Nintendo finally lifted the lid on it's new concept today and revealed Nintendo NX as Nintendo Switch. Along with the initial reveal video released on YouTube we also have a host of images for you to oogle over. The images confirm the games will be on SD-like cards along, while detachable controllers will be called "Joy-Con"; there's also a Switch Pro Controller.
Enjoy!

People underestimate that the actual console itself needs to look sleek, modern & sexy.
Annndddd..... that's exactly what Nintendo Switch looks like.
Home run Nintendo... home run.
I'm wondering if motion controls still play a part in the controller design... either way I'm sold. I'm excited for a potential super system. Here is hoping for a solid VC and perhaps some form of BC (I can't tell if that card slot will take 3ds games) as well as the screen being touch compatible. I will miss dual screens, but this one looks wide enough to accommodate a split screen setup (and it does based upon the mario kart trailer so here is hoping for inventory side screens).
As a gamer with too many systems hooked up (16) I am loving the sleek, compact size of the system and the tv dock. I am so happy the pro controller has asymmetrical analog sticks. I am so ready for this controller now. That was my only gripe with the wiiu pro controller.
Now I just want to know the storage potential as well as heat output. I don't want home console graphics if I have to play my handheld with an oven mitt on... also no region lock (I can dream)
Anybody else think Iwata-dono put on a pair of shades and is nodding like he did in the smash bros trailer from wherever he is?
Loving the matte finish, looks so professional. Image is key, I think they hit the nail on the head.
these are exciting times to be a nintendo fan! now we just need full specs and price!
Very sleek. Also, you can see the cooling vent in the picture with the game cart.
The controller without the screen looks a bit blocky, but besides that excellent stuff!
Can't wait!!
Idontknow.... conflicted... dissattaached. Is it the next big thing
Looks awesome (and expensive). Console+Pro Controller+Grip, phew . . .but definitely excited!. Carts, welcome back.
"Joy-con" sounds like a sex toy.
NX early concept model
Pre-order, I'm ready! Anytime, any price, anywhere.
I love the design, but I'm not quite sure about the "Switch" name. Nintendo must be planning on taking Sony and Microsoft out back behind the wood shed and beating them with it.
I'm wholly on board. It looks like we've ditched the more gimmicky aspects of Nintendo's lineup the past 10 years with no touch-screen and no motion controls. It's back to basic, simple gaming, while still having the cool "Gimmick" of being both portable and a home console.
SOLD!
Don't really dig the Joy-Con Grip, though the Pro Controller looks great!
Thank God that the headphone jack is on top. Now, I can lay down in bed and play this without a headphone cord jabbing into me.
All hail the power of the cartridge!
The dpad looks like an absolute disaster.
Otherwise, I'm happy with it.
Now! Will any of our Wii U controllers work or do we have to buy all new ones?
the pro controller looks like sega genesis
I'm just thankful this wasn't the rumored "digital only" console from a while back.... phew!
Admittedly one of the cooler aspects is the return of cartridges
@abbyhitter VALID POINT
I'll never understand why companies put it on the bottom of a device for that very reason.
The system itself looks great. The dock and Joy-con grip look a bit wonky, but I'm sure I can get used to them. As long as they announce some nice new games for the system and don't overprice it, I'd say I'll most likely get it. So I guess that PS4 I was planning on getting this holiday season will just have to wait!
I think the lack of a conventional D-Pad on the Joy-Con (what a name) is to make it comfortable when using the left part as a mini-controller...
Looks really really nice and the thought of being able to console game whilst on a plane or train sounds great (need to check the battery life though).
Definitely buying at least 2 pro controllers though as I'd prefer to use that at home.
Also hope there is a standard charger for when travelling rather than lug the dock around.
It's hard to tell if it's necessary to get multiple consoles for a family.
@unovachamp90 I was thinking it looks like when Xbox One controller fuses with Playstation 4 controller.
I would like to know how big that screen is too.
Not really a fan of the part that stays at home with the tv but I suppose it's designed to make it as easy as possible to get the handheld portion out of there. But other than that, I love the concept, the updates Splatoon and MK8 are getting and the release window.
What about storage on this??? Will the docking station accommodate external hard drives?
That plastic looks sooo good, I don't know why, the non-pro controller specially
Will it have VC? Will Wii U VC titles transferrable? Will 3DS VC titles transferrable? Will Switch games have save states? Will Gamecube games be on Switch VC?
It looks fairly sleek, but a bit soul-less. I want some colour in there, so hopefully they'll be some variants with red,blue, yellow and green buttons etc.
The set up is alright. I don't like the assymetry of the joy con L and R though. Also really hate those + and - buttons, really, what was wrong with circles?
One complaint I have is the asymmetrical layout of the analog sticks. I prefer the the wiiu/old pro controller far more.
Is it gyro-enabled? I prefer motion control and the two-screens, like the original splatoon. If not, it could be a deal breaker. I'm hoping, the wiiu will be getting switch ports post release. The games look very similar to wiiu and they wouldn't have to worry about cannabalizing sales because of the wiius very low install base.
@Don I think you're on the wrong page. This is about how it looks.
@JHDK And a release date. And a launch lineup.
Looks amazing to me, and I'm super excited that my two favorite Wii U games (Splatoon and MK8) are getting updates. Yay King Boo!!!
Does it come with the pretty lady's living room? It looks nice in there.
I wonder if Nintendo has lifted the gag order on NX/NS??
I hope Nintendo makes separate portable units so that people in the same family can play stuff on their own handhelds and share one TV dock.
Looks great. It really does.
And... the rumors were mostly all true. All these people "rargh rargh rargh it won't have Tegra, it won't have detachable controllers, it won't have this, it won't have that, stop listening to rumors..."
You see why people pay attention to leaks and rumors now?
The joy-con controllers I'm not keen on, but the pro will do and the joy-cons attached to the tablet interface also looks okay, except for the lack of d-pad, though I'd like to play it before completely making up my mind on that issue.
The power of a home console in my hands is welcome, but I still need details on performance and price before I can fully say that this may rival Sony and Microsoft, if that is even what they set as the goal.
Will it be cheap enough to have as a second console for Nintendo-only games for players of other consoles?
Does it not need to be cheap because the tech is there to provide a comparable performance? I kind of doubt that second question because Nintendo has a track record of using less power.
What games that were missing on the Wii U can we expect as ports to the Switch? Probably more than Skyrim, but what exactly?
