We need more eshop titles like this. This looks like a blast, and might get me to purchase those NSO NES controllers if I get sucked into this, which I think I will. That deluxe edition is gonna be scalped so hard. Also multiplayer is an awesome feature that everyone seems to be overlooking.
Also I love how competitive the UI feels, even showing the inputs and the timer every where like a streamer speed running.
EDIT: After reading some comments I don't think people realize how bad the emulation quality was in NES Remix. Also how really 85% of challenges like "stomp on 3 goombas" or "grab the sword" instead of the remixes, which those in itself only had a small handful that were actually cool and not just crummy photoshop filters slapped on a bad rom of the game. This looks much more fleshed out.
What does this even mean. Im just wondering why people continue to dump money into these grips for controllers that majority of owners have issue with and are proven faulty controllers.
Don't understand why people just keep getting these grips for faulty controllers. If you want an honest to god AMAZING joy con replacement, the Mobapad HD 60S is the way to go. Easily the best feeling replacements out there and are made with higher quality materials then the joy cons themselves.
@Clammy I have 100 percented it and can confidently say it was absolutely worth the full price I paid for it. Loved that game to bits from start to end and I wish I could experience it for the first time again. I would honest to god rate it as good as those games.
Also your reasoning is based purely off speculation when I can bet that Wonder cost a lot more to produce then you think it does.
If it aint broke don't fix it I guess. I have always loved this render of Luigi and it still looks good to this day. Sadly cant say the same about the game itself, easily the worst out of the 3 in my opinion and I don't have much interest replaying it. Yes im still salty about the first one not getting the remake on Switch but instead 3DS.
I really enjoy all of the Mario Sports switch titles except for Golf. Golf was such a disappointment for me this generation. Battle League is genuinely the best Strikers game gameplay wise, but the asking price with the amount of content is rough. Aces however is awesome, the new gameplay changes are great, good character selection, and really nice visuals.
@somnambulance Story wise that’s a given because they have so much more to work with, but they made so many changes to the story and characters that ruined a lot of it for me. The “villains” especially. Both movies are two very different cases writing wise. Personally I’d rather have a a story flawed by pacing rather than inaccurate portrayals of established characters.
Don’t understand why everyone is suddenly so sour at this film. It was a great simple little time at the theaters that did its thing and established an accurate film version of the Mushroom Kingdom. Not a perfect movie but it’s still enjoyable.
If anyone is in the market for truly awesome Joycon replacements that don’t skimp on any features, get the Mobapad HD S6 or whatever there called. Super premium, have HD rumble, Gyro and Amiibo support. They are pricey but so worth it.
This was already confirmed but I cannot wait. Been following this project for a while and this one is actually a bit bigger than the Japan one, and more than double the size of the tiny LA one. The shop outside of the land however hasn't been confirmed, and that itself looks beautiful and is rumored to be an overall Nintendo store, similar to Nintendo NY or Osaka. Seems to be themed to the main hub area of the park rather than SNW which makes sense.
I love the original so much, I cannot wait. I have always wanted a return to this gameplay so this is an awesome start, and the new additions are great as well.
@link3710 This is essentially the sequel to 94’. As a huge fan of that game, I can say that that game holds up to that quality. The only minis really only act as collectibles or “mini keys” to doors in some levels.
@Deemo37 GBA I understand we are still missing some key titles, but what is N64 missing? I feel like we have all the actually enjoyable games besides Smash on there.
I don't care what people say about this service, I would much rather pay the yearly cost to play a decent size of classics and games I wouldn't have paid for anyway, than to spend 5-8 bucks each on them. Plus with the DLC and some NSO exclusive games and features, I think the service is worth it imo. I would have never tried this game out or a lot of other ones if it weren't for this.
@Don We legit got 3 last month, just got a handful of GB games including Tilt and Tumble, and now we are getting Fire Emblem. I think that's pretty decent.
If you want the real deal game experience, then yeah buy an Arcade 1-UP counter cab. But the people buying this know that this isn't what it is. Like with any Lego set, it's a lengthy experience building these larger sets, and the end result is a nice display that you built yourself over a long period of time. I think its so dumb when people compare the prices of these products to the real thing, you aren't paying for the real thing, you are paying for a premium product/experience that gives you a nice display model.
They are wrong and anyone who thinks they are right are wrong. You can optimize the hell out of these titles and they still look decent, even the newer ones, and they run solid. If they can get COD Mobile looking and running well, they can easily do it with the main line games. Maybe no open world campaigns and just strictly multiplayer/zombies (which is what the true big draws are). I see the Switch getting the rumored remasters of past entries (which I will remind you, those games launched on the Xbox 360/PS3), and then future entries getting multiplayer only releases for a lower price. The only concern would be storage, but Microsoft has truly talented developers and teams under their books for optimization. Look at how well they handled Ori (I get that's a platformer, but still that's a beautiful game that runs beautifully as well).
@Keyblade-Dan The whole reason everyone is so surprised with the quality of this film so far is that it is such a far deviation from Illuminations past works. From what we have seen, they act nothing like their past characters or even have that same feel.
These comments ain't it so here's an essay for yall:
The people in these comments are so blindly filled with hatred for a film that isn't even out yet. What the director is saying is absolutely correct, these characters are not known for MAINLINE story at all (be real, the common audience doesn't know Paper Mario's story). The Mario series characters are very blank canvas, and yes you can argue that's what makes them relatable/enjoyable, blank canvas characters don't work for a 90 minute film.
While yes it is always nice to see lesser known voices get the spotlight, we have to be realistic. You can see it with the new TMNT movie, people aren't saying anything about the main turtles VA, who are lesser known actors, but instead are BLOWING UP about the rest of the cast, and the same people excited over that are the same people ***** on this film for celebrity casting. Celebrity casting gets people excited and adds to the films hype, simple as that. They are known actors for a reason, they get these roles because audiences enjoy them and their work. They wouldn't get hired otherwise. For this origin story of Mario, a blue collar worker from real world Brooklyn, Pratt and Day fit the role. As much as I love Martinet, there is a limit with that voice with how natural and emotionally backed you can get with it, and it would be tough for most audiences to listen to for extended periods of time. Not saying at all he isn't a valid VA, because he absolutely is, it's just a character issue. Also thinking its a jab at Martinet in anyway, cmon, get over yourselves.
@d-slice Yeah, they are meant purely as a little cool extra to do while sitting in parked or charging your Tesla while on the run. The screen they use is pretty damn nice so the games look pretty good lol.

@Clammy Your saying that as if Mario Wonder isn't deserving of a high score?
Re: Review: LEGO Animal Crossing - Kapp’n’s Island Boat Tour - Is It Any Good?
Why is being an “add-on” set a negative? Isn’t that the whole point of this modular system.

People still really complaining about Pratt? Grow up, I know I wouldn’t want to listen to two hours of standard Mario in normal convo/dramatic scenes.
