One game that's been back in the spotlight in 2020 is Monolith Soft's stunning open-world RPG Xenoblade Chronicles.
Earlier this year, the series celebrated its 10th anniversary and also got a Definition Edition release on the Nintendo Switch. That's not to say the developers have forgotten about the second game, though. You see, this week actually marks the third anniversary of the second entry.
To celebrate this special milestone, the game's main character designer Masatsugu Saito shared some lovely illustrations of Pyra and Mythra over on Twitter. Take a look below:
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was released on the Switch in December 2017 and was followed by a special prequel story Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna - The Golden Country in September 2018.
When we reviewed the second game, we said it was another Xenoblade gem and a "must-have" for the most dedicated of adventurers. Have you played Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on the Switch yourself? How about the prequel component? Leave a comment down below.

Another great game despite not having as good a story as the first one. I still need to finish the Golden Country storyline, but maybe I'll get back to that when I eventually New Game Plus this one.
Hoping whenever Nintendo do a Nintendo Selects line, this is one of the first games to get it as I think you can't buy brand new physical copies of the game anymore.
I bought the game 3 years ago and still being neglected for almost 3 years.
very pretty and shiny
I didn't realize they gave Twitter accounts to pieces of paper with the words "anime tiddy" written on them.
Seriously, the character design is sub-Nomura levels of stupid.
One of my favorite games on the platform, and, alongside Torna, it's my favorite Monolith title to date.
Really hoping to hear about their next project soon.
I've played all 4 Xenoblade adventures (original, X, 2 & Torna) and they are all varying degrees of FANTASTIC
I'd rank them
1-Original
2-X
3-Torna
4-2
I love Definitive Edition and I am hoping to play 2 soon as a friend's gonna let me borrow his copy sometime. I'm enjoying Chuggaconroy's LP and will be following it as I play.
Great art!
Loved XC2, and it's still one of my favorite titles on the system (maybe my favorite). I think Torna did a great job of tidying up some of the mechanical issues of the main game, and is probably my favorite entry from a gameplay point of view. Currently playing XCDE, and while I don't like the characters as much as XC2's cast, the gameplay loop is just as good if not better in areas.
Easily my favorite modern Nintendo IP, and it's all thanks to XC2.
Pretty sure I have XC2 from a sale, but it's one of those games that seem like a commitment...so I haven't had the time to play it.
-maybe I'll start if there's another lockdown 🤷♂️
I'd prefer celebrating with a port of Xenoblade Chronicles X or a sequel to that.
@PBandSmelly The guy is acclaimed artist with refined and unmistakably his own style. If you not see this, he’s not the horny one.
Whoa, isn't this a spoiler?? You know, for the plot of the game.
Awesome I was talking about this series on this site with 2 people earlier sad I've known about this game for long but ignored it till the SWITCH port of 1 came and I still haven't played it
@AlienX wait are those two the same people I haven't played 1 or 2
ew booby gross.
@SMUGSLOTH69 I was making a bad joke about the characters' assets. I've no idea if they are the same character, I would assume no, fwiw all I know is they're not homs like Shulk.
@AlienX oh thank god bc I was gonna get all scared about playing the game but they do look really similar
Just recieved my copy in the mail today. Excited to play it after XC1 Definitive Edition.
After all this time, it's still fascinating to have people look at this games artwork, zero in on any cleavage and accuse others of being horny...
Similar nonsense happened with Bayonetta as well.
Well, at least until they found out that the character was designed by a woman who defended her designs against the men on the team...
If only you people weren't so deathly afraid of woman...
You might even get to enjoy some genuinely great characters if you manage to look past their cleavage from time to time...
My second most played game on Switch in terms of play hours. And my second favorite game of all time. I adore this game so very much. It does have a couple hiccups that keep it from being as good as XC1, but it's still one of the greatest games ever. Currently working on my first revisit to the game since my original 100% pre-DLC run.
I don't care if you disagree with my. You'll never change my mind.
@SMUGSLOTH69 @AlienX how the turntables...