@unovachamp90 I don't know, the Pro Controller looks kinda like a cheap plasticy prototype to me and Sega Genesis controllers were pretty much bomb proof. Like, if there was ever a global thermonuclear war that wiped out all of civilization then the only things that would be left are cockroaches, Twinkies, and Sega Genesis controllers. The Switch Pro Controller doesn't look quite that durable.
How will local play at home work? Will we need to buy more of the detachable joy-con?
Man I can't wait for this : )
@Ryu_Niiyama I also hope for good VC, as excited as I am for new releases. That Turbo GrafX PC engine titles are available on eshop is a good sign. I'd like to see more non Nintendo platforms available like on the original Wii service. There a probably still some titles that haven't been released yet.
The design is great, sleek and looks ellegant. I think that is what they need, sleek console that people want to take around. The name though... why? First Switch, which is odd for a console name. Then Joy-Con??? ROFL. Anyway, I'm SOLD.
So mant different things to keep charged. I hope the battery life is good.
So where is the VR helmet for the switch screen.
The Nintendo Switch is going to sell like crazy.... I'm on it.
It reminds me of the Atari Lynx!
So in terms of specs this is three Wiis taped together?
I'm joking. Looks fantastic. Breath of the Wild on the john
The Joy-cons are the best bit. In an industry trying to push consumers towards the individualism of the VR experience Nintendo are reminding people how much fun it is/was just playing games with your mates.
Online gaming is great but it's still no substitute for having your mates actually there with you.
@Blastcorp64 When thinking about it, it's the only way that makes sense, though. The two Joy-Cons can be detached, held sideways and used by two people, and because the control stick has to be on the left, and four face buttons have to be on the right, one Joy-Con has to be different. And because that is asymmetrical, they had to make the Pro Controller the same way to match.
The cartridge of Switch looks smaller than 3DS cartridge and Black color like NDS.
Wanna see more color variation of Switch. Make it colorful as New 3DS , Nintendo !
It looks amazing.
The design looks great but I hate the name; still going to call it NX. While its so cool that there are so many ways you can play, Nintendo has a lot of other things to get right if I am going to buy this thing.
Now I wonder what the chance of them having different colors is? I would love for them to have a range of choice on Day One.
I hope theres still some sort of streaming to tv from the tablet. I want to be able to play on a tv if I go somewhere. Also I like playing with the gamepad. I like the size.
Those Joy-cons sure look tiny when detached from the screen thing. Also, it looks like those basketball guys are gonna break them in two.
@Yoshi "When thinking about it, it's the only way that makes sense, though. The two Joy-Cons can be detached, held sideways and used by two people, and because the control stick has to be on the left, and four face buttons have to be on the right, one Joy-Con has to be different. And because that is asymmetrical, they had to make the Pro Controller the same way to match."
No it doesn't. You can achieve the same with symmetry, just one of the two joy-con would be upside down, but you'd have room for the stick and the triggers at the same place for both potential players.
My hype level is higher now than it ever has been. All my fears are gone. The Switch is EXACTLY what I wanted. Seriously impressed and super excited for this system.
I love the look of this and I find it hard with my unsociable working hours to sit and play a home console this definately looks like the best of both world and will definately be buying it on the first day of sales. Well done nintendo you know what your customers want.
@Rocossa AVGN!
The more I look at it, the more awesome I find it. I love the color as it reminds me of the very first Nintendo DS. I'm gonna pre-order one first chance I get.
Based on what little we can see of them, I'm also worried that the triggers are going to be digital again.
As a Wii U successor it's quite nice, but I'm in no hurry to ditch my 3DS. I want my dual screens and 3D display. Also, as others have been saying, this thing better have some battery life... and the dock had better not be required for charging.
Of course, it doesn't seem like Nintendo want to end 3DS support any time soon. So I'm left wondering what their strategy is going to be in that area.
I hope the mini NES controllers will somehow work on this system for VC purposes.
@LegendOfPokemon
Call it Switch. Because the X itself could be Switch from Cross meaning. I like the name. Also, Switch sounds like SWEET rather than Wii U sounds like Pew (Pepe le Pew).
I like how the dock protects the screen. Day one buy for me!
By the Trailer, its almost sure that we ganna have a Multiplayer Mario 3D game, whichi is nice at least to me.
I'm really loving the fact that Nintendo finally decided to learn from their competitors and from various, unique Android devices.
Things like NO MORE FARKING ACCIDENTAL CART EJECTIONS.
EDIT: Another thing crossed my mind, we'll FINALLY have a modern looking Monster Hunter game! Capcom was able to escape developing a modern looking MH game on Vita and/or PS4 because the 3DS existed, but now they have nowhere else to run. Time to finally give Monster Hunter the facelift it so rightfully deserves and perhaps so direly needed.
I expected the NX to be kind of bulky on the go since it was supposed to still be a console, but it is sleek and thinner than I expected. It's really awesome as far as design goes.
It looks super sleek, the gimmick is actually awesome and differentiates it from the other consoles in a very clever way. People can still play it like a normal console with a normal controller, or on the go with a (assuming) normal controller, or on the go/couch with joycon. It's like what Iwata said; Wii U swallowed by Switch (with help from Kirby) and out comes a really nice hybrid machine. This is perfect for me, for my family... my friends... impromtu multiplayer anywhere.
Just hoping it will get lots of third party support. This could be a return to form for Ninty.
@Rocossa that's a time machine
They absolutely nailed it.
@TruenoGT
Oh.... yeah.
Nice suggestion. So, we can have White L Joy Con, Black Switch Console and Blue R Joy Con by CrossDressing it. I understand the reason behind the NX name.
Is it actually a Touch screen?
Now THIS is how you sell a console! Straight and to the point, and with a sleek design to boot. 2017 can't come any faster!
https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoNX/comments/58hbzu/i_photoshopped_the_switch_in_different_colors/
@The_Dude_Abides I can see it potentially doing well, its message and accessibility seem a lot clearer and better then Wii U.
Gone with the yeah it's not bad at the mo all looks abit cheap plasticy for me but until we know more about the whole system, I'm sure it'll be more amazing than not bad .
Looks pretty good, I don't like the mini controllers and I'll withhold judgement until people confirm the battery life of the gamepad.
give me an SD card slot that recognizes games I've already got and we've got something going (or the USB ports can recognize an SD card reader, that would work too)
fyi, gamespot has two 'official' breath of the wild videos. combat and weather time-lapse.
