It’s not a bad demo - I got a good sense of the exploration, movement and few other aspects, but I’m really disappointed there was no boss fight. Otherwise it’s about good enough to pre-order

I’ve heard Steam Deck doesn’t even run Knight well during the Batmobile sections, so I’m expecting some serious hiccups or lowered graphics in those sections. Doesn’t mean it won’t be fun tho

I've played like 6 or 7 hours, so I don't feel like I can comment much yet but I am liking it quite a bit. I never played the first but I don't think I will based on comments friends and others have made comparing the two

I’ll still hold out for a sale for them, but if the only game I ever get on 3DS is Persona Q2 That’ll still keep me for awhile.

@ThorsHammer I got my PSVR 2 as well this week. Village is even better than RE7 in VR so far.

Im loving Horizon even though my arms kinda get tired during combat. I love the up close details — even just seeing Aloy up close is impressive.

I bought a cheap $25 copy of GT7 but then they canceled my order so I haven’t gotten that any other way yet. Im excited to try that later on. Instead I picked up What the Bat? Since I loved their first game on Apple Arcade so much

My PSVR2 headset arrived this week and I’ve tried out some of that. (It’s amazing) My error priced code for Octopath 2 also came out (I paid $28 on humble bundle) and I’m trying to finish Kirby Planet Robobot.

I downloaded the demo but my switch takes low priority lately, so I haven’t even tried it out yet. I kind of doubt I’m gonna get this unless I’m buying it on heavy discount from some local seller cuz I just don’t find Kirby games that good of a value.

@Tourtus one can hope, but if not, Ive already got the biggest titles I was hoping to play.

I got a lot of great local and eBay deals on cartridges and the only game I needed to get digitally was Fire Emblem Fates + the dlc

Some games I'll need to look into. Meanwhile, one of my fave games is missing simply because Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward is not on Switch. Worth playing on gamepass or 3DS or Vita though.

I usually get discounts on my eshop credit, like 20% off, so getting two games for $40 each instead of $60 each is a major deal

I've only managed to finished True Colors and Tell Me Why and I really didn't love either of them. I feel kinda tricked by people into trying them, but based on scores for them, I think Life is Strange 1 is the one I should try if I really wanna give them one final shot at liking them.

For other consoles, I'd say the theme was "Polished Niche" where we got Immortality, Elden Ring, GoW Ragnarok, and Pentiment which were all 10/10 amazing but maybe for more niche audiences. (I'll probably get backlash that GoW Ragnarok is not niche, but with how many times I heard people call it a cut scene with some occasional play, it seems like there are a lot of people out there who don't like that kind of game). But for Nintendo, the theme was buffet (for all the good and bad that brings). Some of it was unoptimized (Bayo 3, Pokemon Arceus & S/V) and some was polished (Live a Live, Mario & Rabbids 2, XC3), but there was something for everyone

Finished the platinum on God of War Ragnarok, so I think I’ll play some return to monkey island

I’m in a “family of 8” so we all just pay $10 a year. At that price it’s worth it to play N64 games and get free dlc

Seems like the type of game they would want to release right after a showcase of some sort - whether on Xbox or Switch, and I’m looking forward to it. Been saving aside some Microsoft points for just this purpose.

Looking forward to this game — I won’t be buying the physical copy — but looking forward to spending my Microsoft points on something finally.

Suda51 is a dev I used to think I liked as a teen. In hindsight, I liked the gore and sensual ladies, but the gameplay of many of them just doesn’t do it for me 15 yrs later. However, I’ve never written him off as a developer and I will look into whatever he makes next.

@Rob3008 I thought 3DS was region locked but DS was not.

@JeanPaul it’s an 8/10 for me. I think it has good courses, especially with the updates they did to add more for free. I think the campaign and multiplayer is better than Mario Tennis which I played when it was free for a week.

I’ve been really impressed with Mario Golf on switch, so I think I’ll get this one digital as well. I have too many cartridges as is to want another one to switch out

I wonder if they’ll be more cautious with stretch goals this time around. I heard rumors that they were restricted to finishing their Shovel Knight goals even after sales went down quite a bit

I wanted to get this on switch, but then after all the bugs, I realized I could just play the iPad ports for $5-7 each. I’m enjoying San Andreas on iPad just fine

I’m bouncing between P4 Golden on Vita, P5R on PS5 and PQ2 on 3DS at the moment. I definitely like the mainline games best, and I like 5 best. Would definitely prefer that one on switch.

