Slide and Melee abilities from Dread sounds nice, but it better not mean that they add a sprint mechanic.
And you want isolation In and an AI companion? So you want Halo then?
If there’s anything i want them to take from Halo, after a fully fleshed out single player, is a fully fleshed out online multiplayer. Feds v Pirates feat. Hunters. And gunship control.
And at this point I don’t believe it’ll be a Switch game, or at least, they’re better off leaving MP4 for Nintendo’s next-gen console.

Asking about gameplay elements I understand, to an extent. But wanting to know plot elements is just asking to have the game spoiled.

Haven’t had a problem with my OLED joy-cons.

They announce a new amiibo, I’m buying it.

Though I wish they’d make some Xenoblade and more Animal Crossing amiibo.

And some sort of amiibo functionality to Pokémon cards, with a new Pokémon TCG would be good too.

They definitely had young children in mind when they made this show.

Yes it should. And I still wish Nintendo would get their hands on Xenogears and XenoSaga series.

It’s a great console with some of the greatest games. It’s just a shame with the ROM dumping and pirating of new games that aren’t even released yet.

I’m all for any game that takes place in Ivalice, new or old. The best FF games (and Vagrant Story) take place there.

But it feels like a missed opportunity for SE to not have brought FF Explorers to the Switch already.

it leaves a bad taste.

It just looks like the Link design from Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer.

At the earliest they’ll announce late 2023 and launch mid/ late 2024.
But it more likely an announcement early 2024, release late 2024/ early 2025.

And I don’t believe Metroid Prime 4 on Switch is a priority anymore, it maybe a cross-gen launch like BotW was, but if the jump in console power is significant enough, they’ll drop a potential “Switch version”.

Like it or not, digital is the future.

Though the convenience of not having to carry physical copies is nice, especially for a handheld device.
I do believe digital copies should be cheaper than physical copies.

Seeing Portal there just makes me hope for Half-Life games on the Switch. Even Black Mesa.

I hope the new series is more like Pokémon Origins, Hisuian Snow or the Pokétoon shorts, they were really good.

But I think I’ll miss Jessie & James the most from the main show. But it’d be nice to see everyone all finally aged up, seeing an aged up Pokémon Champion Ash would be a nice surprise.

My prediction for Nintendo is a late 2023 / early 2024 Nintendo next-gen console announcement, with a late 2024 / early 2025 launch date.

As one who doesn’t celebrate Christmas, it’s a nice change, imo.

Sure I’d like to see a Metroid strategy game, but Star Wars and Metal Gear would make the best ones from that list.

Pretty sure not many people watched them anyway, and that most of the views came from miss clicks or auto play.

Pretty average, a lot more video game references though. Feels like it was made for a younger audience. I’d give it a 6/10. a real 6/10, not this fakeass “6/10 or lower is a bad show” rot.

For 2023, I’m hoping Nintendo will announce their next console with a 2024 release date. Something beast-y enough to handle some of the major 3rd party games coming out, and with Metroid Prime 4 as launch title, if not a Metroid Prime remastered collection launch, with MP4 to follow.

Never played it, so I have no nostalgia for this. 1080 Snowboarding however, now that’s where it’s at. If only Nintendo would revive that series, along with Wave Race, Excitebike (N64 style) and of course F-Zero.

Only a consumer, an owner of all consoles would treat them like “siblings” (hence this write-up).
In the business world, no, they are most definitely rivals, especially when one can “take” the others exclusives and advertises as much.

"Technically" an RPG, but more of an Action/Adventure? That just sounds stupid to me.

The only awards I didn't agree with was OST & RPG, Elden Ring and Xenoblade had a way better OST than GoW. As for RPG, why was Elden Ring a nominee? It really was the odd one out compared to the other nominees, and imo ER should have been in the Action/Adventure category.

Well that’s just it, you don’t know what Nintendo’s next console will be.

It’s a smart and hilarious business move by MS to make the ABK buyout happen.

And yet many are missing the point that MS have said they’re committing to bringing COD to Nintendo consoles, not specifically the Switch.
So by the time the buyout happens, Nintendo may have already moved on to developing games for their next console and there very well may not be any of this “watered down ports” talk.

There’s also the one where, before it became Federation Force, NextLevel was making a “pretty straightforward multiplayer deathmatch”. “That was like a standalone version of the multiplayer modes in Metroid Prime Hunters.”

Hopefully the “could have been’s” still have a chance to become the “could be’s”.
Especially when we’ve now got great tactical games like Mario+Rabbids.
