Zelda inspired? Have the people at NLife hit their heads or something? Because it looks nothing like Zelda and everything like an SNES Square game. I mean it's a turn-based RPG for crying out loud, those images scream "Final Fantasy-like" if anything.
5 years is more than enough time apart. But content and support is more important. We don’t have all the details that sets S3 from S2 yet, but it really does need to justify and differentiate its self from S2.
As much as I'm looking forward to the BotW sequel and Xenoblade Chronicles 3, this is where I want to see Monolith (or maybe even Grezzo), working on a full 3D remake of Golden Sun.
Geez, and here I said the last guy had to be delusional for thinking Sunshine was the best 3D Mario game. The last thing I’d even think of calling Sunshine was being ahead of its time. And even then I wouldn’t call it that.
It would be a huge disappointment if they stopped doing directs. Even if they’re “predictable or leakable” they’re too much fun, even the ones that end up not meeting expectations are still enjoyable.
My top picks would be Mischief Makers, Bomberman 64, Star Wars SotE, Rouge Squadron, Battle for Naboo 1080, Waverace and the rest of the RARE N64 games.
Even though I've yet to hear his Mario, after listening to just this it makes me glad they went with Chris Pratt in the Mario movie. Don't think I could go a full 90-Minute movie with that.
Good move Nintendo and Illumination.
@Lady_rosalina I never said it was, I simply likened its processing power to that of gen 7 consoles and the fact that 3rd party devs are starting to drop support for gen 8 consoles. Implying that there's a strong likelihood that 3rd party devs will quite easily drop support for Switch at that time too, due to a lack of processing power.
@anoyonmus
I mean, want it to be on the Switch as much as the next guy, probably more so that most here in this case. But ya got to be realistic, WB is involved and they ain’t even bringing MultiVersus to the Switch.
Then there’s the talk of wanting to work with better hardware for more realistic graphics. 3rd party devs are already starting to drop gen 8 consoles, so by the time 2023 comes around, I wouldn’t be surprised if gen 8 consoles are completely dropped by then, leaving the Switch, which is essentially running on gen 7 hardware.
But until they announce the target consoles, who knows? Maybe they’ll hire one of the Switch port pros to bring it over. I’m just not getting my hopes up for a Switch version just yet.
I’m beyond stoked for this news and I do hope for it to come to something Nintendo related, but it involving Warner Bros. and the better hardware, and will be "taking a more realistic approach to the graphics this time" remark leaves me with doubts that it will, at least not on Switch.
But Suda needs to contact James Gunn and get a sequel happening too.
"VGC points out how this is commonly used as the abbreviation for Switch." I'm not sure how that'll go, as it's been even more commonly used, for a very long time, as the abbreviation for New South Wales in Australia. But I have heard the fellas down south ready to welcome Mario as the new NSW Premier. He'll have to hand his red shirt and hat for blue ones then. And I guess that means Wario will take on the Maroon colours for Queensland.
If Monster Games didn’t ruin their relationship with Nintendo and then get acquired by iRacing, imo they’d be a good pick to develop a new F-Zero game. I guess there’s always a chance Shin'en (Neo Fast Racing) or 34BigThings (Redout) could helm a F-Zero game.
Though it may seem a little over the top, the reaction was expected, the game is a classic and they do this to it? You can’t deny the looks bad visually, a poor choice art style wise.
Ha! As if they would. By the time the game comes out we’ll likely be fully into the 9 gen, with last gen support being dropped, as we’ve seen that starting to happen already. You’d be better off hoping Nintendo’s successor console matches that of the current gen. Or hope that Capcom make a “DD:Rise” for Switch hardware.
@nocdaes What’s even funnier, is the fact that in the past, the likes of Atlus, having told Switch owning fans, that they hear them, that they should moan about it, and that they should just remain hopeful. Or the likes of SEGA basing their decisions on region exclusive releases, on a flop console, instead of the current market.
Games of every genre will always be compared to games of the same. The -like games are simply the comparison to games that did the genre at a highly praised standard first.
Graphically it looks nice, impressive even, but it doesn’t look like Samus at all.
And even if Nintendo had a console the power of a Series X or PS5, I highly doubt they would push Samus’ design to look something realistic like this.
Umm, what about The Good Life? You get to be a cat with glasses! And then there’s Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin, you can duel-weld cats and dogs!
And Raymond? Really? There’s heaps of better cats in AC. Unfortunately though, my favourite AC cat has been tainted by the internet, sigh*.
Crazy that Persona 3P, 4G and 5R, were announced for Xbox before a Nintendo console. Not to mention Soul Hackers 2, such an Atlus thing for them to do.

Re: The Creator Of Fire Emblem Has Released A Brand New Strategy RPG On Steam
Seems ironic deleting a comment for unconstructive feedback about a game that has nothing to do with Nintendo on a Nintendo site.

Re: Dragon Ball: The Breakers Finally Lands A Release Date, But Fan Reaction Is Mixed
It definitely should’ve been f2p, but at least it looks better than Jump Force.

Meh, Final Fantasy XII is better.

Re: Round Up: Here's What Critics And Fans Think Of The Resident Evil Netflix Series
It’s absolute garbage.
Re: Soapbox: 20 Years Later, Super Mario Sunshine Is Still The Best 3D Mario
Sunshine is good time, but what kind of delusional do you got to be to think it’s the best 3D Mario game?
Re: Poll: So, How Do You Pronounce 'Live A Live'?
The direct spokesman called it “liv-alive,” so that’s what it is called.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Mind If Nintendo Retired The 'Big' Nintendo Direct Format?

It’s just an anti-discrimination policy.
Re: Video: 3D Graphic Artist Spends 1200 Hours Reimagining Zelda 64 - Zora's Domain In Unreal Engine 5

Surprising, but then it also answers the reason for 30fps.

What-A-Joke.

Re: Ubisoft Confirms 'Roller Champions' Is Finally Out On Switch Today
I’d rather their snowboarding/extreme sports game.
Nintendo should really revive 1080 and WaveRace. A new Excite- game would be good too.