@unovachamp90
Yeah it does.
I was praying for the rumors to be false but they were all true...
Nintendo is officially out of producing consoles. This is a portable and too big to fit in my pocket so no thanks
I'll probably get a PS4 Pro for XMas
Are there any new games for it besides Zelda which will be on
wiiu
I like the idea, but i'm going to need to see more games. So far, this just looks like Nintendo-branded remote play. My internet is spotty at times, so I hope it won't be too internet-dependent.
@Jazzer94 hahaa great reference.
"Shut the **** up Donny!!"
I was gonna get whatever it was anyway but this is hype beyond expectation. Let's go, March.
@Yoshi that makes sense. Otherwise the right joycon would be uncomfortable and awkward having the dock side on the bottom of the joy-con.
This is right up my street.
I can see my self playing on the big screen the night before and then continuing where I left off while waiting for the lads to turn up for work in the morning.
If you take a look closely, there are + and - symbols on above. It looks completely like Yin and Yang symbol, so does Switch logo. Interesting enough.
Only thing I'm sad about is that Wii U will not go on.
Now that I think about it, do you have to use the dock vertically? If so that's going to make positioning it on the shelf under my TV awkward.
Nice! I can play zelda in the living room, and then continue the gaming upstairs when wife is sleeping. Win/Win!
Also, did I just see NBA 2K? What?!
It's generally what I was expecting and what I was after, but with a few potentially major compromises and sacrifices that ultimately could totally negate any good it might be doing (for me personally).
A console/handheld hybrid is exactly what I wanted:
http://www.inceptional.com/2015/06/26/heres-the-gist-of-my-idea-for-nintendos-nx/
But, the ENTIRE point for me was to bring together all of Nintendo's disparate gaming concepts at this point and put them into one nice and neat machine without sacrificing any major element in the process. The point was to address the convoluted mess Nintendo itself has created yet keep everything great that it's done at the same time. If stylus input, touch, and dual screen gaming are now basically gone, alongside the obvious compromise in power on the home console side of things, I fear this is just another "Wii" and "Wii U" situation for me personally, where it's a device with great potential, which will probably never be fully realised, but compromises too much of the other stuff I now really want and expect from Nintendo's consoles at this point (given that it's Nintendo who's been creating all these new paradigms and therefor setting such expectations in the last few generations).
I want the be-all-and-end-all of Nintendo systems that pretty much addresses all of the issues I have with its current systems and have had with its various system in different ways since roughly the GC era, not a system that does a few things in a potentially very cool way but loses so much I've now come to love about Nintendo's other systems in the process. And I believe it was entirely possible for Nintendo to give me that, but it looks like it hasn't.
See, both Sony and Microsoft haven't set much expectations other than more of the same with more power each generation, so it's pretty easy for those companies to deliver that—and they absolutely do, plus a little or lot more each time (see Sony with PSVR for example). Nintendo, however, has built a house of so many different cards, by its own hands only, and it's on Nintendo to deliver the current full deck that's been built up over the years with each new generation plus something new/bigger/better too.
Switch is a big chunk of the deck with a few new cards added and a whole bunch of previous cards missing that I'm sure quite a few people are going to be disappointed and maybe even angry aren't there anymore, for generally no particularly good/great reason imo, if you get me. But, for what it is, I guess it's a pretty cool system. It just feels to me like it's already creating silly issues that didn't need to exist though, and that's a slightly worrying start right out the gate to my thinking.
If I were rich and could just buy consoles willy-nilly I imagine none of this would be much of an issue; I'd just get a Switch plus the other consoles and enjoy all of gaming. But, that's not a reality for me, and probably not for a whole lot of other people too. So, Switch is not only asking me to sacrifice some cool capabilities and features the competition offers but even sacrifice many cool capabilities that Nintendo own previous consoles have offered (both home and handheld). That just bugs me, and it's all Nintendo's fault because of the path it's chosen to lay in the last few generations.
Nintendo keeps making new beds for us but it's not letting us lie in them; instead it keeps "switching" beds, and each new bed isn't even necessarily more comfortable or going to give me a better nights sleep than the previous bed; it's just a new bed in a new position in the room with a shiny new headstand added and a couple of the legs removed. What I want is a new bed in a new position in the room with shiny new headstand plus the legs and maybe even a more comfortable mattress thrown in for good measure—that would feel like a legitimate upgrade and step forward without any compromises.
Do you see what I did there with the whole "switching" thing!
This is truly a breath of the wild awesome system!
Not even chuck norris could get answers from reggie becouse reggie's body was ready.
I love the design and name! Beautiful controllers and console!
The more I watch the reveal the more worred I become. It seems like a step backwards for nintendo. Yeah, okay the mobility is the innovation here but the variety of gameplay that wii/wiiu and 3DS explored all seem pretty compromised. Will it have gyro? Dual screen gaming? Hell, touchscreen? I'm actually extremely worried that, in the end, it's just a portable GameCube. Big set back.
I want it now
Spread the word everyone! We need the Switch to be a hit!!!
It looks really cool and modern, but I still want all the details. Price, specs, battery life.....
Having the ability to take that anywhere is something I always wished the Wii U gamepad could do. Ours is in our family room but on many occasions I wanted to take it upstairs but couldn't.
Plus, if a game of NBA Live breaks out after a pick-up game, we'll be prepared. Hopefully FIFA will be on this system too.
Also, was that Skyrim in video?
-Name & Console dock- Yeah, they're kinda neat, I suppose (going to miss the lovely blue light tho -sniffle-)
-Tablet + controllers on the other hand.. EW -why so bland?
Being part of that minority that prefers Nintendo's quirky ''gimmicks'' over traditional play/power- I can't help but feel a bit let down with this design.
It really should have tried to stand out a lot more, rather than just *look like a Wiiu v.2 -"only this time with detachable controllers!'' ~While also wishing it embraced VR/AR or some form of 'futuristic' technology.
So far.. all I'm seeing is a generic tablet ...that plays Ninty exclusive games ... on the go (nothing for me here, though I can see how others can appreciate that feature)
But when it comes down to it, this what the WiiU SHOULD have been from the start!
At this rate, I'd probably find myself more excited for a 3ds-Tv adapter =/
~Sigh~ but whatevs, right? It's all about the games. Even I can't deny my curiosity for what's to come, now that we'll finally? have better 3rd party support!
