This was a really nice gesture. I played and loved Astro Bot, that and Indiana Jones are my GOTYs. It’s obvious that Astro takes a lot from the Mario 3D platformers and even ideas from other Nintendo games, but I think it was done in a way that makes it its own and they have obviously nothing but respect and admiration to Nintendo.

I love the retro calendars.

I hate the humor of these movies and I’ve heard it’s amped up even MORE from the 2nd film, which made it admittedly a hard watch for me despite some really cool scenes. Probably will wait to stream this one, but I’m glad people are liking it.

Nobody better have anything to say towards this legend releasing such great games for so cheap.

When I had my Deck I barely did any DS emulation. Switch the screen back and forth sucked, idc what anyone has to say.

Obviously a second screen attachement would be cool, but it’s not needed. I’d go with the “Tate” style, Nintendo could release a grip to work with that style through NSO.

I do wish there were more modern titles like mentioned in the review. Tetris Party or Tetris DS (my favorite) would be awesome.

@Deviant-Dork Have you seen what Disney has put out lately compared to this?! This is easily the most immersive highly detailed land in ages by a theme park company. The rides are also great.

@Jayenkai You don’t realize how expensive it would be for them to release this on Netflix for streaming. It’s 5 gigabytes, it’s not going to break the bank when it comes to storage. Also, if they were to just release this on YouTube for nothing, that’s a big selling point of the game gone. Just like the Atari collection, this is a museum piece with way more than just the games, and for people who actually care, it’s great.

@Edu23XWiiU Because people love the idea of a handheld that can play it all, especially with how large the Switch library is. This also opens up the opportunity of increasing the performance through updates of those past games.

@VHSGREMLIN Id easily take an updating pretty substantial library of titles for $20-$60 dollars a year then pay $7-$10 each for titles that for the most part don’t take much time to beat. Especially for ROMs with no QOL improvements. Not to mention that the emulation quality far exceeds what we saw on the Wii U/3DS.

@SabreLevant It’s not “false”. For one, not everyone has an Android with work arounds, and two, if you want to use it standalone without any “add-ons” or wonky work arounds that work on a case by case specific basis, then you have to buy Premium.

@LadyCharlie Unless you own YouTube Premium, then you can’t have it playing music while your phone is in sleep mode or while using other apps. That doesn’t sound like a huge deal, but it actually is.

It looks as basic as basic can be. Like a flash game you’d find on CoolMathGames and play in class.

@InJeffable That’s what I ended up getting after trying and hating the Nitro Deck. Now THOSE are some killer Joycons.

This company has always been really fishy to me. Their weird push of the NFT like collection database in their app for these mostly ugly designs is so odd.

Not to mention their customer service is god awful. I bought a Deck, played 2 hours with it, and decided it wasn’t for me. With everything including box and paper work still pristine, they told me I couldn’t return it because it was scanned in the app already (?). What does that even mean, I have to assume that was an employee mistake.

My personal favorite has always been the Mario and Luigi style, particularly Dream Team. Brothership looks beautiful in game but I think the renders seem a little off.

Illumination Mario doesn’t get enough love. I love how they retained the look of Mario but gave him more of a grounded softer look.

This could potentially be very intresting. I enjoyed the original one enough, personally about a 7/10 in my eyes. It def lacked a bit of the charm Banjo had and the movement felt off, but it looks like some problems were addressed here. I really think Playtonic showed their strength with Impossible Lair. That was a great title to fill the DK fix.

If I see this on sale for like 10 bucks one day, hey why not. Looks like a quality title.

Usually I couldn’t care less, but it was really jarring how Amy just doesn’t act like Amy at all. I do also miss more of the comedic slapstick too but nothing for me to go out and complain.

Yeah, I think that's actually a pretty decent trade off for 1080p. Would have loved a performance mode option with 720p in handheld running at 60fps tho.

The only thing I think this era of the Turtles has going for me is the art style (at times) can look pretty stunning, and the voice actors. Other than that I hate everything about it.

Love how people are mad and let down by something that obviously was going to be what it says it is (shocker I know), a play test. This is a proof of concept for an actual audience so they can build it out more and nothing more than that.

I don't understand how you could hate this controller apart from the D-Pad. It is just fun to play games with this thing.

What Ninty SHOULD do is get Wayforward to do a remake of it with 2D, hand drawn visuals. Wayforward kills it at hand drawn art, and they have a great relationship with Nintendo. Also they have experience from making that Adventure Time Zelda 2 clone from the DS/3DS, which was suprisingly great.

@PineappleLake I don't know what 3DS game you have been playing but none have compared to this. Hell even look at what the 3DS titles of this series look like, they still use sprites.

The models, animations and vibrancy of colors here are amazing. You also have to take into account that Youtube really doesn't do these titles justice.

That motion sensing tech is pretty damn cool. It seems like a very high quality product that I might get eventually. Something that might be true though is that one person said they hate the noise associated with their alarms, so I don’t want to hate the music associated with these!

Also, I noticed that it says that if you sleep in bed with more than one person, then they recommend button mode. That kills the main feature of it for me lol. Regardless would like to put this on the home office desk or something.

It is baffling me how much people are freaking out over the simplest of design lol.

YES! I own like 6 different versions of Tetris on the Switch, but idc. I love the Grand Master titles purely off of speed and sfx alone.

@Anti-Matter Because gameplay triumphs visuals, and this game doesn’t have either, so you have a bad experience.

I’m confused by these comments. What did you people want/expect? The Switch has obviously been a huge success for Nintendo and people obviously love the platform, why not improve on that and make it not only greatly more powerful, but also improve on the actual hardware like what is being described.

All I wanted was more power and backwards compatibility, so I’m very excited. That screen looks like it will be really nice, too. I do wish the joycons got a little more of a redesign though in terms of ergonomics.

@Poodlestargenerica In no way was I snarky in my comment… but anyways, Mario Party Superstars gives you the option for how many turns, what board you want, what genre of mini games you want, and also other options like handicaps and bonus stars.