Should’ve tried to convince the Nintendo fan to get PS+. Imo PS+ is the best of the online subscription models. (Gamepass Ultimate, which comes with XBL Gold is a more premium service and costs even more, but I’m not counting it, just XBL Gold, PS+ and NSO). XBL Gold has had pretty disappointing games for many years. Switch Online doesn’t even give us regularly scheduled games, but has some amazing ones from time to time. PS+ actually gets a lot of new titles and newish games. Last year users got FF7 remake, this year they got Persona 5 Strikers among other games.

Why are people 100%ing games they don’t wanna play anymore? I always feel like I’m gonna comb every Tomb Raider game but after I beat the final boss, my desire to play anymore completely ceases and I find something else.

A big year for strategy games. I think we’ll also hear about a new Fire Emblem too. Zelda will be a must buy, but I’m gonna have to wait for reviews on almost anything else

Im playing multiple Persona games at once. Q2 on my 3DS when I’m not busy at work and P5 Royal on my PS5. I might switch to playing P5R all the time if I just take the time to set up remote play from work as well.

Fell back into Hades again between my save on switch and Xbox (too bad there isn’t cross saves between the two). And then I’m playing GTA San Andreas on my iPad since it was cheaper than buying that buggy collection.

I decided to just buy and play them on iPad instead of console. Much cheaper and Idc how they look on there.

It's not going to stop me from playing them all, and I'll probably just go full digital instead since the cart basically won't be worth having.

I might've been able to be persuaded to get this game to play with friends, but none of them got it, so it makes it all the easier to avoid supporting Activision / Bizzard.

Still working my way through Deathloop and Psychonauts 2, so I’m gonna hold off since nothing is too good to pass up right now

I have a hard time shelling out full price for party games since I don’t get to play them very often and by the time we get around to it a second time, everyone has something else they wanna play instead. $30 would be the sweet spot for myself

I just tried this game out on some online emulator site. I only played like 2-3 levels, but having it on my switch would be a lot of fun. Hoping it’s a $20 digital title.

I just replayed MGS thanks to GoG but I would welcome remakes of any of the games. Personally, I’d like to see a remake of the original two Metal Gear games and the Gameboy Color game, MGS Ghost Babel, to see them in 3D.

Playing Ghost of Tsushima on PS5 and Murder by Numbers on Switch. I don’t mind the format of the game, but I find the woke agenda annoying and out of place for something set in the 90s.

doom 2016 is an incredible game — probably my favorite FPS ever— but I think it’s odd that that game is still $30 on discount after 3+ years on switch. I picked it up for $20 in late 2016 on PS4 and I think it should at least be cheaper than Doom Eternal which is much newer.

I’m curious about playing this one, but I know that I’m easily worn down by JRPGs. I never finished persona 5, Xenoblade 1 or 2, FF7 Remake or Dragon Quest XI. It was a miracle that I finished Yakuza: Like a Dragon. So while my wallet and heart are open to playing this, my backlog of JRPGs are all rumbling saying they want me to finish them first.

@backlogrob yakuza 7 was my first foray into the series and I’m really considering going through the lot of them, especially since Like a Dragon had several callbacks to previous ones I found out.

Finished Yakuza Like A Dragon today, so I think I’ll keep it chill with some online games like Battlefront 2 with friends. Maybe some Mario 3D World if I’m watching something mindless.

I enjoy the big game conferences — it’s a hyper injection of cool gaming news, but spread out news, like last year, wasn’t bad either. I don’t think these developers need to pay 6 figure sums for a bit of retail space when they can deliver the news in a pre-recorded video, so I’m predicting the end of E3. Sony dropped out two years ago, EA and Microsoft have their own buildings, Bethesda got bought by Microsoft, so it really just leaves Nintendo, Ubisoft and Square Enix but I think they’ll just opt to leave as well.

Bring back the sprites!
