@Juga indeed. I wonder, how do you enjoy having both systems?? I’ve been wanting to get a Lite for my travel gaming but not sure how I feel about the primary console/transferring data situation. Do you find it easy enough/ is it worth it?
@Nye1779 ah yea I’ve heard it’s amazing. But also a little concerned about the scope of the game... same with Xenoblade. Never played it so really tempted but not sure I want to invest 100 hrs into it.
This sounds so rad. I was so stoked to see you credit the composer! Thank you! I’ve known Amos for nearly 20 years now. Such a great person and a very talented musician. So touched to see his work reaching more audiences. Can’t wait to dive in to this!
I’m really hoping for some good turnip prices too. Tho I’m content taking my time with my island. I don’t get why so many people want to just rush thru everything in the game.. it really takes the joy out of every little progression. And that’s just not what crossing is about:) looking forward to the fishing tourney and bunny day too
Yesss thank you! One of my recommended games to cover.
My 2 cents - love the vibe, the writing, The singing, the uniqueness all around. Did not love the platforming/some of the oddly infuriating bits, and I wished there was just a bit more going with the gameplay— by about halfway thru I just wanted to get it over with which is too bad bc it really is a charming experience.
Played the demo and was absolutely bored with it. Maybe it was just the character I choose - the beast dude - but the writing was awful - his set up made no sense, the voice acting sucked, and the character models and starting environment- his castle were repetitive and dull. Combat was - so so? Not sure where this praise is coming from.. but hey I hope people enjoy it I guess!
@peterjack I have to agree.. I didn’t expect them to reveal the big holiday games but like you said, something akin to a Mario sports title or a smaller IP would’ve been nice,, let alone one of the heavy hitters we all want to see. And the ARMS push just feels so late in the games life.. see why they’re promoting their IP for Smash, but it’s a pretty disappointing choice, especially as a follow up to Byleth. Not trying to complain, but I feel like they could’ve given us just. Litttttle something more here.
Not sure if others have said this yet,, but this really feels like the perfect time to escape to a glorious digital island doesn’t it... cannot wait to create Happy Club Island (or something)
....could be cool....? Not too stoked on free to play games though if it’s got enough going without the need to get into micro transactions it could be rad..
@rjejr yea it’ll be a lot different than Pocket Camp. The movement will be analogue for sure. PC was a fun lil taste of AC To hold ya over for a minute, but as soon as they added the micro transactions I bailed in protest!
And we’re definitely going to have a ton of exploring to do, with all the additional islands and landscaping duties etc
Had a great time with it,, tho it’s so tough to find the special ghosts and boos.... It was one of the most creative, surprising games I’ve played in a long while.
I had some brief fun with the base game Screampark, but it definitely didn’t hook me and my buds. I’m hoping these new minis are a little more substantial. Tempted to purchase...
Also agree that it’d be so rad to use these outfits in story mode!
Highly recommend everyone to watch the BBC report on these camps. It’s very apparent that their govt is hiding what’s really happening. And if the camps aren’t bad enough, apparently unspeakable horrors happen to these people if they get out of line or resist. Like extreme torture scenarios. It’s beyond awful.
@Ryu_Niiyama that’s amazing. I wish I could get my mom into games. Better yet would be my girlfriend, but both of them are too into the natural world and find games to be too alien haha.
Love it. But also, hate it. It’s so sad that they can’t actually hang out in real life. At least they are engaged in real world activities, but I feel like there should always be time for hangin with friends when in school age (and beyond).
That was pretty rad how her painting was just placed on the grass like that!?!
And I also wonder, there’s got to be more to multiplayer that we haven’t seen yet right. @rjejr - rolling down a hill at least! Haha
@nhSnork well said. I get caught up in the Direct hype just as much as anyone else, but it’s really just feeding those endorphins. How many of the games announced will I even play in the end? Maybe 4? Its all good fun getting hyped, but it’s important to continue to be grounded in reality. Like you said, There are plentyyyyy of games to get lost in already. And what of the coronavirus, it could seriously be impacting release schedules which would definitely hinder an already edited direct. 200 cases in Japan now, Probably canceling the olympics! This is what’s insane, not the lack of gaming news.
I deleted the app as soon as they introduced the pay to play elements. Definitely not wasting my time with it once New Horizons comes out. Not even for some “rare” items.
That‘a a fun little way to make use of the amiibo. I’m a late acquirer of the adorable plastic money wasters, but I hope they continue to find purpose in future games.
Just got 1 and 2 - been way too long since I've played these and I never beat them. Having a ton of fun so far. Never really heard much about 3 tho,, does anyone recommend it?
@inenai thanks for the suggestion, yea I’ve gotten my girlfriend to play a tiny bit of Mario Tennis and Party, but she just really doesn’t like digital media much at all. Just feels too unnatural to her. I’m trying to sway her with Animal Crossing next month, so we’ll see how that goes!
I wish my grandma / mom / girlfriend / any lady in my life played Nintendo haha - this was such a sweet story. The fact that she mailed it in is glorious.
The vibe of the generic all American family is kind of disappointing to me, but it is awesome to see a game really take advantage of the joycon features! (I personally love the con, have never had any drift issues, but they definitely seem to wear out too quickly for my liking.)
I love the concept of real world positive change thru dlc. They also did a similar thing with EQQO. I’m hoping more publishers follow suit.
I thought Lydia was cool, just wish it had a little something more to the engagement in the game. Basically just a visual novel which is fine too. The voice of Lydia got annoying quickly for me tho, could’ve added a few more variations to the babababa ..
@Manah that’s what I was thinking! A complete system transfer should move everything together... looking forward to really getting to the bottom of this!
Maybe if it was more seamless to switch between switches! Also, not stoked about no island transfer in AC. I really want a Lite but this is sorta a deal breaker which bums me out a bit. That's a sexy pink though..
@TimboSlice I here ya, but this one is definitely worth paying full price. Especially with the incoming DLC being free. One of my favorite indies, tho the story’s a little tooooo dark for my liking the aesthetic makes it more palpable.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 11th)
@Tandy255 yes! To each their own, but I just can’t help but feel that the game is not meant to be rushed... plenty of time to enjoy island life.

@FrowningCoach too little too late here in the great US of A
Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Pocket Camp Crossover Event Is Now Live
@Clamango same
I almost answered yes to “will you be re-installing” then I remembered the micro transaction bs. Just. Can’t. Get. Down. With. It.
Tho I really do wonder if there’ll be anything that sways me to jump back in just for special New Horizons items..

Re: Vitamin Connection - A Charmingly Unique Co-Op Experience, When It Works
Looks like a fun diversion but definitely not stoked for wonky controls or backtracking... It’s a shame, I love the heavy joy con / co op focus.
Re: Feature: WayForward On Vitamin Connection's Switch Exclusivity, Challenges And Influences