@Einherjar The difference though is that in this game it's just thrown in your face which happens in a lot of games like this one but considering the first one was not like it at all yeah it's kinda annoying and detracts the serious points of the story along with poorly written comedic cutscenes. I love this game but xc1 did not obviously throw this in your face in a anime fashion like this one does a LOT to the point of just being like c'mon. I love the character of pyra and mythra but SO MUCH TIME IS SPENT EVEN IN CUTSCENES JUST THROWONG IT AT YOU it's like hot damn this game had a good character that they made much worse by having cutscenes where some bad joke is made about the revealing clothing or what not. I mean xc1 shined with this without jokes appealing to horny weebs and yeah it has its moments of bad jokes but the comedy never goes far enough to distract from the serious story and although I love this game it's combat is actually much better in my opinion it stumbled hard there and it's a shame. Don't even get me started the blades I mean this game just throws it all over and THAT is not good design. Look at persona when it has slightly revealing designs it either makes sense for the personas personality or is copied off of the myth it's based on which is what you used bayonetta as a reference for that is just people making the best design that suites the character because one of the main points of the game is the demons character and to be able to recognize a mythological beast or more revealing designs adds to how the game is based around the peoples brains and the fact these designs are so good they have been in use since smt is a impressive feat
@Ghostchip I read your first message but not your second bc it was long and that scared me can you dumb it down for me
@SMUGSLOTH69 this game over sexualized it's characters and it detracts from their development and the overarching story with bad jokes and a few more annoying things. My only complaint with the game other than that loved it. Also I gave examples of how characters that were more revealing in other games can have good design that can fit a character or doesn't detract from the character or story but this is not one of those games
@AlienX nice Im assuming you know the truth thanks for not spoiling it for that person also person I won't tell you but it's nothing said here so you won't be spoiled
After animal crossing this is my most played game on Switch. Love the series and would like more, please. Nintendo, seriously, where's my XC3?
@Chowdaire I'd eat my shirt if it wasn't in development already friend can't wait to play it just like you
I'm so happy I bought Xenoblade 2. Initially my switch was only going to be a smash bros machine. However, after playing this game I was convinced I was missing out on so much more. I only got Xenoblade 2 last year on black friday but ever since then I've found so many new games that I absolutely adore! I can't wait for the next Xenoblade title!
@Ghostchip I'd still say that if their design "distracts" you, that says a lot more about you than the designer.
No judgement whatsoever, but if your mind zeroes in on these things to the point that it's all you see, it might be you, not the design...
Especially if it's the occasional risque joke that's distracting from the "serious story", not the giant, talking British butler cat, the mad scientist / weeb mascot / furball, or the "Zekenator" and his trusty pocket turtle...
I think you get the idea.
You probably wouldn't say that the way Zeke is portrayed as overly silly and stupid, with his super hero speeches and poses and his love for his pocket turtle while looking manly and cool distracted in anyway from his character, arc and dark backstory.
Yet, you get distracted simply by how a female character looks.
Again, don't get me wrong, i'm not trying to point fingers here in any way, i'm merely trying to make a point.
No matter how a character is designed, it's the observer who chooses to obsess over it.
We need X-2!!! Come on Monolith!
@Einherjar Oh don't be silly. The proportions are so wild combined with the baby faces that it's meant to emphasize just what it means to. Otherwise why even draw them so exaggerated like this? You could draw in a more normal style and be done with it and no one would say a word because nothing would be emphasized. That was not the approach here. Clearly.
The Switch's best exclusive right here. With Torna added in too, it was just amazing.
Also, lol, people will get offended at anything, won't they?
I'm playing it now. Somehow the camera seems much much more temperamental in this game than the other one. Or is it that I need to watch the combat more carefully in order to time my attacks properly - and the camera makes that impossible? Anyway, it's a bit annoying.
One of the worst sequels in gaming.
It took all the JRPG tropes that the first game discarded in the name of progress (backtracking for sidequests, crafting, god-awful fan service) and rode roughshod over it.
I nearly started to like Torna but then Mythra the petulant child shows up again. No thanks.
Easily still the best game on the Switch. The only other contender is the first game.
As for X, I've tried a couple of times but it just doesn't click. Gave up around 10 hours in. Perhaps I will try again one day, but the fact the story isn't given centre stage as it is in these two games puts me off.
Great game and loge the fanservice, personaly I would gladly take more of it. And the creators are naturally totally free to add as much fanservice they want! The game is awsome.