Games & price point will determine how long I wait to adopt my own N.S.
@impurekind Well said.
@Rocossa
It's AVGN's freaking Nintoaster.
@GraveLordXD Well then hopefully we see other future titles from Bethesda too.
@dkxcalibur Cheers.
Oh and obviously I'm already hoping for a Monster Hunter to make it's ways to this system at some point.
I have two gripes with the controller...the d-pad (seems like the buttons should be connected) and the placement of the right stick and abxy buttons. It seems like their positions should be swapped. Other than that, it looks great.
March is a whiles away...I wonder If I can freeze myself, like Cartman did for the Wii's launch....
@GraveLordXD Really?!? Playing with tiny micro controllers and the 'take it on the go' seem like textbook gimmicks to me. Motion controls and dual screen gaming were true innovations. Splatoon is the perfect execution of combining motion control, dual screen, and touch gameplay. Pure genius and very progressive. I just fear they're going back to the clunky dual analog control of yesteryears. Suddenly playing splatoon will feel like controlling a turret on a tank.
Thinking about pricing, if it's indeed $300-400 that might actually be fair since it's a portable. Unlike the 3DS and Wii u, the Switch thankfully does not have any insanely expensive (and arguably pointless) gimmicks that do more for driving up the console's price than for providing enjoyable gameplay. The various docking ideas are smart, modern, and well designed.
If the device is "expensive", it'll be because it's a fairly powerful MOBILE device. Mobile as in something you're able to move it around and that is completely self-sufficient. I assume $300-400.
At this point we need to NOT compare it to the XBone, PS4 and PC as well as any other stationary box that plays games. Yes it can connect to a TV, but so can most other mobile devices; it should be said that its main purpose is that of a portable.
Therefore, I say that it should be compared to other mobile devices including, phones, tablets, UMPCs, and laptops in the $300-400 price bracket. All of which are also capable of gaming, with some having an actual inclination towards gaming like the GPD Win and Lynx Vision. When compared to these mobile device categories, the Switch is likely on par with some and stronger than the other devices in this price bracket and when you think of it this way, a $300-400 price point would be completely justified. All those other devices have a main function aside from gaming, like being a phone or a computer. The Switch's is being a gaming machine and it'll be the best at it in the $300-400 mobile category (which is actually a big category, so I do believe the Switch can be very, very successful AS LONG AS NINTENDO MARKETS IT CORRECTLY, i.e. DO NOT MARKET IT AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO XBONE, PS4, AND PC AND DO NOT, FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS NINTENDO, DO NIT MARKET IT AS SOME KIND OF OVERLY UNIQUE BOX THAT LIVES IN ITS OWN FREAKING BUBBLE; rather, market it as a mobile gaming device that is quite simply THE BEST mobile gaming device you can get on the market, bar none)
@GraveLordXD
I only play my 3ds XL at home and got it because of the huge library of games
I barely play on the go
The only portable I usually take with me is the GBA SP...
I see why people may like this but it doesn't appeal to me.
It will be underpowered or very expensive just because is portable.
I only see myself getting this early if it will support all 3ds games to play on the big screen.
Otherwise I won't buy one until lots of exclusives are out for it and it is cheap
@gcunit nah maybe on special controller that colour returns.. this looks so much nicer
It's super sleek but man there are some serious design flaws IMO.
Why have the grip AND a pro controller? Nintendo needs to settle down with having too many accessories.
The JoyCon(R) has its analog in the middle of the controller. That just won't work.
I personally can't stand when the dual analogs are asymmetrical (like Xbox).
@gcunit
That would be excellent; they could really make colours that stick out against the metallic base and allow for some great personality.
I hope the switch can be synced with the wii u and used as a replacement gamepad. That way I can rest easy that my wii u will be fine in case the gamepad were to break someday.
I think it is the best looking hardware Nintendo has made to date.
I just hope the Switch Pro Controller has a gyroscope for Splatoon, otherwise it would be a huge disadvantage for me.
Yes. Just yes. So much yes to this console. End of. I'm getting it day one.
@DrRandle No Touchscreen? Of course it has a touchscreen. Everything else would be a step back.
The same goes with motion controls. I won't buy the console if it doesn't have motion controls or at least a mouse.
Looks like Nintendo is back on track. This is what Sony and Microsoft should be focusing on, not VR.
This looks better than I could have expected. Wow.
@impurekind nice comment. I've owned just about every piece of Nintendo hardware since in 1987 and the switch does nothing for me. I think they've got an even worse disaster on their hands than the wiiu (which I love btw) - meaning market share. It's basically a wiiu with less features. I guess it may do well in Japan. I just don't understand the supposed hype.
@Serelynn Couldn't agree more! What others defame by using the word 'gimmicky' (and they don't even use it right, since they were never gimmicks) is actually 'innovation' and what makes Nintendo special.
I also feel like the tablet looks way too generic. Also, the Joy-Cons look wierd. They look like they are too small. And why did they get rid of d-pads? It's the one thing that no manufacturer managed to beat Nintendo in up to date. I really hope I can use my Wii U Pro Controller with that. Only reason to buy the Switch Pro Controller would be built-in motion controls (if has them).
I am surprised by how many people are in love with the console already. I am not sure yet, I need to see software and I need to see it in action (not just a promotional video)
I'm concerned about internal memory, external options.
Also curious about local multiplayer, will games require two switch consoles? Does each switch need it's own copy of the game?
I'm hoping for steep virtual console discounts too!
@CrazedCavalier Only if you're a pervert.
On topic, console looks pretty sweet. I like the design, the name and logo are ok, I hope it functions as promised. Games are the clincher though.
@GraveLordXD . I agree with the annoying ground-pound mechanic in DKCR, lol. Well, like anything else, if it's done in good taste or to your preference. I can list far more games from the past 10 years that incorporated the motion, dual screen, etc. that were sublime than feeling annoyed or too lazy to shake the controller to make donkey kong ground pound. in fact, i felt the rocket ship parts were great in DKCR. I just feel it's very limited in capabilities and will fail to capture the mainstream gamer from the Xbox/PS crowd which seems like it's intentions. Elder Scrolls and Basketball??? Um, sure. Xbox/ps gamers have made it clear that graphics is paramount to everything else. Resolution wars, the most minuscule comparisons between multi-plats have dominated forums the past several years. To be honest this just seems like a wiiu minus some of the features that made games like splatoon and Pikmin 3 so great and probably not much improvement in graphics.
