Re: Capcom Reveals The Most Used Weapon In The Monster Hunter Rise Demo

Zimon

The demos for Monster Hunter are more a sneak-peak for veterans than an actual traditional demo.

If Pokémon had a demo similar to Monster Hunter it would be of a late-game gym and nothing else.

There are lot stuff that aren't explained and it's not a good representation of what the game cycle is like.

Re: Nintendo Unveils Monster Hunter Rise Special Edition Switch Console

Zimon

Good. That clears that up.
This GUARANTEES there's no Switch Pro this year. Absolutely no chance Nintendo makes a special edition Switch that 90% of Japan would want only to then release a better console version 6-9 months later. Zero chance unless Nintendo doesn't give a f about Japan. And they do.

Re: Best Of 2020: No More Robots Boss On How Switch eShop Is Pushing Publishers To Game The System

Zimon

I feel this doesn't apply to me at all.

I base my purchases on youtube let's players. I watch 1 or 2 episodes and decide if I want to play it myself or if it isn't for me.

Secondly I wait for a sale. My backlog is crazy and if I can save 5 bucks I will.

Thirdly I SOMETIMES go by publisher in the eshop. For example I loved Oxenfree. I saw they also made a game called Afterparty when I clicked their tab. So I bought it. Same with Spiritfarer and Jotun. But these "chance purchases" are rare and far between. I usually youtube a game before I buy.

I never check demos, Metacritic and top sellers charts tab.

If you are not covered on SwitchWatch, SwitchCorner, 8 bit Eric, SwitchUp, RGT 85, Spawnwave, Stumpt, 4 hit Combo etc etc I probably will never hear about your game unless you become a indie top seller on Steam.

Re: Review: Fuser - A Flawed, Dorky And Often Brilliant Music Game

Zimon

This is a hidden gem if you like music games. The song selection is REALLY good and if you know anything about harmonics and can keep a rythm you can create professional sounding mixes very easily.
I had one hiccup in my 15 hour playthrough so far so obviously they've patched that since this review.
This is the most fun I've had with a music game since Rock Band!
I'd give it 10/10 for excellent track list, beginner friendly, fun campaign and good network code in online play.
But...you can't export your creations on Switch currently. Which is a real bummer. So it's a 8.5/10. Highly recommended but maybe on another platform unless portability isn't a main feature for you.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 12th)

Zimon

Still playing Animal Crossing daily.

I'm also grinding through Monster Sanctuary and having a chill time leveling up my mons.

And last I've decided to fire up Ring Fit again for the first time in months. I saw NyanCave stream it yesterday and that got me motivated to continue through the story mode.

Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield's Gloria Has Finally Been Given A Voice, And It's (Very) British

Zimon

@MarkMahzes I understand where you're coming from but my counter arguement is 1) it isn't a free mobile game. It's a fully priced game. If Fire Emblem and Xenoblade 1 and 2 can be voiced then so can Pokemon.
2) Even if they didn't want to voice every character in the game they could have at least voiced the cutscenes. Zelda did it.

I know I'm just whining at this point. My point is Sword and Shield is a HUGE let down. At least for me. And I really wanted to like it.