I played XC2 very close to release date, as I loved Xenoblade Chronicles X on Wii U. Got Torna as soon as it was released as well!
I love this game! Recommended to a friend and he also enjoy it a lot. When XC DE was announced I got really excited to finally be able to play the first XC, as the majority of comments stated that it was the best in the series. It does have a "darker" ambiance and great characters, but I enjoyed XC2 way more, mainly due to its combat system and music.
@mcdreamer I would say to try it again, yeah! Story is the the central piece, but I did find it interesting. Plus, I find that the sense of exploration and marvel over ingame zones is superior than in the other two games.
Great game, one od the reasons why I got Switch in the first place. Still has the highest number of hours on my game list, with Ring Fit in second place.
@Lugazz From what I saw it looked like the story was interesting, even if exploration is really the focus of the game. I think I made it to around chapter 5. Perhaps if I push on until I get a skell I would enjoy the exploration more.
Just makes me smile
I played a couple of hours of 2 about a year ago. It didn't grab me like 1. The world/characters/voice acting/character designs are all better in 1 IMO. I'll give it another try next year.
As everyone screams XC3! I would like to remind you the good and bad news.
Bad - We are not getting XC3 for a very long time
Good - Because Monolith is making BOTW 2
One of the bests experiences in my gaming life and one of my personal best games! 👌🔝
I have to admit I didn't like the game that much on my first playthrough and didn't even finish it. However, on the second playthrough I absolutely loved it and couldn't put it down. Spent nearly 200 hours on it.
Wonderful game once you can look past the anime style.
I see the fandom's trademark perverts with Freudian complaints about character designs are already here.😏 Anyway, happy anniversary to XC2! I'm not remotely done with it even after approaching 200 hours of playtime myself ( which, mind you, is the main game in early chapter 8, no Torna prequel on the horizon yet), and it's been a fantastic ride. An all-time best in the genre, just like the first game.
So like, the dude is literally an erotic manga artist, and XB2 undeniably has its fair share of fan service. Whether that’s a positive or a negative will depend on the consumer, but let’s not beat around the bush: the fan service is absolutely there and not just cooked up in people’s overactive imaginations.
Incidentally, if you do want to see bushes being beaten by bulging bodily bits then this chap’s collected works are probably not a bad place to start.
But bad puns aside, if you’ve employed a guy who draws sexy cartoons for a living to design your characters, it’s not unreasonable for some players to complain that the characters resemble sexy cartoons. But then, it’s also not unreasonable for some people to be thrilled about the sexy cartoons, because lots of people like sexy cartoons, which is presumably why sexy cartoons continue to be drawn.
@Kirby_Girl Again, and you are the one obsessing over it.
Is shirtless, muscle packed Zeke distracting? Are Nomura's perfect pretty boy antagonist beefcake's in skintight bodysuits distracting?
And it's also not Nia the cat girl, Poppy the maid / idol, Pandoria the nerd, Morag in her military uniform or any other fetishy trope that's distracting, nope, it's always just the boobs.
Sounds a tad misogynistic if you ask me...
And if you're not at work, look up Pyra/Mythra cosplay, it shows that the in game designs are pretty tame in comparison...
My point is: Criticism about "oversexualisation" is all well and good and should definitely be brought up.
But it's always brought up one dimensional and shallow.
There are plenty of fetishized character design tropes to be found here among both the men and women, but it's always "eww, boobs" that gets pointed out.
And i stand by it, if that's the only thing you notice, focus on and get distracted by, it might be you who has an issue with the female form, not with oversexualized character designs in general, because there are plenty other examples around.
@Einherjar This response is so ridiculous. This isn't a drawing of the female form and its not actually sexist to notice the sexism in a CLEARLY overly sexualized design lmao. God. "WHAT IF YOU ARE ACTUALLY THE SEXIST ONE FOR SAYING ANYTHING ABOUT AN OBVIOUS ANIME TIDDIES DRAWING CLEARLY DRAWN FOR BONERS. HUH!?". lol. Again If this artist wanted to draw the female form he would have drawn a less ridiculous looking character and no one would care. This tactic of faux feminism sex positivity is silly. A real laugh here.