I do not like the look of that. I'm sorry Nintendo, but no... I want to like it, but I simply can't.
@GraveLordXD We are on other ends of the spectrum, I guess. However, like yourself - I've owned every Nintendo system since xmas '87 (portable too, even a brief stint with the virtual boy) and have come to appreciate Nintendo's rogue path. I thought the gamecube was uninspiring and was highly doubtful of the wii, but it eventually won me over. I'm just doubtful right now until we see more and saddened by the loss of the features I felt were evolving into true marvels of gaming. My worse fear is this is just a portable gamecube. Maybe it's time I take a break from gaming.
@shani Where's the evidence? You can't have a touch screen when you're using it on your TV, which would eliminate all need/design for it.
@Ryu_Niiyama
16?!?
It looks more mature and cool than expected. It's done away with alot of the stuff I didn't much care for- (extra screen, touch screen, 3D, motion control maybe?) and made a great looking, simple device. My 3DS was portable in the sense I could carry it in a backpack or shoulder bag, so this fits right in with the portability I expect. I've always preferred handheld gaming, so to have this as the new Nintendo console is perfect.
Can anyone tell if this thing has analog triggers or digital? They look analog to me, but very short range.
Also, is that a vent? A built in fan maybe?
Of course that's pretty much required for a Tegra chip, but it's still great to see that Nintendo might not be gimping too much on performance (for a mobile device at least).
Super excited, if this things runs like its supposed to, I'm all in. I'm glad they ditched the Wii name and began fresh. This has the potential to be a huge seller if games get released consistently.
@DrRandle "You can't have a touch screen when you're using it on your TV,"
Really good point. I've been so mad about paying for a screen I'd hide behind a dock wall, and paying for the dock wall, and no dual screen, and taking joy-cons on and off, and wonderingif it's 1 NNI Dlike 3DS o rmuilti like Wii U that no touch never occurred to me. You can't sell a tablet w/o touch, it's how we all use tablets every single day, that would make no sense. But you have a very good point. I'm going to hope touch turns off in the dock, maybe games don't have it, web browsing and mobile apps do. Zelda SO had a touch map. No touch on a tablet, absurd. But you make a good point. So few people notice the details.
@JaxonH Well it looks like you were right as usual, I'm part of the 2%. I think that guy above is the other part.
I like that its small and that I can play my games on a large TV or portable. Its seems very accessible. I like that its not using disc drives and going back to game cards. My biggest question is what kind of 3rd party support it will get and will it support virtual console
@sketchturner
Why?
Because the Grip is for converting the JoyCon into a standardish controller, so it won't be useless when you're playing on TV or when you have the tablet standing up with the kickstand, and the Pro controller is for on-TV MULTIPLAYER or for people who want a more traditional form factor. Nintendo is offering more choices, why hate?
@HeroOfTime32 It has USB ports so it should.
Now, imagine if the Switch had it's own equivalent of google cardboard. If the "JoyCons" have Gyro controls (most likely a 50/50 chance) then the Switch would be the most affordable VR solution with motion controls!
@GraveLordXD Lol what? Are you serious? Sounds like you never properly used motion controls. They're awesome and still by far the best (gaming) innovation in the last 20 years. A lot of great games and their gameplay wouldn't have been possible without them. Oh what a boring world this would be.
Actually, traditional controllers can burn in hell (well, not really, but they're partly outdated).
@DrRandle There is no evidence, just deduced it by reason. Obviously having a touchscreen would be very useful when you're taking the thing with you. And I'm assuming you don't have to put it in the dock at home either, that would be lame. Not having a second screen would be a big step back.
It makes absolutely no sense not to have a touchscreen on it.
Also, imagine the frustration/disappointment of the casual users when they realize the thing has no touchscreen. If Nintendo want the console to be a mainstream hit (like Wii) and not just for core gamers (like Wii U), they have to appeal to casual gamers.
@shani
D-pad threw me off as well, but surely nothing 3rd parties can't take care of?
As for the Pro Controllers, after the confusion they've already generated with the other bunch..
I wouldn't keep my hopes up. Sure, yours might still be compatible (if you're 'lucky') but I'm positive the most likely scenario would be that you'll be limited to only a few select titles. -.-;
I swear, you can never trust Ninty when it comes to supporting their own accessories AT ALL.
Was Nintendo seriously afraid of others ''copying'' snap on buttons? /there's tablets out there that do this already. :T
This "new" concept itself was even suggested since the days of Gba, if I'm not mistaken. o_O
Anyways, very comforting to know I'm not the only one underwhelmed here. ;-;
On first sight, it looks like a chinese knock-off gaming tablet, the overall concept isnt bad, but:
1) The Joy Cons seem to be extremely small. Going by experiences with the GameBoy Micro, thats rather cramp inducing.
2) Wear and tear. Lets hope the spring locks on the sliders can keep up over the years. I also find it rather iffy having to slide the display behind plastic all the time.
3) Accessories galore: Lets hope that this time, you get a whole package, and dont have to buy the base station, the Joy Con connector etc separately.
4) Buttons: The Joy Cons in tandem make your bog standard controller with one giant taboo: No proper D-Pad. A D-Pad made of buttons is almost unusable für anything other than menus or very slow gameplay, thus, making the pro controller almost necessary. The Joy Cons themselves are very limited in terms of buttons, probably leading to gameplay being heavily simplified to compensate that or being ditched in favor of a pro controller entirely.
5)Tech: Looks to be on par with the WiiU, which is a great thing for a mobile device and OK for a home console. The clip with BotW being played on the go looked rather slow though. I give it the benefit of the doubt that it was recorded badly, but i expect performance cuts in "mobile mode".
6)Screen: Size seems to be ok but it didnt show any touch input, which is curious.
7) Cartridges: As i said before, imo a great choice. The switch to optical mediums was done due to sice limitations back then. Nowadays, flash media can ceep up with that and comes with several benefits on its own.
The cards look like to be differently shaped than standard (3)DS cards though, so i dont think we will be seeing direct backwards compatibility.
Also: A lot of rereleases, meaning a LOT of repurchases.
Overall, im pleased but cautious.
Looks sleek, modern, and sexy just like @HeroOFTime32 said. Even my wife said it looked hi tech and sexy.
@Serelynn No, I would never buy a 3rd party controller, I did that several times and every single time it was a huge disappointment.
