Powerwash Simulator. What a wonderful game. It’s given me the sense of calm that I was looking for and the gaming Adrenalin pumped feeling at the same time. Hard to describe how good this is. What a great game.
@AlexOlney Oh yeah. Gyro aiming. Thank you Alex. This is why you are such a good reviewer. I love this game but was struggling a bit with the controls and didn’t even think of gyro.
Oh. My. God. Dadish might be the best game I’ve ever played for how little money it is. So good value for money, the level design is great and I really like the comedy conversations the family have. It’s really good on mobile as well.
@YarnPoochy Sorry. I've no idea why my Control Pad buttons didn't work yesterday. I've tried the demo version and the full version today and you're good to go with d-pad on Joy-Con or Pro Controller.
Pepper Grinder! I fell in love with this game as soon as I saw it. Thank goodness there is a free demo which I played and yep. I love it. I'm getting the full version.
I think I had played Super Mario Bros. 1 by the time I owned and played Super Mario Land but I loved it and still do. It was the first Mario game I owned and it felt really special.
I still play through it sometimes, including just the other day. I can thoroughly recommend it.
Weirdly at the moment I'd much rather see a sequel to the 3DS game New Super Mario Bros. 2 on Switch. (The one where all you do is collect coins.)
That game is so fun.
(About Super Mario Land not being on Switch Onlne .) Hmmm. I'm suspicious now. Do you think Nintendo are going to remake Super Mario Land instead of releasing the original game?
I’m playing the Princess Peach: Showtime demo to see if I like it. It’s not the type of game I usually play but I find my next new favourite game could come from anywhere.
Amazing. This is not the kind of game I could buy on the off chance it is good but I cant wait to play the demo. I've been looking forward to this game and I hope it's good.
Edit: it is good. The bramble bush boss fight is a little easy but the cake decorating section is a joy to play. It kind of feels more like playing mini games. I'm getting it for my birthday.
@Qwiff Gyro aiming with Split Pad Pro. Thank you for mentioning this. I noticed it playing Quake 1 on Switch with a Split Pad. It made an already good game way better and I’m sure a lot of people don’t know we can do this.
I actually love Lego 2K Drive. The fact that you change vehicle depending on the surface you’re on means you can just keep your finger on the accelerator. Great fun and the car game I’ve been waiting for my whole life.
@ChromaticDracula I understand. I have Geometry Wars DS and it’s incredible. I scratch that itch on Switch with Debris Infinity. It’s a great game fairly priced. (£4.49 on eShop.)
Admittedly it’s not quite as good as Geometry Wars so I use it for shorter play sessions but I love it.
Yeah. I notice the auto-shooter bit is very polarising. I’ve actually never played one before but I’ve played the twin-stick shooters in this style. (Geometry Wars and Debris Infinity.)
Thank you to the company for supplying a demo. I’ll get the demo and I bet I like it and get the full game.
Having a good time playing Super Mario Maker on 2DS.
I wanted to play the U Deluxe levels with the extra spin jump on the R button so I wrote down all the Coursebot levels that are U Deluxe and am playing through them. Good fun.
I just fired up Tropical Freeze on Switch and found the next level was the mining cart one, just like the iconic one from Donkey Kong Country 1. That was a lovely memorable moment.
I’m hoping it will be called Switch 2. The name has gained a lot of traction, it is easy to understand, and it will feel a lot like the DS becoming the 3DS.
I know exactly what you mean. When I was younger I realised I was able to re-read a book because enough time had passed that I had forgotten what happened. And the world was good. 😊
I have to say I didn't know the man in this article and I've only recently become aware of Eiji Aonuma after this site reported he's played through Tears Of The Kingdom twenty times and has never got bored.
(I'm a Mario guy but I have played a little Ocarina Of Time and Tears Of The Kingdom.)
@Debo626 No. And thank you so much for being polite. This site is SO friendly. I haven't seen such levels of politeness since the Scottish band Travis's online chat page decades ago. 😊

Re: Super Mario Maker Community Clears 'Trimming The Herbs' Just Days Before Wii U Online Shutdown
What was that like nine frame perfect jumps? That was insane but actually I thought someone might be able to do it.
Amazing effort.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (6th April)
Powerwash Simulator. What a wonderful game. It’s given me the sense of calm that I was looking for and the gaming Adrenalin pumped feeling at the same time. Hard to describe how good this is. What a great game.
Re: Nintendo Reveals New Details For Endless Ocean Luminous
After getting massively into Powerwash Simulator I can imagine me loving this game.
Re: Atari's Arcade-Inspired Racer 'NeoSprint' Speeds Onto Switch This Year
Hmmm. It looks alright. This is definitely catching my interest. I must admit I loved Sprint in the arcades when I was younger.
Also I LOVE Super Woden GP, an isometric car game. That is absolutely amazing.
Re: Mini Review: PowerWash Simulator - Scrubs Up Well On Switch
@AlexOlney Oh yeah. Gyro aiming. Thank you Alex. This is why you are such a good reviewer. I love this game but was struggling a bit with the controls and didn’t even think of gyro.

