Re: Analogue Pocket Pre-Orders Have Sold Out, But More Are On The Way

@bryce951 I love that fake account/sabotage idea

I was so bummed. I got up early to pre order had everything in my cart and the shipping took forever, pocket was sold out when I went to my final payment screen at 8:09. That said yea I’m not too bummed to save $388 on something I won’t see for a year..

Re: Still Not Convinced On Paper Mario: The Origami King? This Accolades Trailer Might Do The Trick

@Crockin awesome perspective.
I’ve only beat the first world so far but I’m really enjoying it. More than I thought I would based off what I’ve read. The battles aren’t boring at all to me. Sometimes I would like more depth to the combat and character progression, but it feels like you have just enough “leveling up” to satisfy my inner rpg nerd. I really hope people don’t ignore this game for what it doesn’t have like you said!

Re: Review: Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics - You Won't Get 'Board' Of These Games Easily

neogyo

@BenAV same! I prefer physical for non indies (since most aren’t available physical it would be odd to me to only have some occasional titles on cartridge I just get all indies digital) but felt this would be better to always have accessible for those quick dips!

Bought a one for my brother so we can play online - hope finding a friend is easy enough. Shame about no voice chat / app support!!

Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of The Nintendo Direct Mini?

neogyo

@peterjack right!?! It’s really weird. Even if they just did a simple teaser that didn’t show much of the game. It would’ve made the mini so much stronger. Only thing I can think of is that they were planning on waiting for their E3 direct for the Origami reveal ...

Re: Classic Streets Of Rage Soundtracks Are Being Rereleased On Cassette And CD

neogyo

@Underoath_048 I don’t blame you for thinking so, but there are a number of tape manufacturers in the states. I’ve put out a few releases on cassette as well as a bunch of my colleagues in the independent music world.

That said, @ventilator they’ve been a trend for years now just depends on what circle you’re in I guess. Lots of new music comes out on cassette.

There’s beauty to the format. I love being able to take my boombox to the park or wherever. Feels much better than using my phone with a Bluetooth.

Re: Review: Streets of Rage 4 - A Perfect Modernisation Of A Beloved Franchise

So stoked to hear it turned out so well. I can’t wait to get into this with my brother n friends. Got many memories of SOR. Especially 2! Accidental blows thrown led to serious rage haha. So funny they acknowledged that in the PR about the 1v1 fight mode.

Just don’t get the “wait for a sale” ppl... how is this not worth $25!? Paid $60 for the ogs back in the day.

Re: Nintendo Switch System Update 10.0.0 Is Now Live

neogyo

@Juga indeed. I wonder, how do you enjoy having both systems?? I’ve been wanting to get a Lite for my travel gaming but not sure how I feel about the primary console/transferring data situation. Do you find it easy enough/ is it worth it?

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 11th)

neogyo

I’m really hoping for some good turnip prices too. Tho I’m content taking my time with my island. I don’t get why so many people want to just rush thru everything in the game.. it really takes the joy out of every little progression. And that’s just not what crossing is about:) looking forward to the fishing tourney and bunny day too

Re: Mini Review: Wandersong - This One Can Really Hold A Tune

neogyo

Yesss thank you! One of my recommended games to cover.

My 2 cents - love the vibe, the writing, The singing, the uniqueness all around. Did not love the platforming/some of the oddly infuriating bits, and I wished there was just a bit more going with the gameplay— by about halfway thru I just wanted to get it over with which is too bad bc it really is a charming experience.
