Neon White on Switch is absolutely amazing. Fast and smooth. This will be interesting to see how these pieces fall and what companies develop from this.
I also think Grand Theft Auto V would be a great shout and it’s still very popular. In the past I wouldn’t have thought it very Nintendo but these days the first three are on Switch so it’s fair game.
I said yes but only the biggest, most recognisable, and then regretted my decision when everyone picked the more the merrier one. 😊
Gosh. This is interesting. I can see how people would love to see their loved third party icons and I can see Nintendo wanting to keep it to Nintendo first party icons only.
I bet they open it up to third party icons. I’m thinking like Smash Brothers and all the characters added there.
I’m glad people are liking this game. I have the demo and will check it out this weekend. This is why I’m such a supporter of Nintendo. It’s for experiences like this that stay with you.
Rush Rally 3 this weekend. I had just opened up all the courses in Rush Rally Origins and was inspired to get Rush Rally 3 where you can change the view back and forth from helicopter chase view to true 3D rallying. SO fun.
And I collected a few more flowers in Yoshi’s Crafted World. I only need about ten more now.
It’s probably better for Nintendo to officially announce the timeframe of the Switch successor because developers might already be working on games and if they leak that they are working on a game for it we shrug our shoulders because already know it is going to be announced.
I do think they are totally right to remind people that the Switch successor is not going to be in shops by the end of March 2025
The way I see this is places like Amazon Prime Video and Netflix have more money now than before. Some of their shows are bad. Some okay. Some amazing.
For this reason I’m pleased to welcome Amazon Games in. They may well make my game of the year one of these years.
I can recommend this Star Wars Episode 1 Racer updated graphics version. It’s amazing. It’s always been a great game and it’s nice to see the graphics get sharpened up.
Please have a go at Powerwash Simulator if you can. It’s awesome. And yes, get the D.L.C. The most fun I had was cleaning the Lara Croft mansion and the SpongeBob SquarePants level.
I’ve just picked up Little Kitty, Big City and it’s beautiful. So fun. And I need that cuteness to rest with after playing the Doom 1 re-release and trying to finish the secret world in Yoshi’s Crafted World.
No. WAY. That’s so cool. It feels like I’ve been waiting forever for this. I missed it on N64.
I’m trying to think now but after Glover I think it’s only Chibi Robo from the GameCube I’m waiting for on Switch now and apparently a Chibi Robo successor is getting a Switch release soon.
@RubyCarbuncle Seafront arcades. I couldn’t agree more. It’s also shaped my gaming. I stopped gaming when my money ran out, which was pretty quickly. Now I’ll play a game for maybe forty five minutes, which means I’m not the person who is there for twenty four hours with cola bottles full of wee under the gaming desk. 😊
Why do they keep releasing Doom? Because it’s SO MUCH FUN! I’ve just had a blast playing these two again.
Quick side note. In these two new Switch versions B is Use. In the older versions A is Use. This actually means it’s much easier to play the game but you have to use B to accept in the menus instead of A which is confusing.
I’m guessing they did this so in cross-platform multiplayer everyone has the same controls.
This could have been so bad but actually the trailer looks really good.
It’s a bit of a sign where actors like Kate Blanchett, Jamie Lee Curtis and Jack Black do a film like this. Often it’s a sign they are putting their seal of approval on it and it’s not just cheese.
I also really like Kevin Hart in films.
Edit. reads the reviews in the article Oh.
I’ll still watch it. I like the actors and I like Guardians 2 and that’s cheese.
I got a U.K. demo at 7pm today and oh what a game. You owe it to yourself to play it. I love it. I connected with it straight away.
I loaded up the NES Nintendo Switch Online version first and thought it was okay but I prefer SNES games to NES and that’s the upgrade that this felt like: Shadow Of The Ninja - Reborn feels like an SNES game.
I’ll buy it this month because I want to support really good game developers.
It’s a shame it’s a Zelda game and needs to not be complicated by a name change but it might have been nice. I wonder if anyone at Nintendo thought of it?
Or maybe some people are watching the original Switch trailers because Switch 2 is coming and realising they have Tears Of The Kingdom but never bought Breath Of The Wild.
I’ll be opening up some more of Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition. I love how this game is showing people cool shortcuts and secrets from NES games. Very well written game.
I’m playing Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition but in the short term the short levels are testing my patience so I’ll play for a few minutes and then leave. Long term it is going to be a delight all these games are grouped in one place and it really goes feel like I am training to be a world champion.
Also the same for Super Mario Odyssey. Playing for a bit and then leaving has been fun.
I’m really interested in this game. I’ll get it as soon as I can.
I really like Ovivo on Switch. In that you press A to toggle black or white and traverse the area. Schim is very similar but instead of toggling you jump from shadow to shadow.
Ovivo still has a free demo if you want to play a similar game with similarly good music while you’re waiting for Schim to get a bigger sale.
I could see Nintendo doing a Switch 2 OLED and also a Switch 2 LCD to keep the price down so more people join Switch 2.
Or Switch 2 might be a premium product with non-detachable Joy-Cons to make room for the higher processing but they then still sell all the Switch 1 models.
Oh thank you Nintendo Switch Online. I haven’t played or even seen this and I love platformers. Instant play.
Edit. Played the first one. I like it a lot. It feels like early Kirby games but you press and hold A to float Starfy rather than spamming A to flap Kirby.

