These launch titles are old enough to be declared classics.

This is pure hypocrisy! Nintendo's willing to sue anyone for producing a game that might contain elements of their famous franchises (i.e. Palworld), but won't fight against clear scams like this, nay, deliberately sell said scams on the eShop! It makes my blood boil! As long as it doesn't hurt Nintendo's revenue, they're fine with it, and will even encourage it!

I'm starting to see where Big N got their "Sue them all" mentality. Like an abused child grows up to be the abuser. It's a viscous cycle.

Nintendo sues ya if you say their name out loud. On that note, I've found 90% of emulators (since they're free) are mainly about game preservation, not making money. Although, I doubt that with this one, considering the Switch is still active and games are still available. I tend to get more critical when Big N goes after obscure games emulated from ancient consoles.

Played a couple hours this morning. It's nothing spectacular, but it's a typical LEGO game, with the usual humor, and as a Horizon fan, I'm loving the new twist LEGO gives it, and Aloy's new zippy attitude cracks me up. It's basically what I expected, so if you know LEGO games, and know Horizons, you know what you're getting. I think 7/10 pretty fair.

The IGN critic said he felt the game "disrespected his time." IGN disrespects ours with their mainstream bias. I'd like to tell them to do something that would get me banned, so I'll hold my tongue.

Eh, this game is less than 10 years old. Why remaster it?

Yeah, at this point it's just for nostalgia and preservation purposes. 4's great, 5 turned into TR4 Gold, and we don't talk about AoD. They had their moments, but it would take a complete reboot from the ground up to make them playable.

Aside from, of course, EoW, the new Shrek DLC for Powerwash Simulator just dropped, so I'll be busy with that. I just finished Emio (crazy ending btw), but I'll be cleaning up my backlog, including the Hyrule Warriors (both episodes) and the Ace Attorney series.

I think the overall assessment (and my personal opinion) is that it's cute, useful, totally Nintendo, but ridiculously overpriced. If it comes down in the future, I might pick one up.

Cute. Might work as a gift, or just a collector's item.

While I believe this is good, it's kinda ironic coming from a state that says, "You will own nothing and be happy."

I seriously don't get the hate around artists using AI. That's like hating on a writer for using a word processor instead of a pen and paper. It's a tool. It quickens the process. And with games getting bigger and more expensive, AI can cut down on that.

Regardless of what people think about AI, this a clear attack on freedom of speech, not copyrights. It's all fun and games until they come for what you value. It's a dangerous, slippery slope.

At this point, I've lost all faint in any Switch successor. I won't believe it until I'm holding it in my hand.

My oldest daughter was born right before this was first announced. She turns 18 next year. Imagine being in development for less time than a game.

Welp. Guess we'll just have to rely on time-travelers then.

It will have been longer since the original DKC:R when it re-releases next year than between the previous DKC instalment in the 90's and when DKC:R originally released. It is essentially a retro now. I'm tired of these ancient games getting released at modern day prices. It better be loaded to the gills with bonuses.

Well, that's basically what I thought of the first one. It was chill, but not much else. No real adventure, but if you're looking for something to play in bed before you fall asleep, it sounds about right.

But we still get Skibidi Toilet, right?

If you haven't played it yet, I do recommend it. It may be short, but it's an intriguing puzzle adventure with a bit of a creepy, dystopian plot. I'm hoping the sequel, Deliver Us Mars, shows up on the next console. It's longer and deeper in a Portal/Portal 2 ratio. It also ended on a cliffhanger, insinuating a third one might be coming.

Welp... There's a few in my library you missed, but I wouldn't call them "gems." You got most of my favs. Can't think of anything I'm head-over-heels for that you haven't covered.

Not gonna lie. I know Nintendo's having a rough year and just threw this out for us. I was not expecting anything. Silksong never crossed my mind once. That said...
The Little Cat game looked alright. Like a cross between Stray and Untitled Goose. I've played Stitch on my iPad, big fan. Totally chill game. Love it. Anything from Wayforward is almost guaranteed solid. Love anything with "Steamworld" in the title. So, from what looks to be a dry year, this may keep us from getting too thirsty.

Take any job/chore, take the tediousness out, twist it a little to focus on the fun, and BOOM! Hit game. Dishwasher Simulator. Shopping Cart Wrangler. Barcode Cowboy. There's endless ideas. Now if you'll pardon me, I got to get back to Ace Attorney.

From the original Mario Bros to Lawn Mower Simulator. Root Beer Tapper to Crazy Taxi. It's amazing how addictive games based on jobs can be.

I got addicted to Ultrahand.
