I could see just about any Metroid game being announced for Switch as apology from Nintendo, whether that means Nintendo announces Super Metroid as the first SNES game coming to Switch or Metroid Prime Collection.

I can’t imagine any WiiU ports to the Switch getting a “and it’s available now,” so I’m guessing the only thing, if applicable, would be SNES games coming to Switch.

Hopefully Zell is right about the games and not just the date of the direct. I wanna play Pikmin and Metroid since I really missed out on both.

I don’t mind that I can’t cross-play Switch and PS4 games. I don’t game with people online that often. I think XB’s stance on a lot of things has definitely gotten them set up to overtake PS if they don’t change their mind on crossplay, backwards compatibility and perhaps more. That being said, PS still has the best games imo.

Dang, I’m more interested in the idea of a windwaker-style game than a farm simulator. If it gets good reviews I’ll check it out.

Guess I’ll just play the English rom I have instead of giving Nintendo any money.

Looking forward to a direct and keeping myself tempered in case it doesn’t go through. All of the rumored titles are Wii and WiiU titles I’ve never played, so I honestly would love to get any of them.

Best 2018 Switch game. Team Cherry’s polish on this game and excellent DLC means I’ll buy their next game day 1.

I’ve already played the DS version awhile ago. I loved it. It was definitely one of the best M&L games and it wasn’t full price when I had it too

I have like 30-40 games on Switch, but I’m pretty selective with my purchases and wait for deals most of the time. I don’t think that there are that many more currently on Switch that I’d want. I want Katamari, Flipping Death and a few more metroidvania is all.

Did I read the article too quickly? Could we see the Octopath art style used on these remakes? I’d be interested in that for sure. The 3D game on Vita and PS4 would be a pass from me.

If I play Switch, it’ll be Enter the Gungeon or Wargroove. I’ll likely be playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider on Xbox gamepass.

I thought I’d be very excited to play NES games and it’s really not. Give us SNES and N64 games. I honestly don’t see a point in renewing my subscription with Nintendo unless drastic changes are made.

Then why do some games still have such violent shaking with the joy cons? I want a rumble, I don’t wanna feel like my hands are holding a miniature earthquake.

Good! Hopefully their continued support and any DLC will be paid for in advance for awhile too.

Never owned a WiiU, so I’m cool with paying for some of those games, but not all of them. The same 3DS games get discounted all the time and recycled every couple months. They’re either games that I have purchased previously or will never buy.

Anyone notice that war groove was on there twice? Haha! I’ll play something like Gungeon or LA Noire. Still working on Okami as well.

5/10 is a skip in my book. Anything that gets that kind of score is not worth my limited play time.

I played the opening level on my PS4 and wasn’t impressed. Does the game get better than that? If so, I’ll give it another go

Did they forget to put in the textures and style? Could be a cool concept, but they’ve got a lot to surmount if the player sees this the whole time.

I normally trust Metacritic, but this composite score is bull crap. Sony absolutely decimated the competition in 2018.

@sanderev agreed! My copy of Doom, Wolfenstein 2 and Skyrim all feature reversible art. I love when they do that.

No Mario Odyssey DLC, but this is the next best thing

@TreonsRealm The only reason I can come up with is that Humble Bundle offers credits to their customers for various reasons ( Getting a friend to join, purchasing bundles, etc... ). So it would allow you to purchase Nintendo Switch or 3DS games at a discount with those credits. I’m not sure if buying through HB means you won’t get Nintendo Gold points.

If true, They should’ve announced this in the same announcement that MP4 was being restarted. “We’re sorry that we are restarting development of MP4, however, we are excited to present the Metroid Prime trilogy for Switch coming out _____”

Finished Red Dead 2 this week, so I’m finishing Okami and Enter the Gungeon

These posts are just fodder for the haters. Yes it sucks to have to own a SD card, but I don’t care about reselling anymore. I buy digital most of the time and play the game once and consider my money well spent if I get enough time with it. I typically feel like I got my money’s worth if I spend $1or less per hour of playtime.

I voted for Smite, but that’s just cuz I’ve never played it and I’ll give it a shot cuz it’s free. I’m still playing other games I’ve backlogged on Switch like Okami and LA Noire

85% on metacritic and 40-80hrs of gameplay bodes well for this title. I’d pay good money if it runs well on switch, and it’s 2D, so why wouldn’t it?

The indie directs are fun to watch, but I’m still waiting for some games they announced so long ago. Away, Wargroove, Hawaii Shakedown... I want them to announce only titles that are getting a release sooner than later.

$50 or $60 for these ports just seems too pricey. I’m interested in giving the FF franchise a shot, but probably not at full price

I’ve allowed too many games to get in the way of me playing Red Dead 2 like Iconoclasts and Zero Escape ZTD, but with those finished, I’ve been playing Red Dead 2 exclusively. After I finish that, I will get back to Okami on my Switch

I’ll probably drop some dollaz on this game. I liked Undertale a lot, so I think this game could be really fun

Played the first game, watched a lot of the cutscenes of the second, but I feel like this doesn’t look particularly interesting to me. Combined with other reviews giving it 6s, I think i’ll Wait until it’s on heavy discount

NES games, even on Switch, don’t excite me enough to play them. I’m waiting for SNES

@MysticGengar I like the Hori D-Pad joycon I got. I picked it up during Black Friday for $16, so cheaper than the price of this skin. Of course, it doesn’t include any rumble, whereas this skin would allow you to have rumble still.

@ekwcll y’know, I just assumed since RE4 did come out on PS2 (later) that they all were on PS2. You’re right. RE Zero was only on GameCube during that generation. And I believe the remaster of RE 1 was as well.

A lot of people complaining that Nintendo has released these on other consoles several times and yet I’ve missed the boat on many SNES titles. I’ve never beaten Super Mario World, but I’ve played enough. I’ve done LttP and Super Metroid. Aside from these, everything would be pretty new for me. I’d want some Square RPGs and anything else Nintendo wants to throw in

I dig that Capcom is putting all these PS2 classics on switch. First was Okami, now this, the three RE games later this year and Dragon’s Dogma (PS3/360) comes out later too. Amazon priced Dragon’s Dogma at $30. Gotta love the low prices for these ports

I’ve got quite a few thq Nordic games on my PS4 from a humble bundle. I think Rad Rogers looks fun, but I’ll wait for the heavy discount before I bite.

I wonder if Nintendo would consider a tiered online pricing— $20 for online + nes games. $30 for online, NES and SNES games, etc. The sooner we get Snes games, the better

Curious how many people suggest actually playing it over those who suggest just watching gameplay on YouTube.

I’ve played hundreds of hours on my 3DS with like 100-200 hrs on Pokemon picross alone. It’s been good to me. That being said, the sooner Nintendo kills it, the sooner my Switch can be my one and only handheld

They keep making these other 3DS and Switch games like Captain Toad and Sushi Strikers. Why wouldn’t they try to put epic yarn on switch as well?

I hated Blaster Master Zero on switch. Please don’t give me the original... is there a way to give games back to Nintendo like how you could give back that crappy U2 album back to iTunes?

These Capcom games like Onimusha and Okami have lower price tags. Will this game be $20-30? If so, sure I’ll gice it a shot

I spent a lot between November and December that I didn’t feel like I could justify another $60 in eshop purchases. I ended up picking up Guacamelee 2 from this list and I loved it. I couldn’t put it down until I had 100%ed it
