@Henmii Yup, it's the random thing. There is a chance that it spawned on a random bench I was running through and I have no intention of checking every one. I did do everything else in the game (other than steel runs) and am extremely happy with it. Top 10 of all time game experiences for me. I appreciate you trying to help!
I only wish for one update: for them to make the Craw Summons consistently spawn. I got 100% on the game and did all the other challenges except this blasted quest which hasn't seemed to spawn in my game...
The Heist series is one of my favorite! Really hope this helps them keep the series going and build more! I would love a 3d Heist game, somewhat like Valkyria Chronicles!
The console looks like everything I was hoping for. From the naming, to the improvements on the original.
HOWEVER, the reveal was pitiful. No presentation, no games reveal, no hardware specs.... they essentially confirmed what we saw in all the leaks. They've had this ready for months and could've done better.
Ubisoft's fall is not good news for any gamer. The industry is hurting and we don't need any more layoffs and studios closing.
While some of their games are indeed not to my liking, this is also the studio that brought us many classics: Rayman, AC, Far Cry, Immortals Fenyx Rising, Mario + Rabbids, Watch Dogs etc.
I do hope they change their marketing department, stop the price cut shenanigans.
@Liam_Doolan I think it's time to add the SwitchUp scores to these summaries. I personally find their reviews stronger that most other reviewers, and always go to you here at NintendoLife and them. FWIW, they gave it an 87%
Tremblay's comment is phenomenally asinine. Once again, Ubisoft's marketing team messing up and taking headlines, instead of the devs – who just managed to reboot a classic franchise (PoP) with a great new entry.
$216 annually for Ubisoft games is a preposterous idea.
Really hope they build a third game and make this into a franchise.
I know it's backseat driving here, but IMO the challenge with sales is 100% the marketing team, and not developers. Ubisoft developers put real care into this franchise and it shows in the polish of the games.
Absolutely brilliant game! I got it for the Steam Deck and found it to be one of the most entertaining games I have played in recent times.
What makes it particularly impressive is that I'm not a big fan of pixelart and thought the game looked pretty terrible at first sight. The gameplay is truly THAT gripping.
It's a must have for those who haven't played it yet.
What I would really love, is an option to keep upping the difficulty of enemies as you level up, and getting gold enemies in the base game, once you're powerful enough. I don't need another playthrough, but I would enjoy the option of facing tougher enemies in this one.
Such a disappointment to see this becoming the norm. The game isn't out, and yet they already announce the ways in which they didn't include everything they could in the $60 game. Well... guess I'll wait 2 years and get the Komplete edition for $19.99.
The publisher, Outright, is a mixed bag. My Friend Peppa Pig is the most garbage game I ever bought. It's about a 2:1 ratio of playtime to loading time – which is completely unacceptable. Yet, their Paw Patrol game is incredibly polished and my child loves it. I guess we'll need to wait and see with this one.
@smithyo calling fuse "pointless" is a bit of a stretch. As I see it, it's the single most important mechanic change in the game that transformed the nuisance of weapons breaking into a fun progression (with higher level enemy parts) and experimentation part of the game.
I think all the big Nintendo announcements will come at the September live event. My hope is that we get some announcement about Switch 2 and a 3D Mario game... I know. It's a hope, but still how awesome would that be?!
I just hope they don’t botch it and actually make a Switch 2 (beefed up Switch) instead of a Switch U (weird innovative attempt that no-one cares for).
My wishlist is: better processor and graphics, better joysticks that don’t drift and audio jack on the pro controller. Anything else would be a plus.
@Shambo if you like the genre, don’t sleep on Valkyria Chronicles. It’s my favorite of the bunch. 1 & 4 are on Switch. 2 is PSP and not as good. 3 is pretty good but never got localized in the West. There is a fan made translation that is surprisingly polished but it does require buying the Japanese copy and tinkering with it.
Precisely @JohnnyMind! @Shambo you’re not alone. But I don’t think it makes you “guilty”. People buying high quality AAA Ubisoft games for crazy discounts soon after launch is their fault, not yours. I’ve done it too. Yet, when Nintendo launches a new 3D Mario or Zelda game, I don’t hesitate to pay full price. I know it’ll be about a year until it is discounted, and rarely more than 30%. That consistent pricing and messaging properly honours the quality of the games. I wish Ubisoft would learn from those who get it right.
I really hope Ubisoft changes their marketing strategy to honour the good work from their developers. The shenanigans of building a AAA game and then cutting the price in half a month later means no-one buys their games full price.
I’m happy to buy a Mario + Rabbids game at full price. These games have Nintendo-like polish and unique gameplay. Ubisoft, don’t blame the title or the IP. Blame the marketing geniuses who give you such a bad reputation.
@Classic603 we got the other paw patrol game for our kid when he was 3 and he loves it! It performs well on the switch and has been a great intro to platforming. The performance was good too. We tried the Peppa game, but it the performance made it unplayable. We were always in loading screens.
If this performs well on the Switch it’s a day 1 for our home. The kids love watching TOTK, and I would love to have them play something they can manage themselves.
I really hope there's some type of lawsuit against this type of game. While I detest micro-transactions in general, I absolutely abhor it in games targeting children. I was very much looking forward to introducing this game to my children. Unfortunately, this game is not coming into my home.
2K is somehow becoming my most disliked studio, even with all the intense competition for the spot.
As much as I love Nintendo, I really hope they are punished for putting any sort of micro-transactions in a game targeting children. I think the practice is awful and I really hope the penalties make the practice unaffordable in the future.
How I wish they would remaster the Rogue Squadron games and make them a trilogy in one cartridge. As someone who doesn't particularly enjoy Star Wars games, this would still be a day 1 for me. Those games were exceptional.
My Friend Peppa Pig is cheap cash grab. It performs horribly on the switch, even though it doesn’t do anything demanding. It’s an absolute joke and my kid hates trying to play it but getting stuck in infinite loading screens.
PSA: Before I comment on the game, I strongly encourage people to not miss the voucher opportunity, if you're planning on getting this and TOTK. Both games go from $130 to $99 with the vouchers.
This is my first Advance Wars game. While I like it a lot, I'm feeling like the $60 price tag (or even $50 with the voucher) was too steep for what is on offer. Given that all the gameplay concept was created decades ago, it's disappointing that they don't have proper voice acting or online matches with non-friends. Now that I've read more about the series, it's also a bummer that they didn't include the later games in this one package.
Overall, it feels like a cash grab on a game that deserves a lot of merit. I think it should be a $40 game at most.
This game had a real 10/10 potential. With the problems I listed above, I give it an 8/10.
When I saw that NL was reporting on this, I assumed the comments would be singing Jirard and his team’s praises - especially since this is a video game publication. Now reading the comments, I notice that the negative ones are by people commenting on a topic they don’t know about and on a video they didn’t watch. Given the uniqueness of the DS and WiiU hardware, we should be grateful that someone went through the effort of preserving these media. IMO, this is something Nintendo should do and that there should be arquival laws to ensure it happened. However, since that’s not an option yet, as these eShops go down, private endeavors are crucial.

So long Genki. You probably lost more customers like me along with a ton of ¥¥¥¥ with this lawsuit.
Re: Stunning New Physical Edition Of Stardew Valley Is Now Available At Fangamer
This is pretty, but unless they fix the game breaking bugs on co-op, I would hope they only focused on that instead of new special editions.