Re: PSA: Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom Has Reportedly Leaked Online In Full
I’m the person who waits for release day and actually purchases the product, thereby helping the company make the next great game down the road.
And I am not the only one, judging by the sales of Tears Of The Kingdom.
Re: Talking Point: What Game Should Be 'Switch 2's 'Skyrim Moment'?
Nice. I voted Elden Ring and it’s the top result.
I also think Grand Theft Auto V would be a great shout and it’s still very popular. In the past I wouldn’t have thought it very Nintendo but these days the first three are on Switch so it’s fair game.
Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Almost Had A Different Name
I love stories like this. It’s a bit like in films where another actor nearly got cast in a film and how different our world would be.
This isn’t as big as Will Smith turning down The Matrix but I’m glad Nintendo think of things like this.

Re: New 'Touhou' Rhythm Game Mixes Bullet Hell, Falling-Notes And Toby Fox Tunes
This will be pretty sweet if it plays well. I’ve done some time in rhythm games like this. You can get well into them.
I like it when you tap and hold a note. Makes me feel like a rockstar doing a guitar solo. 😊
Re: Rumour: Switch "Successor" Will Be Backwards Compatible, It's Claimed
2 billion yen and 1 billion yen. That’s an interesting amount of money. Big enough an amount to do some real good.
(That’s £10 million for production and £5 million for automation.)

Re: Nintendo Is Expanding Switch Online's NES Library With Another Classic
Sure. Il check this out. I’m always up for seeing what my favourite version of Tetris is.
I remember playing the N64 version and loving you can press up to immediately land your blocks. That’s the first time I had done that.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (24th August)
Rush Rally Origins and Yoshi’s Crafted World for me. Playing like I used to in arcades: play for a while, get a little progress and then leave.

@BANJO It is a fantastic game. I couldn’t believe the graphics and the handling at the time and I still love them.
Re: Aspyr Publisher Switch Sale, Up To 95% Off - Star Wars, Tomb Raider & More (US)
@FatWormBlowsASparky Haahaaa! New track record! I just got a wave of nostalgia. Thank you. 😊

@canaryfarmer Yes. Remap can come in very handy but I do like it when default controls are really good.

I like the look of this very much.

Re: Nintendo Reconfirms Release Windows For Major Upcoming Switch Games
Interesting. No landslide victory for Metroid. I respect that and will check out the Zelda game.
Re: Random: Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Sold Better Than Tears Of The Kingdom Last Quarter
That is so crazy and yet so cool.
Maybe the Wii U audience is starting to upgrade?

Game looks fun. Thanks Nintendo Life for the shoutout. I’ll have a look.
Re: Poll: Are You Ready To Move On From The Switch?
Easily more than twenty games in my Switch backlog.
I’ll make a face like Steve Carell at the top of this article but it’s more of a joy cry as there are so many good games there.

Re: Famicom Controllers For Switch Are Now Up For General Sale In Japan

Re: Nintendo Strips Team Jackpot Of Splatoon 3 World Championship Win
@JohnnyMind Yes. Be polite. You’re so right. It’s so easy but makes such a difference.
Re: Nintendo Japan Expands 'Controller Button Collection' With SNES, N64 & GameCube Keychains
My favourite is the GameCube buttons one. I like all Nintendo controllers but if it’s supposed to be bought just to be looked at then yeah. GameCube.
They went over and above on the smoothness of the design for that controller. It still looks so futuristic.
Re: Nintendo Japan Expands 'Controller Button Collection' With SNES, N64 & GameCube Keychains
I bet they don’t work as wireless controllers but wouldn’t that be SO SICK. 😎
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (20th July)
I’m playing Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition but in the short term the short levels are testing my patience so I’ll play for a few minutes and then leave. Also the same for Super Mario Odyssey. Playing for a bit and then leaving has been fun.
Re: SCHiM
Looks great. I’ll get it as soon as I can. It caught my eye in the indie demo and it’s exactly the kind of chill game I like.

Instant preorder for me. I can’t wait for this. It’s going to bring back the good feelings of being in the seafront arcades in the nineties.