@Kirby_Girl "It's OK when we do it! It's totally not X when we point out X first!" A true classic
Again, only thing left to say is: Please get in contract with certain cosplayers and tell them about their "ridiculous" bodies because it clearly isn't the female form if the council of totally not sexism isn't greenlighting it
And there are plenty people who already don't care about it.
Believe it or not, there are people out there able to look at everything else on the screen besides those dastardly scary "anime tiddies meant for boners". It's shocking, i know.
But oh well, you do you, there are far more important things to do and care about than scary videogame hip-to-boob ratios.
Hope you have a great day. I have to find out who lost my delivery... sigh I'd much rather stay here and bicker on xD
@Kirby_Girl I totally get your criticism, and truly valid. Of course the characters were designed to have this sexy appeal. But @Einherjar is also completely right. A woman with "big bewbs" is not the correct portrait of females, but a super fit 6-pack perfect hair dude is ok to portray males?
@Einherjar Thanks, SIR. Thanks for lesson on female form and the idea that it was I who was the sexist all along for acknowledging fanservice. LOL As someone with big boobs, this whole exchange was hilarious.
@Lugazz very few people have baby faces, with TINY waists and HUUUUUUUGE boobs. Not saying some folks don't look close to this like some celebrities but eh. I have seen guys who are big or have muscle though because of work out culture, etc. Men who are usually drawn this way aren't drawn like this to be sexual nor are drawn with huge balls and cocks that have major jiggle physics. They're drawn to represent strength and heroism. Batman, Superman, etc were the stars of children's comics and the fantasy of boys who wanted to grow up to be strong. It doesn't have the same vibe as anime tiddy drawings from anime which itself is a media that often incorporates fanservice. Something that is well known and even a common joke even with anime fans. Anyway, false equivalency. These things have already been addressed by feminists too. Someone always brings up WHAT ABOUT SIX PACKS and no one sees batman is like "Wow what fanservice." They think "This dude is big enough to knock the Joker out. He's not posed in a T&A pose, the camera isn't panning over his junk every other moment, his privates or personal parts aren't emphasized like crazy, etc".
Look I get this game is drawn for sexual appeal. That's fine then. I don't think it looks sexy personally (preference) but then just say you like anime tiddies instead of the ridiculous idea that noticing it is THE REAL SEXISM. It's silly. That's what some folks were doing in the comments so I can't help but roll my eyes. If you like the designs cause you think these weird anime ladies look great then that's personal lol. That's all. I just don't like the faux enlightment. You like anime ladies, say you like anime ladies. I won't respond to that. Says enough on it's own.
@Liam_Doolan "That's not to say the developers have forgotten about the second game, though."
By "second game" you mean Xenoblade Chronicles X, right??? Or does the 'X' mean it's the tenth game in the series? I never really figured out how it works.
Maybe artists shouldn't have to cater to your delicate sensibilities when it comes to what a female super hero should look like? While we're at it maybe male super heroes shouldn't have unrealistic arms, chests and abs, because fEeLiNgS. It's a literal fantasy. If you don't like it don't engage with the product.
EDIT: Just going to add in, for maximum hot take exposure, the first time I played Xenoblade 1 was with the definitive edition's release, and after 10 years of hearing how great the story was, I was HUGELY let down. A party full of characters with virtually no character growth. Does Melia even talk after her chapter? Shulk is the only character whose motivations ever even shift, and his solution is to do the EXACT SAME THING HE WAS GOING TO DO ORIGINALLY. Effs in the chat. Every main character in Xenoblade 2 goes through events that change their perspective (except for Tora, but see Poppi), and the entire world concept/design was leagues beyond what XC1 attempted. /hottake
@Octorok385 Maybe artists should stop drawing 9-year old faces on mature, adult bodies. They look like children with implants.
@TG16_IS_BAE Using anime as a reference to judge age is beyond nonsensical. Why not criticize Princess Peach for the same thing? Because it's pointless. If you don't like it, no one is forcing you to play the game.
@Kirby_Girl Of course, the design is made to call attention of a target public, whatever the style may be. I totally agree that male heroes are most drawn in a way that evoke "damn this guys is strong" than anything else. But for sure some people do think "whoa this dude is HOT!" when seeing big muscles, etc. I would say that the main difference is how each part of the body is sexualized overall. I do not 'defend' such portrayal, nor will I attack a design of a fictional character, something an artist decided to express.
