@PikminMarioKirby Can I ask why you prefer the Rare design so much more? I just find the new one so much more appealing and expressive, even though I grew up with the Rare design. I just feel like it feels more Nintendo and fits within the Mario world and design language more.

I don’t understand these comments. Everyone cried about the lack of power with the Switch 1, here comes the Switch 2 with a huge leap in power (this is not 3DS to New 3DS people) and everyone’s complaining about it.

What is with everyone saying the Mario movie sucked? Yeah it was safe but I would also be safe as can be after the last time they tried to adapt it. Still a quality fun time and a feast for the eyes and ears.

This would be a genius way to continue sales of the Switch 1. Once again shows Nintendo ideas that didn’t work in the past are never dead.

With Nintendo being involved, the worst it can be is safe.

The obvious pick is Pokemon, but Game Freak just doesn’t know how to develop games that look good any more, so fps isn’t the only issue there, the games lately are just ugly.

For me I’m going BOTW/TOTK as the needs. Those are both incredible games with its only thing holding those titles back being performance, give them the platform and power they deserve.

For my want, Mario Make 2 was a stellar pick. Just the same reasons, I want mouse support, that’s it.

Call me crazy but a while back John Cena randomly posted an 8bit Link sprite on instagram with no context shortly after they announced the film. Maybe he could be Ganon lol. Hes suprisingly a pretty good actor and he’s got the build for it so.

But speculation aside I have high hopes for this. The director is a big fan and nerd for the series and has been for a while evident by his Twitter posts over a decade ago, and his Planet of the Apes film was really solid. I think we are in a good place, honestly better than what we thought with Mario and that ended up being a good, yet safe time.

That’s actually a shame. The multiversus team was a talented group despite the awful microtransactions and currency. Would have loved to see how this turned out.

The dream would be a Nintendo store in each major city, how cool would that be. Or even in malls. Thinking like how Lego does it.

I’d love to see it. Would lend super well to an animated film, or hell would be cool to work with Jim Henson again and do puppets!

So basically every other handheld on the now over saturated pc handheld market.

I love proximity chat, it’s led to some really funny moments in my experiences. Imagine zooming by some random dude screaming after hit by a blue shell at the finish line.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes gave me a lot more hope this could turn out solid. I’m cautiously optimistic.

Legit two of the best GB titles. DK94 might be my favorite next to Mario Land 2.

@Tasuki It’s honestly as faithful as you can get, maybe to some even a little too faithful. I loved it though, there are some nice QOL changes

I’m not an RPG guy, but I love the how this game looks visually and have heard very good things. Still debating if I should pick it up and try it sometime.

@LadyCharlie Exactly my thoughts, let Pokémon actually let their mainlines cook. I haven’t bought a Pokemon mainline in years because of how rough they look.

Trust me, Capcom is gonna find a way to get this thing running on the Switch 2.

One of the best Mario soundtracks imo. Definitely the best out of the 3 on NES.

@TheBigK I’m in the same boat. The only thing I’ve played on it were the Spiderman titles (now on PC) and Astro Bot.

I understand sentimental value but if the 2 is backwards compatible digitally and physically and improves on the Switch on every front, why hold onto it. Thats my thoughts at least.

Overall I’ve been having fun but I agree with these first impressions. It’s WAY too chaotic and is definitely over stimulating. The visuals are nice but I feel like the design team went way overboard to the point where it’s distracting, and that’s not good in a racer. Someone said this like it was a positive, but the fact that you can drop from first to last in the snap of your fingers is not a good thing. Yeah Mario Kart that happens but unless it’s right at the finish line, you aren’t out of the race at all.

@sportvater Ok bit of an extreme there. They aren’t cheap but calling them one of the worst companies out there is ridiculous.

For all you non Lego fans, no this isn’t more affordable. I have a huge collection and still buy sets to this day, but this is over priced going by the “price per piece” standard their USED to be.
