$60 for those overpriced rechargeable NES controllers that didn’t work with anything except their NES games was bad. Nintendo shouldn’t be trying to entice people with hardware— entice us with some SNES or N64 games and better online or some curated free indies every month
I appreciated these back before I had a smart phone, but that was awhile ago. I prefer guides online like IGN or YouTube, and if I want a book with glossy pics of the game, I’d rather have an art book of it instead of a guide. I honestly can’t fathom how they stayed in business for so long.
I’ve heard good things about LoLo and Ninja Gaiden. I really don’t play any of these games tho. Playing a game online was pretty bad, so I only plan to play the games that are single player like Mario 3. Really wish Nintendo made their online a better overall experience
Since I’ve owned a Switch, I’ve pulled out my 3DS each summer while I rode the metro in France. I put 50-75 hrs into some games and then it goes away again because I prefer my Switch games. I really ought to finish Xenoblade 3DS and Majora’s Mask but I’d rather play something a bit more updated on my Switch
@Quincy just pretend it’s like PlayStation or Xbox where the bottom button is “accept” and the right button is “cancel”
It’s supposed to be the same control scheme as all the other platforms so you can switch between them all (just like fortnite or some of these other cross-platform games)
The eshop is a mess. I forget about games I want to play unless they’re at the forefront of my mind or unless they go on sale and I see them again. There are plenty of great AA or A level games, but I don’t like that many AAA titles on switch are last-gen ports. I hope we get more current gen games like Doom, Wolfenstein 2 and Vampyr
This looks like an ideal candidate to play one afternoon with siblings during thanksgiving or Christmas break, but not a game I’d like to own at all. So many games like Mario Tennis Aces, ARMS, and now this that I’ll just wait until they’re Nintendo Selects to pick them up.
If this game had released in summer, I would’ve picked it up in a heartbeat. Now I’m drowning in fall game releases and I can’t see myself picking this up anytime soon. I played through two difficulties as the Monk back on 360, so I know I have so many more characters to play as in this version still
Preordered this awhile back. Can’t wait!! I’m guessing they’ll introduce the secret single player mode as well as officially release the last of the character roster
Until the Sega AGES lineup, I’d never heard of this game except for Phantasy Star Online on GameCube. I’m not interested. I think if I want a turn based rpg, I’ll just replay Undertale again
I stopped playing almost immediately after I finished the main story. However, this past July I got back into it and collected nearly 400 moons (around 700ish currently) and loved it all. I loved the density of the amount of moons in a single world. After about 600 moons, the difficulty in finding moons dramatically goes up, so I think I’m sticking with around 700 and 45 hrs. Definitely one of the best Switch games
Hmm... maybe I should give this one a shot. I didn’t love V4’s demo, but I also didn’t think $60 was worth it. But a slightly rougher game for $20... maybe
All switch games should allow you to remap the controls. It would be so much friendlier. I wouldn’t change the controls for DS, since I played Bloodborne first, so playing it as is feels very natural, but if it was my first time with it, I can see the controls being annoying
I loved getting EGM and Nintendo Power every month for several years, but the games featured in magazines almost never surprise me now. The info is always a few weeks old by the time I get to reading it. I prefer websites
I don’t mind that Starlink has a download. I’ll likely wait for it to hit $30 like all other Ubisoft titles. And it’s no wonder Switch outsold the other two consoles— it’s got the Star fox content. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t that more story, not just characters switched around from the other versions?
One of my favorite PS2 games and was one of the few games we could openly play in front of my mom cuz MGS 2&3 showed cleavage and killing. (We never had a GTA game)
The last game I picked up from their reward program was Xenoblade 3DS last Halloween (or was it two halloween’s Ago?). I’m waiting to see if they’ll ever put Zero Escape Zero Time Dilemma on sale for 3DS because I’ve played just about everything else I’d want to on the 3DS
I don’t know why people haven’t at least added a 64gb card to their switch by day one. 128 and 200gb cards have hit as low as $35, so there’s not much reason not to get one just in case. I know people want everything on the cart, but that’s not gonna happen. Not everything’s included on PS4 or XB1 discs, so why expect Nintendo to provide something better?
I don’t think every game in VR is magical, but there are some really great experiences to be had when the right game is made for it. Resident Evil 7 was so good and scary for me. Getting my hand chainsawed off? Wow! Unreal. But I think it works great in non-horror games as well with something like Moss or Astro Bot. It shows that something like Mario or Zelda could work really well in VR. I hope Nintendo considers implementing VR when they make a more powerful console than the Switch.
Even if this gets great reviews, I’m more interested in Red Dead 2 and some other things this year. It’s also an Ubisoft game, which means it’ll drop to half price a lot faster than other games will.
I got this on PS4 a year back for $5 and loved it. Highly recommend. I was waiting for a sale on the sequel, but I think I'll opt to get it on Switch instead.
Looks pretty bad for online. I could believe if they wanted to not do the boards since Nintendo’s online stinks, but that they only have 10 games added to it seems bafflingly low. You’ll have probably played them all within 2 or 3 rounds. What would prompt me to buy this game is if Nintendo promised to make it a game as service with special events with unique minigames and boards
There are so many old VC titles I’d need to pick up! Especially if they can bring back some SNES RPGs like Chrono Trigger or Secret of Mana. Sadly, I fear that if we receive GameCube titles, they won’t include games like Metroid Prime, Windwaker or Luigi’s Mansion. They’ll opt to sell us those as expensive remasters/collections instead.
@Cosats I'll have to see if anyone has 3D printed an add on to the right joycon so I can align the analogs but still have the support along the palm of my hand like I'm used to with a controller

Re: Get Hollow For A Crazy Cheap Price On The Switch In North America Right Now
I don’t think every game reduced by a huge margin is the worst. I got Bulb Boy for $1.50 the other day and that was better than I expected
Re: Nintendo Download: 8th November (North America)
If I was getting one, it woulda been Grim Fandango. But I’m saving my credit for Smash and Guacamelee 2
Re: Guide: Spirits in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Explained
I’d like to play online without spirits. I hope there's a league with and without spirits

Loling forward to Smash Bros and Guacamelee 2. I want Katamari, but I still have a PS2 with that game perpetually plugged in, so I don’t NEED it.

Played some Bomb Chicken (getting close to the last level) and will play Red Dead 2 obviously

@dew12333 I saw that Killer 7 was announced for a PC release earlier this year, so I was hoping the PETS initiative would happen for that title
Re: Three, Yes Three Resident Evil Games Are Headed To Nintendo Switch In 2019
If Capcom wants to bring old games to Switch, why not also bring Killer 7 and the two Viewtiful Joe games?
Re: Violent And Bloody Action RPG Vampyr Is Making The Switch

Red Dead Redemption 2,

Guacamelee 2,
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