Also, I'm counting on controller backwards compatibility since it has become some kind of a Nintendo rule:
If the Switch doesn't support Wiimotes I'll be really pissed. Unless those strange-looking Joy-cons have the same features.
And I expect them to support the Wii U Pro Controller since it has the better layout. But I guess if the new Pro controller has motion controls, I would still buy it. Playing shooters with a stick is just zero fun.
I just want to play Mario with all my kids. And now it seems I can also play Fifa. Thinking to sell my ps4 come March
@GraveLordXD
Ack, looking closer....I'm starting to think they're digital again
They looks similar to the Wii U GPad's triggers...
@GraveLordXD
Personally, I find MK to be a total blast with motion controls when compared to the standard.
*Also, RaymanRavingRabbids would never be the same without em either xD
I'll agree, they can be a major pain when they're forced on the player (especially if you lose calibration, ie:Loz SS bug hunting)
Ideally, there should always be an option rather than favoring one control scheme over another.
I love my Wii U but having been burnt by lack of 3rd party support and the Wii U suffering an early death due to poor sales I won't be jumping into Switch early on. And I'm not bothered about gaming on the go, luv off tv play though.
I just can't see people buying this in addition to their PS4/Xbox as it doesn't look any/much better than Wii U, so can't see anyone beyond Nintendo fans buying it. So how quickly will 3rd parties jump ship if sales are low in the 1st year?
Just hope they don't switch Wii U online off anytime soon.
Some new games might help too, rather than ones that can already be played on Wii U or other systems.
It does look like a good bit of kit though so good luck Nintendo.
The Joy-Con Grip looks terrible. Hopefully it will be an N64 controller moment but god is it ugly.
Another thing I'm worried about, I REALLY hope that whatever mechanism is holding the Joy-Con to the tablet is MEGA ULTRA durable, especially considering how it the JoyCon slides into the Switch. Whenever I do finally get one, I do want to play for a year only for the tablet to start slipping out, falling to the ground, and breaking. Considering all they're packing into this, I'm going to assume the tablet will have some heft to it.
The more I think about it, the more I'm questioning how small and awkward the JoyCons look.
Also, this system looks too big to slide into a pocket for streetpass features. It really is more of a hybrid. I'm starting to hate the word hybrid for some reason!
Damn... I just bought a PS4 smh
@GraveLordXD
I just wanted to start my list with Splatoon, playing without gyro controls is a huge disadvantage. But then I saw your next post, so to abbreviate this:
Every shooter. Playing a shooter with a dual-stick setup is slower (= the distance you have to move your fingers is bigger), therefore less efficient and more exhausing.
Sure, some people get/got used to it (or even good at it, like friends of mine), but you can also get used to driving a car with only two wheels. Doesn't mean that it's the best method.
The best method to play a shooter (or strategy games, for example) clearly is having a mouse or motion controls because you can move the pointer freely and quickly whereevery you want, whereas with a control stick, you have to move constantly and slowly until you reach the desired point (not to mention lack of accuracy) . The latter never occured to me until I played a shooter on Wii for the first time (Red Steel, later also games like the Conduit).
But let's forget shooters.
Skyward Sword would've missed a lot of legendary gameplay mechanics like the fights against Ghirahim, where you actually had to surprise him, which means you had to treat him like a real human being, not like a videogame boss. The precise sword movement was so important in that game, it would've been lame without it. And it wouldn't have been possible without the Wiimote+. Or the puzzles where you had to move an object in 3-dimensional space to fit it int. Also no fun without gyro. Or flying the beetle. Or aiming with a bow (= the same problem that you have with shooters).
Games like Silent Hill: Shattered Memories wouldn't have been so immersive without the Wiimote.
Games like Mario Galaxy 1+2, NSMB/NSMBU and MKWii/MK8 would've been possible without gyro controls, but being able to jump/spin by moving the Wiimote was a big advantage when it counted the most. Because in MK you had to react quickly to not miss the timing for the stunt (which gives you a boost) and in the other games it was an emergeny move to avoid dying. Remember, just shaking the Wiimote is a lot quicker than moving your finger to press a button.
Another good Wii game that used motion controls in an unconventional way was Tournament of Legends. Finally a beat 'em up that got it right.
Art of balance (multiplayer) would've been boring without motion controls.
These came just from the top of my head, there are surely more games that profited a lot from motion controls, but this post is getting long as it is.
But one additional thing in response to your post: In 90% of the games or situations, you don't have to wave your arms. That would be way too exhausting and is not what I mean with 'using it properly'. You just move your hand a little bit. Or sometimes the movement comes from your wrist, often it's only a short movement too.
I think that's the biggest misunderstanding about the Wii and motion controls and Nintendo's marketing (their ads) is to blame for that: They're not made for big movement. Motion controls excell when you use them for small or even tiny movement. They truly shine when they're used for precise movement.
Now I really don't want to sound rude (and I'm giving anyone the benefit of the doubt), but when you say they 'made the games worse' and you'd 'wish they weren't there', to me this sounds like you just didn't use them right or didn't take the time to get into it (or a general unwillingness to engage with it, to learn the new controls).
You do realize it takes some practice until your brain forms the neuronal connections that are necessary in order to use a control device properly or for the controller to feel 'natural' to you?
The same process was necessary the first time you picked up a conventional controller as a child. I'd even assume that, if you'd picked up a Wiimote as a child opposed to a N64 or SNES controller, you'd learned to use the Wiimote faster than the other controllers. Because it's more intuitive, more in line with natural movement and usage of tools.
So my question would be: How much time did you take to learn the new controls? And in which games did you wish they weren't there? Because obviously there were also a lot of crappy games that didn't fully use the potential of the Wiimote (or not at all).
Please, don't get me wrong, I know and accept that not everyone is made for some things (like I'm not made for a certain kind of games). There are just so many people disregarding motion controls because they either didn't take the time to learn them or dismissed them as 'waggling'. Motion controls are not waggling (unless maybe for those Wario games or Mario Party). I've seen plenty of people playing on my Wii who where just waggling and always lost because of that. I constantly had to remind them 'No, don't waggle wildly, use calm and precise motion, you don't even have to use that much energy'. Some people just didn't listen and some eventually got it (and got good at it).
But still it feels like many people just didn't take the time to properly learn the controls and then they blame the motion controls for being shitty and useless, just because they weren't open to learning something new. And again, no offense!
