Let it be known for public record. If you’re going to make a game about wheelchair basketball you should check the physics with the experience of shooting hoops from a wheelchair in real life.
I feel this is not rocket science but thank goodness they figured it out here. Lesser mortals would not have. For sure it has let to a better game.
I’m playing Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Just finished Deep Magma Bog. Still not a bad level in the whole entire game.
I’m very glad they held off releasing it until they were happy. Like the review from this site says it seems to have produced a wonderful game to rival even Super Mario World.
@Shiryu Thank you so much for the bug reports. I still play Debris Infinity all the time like every few weeks. I love it so much I submitted it to the Nintendo Life article on games they missed that don’t have reviews.
The one thing I would change in Debris Infinity is I would like to keep my powered up weapon until I get hit. I don’t want it to run out by itself.
I went to the games I haven’t played much and found Kid Tripp, an auto-runner where you can jump and shoot. It has quick restart which is good as you die a lot. That was seriously fun.
Also I’m working on finishing the wonderful Super Mario Bros. Wonder. I’m nearly there.
(Honestly I tried to get this SNES controller as soon as I saw the article headline but I had trouble. Maybe they are sold out already?)
Edit: I GOT ONE! Maybe someone cancelled their order.
I have literally been waiting for this for years. I am so excited to play U Deluxe and all the other 2D Mario games available on Switch and Switch Online with an SNES controller.
The Japan cover is a deserving winner. I thought the North America cover looked a bit cheesy but I voted for it because it has an actual screen grab in the cover. I hardly ever see that. That is so cool.
(I get annoyed when I see a game advert and no actual gameplay is there. It’s all cutscenes. Nintendo are actually pretty good at showing the actual game in adverts.)
I have been playing Super Mario World for a few weekends now. Having a great time. They are the most popular 2D Mario physics of professional players so it is not going to hurt for me to practice them.
Even though Sony moved the goalpost and said PlayStation 2 actually sold 160 million units I have still been wondering if Switch 1 can sell over that and become the bestselling console of all time.
I’m doing another playthrough of Super Mario World, playing on Nintendo Switch Online so I can use rewind to keep Yoshi for longer. It’s been really fun.
@somnambulance Resident Alien. Sometimes all it takes is the cast and the cover photo and I’m sold. It helps that I love everything I have seen Alan Tudyk in.
Now I’ve just seen the trailer and I’m super sold.
I dipped in to see what Switch 1 free demos there were and downloaded Toree Saturn and SHINOBI: Art Of Vengeance and was very impressed with both of them.
The Toree game is like the other Toree games with bright colours and exciting gameplay and good controls.
The SHINOBI game is fun to play and has good controls and really excellent graphics.
I got Switch 1 with grey Joy-Cons and I like that it looks smaller to me in handheld mode. But the blue and red ones are such lovely colours I eventually got a pair of those separately.
@MarkSeteth72 The Switch 2 Pro Controller sticks are smoother at the edges than the Switch 1 Pro Controller sticks. That is going to feel like a big upgrade to some people.
@The-Chosen-one PowerA d-pads are nearly as good as 8BitDo ones and official SNES ones. It’s in the sticks where the PowerA controllers really shine though.
@hisownsidekick Thia site does indeed change colour depending on content. For example GameCube articles are purple to try and be like the indigo GameCube console.

Re: PSA: Copy Your Save In Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Before You Enter The Endgame
Gosh. Doing one hundred percent, doing every scan and finding everything is the game to some people.
Re: Drag x Drive Devs Tried Wheelchair Basketball In Prep For Game
@JohnnyMind I agree totally. Well said. They did a good job on Drag x Drive.
Re: Drag x Drive Devs Tried Wheelchair Basketball In Prep For Game
https://www.nintendolife.com/users/AlanaHagues Just a quick note to you but I really like your writing on this site. Thank you for doing it.

Re: Turok And Turok 2 Have Been Updated, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
Thank you Nightdive. These are awesome games. I particularly like Turok 2.

