Another week down as we roll towards the holidays. This week we've seen a bunch of games, a few performances, and even an award or two at The Game Awards. Elsewhere, Paper Mario came to the NSO Expansion Pack, some wag hacked Chris Pratt's voice into Super Mario Bros., and we sadly said goodbye to the man who designed two of the most iconic video games consoles ever made
Now, though, it's time to chill out and discuss our weekend gaming plans. A few members of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to give our entries a read and then join in with your own via our comment section. Enjoy!

I've got Spider-Man fever and that's no lie. Sure, the prospect of possibly seeing Tobey Maguire back in his onesie in No Way Home might be a total nostalgia play, but it's been a long year (again) and the idea of sitting in a cinema and watching the new Spider-Man and the new Ghostbusters and the new Matrix movies back-to-back feels comforting. Expectations dialled right down appropriately, of course.
Oh yes, video games. After compiling our reader-ranked list of the best Spider-Man games on Nintendo platforms (with Tom and Kate doing the lion's share of the entries, bless them), I'd like nothing more than to fire up Spider-Man 2 for the GameCube and swing around New York for a while this weekend. You can keep your fancy pants PS5s* — GameCube is where the real webslinging's at.
*If you really must part with your fancy pants PS5s, I'll permit you to send it my way, actually.

Hello. This weekend I’m gonna be diving into Loop Hero for the very first time. I’ve heard nothing but good things about this one over the past wee while, so now feels like the perfect opportunity to get involved I reckon since it’s finally hit Switch.
Besides this I’ll also be continuing my adventures in Shin Megami Tensei V. This is my very first time playing a game in the series and, so far, I’m absolutely loving it, even though it’s absolutely thrashed me in every single battle so far. Hopefully I’ll get the hang of it soon though, as the story and characters have sucked me right in.
Have a great weekend!

I started playing Wytchwood, which came out this week — it's a charming little narrative-led game about a witch finding her memories, with a whole bunch of potion crafting and material gathering. It's very gentle so far, and quite beautiful too, but the main character looks like one of the protagonists of Slay The Spire, which keeps throwing me for a loop.
I would love to dig into Omno, Ace Attorney, and Danganronpa if I get time... but with Christmas around the corner, I doubt I will!

Ahoy! It's more Danganronpa for me this weekend. I must confess, with Halo Infinite's campaign launching this week, I didn't get as far as I'd like in Trigger Happy Havoc, but I'm hoping to rectify that this weekend and polish off a couple of chapters, at least.
Otherwise, it's — you guessed it — more Halo Infinite. I've also downloaded that incredible Matrix Awakens tech demo on the PS5, and it's truly mind blowing! Definitely worth a try if you fancy gawking at your TV screen for an hour or so.

This weekend will be fully fueled by Microïds. The Smurfs - Mission Vileaf is a solid 3D platformer, Marsupilami Hoboadventure is a slightly more forgiving Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze 2.5D platformer, while Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All! lives up to its subtitle because truly no Roman will be left “unslapped”. Last but not least I will once again incarnate Robert Foster and try to find out what Joey has been up to in Beyond a Steel Sky.
Game of the week is Loop Hero. Sadly I won’t be doing any looping heroics until the physical version arrives… I am an old man who still refuses to let go of game boxes.
As always, thanks for reading! Make sure to leave us a comment below with your weekend gaming plans!

