I’m having such a good time this weekend playing Rush Rally 3. Rush Rally 1 is an isometric car rally game but 3 has added a 3D view as well as isometric and the physics are really good.
(If you are having trouble with the 3D you can instantly switch to isometric so you can see the whole of the corner you are taking. Really good idea.)
Honestly had a great time gaming this weekend. I really got into it and my choice of games really helped. Super Mario Odyssey. Neon White. Ridge Racer 64 (on Nintendo Switch Online.) But the highlight was Super Mario 3D Land on 2DS. What an amazing game. The graphics are lovely and each secret is a joy to find.
Forsaken looks awesome. Great gameplay and great music. I’d love to get it on Switch with modern controls and updated graphics. Also it’s £4 unboxed today if you have an N64.
Joe Rogan had Bono on his podcast recently and they were suggesting a good use of A.I. would be to use some of these very high salaries and money from billionaires to feed water clothe and shelter every person on Earth.
@nukatha That PowerA wireless GameCube controller is a fantastic controller.
(The only weirdness I have with it is the A button has way more travel than the Nintendo one.)
Sunshine is a wonderful game and my favourite 3D Mario. The music is great and sometimes I just want to turn on a game and go to a nice place.
(I missed it on GameCube because I could only afford the bargain bin used games that people didn’t want and it was never there. Actually that speaks volumes. No-one wanted to part with their copy of Sunshine.)
@VoidofLight “ . . . the shrines are really easy to complete if you know that the Depths are just a mirror world version of the main map- and all the light roots are underneath the shrines.“
Thank you so much. I honestly didn’t know they. Very handy information.
My two favourite things in this article are the being able to change the X-axis in Wind Waker and being able to see the GameCube startup screen on a Switch 2. These are really going to blow my mind.
Flicky. (Switch Online Mega Drive app.) Star Wars Episode I: Racer. Fast RMX. GRID Autosport. Super Mario Sunshine. (3D All-Stars.)
I had such a lovely time spontaneously playing the games I really wanted to play at the time. Clear highlights were Pod Racer and Super Mario Sunshine.where the graphics improvements on the originals are really noticeable.
I played my first Wind Waker on GameCube recently. The opposite X-axis was pretty jarring at first. Actually after a few minutes it added itself to the character of the game.
Having said that I’m changing it to modern controls first chance I get.
@speed_loafer Goos question. YouTube is my TV watching as I don’t watch TV. I mostly watch on my phone but it’s handy on Switch so I don’t drain my phone battery.
Also YouTube is super handy for if I’m stuck on a level in a game. There’s normally a YouTube tutorial online.
I know what you mean. A Switch should just be for games but it’s really useful that it is more.
@AussieMcBucket I wanted to mention my Powerwash control scheme in case you don’t use it. Instead of pressing and holding ZR down for water I press and release Left on the left joy-con to toggle water on/off. This makes a huge difference to playability and I couldn’t go back to using ZR now.
Other than that the things I use all the time are joy-con Right to show the dirt and ZL to toggle the spray vertical/horizontal.
Oh yes. And I press the right stick button down twice to bend down when I clean floors. It tends to be faster. (The third click stands you up again.)
I’ll be getting this. I’m a sucker for double jump and collecting things.
I’m not getting the Switch 2 any time soon so I can’t play the Chibi-Robo coming and I don’t want to pay the second hand price for the GameCube disk of Chibi-Robo.
This game may be a very reasonable affordable option.
I spread the love of Annalynn yesterday. The game that’s like a platforming PAC-MAN got played by the ten year old and the seven year old boys here and they loved it and completed it.
Also I had a lovely little half hour walk through Super Mario Sunshine.
I’m playing Annalynn. It’s a 2D platformer and is a cross between Donkey Kong and PAC-MAN. Honestly it’s awesome. If anyone has £4.29 in the eShop I can thoroughly recommend it.
This is big. A whole lot of good improvements. I particularly like the ‘Turok will now rotate when on a spinning platform’ one. That must have looked weird before.
I saw it here and know I love 2D platformers. And it combines Super Mario, PAC-MAN and Donkey Kong? Turns out that is an accurate description. Game plays GREAT. Well worth £4.29.

Re: Around 1 In 3 Switch 2 Owners Bought New Pro Controller Despite High Price Point (US)
The Switch 1 controller is nearly perfect. So comfy. This Switch 2 controller will be even better with the smooth edges for the two thumbsticks.

Re: Nintendo Music Update Adds Another Mario Album, Here's Every Song Included
Yay! My favourite 2D Mario. Well this game and Super Mario Bros. 1. Nintendo Music already has that and now having U Deluxe is excellent news.
For me the best 2D Mario music is from Super Mario Land for OG Game Boy. Fantastic music in that game.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (3rd May)
I’ve been playing and enjoying Annalynn. (Super Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong and PAC-MAN all mixed together.)
It’s really short like one hour so I don’t mind that the difficulty is quite high.