And no need to start trying to get offensive.
@Octorok385 Peach is NEVER sexualized by Nintendo, could you have at least pulled something a little less lazy?
Anime is a genre, and what on earth are you talking about? Age is depicted in all its forms in the genre. When it’s done well, it’s part of the art form. But, the other part of the art form is appealing to a sexually repressed culture, so they draw huge boobs on children.
It’s sick that they do it, sick that you defend it so hard. You turned on by little kids or something?
In 1863, Alexandre Cabanel presented The Birth of Venus ( https://eclecticlightdotcom.files.wordpress.com/2018/07/cabanelbirthvenus.jpg )
I don't know if at the time it was criticized for portraying a woman beyong real standards, or of it being over-sexualized. Very clear skin, no body hair, volouptous body curves, long hair... That's how the artist decided to present a fictional character. We may agree with it or not. And of course the "mindset" changed from that time to today.
@TG16_IS_BAE What are you even talking about? Is your theory that Xenoblade 2 is some kind of pedophilia thing? You seem to be the one digging for this stuff. My point was that the character designer can make whatever he wants, and if you're weirded out by it you can choose not to engage.
@Lugazz Here's something for you. I have no problem with this painting. Her proportions aren't wild and the artstyle a lot nicer obviously lol. Her curves aren't unrealistic at all lol. Long hair. I've had long hair, and her being hairless is a fine. Her having hair would be fine too. I don't have a problem with nudity. That wasn't the issue lol.
@Lugazz That was probably drawn from a real model exactly in that pose, her proportions are as realistic as possible, and the skin tone is probably the only thing that they may have taken liberty with. Are you really putting a classic piece of art next to a anime drawing that appeals to pedophiles?
@Octorok385 Nobody is talking about the game, but the picture as depicted in the article. Stop defending pedophile drawings.
@TG16_IS_BAE I'm very confused as to what aspect of this drawing makes you think these characters are children. Large eyes? Small nose? All typical anime features, hence my reference to Peach, whose face is just as ageless.
@Octorok385 You’re right, you are confused. Stop trying to justify this sick portrayal of a child’s face.
@Einherjar Its not the design but how they did like 4 scenes that went on too long commenting on the designs in an immature and annoying way. I actually love the design mostly for the color scheme but it's the games self commentary that's annoying not the designs. I just felt the zekrnator and jokes like that are part of the charm of the game while the jokes made about mostly mythra and pyra were just trying to get laughs out of anime fans who love that stuff. It's funny because i love their character arc and think it's the highlight of the game besides Jin and haze and that absolutely fantastic combat. It's just feels like the games OWN dialogue objectifies them instead of maybe having jokes that fit in with zekinator and stuff it just felt tacked on and like it didn't belong with the charm of the other characters nor the story as a whole so it just feels like it didn't quite belong in the game at all. Again I like these designs but it's like c'mon you don't need to bring revealing clothing and such up in dialogue in multiple 4 minute cutscenes. That's where I think it detracts when it is not charming like the other jokes the game makes. I actually love this game but if I could change one thing it would just cut out these few cutscenes. It just doesn't contribute to the charm of any character, and doesn't add to the character of pyra or mythra with the dialogue and it just detracts most for feeling like such a waste of time when I could be learning story or learning more about any character or battling monsters.
@SMUGSLOTH69 No they are not but there is more to it.
@TG16_IS_BAE I think you're pretty clearly looking for something that isn't there. I'm sorry things can't exist without people like you trying to take them into weird directions.
@Einherjar This.
@TG16_IS_BAE this is my opinion you are free to disagree but the point of the drawing and their designs is to bring out the color scheme of the clothing on them which is awesome with the red and green and white and just a nice drawing of the character. The problem isn't the drawing it'd just the cool space people from the cool sci fi game. The problem is people who decide to see it in a way that is not cool. Again, the people viewing it like that are at fault not this artist who was just making what is in my opinion a great drawing of some cool character designs I especially like how they have the m_____ (not spoiling the game haha) on them which just makes the design so cool to me. Yes it is wrong to view them the way they are saying, but what I'm saying is a lot of people just like the character for the story and coolness of the design not... That...
