Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (22nd June)

I finally finished Persona 5 Tactica, and although the last few hours of the game were a drag, the ending was really good. It's a very overlooked game that you NEED to play. I just recently ordered the Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster, so while I wait for that to arrive I might do a few more sidequests I missed in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

I've been playing through Persona 5 Tactica and I am very close to the end. I am on the 4th kingdom, and to be honest, this game should've ended at the 3rd. That one's ending was one of the best scenes in the entire Persona 5 series, and would've made a perfect end to the game. However, with this kingdom, nothing interesting, asset reuse, and the obligatory Persona god (and the worst one yet). I swear, I love Atlus but sometimes they frustrate me.

Can I just say thank you for changing the percentages to numbers? This is so much better! We used to always have so many games saying zero percent which made no sense!

Recently I've been playing Persona 5 Tactica. So far I would say that I was a tad bit disappointed by the lack of exploration which was probably my favourite element from Persona 5 Royal and Strikers, but it's totally made up for in the challenge stages and objectives. Some of them are brutal but really well designed. The story doesn't seem too crazy and I've predicted all of the plot twists so far. Maybe it will get better?

@JRiegler I’d disagree! Maybe people buy a Switch for the Nintendo games, but a lot of people like myself go on to try a variety of games from different developers. However most of them aren’t exclusive.

I have been playing The Legend of Heroes Trails in the Sky the 3rd. What a mouthful of a title! Anyway, I think as of now it is okay. I feel like it seems to be lacking in ambition from the previous games. Some people argue that the first Trails in the Sky game is a prologue, which I heavily disagree to. It does more than enough to be a stand alone game. But so far, I would agree that Sky the 3rd feels like an epilogue. Hardly anything interesting going on apart from the exposition dumps (in the form of the memory doors) which aren't even relevant to Kevin and Ries' story. I'm only 10 hours in and am at Chapter 4, so it seems like this might be a pretty short journey.

Recently, I've been playing Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition. My first question is, how on Earth was this a Wii and also A 3DS GAME?! Seriously impressive. So far I have only played the 3rd game in this series, but wanted to try this one after I heard positive things about the story. Gameplay wise it is a bit of a downgrade from 3, but still it's still quite fun. I'm about 7 hours in and I'm not exactly sure where the story is going but I'm definitely not bored. Also, anyone who says this isn't open world, it's more of a technicality if anything. This game's world is huge. I've heard some don't like how big it is, but I find it very relaxing. 😊

I think Atlus should consider rethinking how they make their games. From their interviews, it's apparent to me that they go into releasing a game knowing it's not going to the final, finished version. I don't think that this is a good habit...