@Takoda April not March. Well spotted.
Re: Community: What's The Best Switch eShop Game We Missed? (March 2024)
I love these articles. It’s often where I find hidden gems.
Re: Charming Platforming Series 'Dadish' Goes 3D On Switch Next Month
Oh. My. God. Dadish might be the best game I’ve ever played for how little money it is. So good value for money, the level design is great and I really like the comedy conversations the family have. It’s really good on mobile as well.
I can see Dadish 3D being absolutely awesome.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (30th March)
I really needed to chill for the Easter break so Pepper Grinder and Powerwash Simulator. I’m glad I played them as well. Really good times.
Re: Review: Pepper Grinder (Switch) - A Cracking Platformer That Drills Down & Strikes Gold

Re: Review: Pepper Grinder (Switch) - A Cracking Platformer That Drills Down & Strikes Gold
Oh. My. God. What a game. What. A. Game. I love it. I got the full version and it's so good.
Everyone. Please. We all owe it to ourselves to at least play the free demo to see if we like it.
2D platformer are my favourite and for me this is a 10/10 game.
Believe the hype this game is generating. It's fully deserved.
Re: That's A Wrap! The Sonic The Hedgehog 3 Movie Is Done Filming
I've got to admit I like the first two films.
Re: Review: Pepper Grinder (Switch) - A Cracking Platformer That Drills Down & Strikes Gold
@YarnPoochy Hiya. The demo plays only with the left analogue stick. I tried the Control Pad buttons and they didn't work.
Re: Review: Pepper Grinder (Switch) - A Cracking Platformer That Drills Down & Strikes Gold
Pepper Grinder! I fell in love with this game as soon as I saw it. Thank goodness there is a free demo which I played and yep. I love it. I'm getting the full version.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give 'Princess Peach: Showtime!'?
The demo feels like a game full of mini games, which I like.
Re: Leaked Trailer For Sonic's New Mobile Game Gives Off Major 'Fall Guys' Vibes
Nintendo Life. Please do keep us updated on when this game releases. I’m very interested to play it.
Re: Surprise, Adding Ultrahand To Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Was A Bit Tricky
Ultrahand is amazing. That and the sky islands you begin on made the game for me.
Re: Video: Don't Be Fooled Into Buying Fake SD Cards For Your Switch
Getting a SanDisk is good advice. Personally I buy them from the reputable U.K. supermarkets because their supply chains are secure.
Re: LEGO 2K Drive Adds New Content, Features, And Bug Fixes In Update 5
No way. I have and love this game. Thanks for the article.
(I’m not the kind of gamer to worry over slightly imperfect graphics. The game is so fun. That’s all I need.)
Re: Hands On: We've Played Princess Peach: Showtime! - Is It Any Good?
Great review @AlexOlney
Re: Hands On: We've Played Princess Peach: Showtime! - Is It Any Good?
Princess Peach’s power on the B button is why I like this game so much. She spreads light around and makes things better around her.
Honestly I do my best to do the same in my real life and I really connect with Peach doing it.
B button. 😎
Re: Princess Peach: Showtime! Demo Now Available On The Switch eShop
I really enjoyed that cake making level. It’s pretty decent.

Re: Feature: Meet Morphcat Games, The New-Gen NES Devs Pushing The 8-Bit Envelope
Both these games look really good. Böbl in particular I want to play right now. Switch release? Please, take my money.
Re: New Metroidvania From CERN Physicist Focuses On The Wonder Of Science
Actually I’m down for this. I’m not the biggest fan of combat and I like games where it can be avoided and you can still complete the level.
This sounds like the kind of game that will make me smarter.
Re: Geometry Survivor Brings Rogue-Lite Survival Auto-Shooter Action To Switch
Geometry Survivor is sick actually. Really good.
I play Debris Infinity on Switch all the time and still play Geometry Wars on DS sometimes so I love these type of games.
It’s £4.29 but I had some Gold Points and got it for £1.34.
I wondered if I could be player one and player two with a Joy-Con in each hand but it doesn’t seem to have two player.
I think I’m over-complicating it. Games like this I play for years but in short bursts.
Re: Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble Is Rolling Exclusively Onto Switch Later This Year
@olliemar28 First brand-new Super Monkey Ball game in 10 yearS. First paragraph.
(I hope I’m helping. Your articles are always good and entertaining, by the way.)

Sweet. I love Crazy Taxi. 😎
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 17th)
Super Mario Sunshine on Switch with a GameCube controller. I’m taking my time at the beginning taking it all in.

Re: New Star GP's Retro Racing Speeds Onto Switch This March
Reminds me of F1 Pole Position 64 on N64. Looks really good. 😎
Re: Players Need To Start "Feeling Comfortable" With Not Owning Games, Says Ubisoft Subs Boss
I would have been fine with streaming services if they offer everything forever but they don’t. They take films and TV shows away from us.
That is simply not acceptable with games.
I am trying out buying only eShop games for Switch but the few games I know I’ll be playing thirty years from now I buy physical.
Re: Poll: What Do You Think Of The Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown Demo?
😍
Wow. I really really enjoyed that demo and it made me want to buy the game. I'll get it for my birthday when I get The Spirit And The Mouse.
Re: Talking Point: What Will The 'Switch 2' Actually Be Called?

Re: More Tomb Raider Trilogy Info Promised 'Soon' As Fans Question Lack Of Gameplay
I’d love to play these Tomb Raiders. Apart from playing a bit of The Angel Of Darkness on Mac back in the day I haven’t really had the chance.

Re: Feature: Zelda's Forgotten Steward - Who Is Hidemaro Fujibayashi?
@Maxz Ahhh poo. I spotted that but got distracted by a typo that wasn't a typo. 😊
I do normally mention typos in these comments and the busy writers are normally thankful.
Re: Feature: Zelda's Forgotten Steward - Who Is Hidemaro Fujibayashi?
@Solomon_Rambling Gosh. We are going to have the article writer come here now and politely apologies for what wasn't even a typo, aren't we. 😊
I do like Ollie's articles. They are always good.
