@ClickBrick i tried it a few weeks ago, and its not bad at all! i think if it were a spinoff rather than a replacement to paper mario people would be a lot less up in arms about it

@Anti-Matter sweet collection! I made the mistake when I was younger of throwing away the game cases, so I only have carts and discs and of my old games. I’ve since begun to rebuild my collection at flea markets and the like, but in the meantime I’ve been playing the sonic cd 3ds fan port between sections of my research paper. as if we even need to say what it is on this list that we're all gonna play! It's been pretty exciting seeing all the ttyd remake love, including the staggeringly high preorder numbers. Ive got a really good feeling about this remake, and i think it might just put paper mario back on track if the support and sales are strong. It really strikes me as interesting what time this game is releasing at though. I wonder if nintendo's strategy rn, as the switch is dying down, is to put out more core audience/fan favorite games and remasters. Given that theyre probably working on two different systems right now (the switch and whatever comes next), this is a great way to have their cake and eat it too: make remakes of fan-favorites for the old console that take less effort over a brand new game, and make those brand new games for the next system so it has a strong launch. Why else would they just throw ttyd, smrpg, and lm2 remakes at us back to back?

yess! im so glad this game turned out good after all these years. I remember hearing about it back in that dunkey pax 2017 video all those years ago and wondering what happened to it on subsequent re-watches. Super happy for the devs, cant wait to give it a try!

even though we're missing some weird exclusions, the unexpected INCLUSIONS totally make up for it in my book. ttyd and smrpg remakes, sonic generations, metroid prime remastered, banjo kazooie, pikmin 4, mariokart dlc, etc. ill be perfectly happy with the switch's library as long as the next console is backwards compatible with it. I think nintendo will do the right thing, but making good decisions hasn't always been their strong suit. Though recently, theyve been doing wonderfully buisness wise so i really cant complain in this department

oh come onnnnnn!! why make something so awesome but then limit it to being only in the europe?! Weve been getting stiffed for 10+ years at this point noa, please just let us get the cool stuff everyone else does! It cant be that hard, especially since it isn't like you guys are lacking the manpower or funds to organize this! We are asking you to LET US pay more money for the game just for some gosh dang paper! This would be a win for you guys more than anybody else involved!!

man, it would be really nice if we could just announce games, make them, and drop them as a complete package. Its getting to be a bit much now, its what has put a damper on all the nintendo sports games this console gen and just about everything else outside the nintendo gaming sphere. I wonder when and if things will get better in this respect, as im sure that despite the community outcry releasing games earlier just makes more easy short term money

id rather they didnt make a straight sequel. Its sequels that put 2d mario where it was BEFORE wonder came out!
