Very cool,, I still haven’t given it a whirl but will have to at some point!
Agree that Mr X would’ve been a better addition than Yakuza dude but also it makes sense they’re trying to pull in more current gamers that might not know the power of Streets of Rage
@AussieMcBucket heck yea. I just learned about Demon Throttle too. Apparently physical only which is kinda cool imo tho I always buy indie games digitally for reasons. I’m seeing the collection with Gato, Gunbrella and Demon for only $20 so might just get it!
Not sure why people can’t just wait a week, I’m sure there’s plentyyyyy to do in the meantime;) though what I can’t wait to do is finish work so I can start playing today!
One of the best indie showcases ever I think. Just so many solid titles. Not many earth shattering , but almost everything looked good. I’m even interested in Woodo! Really appreciate that that, and others are incorporating mouse play.
3 shadow drops, all looked great. Plus a demo for that train game.
Annnnd Heave Ho 2 with gameshare+general online support is amazing. The first Heave Ho was some of the most fun I’ve had in a multiplayer game in so long. Laugh out loud fun.
@CJD87 totally agree. I went all physical for first party switch 1 games but as more and more indies or retro or compilations released digital only I slowly amassed a bigger digital library on switch 1. Now I’m begrudgingly accepting the ways of the future and going mostly digital with Switch 2 first party titles, especially those that are more pick up and play style or those you want to play daily like Pokopia:)
I’m trying not to be a curmudgeon about it and embrace the positive side of not having to replace game cards and keep track of them during travel, which are nice perks. Though like you I totally understand wanting to have a physical collection, I also wish people would move on from blowing up the chat every time
Same with the price issue. I get it, but, we kinda just have to accept that all major 1st party games especially will be $70. It’s so annoying when people say it’s not “worth $70”. Kirby Air Riders was a perfect example of this,, the game has soooo much content. If any game is worth $70, it’s that one. Doesn’t mean you’ll like the game tho;)
I’m old enough to remember when crappy games like Turok 64 cost $80…..
I know we all wanted a true adventure mode but at this point we just gotta accept that the recent tennis games have been excellent multiplayer focused titles and not much more. Which is totally fine by me! I love that you have to unlock so much content — miss the days when that was the norm. Though I do wish they tracked more gameplay stats, and I can’t help but say that after playing Air Riders, the UI and design just doesn’t hold up that great. Small bone to pick when the game is this fun tho
To me these make total sense for 4 player gaming. The colors will look great detached from console especially with the strap attachment. Tho of course I wish they were cheaper, $10 of those dollars are due to our evil govt.
Funny how many negative comments here. The game got an 8, 77 on meta critic pretty dang good if you ask me. It’s meant to be a multiplayer focused game. tho I do understand the disappointment knowing how awesome Camelot is w its rpg lore and GB sports games. I do like hearing that it’s more easy to pick up and play for casual friends to play and have fun. Aces had a high skill ceiling which made it a bit less fun to play a beginner, and for me to play anyone online (got my butt kicked a lot, but that’s most online games for me 🙃
@AstroTheGamosian Ah yea I understand, I spend a lotta time listening to Nintendo forecast or good vibes gaming or …. Nintendolife! When I could be playing the dam games!
Sorry to hear about the sleep woes. Definitely no judgement there. Gotta get the Zs however you can
@compostablecars ok we posted at the same time then, I was bored too and I didn’t see @mommar above also didn’t like the demo. I hope they turn it around for the proper release.
Even tho it wasn’t a stunner of a direct with big new exclusives or real surprises (Orbital would’ve been that if they didn’t announce at game awards;), the best news about this direct to me was most everything is a first half of 2026 release. There’s plenty more to come this year. We just gotta be patient ~
@ThatZeldaNerd I hear ya but no matter what most think about Mario Kart World there’s also that ,, so 2 huge exclusive games so far ain’t bad. Compare it to PS5 and X series exclusives for first 6months/year and they doing great.
@rjejr right on I’m in the same boat. Haven’t gotten into the souls/ from soft series. But I know they’re great games. Hoping for that unannounced heavy hitter!
Dam I’m considering it,,, would get Tomodachi and either DK returns or Advance Wars. I pretty much either already have all the 1st party tiles I want, or feel the games are so old they should be discounted beyond $10 which they do happen to be from time to time …
Also today is a big boycott spending day, so it’s a good time to NOT buy anything in the US (except local)
Not too surprised! Tho it’s a bummer, this isn’t new for Nintendo they like to keep us waiting…. And to be fair they have laid out their 1st party releases thru April now with 1 major release per month. We know Fire Emblem, Yoshi and Splatoon (likely) are also this year so enough is known. They’ll drop the big one a bit later in the year….
@AstroTheGamosian nice nice I hope you enjoy it when you do (did) give it a whirl! I unlocked all the items pretty quickly , maybe 25min tops and I was consistently losing the events :// despite being so bad, I still had a blast with it!
@AstroTheGamosian you should be able to dive right in I do believe! Tho it wouldnt hurt to do some tutorials first if you haven’t played the first one either!
@AG_Awesome hmph not sure it’s worth double the price but it is good fun using the mouse action stuff and such. And you know it’s still less than the cost of a movie in the theater! There isn’t huge replay value as a whole so something to consider;)
Nintendo Forecast man has a great breakdown video of why scores are effectively lower for Prime 4. Not just drinking the Koolaid but with some real reasoning behind it. If this came out a few years after 3, I really think it would’ve gotten at least upwards of an 88ish
Great review and so glad the federation forces didn’t sour the vibe for you Ollie! I’m a bit concerned I’ll be more in Alex’s camp and find them annoying but I’m sure I’ll get over it! Was really hoping the rest of media felt the same and this would land at least a 90 on meta critic but it is what it is. I’m sure I’ll still love nearly every second of it.

Woah this looks so rad. I loved Gato Roboto, never played Gunbrella, but it looked pretty sweet too. Go Doinksoft!

Still surprised Nintendolife had one of the lower scores out there! Regardless, I’m excited for a Pokemon game which is saying something
