If you enjoy a round or fifty of Tetris 99 and just so happen to be a fan of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, you'll definitely want to add this special event to your diary.
Nintendo of Europe has revealed that a new crossover event will be held in Tetris 99 which will give you a chance at winning an exclusive theme. It'll run from 8am UK time (9am CEST) on 23rd August until the same time a few days later, on the 27th.
Each round of this event lets you earn points, with more being awarded the higher you place. If you manage to reach 100 points, you'll receive the event-exclusive Fire Emblem: Three Houses theme. If you took part in the recent Splatoon crossover event, you'll probably be pretty comfortable with proceedings this time around.
At the time of writing the event has only been confirmed for Europe, but these things are usually worldwide affairs so we'd expect a similar announcement from the likes of Nintendo of America shortly.

@the_beaver I got to first place... once. LOL. I've gotten to second and third loads of times, but getting the actual crown is particularly difficult for me.

Everyone on the fence about buying 3H, I really can’t recommend this game enough. It’s a great introductory point to the series and an absolutely phenomenal game as a whole. I personally almost exclusively in handheld mode—it’s so easy and relaxing to pull out my Switch during my lunch break or while I’m waiting for an appointment and explore the monastery or set lesson plans or mash a group of bandits to a pulp. It’s the first game since Xenoblade Chronicles 2 I’ve sunk over a hundred hours into, and it took quite a bit longer to do that with XC2.

Hmm... Is it a theme that you use inside.... Tetris 99? Or? I'm confused.
@Blizzia Yep. It changes the games visuals, background, and music. There's a Gameboy skin which makes it look and sound like the Gameboy game, and the Splatoon theme has the music and sound effects of Splatoon.

@Heavyarms55 They'll have to use 3 songs. One for the 100-51 places, then a song for the 50-11 places, and then one final all out song for the top 10.
Cool. I can get to the Top 10 regularly on Tetris ‘99 but I’ve only managed to win once... I actually cheered it felt so good!

They should make it more challenging to get it. The. Last time I had to play one game to win the Splatoon theme. Make it 1000 points or something
do you have to pay for the grand prix though? i remember reading something about tetris has a mode you have to pay extra for if you want it. I think its was only 10 pound but it still be a deal breaker for me considering i can play it free, I could be wrong though.
