretty good presentation and would still have only been a few months from release.

Agree with the devs not getting to enjoy the excitement too. Once a product is out, so much energy is deflated on the part of the creators especially. It’s hard not to get depressed after releasing something enough as it is, let alone something not given proper promotion.

@rjejr good ideas, yea that would have been very sensible. This has been such a non sensible year for Nintendo but I guess it has in general, so it can be excused ha. I hope next year they return to a more typical reveal/promotional style.

@dugan you’re right! They definitely led us to believe that Ori wasn’t coming for a long time if at all...so this was a big surprise! Especially since it came out on Xbox so recently.

I’m actually stoked for Fitness Boxing 2, to accompany my Ring Fitting. My massage therapist has been playing FB1 and said it’s such a good workout for body and brain bc it has you doing the same routine on both sides of your body...great for strength and for combatting Alzheimer’s even:)

I need to see more I think,,, I wasn’t really stoked on what I saw. The 80 costumes thing made me feel like most of them will have very limited uses which kinda makes them moot/only useful for specific moments and then probably forgotten?

Was thinking about getting the first,, so guess I’ll wait for this one instead. Feeling like this combined with Ring Fit and my own stretching n yoga will keep me real fit this winter!

Compared to the first few, this partner Direct was great!

Love SOR4 so much. I went back and played the ogs and after being used to 4, they just can’t touch it! Tho of course they’ll always have a place in my heart.

@durr it seems like they made the last boss fights quite a bit tougher tho. You can always play on the hardest difficulties! I beat hard but not sure I’m ready for the next 2.

I was I intrigued after the Indie Direct, looked up a couple reviews of the PC version and found the same glowing praise— downloaded it immediately— just waiting to beat Paper Mario first. I’m so incredibly stoked to check it out. Seems right up my alley. I have a feeling I will agree with the 10/10. Thanks for such a well written/creative review.

I remember getting this back in my college days. I think I only played it with friends twice and it was just....ok. A score of 6 perfectly suits the game as far as I’m concerned. Bummer tho, I always wanted to love it!

He reads twice that everyone can still vote in person..why does he feel so attacked and infuriated - and why is Trump suing over this? Taking away mail boxes really isn't going to save USPS much time, I mean they're on the carriers routes anyway. I think they provide an important service that has to be regulated by our govt which is good in my opinion, though I'm really not down with private companies taking over everything in general, and am pretty down on the capitalist directive as a whole - as it requires extreme imbalances of power/wealth, and assumes a concept of infinite growth inherently, which is impossible, and unnecessary - you know what I mean!? Like why is it that company's need to grow every year to be successful? I worked at Whole Foods before they sold, and they were still making year over year profit, but all the analysts and market said was they were doing poorly and had to sell.. just sucks that this is the way our country is run.