Re: Nintendo Has Scheduled Maintenance For 3DS Later Today
Yes. I’m still using this service. Until New Super Mario Bros. 2 comes to Switch I will still fire my 2DS XL up every once in a while.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (6th November)
@Eduard_Brenton Greetings!
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - SNES Classic Mini Console
I voted Europe because that’s the version I have. Absolutely beautiful piece of kit, by the way. Highly recommended.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (22nd November)
@Shiryu I love Geometry Wars. I hope Sektori will make it to Switch.
At the moment my Geometry Wars itch is being scratched on Switch by the excellent Debris Infinity.
Re: Game Of The Year Nominee Donkey Kong Bananza Wins Critics' Choice Award
Yes. A deserved win. This game is apparently very fun to play.
Re: The Game Awards Nominees Announced, Donkey Kong Bananza Up For GOTY
I voted for Bonanza over Expedition 33. I have neither game but have watched people play both and I preferred Bonanza.
Re: Super Mario Bros. Wonder: 13 Tricks, Tips & Hints
Handy article. Thank you.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Inazuma Eleven
Japan for me. They are both good but I just like that one better.
(Now I read the article I notice that Japan doesn’t have the football pitch. If I could vote again maybe that one.)
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (15th November)
I’ve been playing Super Mario Bros. Wonder with an SNES controller this weekend. I’ve been waiting years for this moment and it’s been nice.
Re: ICYMI: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Teases Rosalina And Bowser Jr. Scenes, Here's A First Look
I really like Brie Larson. I’m happy to see her in this film.
I actually really like Baby Bowser here too. He’s not too scary for younger children and they are clearly the main target audience.

Re: Anniversary: 20 Years Ago, 'GUN' Brought America's Old West (And An All-Star Cast) To GameCube
Game looks good. This article is right: the voice acting is excellent.
The GameCube version is £10 at CeX today. Looks like good value.

Re: Feature: The Art I 'Stole' From Nintendo
Preserving artwork that is going to be thrown away isn’t stealing. It’s hero work. 😎
Just saying.
(Personally my favourite is the Nintendo logo done on the back of the envelope by Jim Malie.)
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (1st November)
I’m doing another playthrough of Super Mario World, playing on Nintendo Switch Online so I can use rewind to keep Yoshi for longer. It’s been really fun.
Re: Nintendo On Why The Mario Kart World Album Isn't Available For Nintendo Music
I don’t use the Nintendo Music app much but I listen to the Wind Waker main music so much. I love them so.
Re: Biped 2 Waddles Onto Switch Next Month With Even More Nintendo-Style Co-Op Chaos
I actually really like short games. I often choose a two hour game or a twenty hour game over a two hundred hour game.
Re: PSA: Struggling With Luigi's Mansion's Inverted Controls? You Can 'Fix' Them On NSO
Great article. We need modern controls please
I like modern controls. It was jarring when I finally got Wind Waker for GameCube last year and look left and look right were inverted.
I got used to it and see why they did it at the time.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
I voted North America/Europe because I like it a bit more but these are both excellent.
Re: Nintendo Updates Its Music App With Another DS Soundtrack
Immediate download for me. Thanks to this article for the heads up.

Re: Metroid Prime Remastered Almost Had Completely New Cutscenes
Yeah this game is a work of genius. I’m glad it is still the same cutscenes.
Re: Mailbox: Metroid Excitement Levels, Game Clubs, "The Galaxy Strategy" - Nintendo Life Letters
That Sonic drawing is excellent.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Hey You, Pikachu!
In a way I can’t really even explain I like the North American one better.
Re: Rumour: Nintendo Patent Supposedly Points To Return Of DS Games
Ever since I heard about Switch 2 I have been predicting the Nintendo Switch Online updating to DS on Switch 1 and 3DS on Switch 2.
I want both so much.
Re: PSA: Mix And Match Your Switch OLED At Nintendo's New Store (US)
I got Switch 1 with grey Joy-Cons and I like that it looks smaller to me in handheld mode. But the blue and red ones are such lovely colours I eventually got a pair of those separately.
Re: Nintendo Is Opening Its Fourth Store In Japan This Year
Really good idea being able to choose your Joy-Con colours on a new Switch 1. I like that a lot.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Fatal Fury Special (SNES)
@Potimarron I didn’t see the smiling young woman on the Japanese cover yet. My life is better for your comment. Thank you.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Fatal Fury Special (SNES)
I don’t know why but the North America/Europe one calls to me more.
Maybe it’s because I’m used to Europe covers and this is a more Japanese style cover which Japan are used to.
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's SNES Library With Three More Titles
Well. I love pltformers and Bubsy looks awesome actually.
Re: Inti Creates Unveils New "Paper Craft" 2D Action Game For Switch 2, Out October
Game looks great, honestly.

Re: PowerA Is Gunning For The Switch 2 Pro Controller With A New Pad
This will be interesting. I can’t wait to try this controller.
(The PowerA wired controller for Switch 1 feels great and is really good value for money and is also officially licensed which means a lot to me.)

Re: "Lighting Is The Crucial Factor" - How Square Enix Made Final Fantasy VII Remake Look Great On Switch 2
https://www.nintendolife.com/users/Olliemar28 Ollie. Please pardon me. At the end of the article it should be 22nd January 2026 not 2025.
Good article. Lighting on Luigi’s Mansion and recently Silksong have been excellent and improve how the graphics look.
