@Paperboy I think it will be prerecorded. They mean it will be streamed at the preset time, rather than just dropped onto youtube.

Nintendo never announces release dates in the financial report, so there's never any news on that front.

@SalvorHardin They are selling so fast there's no need to produce more games. And the eshop is already overflowing with smaller games.

I generally love Platinum's games, but their announcements have all been disappointing lately.

This was always going to happen eventually. People were creating a bubble. The last ones in were always going to lose out if they bought an over-valued stock at its peak.

EDIT: Which is to say, the markets need to prevent this type of behaviour from all sides.

Assuming £280 for the console thats £60 for the digital version of the game! The physical version is only £50 and that's a steelbook edition!

Main thing I'd like is a larger screen, even if still 720p. Thinner bezel with the same console size would improve handheld play enormously.

I now won't buy anything unless I'm sure I'll immediately play it for a reasonable amount of time. I used to get tempted by games on sale, but I figure if I wasn't willing to buy it at full price then I won't actually get more enjoyment out of it when it's cheaper.

At the same time, if I'm not enjoying a game I won't berate myself for not completing it before moving on.

As a freebie it's quite nice, but £6.25 shipping for a few sheets of paper is just ridiculous.

I find it hard to feel sorry for someone who's been able to invest half a million dollars in collectibles and not even care to keep tabs on them.

I've lost count of the number of free qubic games I have sitting unplayed on my switch, but I'll take 3 more anyway.

Maybe I'm just more used to the European one but I much prefer it's beautiful blue/green colour scheme.

Seems really weird to make a Super Mario Game & Watch and then put Ball on it, instead of, maybe, the Super Mario G&W game. The lack of a stand is a massive oversight, especially as they even included a clock - as far as I know every Game & Watch had a stand.

6 year old Mario Kart 8 outselling Home Circuit

Weird that people are complaining about performance. I played for an hour and noticed nothing problematic. Maybe handheld is the issue?

@cheesedude There are still occasional frame drops, and very occasionally that causes you to crash, but overall it's a very minor point in a fantastic game.

@Scrubicius There are online leaderboards but there's no multiplayer of any sort.

Nintendo literally released their own stats saying about 50% use it in both modes and another 20% use it primarily docked.

I'll be downloading the Lonely Mountains DLC, but I guess that's not worthy of the poll

@Oppyz666 @rjejr You can't stream video over a basic RC car radio, I don't think you can over bluetooth either, so it needs wifi.

Looks like a decent tech demo. I just can't see the value in a Mario Kart game with no tracks. (And I don't count infinite variations in driving around the same flat rooms)

@The-Chosen-one It has no battery/wireless so you can't use it in docked or tabletop modes.

While the PC and Switch audiences are a little different I suspect much of the difference is simply due to press coverage. Just comparing Short Hike on Metacritic:

10 reviews (several are months after release)
80 average
77th best game of the year (2019)

Switch version:
13 reviews (within a month of release)
88 average
5th best game of the year

That's a huge difference in coverage.

If it's already working why are they delaying the Switch version by a week? (In fact why delay by a week at all? Surely that's basically no time at all in game development.)

I agree, everyone calls it "Donkey Kong Country 2". "Diddy's Kong Quest" is only a subtitle.

I mean, nobody says "6 Golden Coins", they say "Super Mario Land 2".

Most high street shops will give refunds just because you've changed your mind. They don't legally have to, but they know it's good business to keep customers happy. Nintendo maybe need to think about whether they might actually be harming sales by having such a strict no-refund policy.

Isn't it technically a single-player game that supports local network multiplayer with up to 4 consoles?

The Japanese cover is a clever gimmick but since we're choosing based on the art I'll go with the western one.

If you're happy to pay full price just use the official store. Or if not I got mine for 42.85 from shopto. There are many better shops than Amazon these days.

"Gods & Monsters" simply wasn't an original name. It's been used by several books and a film. I imagine that was much more of an issue than Monster Energy.
