From what this quote reads like, it just seems like he's guessing based off the fact Arena is releasing. I could say the exact thing about 3. Does that make me a leaker?

I agree with everyone else, the fact that this isn't on the ps4 or 5, is making me doubt its legitimacy.

This is speculation at best. Persona 5 Strikers didn't indicate that the original P5 would be on Switch, so why should P4AU indicate anything?

It would make sense for P4G to be on Switch considering that P4Arena is coming to Switch. It would also make sense for P5 to be on Switch considering that P5Strikers is on Switch, but here we are.

I think this guy is full of ***** and is just going off the website leak, where if you changed the URL of the P4AU website to include /v2, it would include a midnight channel edition for Switch and PS4. I believe the website leak, but not this guy.

Really hope this is true. Would be an easy double dip, my favorite game on Vita by a wide margin.

This is a great game but this is hardly a rumour. This is one guy known for saying nonsense ‘predicting’ it.

Despite me never playing a Persona game, I will be getting Arena Ultimax for purely 2D fighting action.

Also, Zippo actually said this first. He was the one who said Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden will be multi-platform.

@DomGC I don't think people know what's a rumor and what's speculation anymore with Insiders. They think everything an insider says now is a rumor.

Oh yay more rumours and speculations from so called insiders. I’ll wait until it’s officially revealed before I believe any of this. Until then, I’ll continue playing on the PC.

@Bl4ckb100d I did get my Vita for differetn reasons, but I would agree this game was worth getting a Vita if someone wanted to.

Played it twice on Vita and once on PC, not bothering about the Switch, got the game enough times.

I feel like I've already ran through the game too many times to care about a switch version. Now if they released an updated Persona 3....

Seeing as I no longer own a Vita, I’d buy P4G again on Switch in a heartbeat.

I never finished P4 vanilla, but would consider restarting the game with Golden. Whether I have the 100 hours to spare is my first question, and my second question is how much will it cost? I'm not paying full or close to full MSRP like Nocturne HD released at, especially not when it dropped on Steam for $20.

P4 is a great game. Ill6 be happy to see more people enjoy Persona.

Sega, we're done with exclusivity deals. It's getting quite abusive at this point. Release the rest of the SMT games onto PlayStation 4 and 5, and in turn, release the rest of the Persona games onto the Switch. There's no need to complicate the relationship with Nintendo, especially since they were the ones who funded for Bayonetta 3 AND brought Genesis to NSO with special Bluetooth controllers.

Playing Devil Survivor on the 3ds once I finish it I'll play the sequel.
And after that Dragon Quest 7 and 8 which are also on the 3ds.

Key word here is "Prediction" a prediction isn't a rumour.
You guys might as well present the Gamexplain predictions they do before Directs as rumours too.

@FragRed only way I would sort of or MAYBE believe this if there was a rating leak of P4G for Switch from the Australian Classification Board or the ESRB or CERO.

I would believe that because ratings are almost always true and the game gets released. Lego Marvel Superhero’s 1 and Castlevania Advance Collection were leaked by rating boards before it got released and it turns out those two games did exist after all

@UglyCasanova It's mostly because he's just guessing or speculating, but then people always turn it into a rumor, and slap him with the "Insider" badge.

I genuinely believe what Nate the Hate says shouldn't be reported on. They do not have a great track record when it comes to this stuff.

While everyone was (and is) clamoring for Persona 5 on Switch, I'm personally hoping for Persona 4 on Switch.

I've always wanted to play it after watching Matt and Pat from Two Best Friends Play (and their MLP version, Two Best Sisters Play, which used clips from the anime, which I also want to watch).

So if this rumor is true, I'll definitely pick it up.

Persona 4 Golden on the Switch would be amazing, though. I haven't been able to play it but have been wanting to forever. My PC is so old and runs on Windows 7 so even though it came out on Steam, I can't get it at this moment.

A Switch release would be perfect! But I'm not convinced from this.

Nates kinda the only one I believe out of the "leakers." I don't follow it religiously, but he's usually more right than wrong from what I recall.

It's a great game and I hope it's successful if it does come out - may lead to the rest of the series coming to switch.

Having said that, I'm happy with my playthrough and the relationships I made so I'm not sure I'll want to revisit it (and I really doubt I'd have the time either).

