@Arkay tbf this update is kinda whatever so i dont blame you for feeling underwhelmed. For me personally, id love a sky island update that adds a bunch of cool stuff to find in the sky or an alternate dimension that does the same thing. The hype for totk for all those years really got me smitten with the concept of sky islands so ill take them where i can get them

god i cant imagine playing mc on anything but keyboard and mouse. ive tried playing on controller and that shiz is miserable

@Mgalens my hopes are high and all signs are pointing towards a really solid showing on switch, so I’m really looking forward to/dreading seeing switch footage

@IronMan30 theres no reason it shouldnt run fine on switch but this is sega were talking about they could screw it up

@Greatluigi wanderlost looks really strange especially since its from the stanley parable devs, and i mean that in the nicest way possible. Though im gonna need to see some more trailers first before i know if its something worth giving a go

@JohnnyMind it would be cool but theres no way metaphor is coming to switch maybe the next console though, atlus does love doing re-releases a few years after every big game of theirs comes out and by then we should have the switch successor

not bad at all! We love to see the sonic x shadow and metaphor news, im quite excited for both of em.

@RareFan i get it, lots of sonic fans just kind of eat the garbage we're given. Im probably one of those people, since im pretty lenient with how i judge sonic because of how much i love the games. But its not fair to judge a fanbase so harshly and frankly rudely when you dont even care about the games. We care. I care! I want the games to be good and i love the character and series because at his best sonic is really excellent! You dont have to like the series or agree with what other people have to say about it, but you DO have to be nice about it. I dont think you're wrong by the way, sega has really been dropping the ball with sonic since what feels like forever, and only extremely recently have things been seeming to perk up the tiniest bit. Just don't be out here calling out fans for being fans, especially when the fans have made so much cool stuff because they care!

hold on this screams paladins to me in the sense that its a ripoff of a super popular multiplayer game, but this cases' being LoL. I love these goofy ripoff games, theyre just so interesting and it helps that the asking price is nothing

jeez i didnt think people were THIS mad about summer games fest like i get it but my lord people we get it Geoff is a goober. its like the people who do nothing but complain about elon, like yeah youre not wrong whatsoever but every other figure in his field also sucks theyre just less obvious about it. Same here, the games industry is full of a-holes. Geoff just happens to be an obvious target

@DanijoEX-the-Pierrot if you havent played gens, i think its worth a go. Or at least wait for some sort of ludicrous sale, if thats what floats your boat. i cant speak towards the shadow content yet, but base gens is such a solid experience that id say every platforming enthusiast should have it on their radar. For reference, i didnt really care for superstars either, though ive come to peace with it. Gens ended up being the game for me that really cemented my love for the sonic franchise, while mania planted the seeds. Probably one of my most played games of all time

i never played the original due to all the mediocre review scores, though ive always wondered if it really was as meh as everyone said. If this can fix the problems people had with the original though, im more than happy to give it a go! Love me some 3d platformers

i dont hate geoff or his events, but id much prefer for nintendo to keep on doin their own thing. Gosh, directs already have so much nothing in them half the time, the last thing i need is MORE of that nothing!

@CactuarDavid honestly, i havent played it yet but i might once im done with ttyd, i love the paper mario vibes and im really dreading getting to the end of the game. i dont want it to be over and origami king sounds like it would hit the spot right now

@batmanbud2 dawg i think it might be possible you just didnt like the gamecube's library that is a LOT of hot debatable takes

i kinda like sticker star! It definentely makes sense why it is where it is, but there's a certain fun to be had with it

so far, a 9. Im not in love with the 3rd chapter's content structure so far, but im more than willing to keep an open mind. The combat is super fun, the characters are really interesting (although i hope they decide to take paper mario in this direction and write them even MORE in-depth, nothing crazy but a little more motivation from time to time would be nice), and i love the ost! Seriously, i dont get people's displeasure with the new ost. Its quite good, especially the rougeport themes.

@Spider-Kev thats what youre led to believe by boring games and then you play persona 5 royal and go "dang maybe i was wrong" and then you play into the breach and then go "dang, i was super wrong" because those games are great, and i can barely stand turn based rpgs!

@UltimateOtaku91 id like more life sim elements but with less campy writing. I played awakening first and barely got through like the 12th map and was like "thats enough of that". But then my fe obsessed friend made me play path of radiance, and it was much more interesting and well-written! Im on chapter 25 right now and closing in on the end, and its pretty great! If they can take that writing style and just offer more sim elements that dont feel out of place or for weirdos, i think we'll have a genuinely good and crowdpleasing mastapeece on our hands.

YES! Finally, I can go to the dang Nintendo store!! I almost never go down there but for Nintendo I’m more than happy to make the trek. And yeah, sf is kind of gross. But ny is too so idk what’s up with this double standard.

@UltimateOtaku91 they’re saying it’s gonna be around ps4 pro levels of power and given the pretty minimal number of ps5 exclusives I’m sure they could get it to run on switch 2 with little to no struggle. Also I completely agree they could have gotten kh 1 and 2 running just fine natively on switch that was just them bein lazy

i cant say im personally interested in this one, but the more 3rd party games running natively on switch 2 the better

honestly, id put animal well on this list. although its newer and straddles the line between numerous genres, this is the list id put it on over something like metroidvanias