I never comment about Nintendo, but wow this looks truly awesome! The thing to remember here is that they are not just replacing win u but the 3ds as well, and if it is as functional as it is stylish the big N will have done an amazing job! Never, ever count Nintendo out! I expect to see at least a full home version and just a portable SKU. But truly, well done Nintendo! NB. The 4 sitting around playing the 'portable' component, at first glance it does look like they are playing Atari Lynxs!! Super-charged Atari Lynxs!!
@GraveLordXD A very simple eShop game but Onslaught for Wii actually uses the motion controls rather well imo, with you having to wave your left arm to wipe alien blood/goo off your visor before it starts burning you like acid, and you having to wave you right arm to use a whip-like melee weapon. It's stuff that isn't essential to the fps gameplay but is just a fun use of the motion controls, and it all seems to make sense in context and work reliably too. It's only a few bucks to buy so give it a go if it's still available for purchase on the eShop.
I would really love it if they came out with sleeker editions and other variations. The grey color doesn't especially speak to me.
@arrmixer LOL yes. SNES, Genesis, N64, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbone, ps1,ps2,ps3, ps4, wii, wiiu (USA), wiiu (jpn), PsTV and a gaming PC. I have to marry a fellow gamer girl because I refuse to sell ANY of it. I also have 4 3ds systems (I had 6 but gave two away), a psp, a vita, a gbc and a ds lite. Aside from the 3ds systems (I only play two of them) I rotate all of this stuff out. I do long for a Neo Geo...maybe someday. I also need to re-buy a NES.
Most of it is in storage now (I'm about to move across the country) but I'll try to dig up a pic of my setup. Or I'll make a note to post my setup once I move. I've been gaming since I was 3...I just turned 31 so if you look at it that way my setup isn't that much of a stretch...all original hardware too. I have my gamecube still but that is why I keep the wii hooked up so it is a travel system. I have so many 3ds systems because Zelda variants and Japanese systems and I upgraded to xl because I'm funny about my vision.
Oh and I work two jobs and go to school and train in three forms of martial arts and play in a taiko group. iCal and alarms are my friend.
I see some people are lamenting a proper d-pad. Well if you look very closely you'll see it in the top corner of the right-hand JoyCon!
@GravelordXD: Damn, someone on Neogaf just expressed what I was trying to say in a nutshell:
"Gyros don't fall under gimmick anymore at this point. They've been with us for damn near a decade and they've improved to the point where they're far more accurate than they used to be. They're a big component in VR, they're used widely in mobile gaming, and most console manufacturers have a controller with gyros built in or in the handheld consoles themselves. The only thing that's changed is that developers are using gyros when they make sense instead of using it just because it's a brand new thing."
The last part is the most important one. In the early Wii era, developers desperately wanted to use motion controls but many didn't know how to implement it in a useful way. I think that gave them a bad reputation. But that situation has changed.
@NIN10DOXD thank god!
System+dock=$399
Pro Controller=$49.99
JoyCon Grip=$29.99
System Mount (car picture above)=$19.99
Am i the only one that feels like this is a hoax? maybe ive just been battered by too many "concepts"
@Yoshis95 I hope it is. Don't like the design and the name is stupid.
So when using the joy-cons as two controllers, are there interior L/R buttons that hide when they're attached to the Switch?
@TenEighty i went straight to the source nintendo.com and watching their video it actually looks really cool, and one thing im impressed about is they are able to maintain good graphics even when your not playing on the base at home. And while i dont necessarily think the name is stupid i dont think its great. Lately game companies have been very lacking with name creativity. eg. XboxOne, PS4 plus. I think NX wouldve been just fine to keep
@shani If you don't dock it, how will it connect to your TV screen? The dock isn't a streaming device, it's a connector.
Looks like the dreamcast controller without the vmu. The joy con grip one
@DrRandle Well I'm hoping they will provide a cable. The Wii U Gamepad also came with a charging dock and a charging cable. It would be a simple solution and everyone would be happy.
Anything else would be truly disappointing. Why implement a great feature and then throw it away in the next generation?
Splatoon would be missing a very integral part of its gameplay, for example. Without a map on a second screen, there would be much more need for communication. The beauty in having the second screen was not only being able to Superjump but - more importantly - to be able to see everything at any time. When playing in higher ranks - but I guess especially for the pros - it is essential to notice the tiniest ink changes on the map. I just saw several Splatoon players on Neogaf saying the same thing, so I'm pretty sure it's not just me.
Without having the map at the ready, they would not only take away a great tool during battle, it would also mean that voicechat is mandatory. I really hate that idea.
I think they just went yard.
Looks lovely and very expensive. I think it will be £299 with no 3DS support. My personal guess.
Sainsbury's in my local town is still selling Wii U black for £250 hopefully will have a price cut. I have a 3DS but not a wii U. With this Switch hopeful wii U will be like £150 might finally get one.
It looks incredible. Miles ahead of the Wii U in terms of sleekness and design.
@shani So touch screens and motion controls, both of which were in the WiiU, Nintendo's biggest commercial failure of a console, are successful and imparative requirements, but Voice Chat, which has been around since the original xbox and PS2, and are widely lauded as a requirement for online play by literally everyone else when it comes to team coordination, is a fault and should be kept out of the package?
Everyone has their priorities, but I think yours are vastly different from gaming as a whole.
I agree with the asymmetrical controller thing... time will tell just how that feels! Otherwise I'm drooling-- the design is spot on
@dkxcalibur I would be very pleased with that price model.
@DrRandle No, I was not just referring to the Wii U, others have also incorporated those ideas.
-Sony's move controllers (which are now used for PS VR)
-the Kinect (which probably wouldn't have happened if the Wii hadn't established motion-based controls) - MS actually hired this guy for the development of Kinect after he showed what else you can do with a Wiimote
using a Vita as a second screen
-HTC Vive (which also relies on motion controls and is inspired by Wiimote+Nunchuk)
-even Apple released the first Iphone only after the Wii was a success and although they might've developed the idea before, this certainly gave them assurance that there was a market for smartphones with multitouch gestures since they're similarly intuitive
Besides, commercial success doesn't necessarily equal good design or innovation.
I never said VC is a fault generally, I sometimes use it myself, but only via Steam or TS when I'm playing with a friend. But the fact remains that for some people VC is just interfering too much with the gaming experience. I'm one of them, it just distracts me too much and in 90% of the time it doesn't give me any information I don't already have (in case of Splatoon).