This would be epic! There's also that rumor of P3P getting Remastered as well. Any Persona on Switch is welcome because I'm absolutely loving my time with Strikers!

@anoyonmus There were two ratings leaks for Alan Wake Remastered on Switch back in the Fall so I'm still waiting on that. I'm guessing the next direct.

The fact that the PS Vita doesn't even had Persona 4 Arena is odd. You think that Sony getting the rights to the series back when Sega had not bought Atlus yet would guaranteed a slam dunk port of that for the failing handheld.

@JustMonika ratings are almost always true but a lot of times in ratings there are either no release dates or a wrong release date. But the game/port itself does exist though. Example would be Castlevania Advance Collection and Lego Marvel Super Heroes 1.

As for Alan Wake Remastered, I actually have no high hopes for it as it might be a cloud version most likely. But yeah, it would be at the next Direct most likely. Also if a P4G port or P3P or FES or whatever or a P5 port to Switch, a Nintendo Direct would be a good place to announce that sort of stuff as it is a HUGE announcement rather than a random trailer dropped.

i think he never said this.
anyway his track record is excellent he even "predicted" the nso expansion pass.
but you always have to differentiate what he is speculating and what he really leaks, since he often knows just details

@Arawn93 well he was not neccessarily wrong with that, since he never said that it will come out in 2021. also if you would listen to his podcast you would know that he was not very confident on that info anyway. but he has his sources for sure, he was too often right with very specific things. for example he leaked that quantic dream would publish a title on switch and with sea of solitude that happened shortly after.

Didn't a different rumour source list Persona 3 Portable as coming to all platforms Golden was ported to late in '22 or early '23?

As always I take no stock in rumor. Reminds me that I need to start SMT V soon though.

It is annoying that we have one Persona spin-off on Switch, another one on the way and two SMT games but not the core Persona games

I never get my hopes up with any upcoming Persona announcements anymore. It always ends up being about some concert being held in Japan or something.

It's a great game, but do yourself a favor and stay away from spoilers. There's a particular reveal that kills the entire story if you find out earlier.

If I worked at a games company I'd be "leaking" stuff to these folks all the time just to see how far it runs. By leaking I mean making stuff up.

Its a great game certainly worth having. I bought a Vita mainly to play this. Hope its 20 euro/dollars like Steam version.

@anoyonmus Alan Wake is 11 years old so I highly doubt it would be a cloud release.. hell I'd even bet it has a physical release as well. But we'll just have to wait and see.

I bought the Vita for the Persona series last year. I bought P3P literally the day before that rumour was mentioned on this site. This is really annoying. And my favourite was the 1st one anyway.

This deserves 60$ if it comes in physical version.

You KNOW this article is NOT a rumor. You KNOW that the quote you cite gives NO indication that Nate has insider info. You KNOW that from reading it, Nate does not insicate he has any source, but is merely speculating. The only mention of any rumour evidence/source is a throwaway link to another article in the last two lines.

@JustMonika we are in a world where Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and Kingdom Hearts 2.5 which were RELEASED ON PLAYSTATION 3 which the Switch is more powerful than and yet it is getting a cloud version.

So anything is possible

@DomGC truly, they have gone from inside leaks through informed source to pure congectures and opinions... Must be hard even for journalists to read anything other than the clickbait title before rephrasing. The most psychotic thing is still persona fans getting their hopes higher than the heavens for every single thing.

I’m bouncing between P4 Golden on Vita, P5R on PS5 and PQ2 on 3DS at the moment. I definitely like the mainline games best, and I like 5 best. Would definitely prefer that one on switch.

Anyways, there is also a rumor of persona 6 being ps5 exclusive. I guess Atlus maybe will port the old one but 5 and 6.

If you make up lots of rumours, some will come true.

Bought it on Vita ages ago, played for hours and once I got into the battles I remembered how much I suck at RPGs and went to turn the difficulty down to easy annnnnnnd you can’t. Can change it any time in the PC release apparently but no dice on Vita. Was really enjoying the story but that put a huge roadblock in the way for me so if it comes to Switch then I’ll buy it day one, been meaning to go back to it for a while.

I want all of the persona games other than 5 to get hd ports on switch, I personally believe that persona 5 wouldn’t work at all without removing many features and graphics