@Ghostchip Thing is, I’ve seen in-game graphics, and they don’t look that sexualized. The drawing is really bad, you can disagree but I would suggest getting your eyes checked in the process.
@Kirby_Girl @TG16_IS_BAE I agree that the artstyle is very nice, and that probably he had a real model posing. But you can't say that the painting does not express sexuality intentionaly, and I would bet it was pretty much distant from the average female human body at the time. Again, it all comes down to how the artist decided to portay a fictional character. If you don't like that painting (which deserves praise in my opinion), you won't give it a second glance.
In my head, I never saw Pyra/Mythra as children, even though the former does have more childish-like facial traits. And it's funny to see how one quickly gets attacked just by trying to go in a more "neutral" approach lol
@Lugazz I’m talking about my strong dislike for how anime constantly sexualizes children, and you bring classic art depicting an adult to the conversation.
@TG16_IS_BAE ehhhh I'd argue it's the games dialogue on them that is worse just for being annoying and catering to anime fans with it mentioning revealing clothing in dumb cutscenes like 5 times and that's dialogue Its like why when xc1 was nothing like anime in my opinion. Like I said in my opinion drawings like this are not terrible I mean you have to realize that it isn't overly noticeable unless you are focused on only looking for it. Again this is just my opinion no need to insult my vision although I don't see how that's insulting lol. The thing is this isn't ridiculous art because I'm not looking at it from a sexual point of view I'm looking at it from a I think the character had a great arc kind of view. I agree it is sexualized but not to the point of if you aren't looking for it you won't care I mean I'm a straight male who played this game and saw a whole bunch of the concept art and not once did I even think about sexual stuff I just like the characters design as 2 halves of the same personality kind of thing. Funny thing is I agree I hate when characters are over sexualized in media but if it isn't thrown in your face I don't notice this drawing does not throw it in my face I didn't even think about it until the comments section but the game just keeps talking about it like it's the point of the game... Not a fan of that...
This artwork is exactly why I will not be playing this game. She has the face of an 11 year old, the breasts of a porn star, and the waist line of someone struggling with anorexia.
@Lugazz there's a way to express sexuality and there's a way to express sexuality. Not sure why context is lost here. Someone who shows appreciation by actually studying the real form and doing it justice in a classy sense such as a painting is ART and someone doing it in a ridiculous anime style with a way more inhuman take on the form in hopes to sell a game to otakus who then might purchase figures and merchandise is not art but fan service and for capital.
@hdavid5 that's why I'm annoyed about the game design... The game before it xc1 you should play instead because this game is actually an oddity as it is not the focus of the game at all it just threw this in for no reason and it kind of annoys me because people like you who don't like the sexual designs (I only played because of a friends insistence I don't like the way they are sexualized ether) won't experience a fantastic game that doesn't focus on this save for a few very cringy cutscenes I hate with a passion. Just play xc1 first it doesn't have these designs and is a better game anyway
Now draw them baking brownies.
@Ghostchip Yes, I like the artwork better for XC1. I think I will give XC1 a try soon.
@Ghostchip I’m having a conversation about the drawing at the top of the article. Message me when you want to talk about that, and not the game itself.
@Ghostchip oh ok Thx
@hdavid5 if you like it don't count out xc2 Jin is the literal best xenoblade character so far but I haven't finished 1 so we will se
@TG16_IS_BAE I don't think you understand my point but that's fine I find it funny we mostly agree yet we are arguing haha it's fine believe what you wish
Geez, a lot of people here are all in a tizzy over drawings
Didn't like it as much as the first game (especially after playing the joyous remaster) but still a great game in its own right. Interesting art
@Anri02 people just can't appreciate a good drawing without sexualizijg it... Sigh... It's a good drawing that you should just appreciate for being good instead of arguing about how it's sexual when some people don't even notice that
@Ghostchip You’re good, I just get tired of having to defend the idea that child depictions of sexuality is bad. I got cranky : ) not your fault!
