I’ve got faith in WayForward doing a good job with this. Despite that and any review, for better or worse (hard to trust a critic’s opinion these days anyway, even this one), I hope this will bring the series back to life and we start seeing some new entries.
I’m fine with him not speaking in the games, though there are scene where he’s animated to imply that he is actually speaking to people, same with some NPC replies.
But if a Zelda movie is in the works, Link needs to talk, not much, but he needs to talk. I mean it worked with John Wick.
Fran is one of my all time favourite FF characters, and the Viera race is so interesting. At first I was kinda against seeing male Viera, but after reading the lore and how they operate, they just made the Viera race even cooler to me. I play as a Viera monk in FFXIV.
I love the games set in Ivalice and am hoping for a FF Tactics HD-2D collection.
As for Pokémon, I don’t care what people say or think, Lopunny is the best rabbit Pokémon.
And Coco? Seriously? When there’s Bonbon, Chrissy, Francine, Sasha and Gaston?
“Nintendo/Illumination bodies Disney, despite poor critic reviews” you love to see it. These days it’s best to simply not trust a critic, even this site as of late has gotten worse.
Console Wars was terrible. Went in expecting an informative, historical read, but got a cringy, over dramatic soap opera story instead.
Ready Player One was a decent read, but the movie was so bad. I get that they couldn’t get access to everything in the book, but I couldn’t even get past the first key segment being swapped out from Joust to a generic racer that the MC just so happened to be the first person to figure out to go backwards.
Yes, Princess Peach has shown that she can hold her own from time to time, and is not afraid to dive in first to lend a helping hand. But she’s always been depicted as gentle and kind, even when “getting down to business”.
Here, her character feels way off and more like what I’d expect to see from Princess Daisy.
But hey, they could have done worse, they could have done much worse.
@Joe-b I’m not sure which games you’re referring to, perhaps it is or has become so subtle that I’ve completely missed it. But Nintendo have always had mass appeal to a wide audience, without relying on the “checklists”. Especially out of the 3.
I hope they don’t change much. I would hate it, to the point of probably dropping any and all support and perhaps gaming altogether, if they started leaning heavily into certain “modern western ideologies”.
SNES ans N64 initially, but as more games get released it'll be now be the GBA. And I'd actually prefer that Nintendo would remaster GameCube and Wii games to Metroid Prime remastered's quality and remake DS and 3DS games for Switch and future consoles.
Let’s hope this one doesn’t end up with something “controversial” happening, Nintendo rightfully parts ways with them, leaving the internet to get “outraged” by Nintendo’s actions and throw up their #hashtags, again.
@Indielink
The mistake I made was not knowing how it was a limited time event, as it is an enclosed area and crowd control is very much needed, which helps with the lines, but it can still be quite crowded inside.
While the SNW area is the furthest part of the park (past the Jaws and Jurassic Park area and next to the Water World area) the terminals to get your time slot is near the middle of the park, (or down a road on your left just before Jaws). Getting your time slot as early as possible is a must, as I who got to the park at 10am and didn’t figure that out till about 12pm, got my time slot for 7:10pm.
But just look for the people in what I would describe as “Splatoon-like” uniforms, a white coat with different colours all over.
And having a working phone is a must for the USJ app, which would have help me immensely, my Japan sim stopped working and wifi was I bit iffy for me.
Getting one the “watches” is ideal if you want interact with the park, which is arguably the main feature, as you can’t get into Bowser’s Castle without having enough points.
The failure of the N64 service? I was able 100% Banjo Kazooie, I call that a success. The only thing the N64 service is lacking is the rest of the Rare games, it’s Star Wars titles and Buck Bumble.
And it’s still a terrible list. No way, no how, would I put Federation Force, Other M and Hunters below the original, Metroid 2 or pinball, Super ain’t better than Dread and the Prime Trilogy doesn’t really deserve it’s own spot.
That was a good direct. A lot of surprises, Metroid Prime, GB/C & GBA, Fantasy Life, Layton and Baten Kaitos being the bigger ones for me. Much better than the farm sim direct.
And damn, my boy Rex really filled out.
And I’ll definitely have to pick up FE: Engage, now that dommy mommy Camilla has arrived.
@Znake
And yet here we are, years after the re-release of Vanquish, and with all the things “in the game’s favour” when to comes to a potential Switch port, SEGA have done nothing and doubt they ever will.
But I’d be more than happy to be proven wrong in this case.
@Znake Not really, because there are plenty of games that SEGA simply won’t bring to the Switch. And when it comes to Vanquish, unless Nintendo puts money on the table, like they did with Bayonetta, it is most definitely a SEGA issue.

Re: Review: Final Fantasy I-VI Pixel Remaster - A Beautiful And Faithful Reimagining Of The Classics
Just when you thought FFXVI being PS5 exclusive was bad enough, the pricing for this is just ridiculous.
And people complained about LoZ:TotK.

Re: Community: Have You Played A Great Switch Game We Missed? Let Us Know About It
I don’t recall seeing a review, heck barely a mention, for Remnant: From the Ashes or Little Witch Nobeta. Both are great games.

I have more nostalgia for Pokémon Stadium 2, hopefully it won’t be too long before they drop it on NSO.
Re: Super Mario Bros. Movie Stars Discuss Who Should Play Wario In Possible Sequel
Wario would need to be some sort of protective father figure to a child for Pedro Pascal to play him.
Plus Wario isn’t more evil than Bowser, his origin is that he’s a greedy, jealous rival of Mario’s.

Re: Movie Review: The Super Mario Bros. Movie - A Fun Ride That Substitutes Story For Spectacle
I guess Peach being depicted as a strong, independent woman, who don’t need no Mario Bro, just wasn’t enough for NLife and the other “critics”.
Re: Video: Super Mario Bros. Movie 'Princess Peach Training Course' Clip Released
Again, why did they decide to give Peach, Daisy’s personality? It’s very off putting.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Atelier Ryza 3?
8/10. Great game, but took 2 points off due to a reduction in fan service.

Pretty weak effort this year, save for SEGA finally giving the Sonic series what it deserves, in the death of Sonic.

This is Nintendo Life, they don’t enjoy “fan service” like thighs, here.
Re: Feature: Atelier Ryza 3's Producer On Crafting The End And Shifting Away From Fanservice
If they truely have backed off on the “fan service”, Ryza 3 will be the weakest in the trilogy.
Truely disappointing if that’s the case.
