Cute, but too far from me to care more. I played a lot escape the room games on computer, i'm wondering how good a real-life versican can really be, since I imagine there must be a lot of red tape to go through.
@LegendOfPokemon your past comments suggest you feel differently about this. Aren't you glad Wii U production ended? Why would you care what Wii U games come out now? Why would you want devs to waste money? Your comment in particular stuck out to me.
@Zach777 games like this needs reviews, otherwise people may make uninformed decisions. What if it was an overlooked classic? I would have missed out on a few games , or bought a few duds, if it weren't for the reviews here.
Welp, i'll have to deal with it. I can't afford to leave here, and I survived Dubya, so I think i'll be okay. I didn't vote for either Trump or Hillary, but since this is a two-party system essentially, blah.
Stocks are volatile, things will even out, you all know this. Unless trade bans come into effect, I don't see anything wrong just yet.
@gcunit good point. It's hard to say that any company from the '80s to now is the same as before, it stands to reason there shouldn't be an expectation of quality either. Nintendo included.
I don't play my Wii U much now, but I wouldn't buy remasters of those games if I still can play them right now on my Wii U. I want new games instead, and we'll probably only see that in January or the Switch's launch.
@Zach according to the kickstarter, it will have some interviews with devs, namely the guy in charge of GoldenEye, and the guy in charge of Superman 64. It also promised a comprehensive history of how the N64 came to be. A few screenshots in the book from the kickstarter page looks like they came from press materials, videos, etc. already floating around, but now in a published form. If anything, the Superman 64 interview should be new, I haven't found anything online regarding it.
@cmk8 I guess all the shovelware did them in. I think they have freelance writers do the less popular ones now, and it takes longer to do them when they don't get advance copies, or no one wants to play them to review them.
I'll admit, those reviews brought me here too (as a lurker), got me to buy quite a few DSiware and WiiWare games several years ago.
Not interested in those, but i'm glad Switch is getting more support! Hopefully the Switch actually gets a good launch compared to 3DS and especially Wii U. We need more news like this!
I like the idea, but i'm going to need to see more games. So far, this just looks like Nintendo-branded remote play. My internet is spotty at times, so I hope it won't be too internet-dependent.
@Tsurii what the heck? Why single me out if others here are saying the same things as me, or complaining much more about the demo? Get that crap out of here.
I liked the demo, but I felt it could be more as well. As an introduction to Pokemon, it certainly was better than the ORAS demo, but it still didn't explain the Pokemon catching aspect of the game (which is the most important), didn't explain type match-ups (but at least added a new mechanic to show if it a move was effective or not) and a too simple trial. At least it did show off the new trial system, Z-moves, an an intro to the more important characters in the beginning, I think. I felt the demo could at least have a bit more padding by not giving you such a strong Pokemon right away, maybe have you level it up some, or give more incentive to playing smarter in battle. Your Greninja has double team, and you have potions. You have access to a Pokecenter as well.
I really enjoyed streetpass when I could, but it was mostly because of those relays, and less, actual "streetpassing." May as well make it an internet thing altogether. I'm glad SMTIV Apocalypse has an internet feature for its streetpass content. I'm actually able to use it without having to travel to stores.
Awesome. This one was even better than the BS Zelda 1 remake IMO, and had better events. Defintely felt like a proto-Majora's Mask. In fact, it was this game that got me to appreciate Majora's Mask's frantic pace over the slower Ocarina of Time's. A different mindset is needed, but it was a breath of fresh air.
I hope other the other soundlink games get this treatment. I bet the Mario 2 one wiuld be a hoot in English with some of the stuff that happens.
I just noticed that on the NA site, Ultimate NES Remix has a 30% off coupon, but with 900 plat coins instead of gold. That counts for something. May consider.
Other than that, it's just the two Mario and DK themes they offered in the beginning. Blargh.
It's weird, because it would be a great fit. You don't need buttons to play it necessairily, and it would be just as simple to trade and battle with peoe at any time, moreso than being stuck with a handheld.
It looks like a really good flash game, reminds me of Alien Hominid. Too soft for a Neo Geo or Genesis game, but I definitely see the connections.
On the eShop, they have a segment where this dev picks out their favorite games. Unsurprisingly, Wild Guns was one of them. On 3DS, they highlight all the Picross e series.
@amishpyrate yeah, and besides, i'm not in a hurry to replay it again soon, though I do sometimes pull it out when I have friends over. I do feel safer if I have a digital copy of it.
@DarkKirby I can see that. Coupled with a similar comparison with UB-01 and Lillie, and Ash-Greninja being a thing, maybe these are the "fused" pokemon things, and why they're not just regular 'ol pokemon.
Cool, I loved Wario Ware Smooth Moves. Would it be better to sell my disc copy of the game and get the Wii download, or just keep the disc. Space is not an issue, got a 2TB hard drive with barely 10% of it used so far.
And i'm kind of interested in Noitu Love Devolution and Gear Gauntlet.
If anyone was wondering, I did like Master Reboot a lot, and the sequel looks even better. By no means am I bashing it. I just can't physically play it or MR without getting a little nauseous. Minecraft sometimes does this to me too.
Beta64's video is basically the spoken version of The Cutting Room Floor's page for the game and the SNES Test Cartridge. At least I liked their video more than DYKG's video.
Not Nintendo, but seeing some of those titles made me remember how weird and experimental they were. I played MDK, Messiah, and Sacrifice back then. not necessarily great or even good, but pretty memorable.
@msvt I just checked the Wii U's eShop, and there is no official Tetris game. Heptrix is the only option for a Tetris-esque game.
Just trying to find something other than Tetris was an exercise in frustration. You either already need to know what you're looking for, or it needs to be relatively recent or by Nintendo. The "search all" button doesn't exist anymore. I may have better luck using the web store to look easier, but it just exemplifies why the eShop needs better searching filters other than the ones that seemingly changes every week.
Eh, wasn't into Metroid, and I finished this game a long time ago, can't see myself getting this version. Glad to see it finally arrived on a Nintendo platform though.
"Should the campaign not succeed, it'll be difficult to see how the game can be completed. Certainly it will mean long delays and maybe even dropping some platforms, notably Wii U™. That would be a real shame, given the history and origins of the game."
There you go. Game doesn't hit target=no Wii U version. Needless to say, i'm in.
I know my sisters will love this. They liked the idea of the Wii U game, but since they're not fans of the Wii U itself, they hardly play it. Now it'll be easier to share it with them, just bring my 3DS.

Re: Tomonobu Itagaki on Why Devil's Third Underperformed
@HappyMaskedGuy it's funny, because the main campaign mode feels like a MGS parody.
Re: Darksiders: Warmastered Edition Now Coming to Wii U "At a Later Stage", Delaying eShop Release
I'm more surprised this was announced as a Wii U game, than seeing it get delayed. May as well put it on Switch instead.

Target should also price match Toys 'R Us's price if you ask at the store, though that requires to be done once it comes out.

@Lizuka you get it. People can't seem to take mobile games for some reason, like it kills their existence or something. 😁
Re: Feature: The Most Intriguing Features in Pokémon Sun and Moon
I'm glad the game has a tough final boss again. I thought Ghestsis was great, but this game has it beat in difficulty.

Looks great. World to the West and Gurumin are on my radar.
I'm still waiting for two of last year's Nindies@Night games, Kerbal Space Program and Action Henk. I guess they got quietly cancelled.