@Kirby_Girl @TG16_IS_BAE The illustrator for Pyra/Mythra exaggerated in their designs. It is too much. Do people buy merch and stuff because of it? Yes. Does it prevents me from enjoying the game? No.
I guess you know, but there are some stereotypes in looks like "femme fatale" (Bayonetta) and "cute girl" (Pyra). There is a freedom in art and each person has hers/his preference. And of course child sexualisation is bad! LOL
Just try to avoid behaving like "he does not completely gree with me so his is an pervert/pedophile" etc, and don't use the same argument as "hard rock is bad because it leads to drugs"
Have a great weekend and take care
@Lugazz I made no comment on the gameplay itself or personally called you a pedo so OKAY. I just think folks in the comment section are ridiculous trying to be woke for liking anime tiddies which is hilarious. Now that we agree its service some folks enjoy we can all move on with out the cornball idea that you guys have reached the next level for being attractive to this junk.
@Ghostchip if ppl didn't notice it there would be no comments about it so, wrong. The comment section alone proves ppl notice it.
One of the best games ever.
@Kirby_Girl sigh all I'm saying is thats not all people should look at in this picture it's a good drawing and I didn't notice it maybe you did just appreciate it for being a good drawing and of you care about it that much than dog on it in the comments I just think that it should also be appreciated as a pretty good drawing besides that
Didn't enjoy the game so much, but I enjoy the character designs a lot. Pyra especially.
It was the game that got me into the series. Now that I've played XBC1, I can definitely say that I prefer it over 2, but it still holds a very special place in my heart.
One of the few that think xb2 is way better than the original. I just thought the characters were way more endearing and it didn't drag quite as long.
@Shepdawg1 I thought the story was decent enough, though I agree not as good as XC1. I played this game through twice because I liked the story so much. But the gameplay really bothered me, specifically the battle mechanics. I greatly prefer the real-time combat in XC1 to that of 2, mainly because the first game features that lovely battle palette with more than 3 arts. XC2's combat played more like a rhythm game, and the characters stop auto-attacking when the player moves them, a bizarre feature in a game in which some of the arts have effects based on the character's position relative to the enemy. In XC1, the characters keep auto-attacking while the player moves them around the enemy, thus not punishing the player for taking advantage of the position-specific effects of the arts in the game.
One of my favorite switch games. I prefer it also to xbc1 and xbcx, but it had some dumb design decisions like the random blade system.
I have yet to play torna.
Average game. The anime trash ruined it.
My favorite game this decade and the only rpg I've done a full New Game + run of.
Gotta say this is one of my favourite games ever. It took me a while to get into, but once I was I was hooked.
@Kirby_Girl The fact that you see someone prompting you to step out of yourself and consider that you could be wrong as a joke isn't flattering. The PROPORTIONS battle cry is so overdone despite never having any weight in the first place. It's an anime styled game and even then, it's far from standout lol. Even in the franchise. There are real, normal girls who have bodies even more "unreal" to use your terminology lol, than theirs and would call bs on everything you've said. I don't know how long you guys plan to hold on to the belief that everyone lives under a rock and expect everyone to think you're right because like every other internet warrior, you go online and say "I have big boob", but the rest of us who have our own bodies and/or see a variety of normal people all the time aren't exactly horrified by the design of Pyra of all characters and played the game without being perpetually unsettled, as if that reflects well on you as anything but an overemotional internet personality. It's called being an adult. You might not like the design but get real lmao. You'd think that you were watching some rail thin hooker within bolted on FFFs strip nude on the Teletubbies.
@Angelic_Lapras_King I think we have some stock here in my country left. Want tonresrrve a copy? i think I can send some over to yours.
Oh wow, gotta say that Pyra looks so dreamy in this pic. Gotta appreciate the artist for stuff like this.
@Kirby_Girl "The proportions are so wild combined with the baby faces"
There's literally loads of female models, especially from Asian countries, like Japan, China, South Korea, etc, but also Russia, and loads of European countries, with big breasts, thin waists and baby faces. That said, Anime faces are stylised and not photorealistic; hence the large eyes, almost non-existance nose, etc.
Loved most of the game but hated the pervy character design
What a coincidence. Today a copy of Torna - Golden Country was delivered to me. I really love XCHX 2. Frankly? It's the best Xenoblade game.