Splatoon actually proved that there is a significant number of players who play without VC. It might not be the majority in general (I''d assume it's 30-40%), but I'd say in Splatoon it's at least 50/50. And that's because Splatoon is specifically designed so that you don't necessarily need VC if you're just alert during the match and regularly take a look at your surroundings and the map. I'd say if they would add two additional text commands (like many demanded in Squidboards, for example), VC would become almost completely superflous.
Still, if anyone wants to play with VC, they can do that (via Discord, TS, Steam, Phone or whatever way they prefer) and I don't see no fault in that.
At 3pm I had the look of a man that had been up since 4am, worked 8 hours & just wanted to be amazed...
3.04pm - after having several ppl walk past looking at me weirdly as I had been grinning widely (not quite bigly) I wiped a tear from my eye & took a breath ..
The Nintendo feeling I had missed since the launch of N64 and other consoles (not so much Wii U & New 3DS) was back in my heart. I have loved Nintendo since my SNES & have been a one-company fanboy/man but felt maybe the time to 'defect' to another home console was due, as it felt Nintendo was losing its touch..
The look of this console is very 'now' - I've never cared for the box look of the current generation & felt the Wii U console wasn't the best look after the consoles before.
A trimmed Wii U with the heart & soul of a 3DS is my initial feeling, with gaming anywhere the social hook to hopefully draw the masses.
Controllers that thankfully have the Home & (Share?) buttons not on the screen where they could accidentally be knocked. If the size of the screen is an indicator of the joy-con's then maybe they aren't not much smaller than the Wii U game pad controls. Also - and + at the top for volume control? No-one has mentioned sound as yet other than headphones.
Instant transfer from tablet to tv looks seamless & protects the tablet screen too.
2 Extra USB slots of left side of dock can be used to charge Switch Pro controllers.
Easy transport of games in cart form, hopefully it has a dual size slot (wide at top, narrow at bottom) so 3DS games still playable (please Tv play too!)
Is the top slot a fan or a speaker? Surround sound should be possible & better placed than base/rear speakers.
Downsides for me:
If Joy-cons are too small.
No motion controls - can't see a sensor bar unless built into screen?
Should still have gyro controls thou?
Not seen the 'right side' yet - possibly disc slot for Wii U home play?
Touch screen a given but is multi-touch included?
Price point & specs an important factor.
If Nintendo has at least the majority of the above they'll have a monster hit, with them all then we could be witnessing the second coming of the Wii/DS days for us.
It's a toaster.
But I like it.
I really hope that R Analog feels accessible. I really like the staggered design of the Gamepad.
@andregurov me too. i am not digging this color at all. i like the concept, but the design doesnt look very nintendo. dont even get me started on that pro controller.
It's cool, but I'm a touch concerned about the size of the detachable controllers... they're tiny! How comfortable are they to use?
@Ryu_Niiyama
Impressive! I would love to see a pic of that setup ... well I wish you the best I know what it is to work multiple gigs and school and etc... well I did 🙂 I'm just married, chillin, and with 2 jobs right now lol 😂
@Jin15 Don't forget original Game Boys, one of those is on display in a museum, still functioning today, after surviving a direct hit from a bomb.
One of the first things I asked myself when I saw the reveal: What if the detachable controllers are lost or stolen? Do we have to buy new ones, or would Nintendo handle it another way depending on the circumstance?
As for the design, I can see it blending in with other tech products at home and out in the field, and I can see the design being popular upon release. Kudos to the engineers for the design in that regard. The main problem I foresee is trying to explain this myriad of controller/setup options to a non-tech savvy audience. It's intuitive for those who are tech savvy (and millenials in general), but for everyone else, this is a far cry from the sheer simplicity of the Wii Remote. There might possibly be TOO many control style options.
With the design it seems Nintendo is going after the so called "blue ocean" again, but this time with more of a younger/more techie slant. I can't possibly see this being popular with more elderly audiences like the Wii. It's not particularly friendly to those who are handicapped like the Wii was, either. So it seems to tread the middle ground like the Wii U tried to do, but more effectively.
Getting rid of the failed asynchronous double screens concept is going to benefit Nintendo a lot, so it seems like they learned the hard lesson of the Wii U. I don't see a problem with the asynchronous analog sticks of the Pro controller- several controllers like the GameCube/Wavebird and Xbox S/360/1 have utilized it without a problem, and the GCN's in particular was a great controller. So this is a nice return to form, though I'll have to hold it in my hands before judging it.
I do worry that the holding mechanism for the detachable controllers might be too easily broken, and I can't imagine multiple people hunching over that tiny mobile screen while it's standing up. Doing that would remind me a little too much of those mini portable 6 inch TV's of the '90s. I can certainly imagine just the mobile component being the most popular way of using it while out and about.
And... I'm still calling it an NX, Switch is a little too bland.
@arrmixer Hey! I'll make a note to post a pic after my move. I looked at some of my old vanity shots and they are a bit blurry. the only thing I have clear is videos of my rabbit running past my setup which doesn't focus on the systems obviously. Ugh...I need to build a new entertainment center.
Nothing wrong with the family life! Thank you for the positive thoughts!
@Xaessya I hope so. Because I'm gonna be pretty miffed if none of our old controllers work with this new console, no matter how "revolutionary" and cool it is.
@Ryu_Niiyama
oh definitely. Family is love and love is life!
your welcome take care.
Looks good, but I have to say that the console + cradle combo looks a little ugly imo? Like, the way that just a little bit of the console pokes out over the wall and such... Still, I'm looking forward!
Does the front of the dock fold down with a keyboard, so you can use it like a laptop.
Seems dumb to keep the screen covered in the dock when it could be used as a (secondary) display.
Not sure how I feel about the black and grey. Looks a bit industrial and not very Nintendo like. Would like to see it in white with different colored A, B, X & Y buttons.
Also, not a big fan of the name "Switch" or the logo. Just seems a bit generic and uninspired.
give us some fun colors . . .
Looks good.
In a time were everyone is alone at home and plays online multiplayer, Nintendo reminds people that playing local is half the fun of gaming. Man, gaming today just keeps being poopidoopy, everyone is on PS4 and plays only shooters and agressive games, and then Nintendo comes thru with a new local multiplayer, fun, colorful game and almost nobody pays attention.
I just love Nintendo.
If they ever go down, the gaming world will become so gray and poopy...