Started playing Loop Hero when it launched which I assumed would keep me pretty busy for the weekend but I smashed through the last couple of chapters first try easily which kinda killed my desire to keep playing. Had a lot of fun while it lasted but that’ll do me for now.
Back to some Binding of Isaac: Repentance for now while picking what to play next, almost finished beating Greedier mode with every character (31 down, 3 to go).
Not sure what to start next as I don't want to commit to something super long as I'm waiting for my physical copy of Danganronpa Decadence to arrive. Got a huge pile of good short games in the backlog though, just gotta figure out what I feel like playing.
I finished Shadowverse: Champion's Battle last week! It took me about 68 hours to do all 9 chapters. I'm sad it's over, and it's definitely in my top 5 Switch games now. Hopefully it'll get a sequel one day. I might dive into the post-game chapter eventually, but for now I wanna get back to some games that I've been ignoring for awhile.
So I'll be going back to Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and Ys IX: Monstrum Nox. I'm gonna pretty much just going to be diving into those two games this weekend. When I do play with friends, I'll probably play some Mario Party Superstars or Dead By Daylight. Those have been consistent fun for all of us.
Dying Light The Following (currently standing in front of a volatile hive too afraid to go inside...) I got an XBox Series S for free and grabbing Cyberpunk. Get to find out if I'm more disappointed with Earthbound 64 being cancelled or Cyberpunk 2077 being released lol! But good lord if the XBox hasn't made me love my Switch more. What a cluttered, commercial mess. Trying to lock me into payments, asking if I want to buy <whatever> ad nauseum. As for achievements and (omg, can't even believe this is a thing) achievment progress bars popping up, it's all just too much. It's so yucky. Typical American company. far too commercial to the point of distraction. What next, adverts every 3 minutes? Still, 25 quid to have a dabble on Cyberpunk...decent. I'll box it up after that.
I played PS2 USA games this weekend.
1. Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princess
2. Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters
3. The Sims Bustin' Out
4. Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME
I’m a bit unsure and haven’t really been able to settle on anything since putting 80 hours into SMT V and getting all the endings. That was amazing.
I’ve got the Danganronpa collection for Christmas so I’ll be playing V3 then.
It’s also a busy time with prep for Christmas and trying to get some jobs done in the lead up. So to play something it needs to be relaxing and something I can dip in and out of, so I’ve started Robotic; Notes from my backlog. It’s doing the trick too well as I keep falling asleep!
Immortals Fenyx Rising, Burnout Paradise, Animal Crossing New Horizons. I am so happy playing these three games!
Happy gaming everyone!
Immortals Fenyx Rising and Tetris99,
Call Of Juarez which I got for £7 in the current sale, it’s insanely good
After having finished off Halo Infinite's campaign and obtained the Mario Party Tetris 99 theme yesterday I decided to return to Brilliant Diamond and that'll be my focus all weekend.
undertale, botw, kotor and…..
NSO paper mario
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA MegaMix
Haven't played this for a good while. I still had some songs on Hard I'd not even tried yet so I played them and now I'm replaying all songs on Normal and Hard before moving onto Extreme.
Detective Pikachu
Playing in Japanese. Finished the first case without any trouble. There are some things I don't quite understand but I'm still very much comfortable playing it in language I've only been studying for less than 2 years.
I was thinking about just playing it normally in English but when I saw the option for either hiragana only or with kanji, I had to try it out. I'm playing with kanji since that's been my focus the whole time. I've still only dabbled in grammar so that's why some of the finer details escape me. I kind of set a goal for myself earlier this year to finish a game in Japanese by the end of the year. I don't know if I'll be able to finish by then but this seems like a perfect candidate for it.
Mega Man 6
I finished couple of other NES Mega Man games last month so now it's time for 6, the last NES Mega Man game I'm yet to beat. 4 robot masters down.
Ruined King. Interesting playing it after watching Arcane
Finished Resident Evil 2 Remake and started Death Stranding, amazing.
What an incredible game.
Also started new game+ on Blasphemous.
Love that game.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Mario Party Superstars the whole weekend
Maybe some Age Of Calamity, Metroid and Skyward Sword
Tanuki Justice which is short but very sweet. Wallachia Reign of Dracula, Tetris 99 and starting Pokémon Brilliant Diamond this weekend.
Nintendo Switch
Steam
Also been squeezing in a bit of
SWITCH
Skyrim - Continuing my magic build playthrough! I swear this game is absolutely timeless.
Borderlands Legendary Collection - Working my way through these classics once again!
The Binding of Isaac: Repentance - Attempting to unlock the tainted characters is painful sometimes lol
PC
Death Stranding - Really enjoying my time with this one! Though I admit it has a.. unique gameplay loop.
GTA Online/Garry's Mod - As usual, multiplayer mayhem with friends later tonight!
Have a good weekend everyone!
Thronebreaker Witcher Tales - after finishing Witcher 3’s Blood and Wine DLC, I couldn’t let myself leave this world just yet. Plus I got it on sale a couple of weeks back.
Diablo 2 and Archvale for me. Arch is almost finished, and Diablo is never ending for me. My 85 Necro is almost finished with Act 5 in Hell. And I’ve got a 75 Meteorb Sorc, 51 Fana Zealot, and 56 BowaZon I’m all working on…. Not to mention various low level Barbs, Paladins, Druids and Blizz Sorc….
About 2/3 thru my Shining Pearl Nuzlocke
I’ve completed Doom Eternal dlc part 2. Continuing with Skyward Sword, doing the side quests this time. I have Ys IX and Darksiders 3 so will make a start on one of these if I have time.
BotW 100% Semi-Weekly Update
4 Divine Beasts
105 shrines
708 seeds
140 hours
I finished off Vah Medoh last night and did a couple side quests around Rito Village before going to beddy byes. One section of the map left uncharted (the top left, Hebra - yay, snow, my favourite, dark and mountainous) and I’m very much doubting there will be nearly 200 seeds in one section so I’m guessing I missed some - most likely pre-Korok Mask.
Will start exploring that area tonight and when I’m finished up, I’ll head to Hyrule Castle to gather some more seeds, find my last memory and kill Ganon, which will trigger a bunch of things like the monster medallions and percentage on the map screen. The plan then is to go take down all the boss monsters (I’ve marked most on my map over the course of my game), getting any extra Koroks along the way and, finally, succumbing to the inevitable guide for the final touches.
It’s been a journey but I believe I’m only about one month away from having this thing bested. Woohoo!
Addicted to Animal Crossing New Horizons once again, doing some farming & cooking right now !
Also playing WarioWare Get It Together as well, gonna get Pokémon BD and Big Brain Academy for Christmas
Probably not a lot of gaming this weekend as I have yardwork and housework to catch up on and when I'm not doing that I'll be marathoning Spider-Man and crocheting. But I might spend a little time in Shin Megami Tensei V in between those things.
I've been taking a break from Brilliant Diamond, but I'm hoping to get back to that and finish it this weekend. I finished Quake last night, so that's another game on the Switch backlog down! Doom 64, Stardew Valley, and KOTOR are all possibilities on the Switch side of things as well.
Outside of the Switch, I want to get back to Silent Hill this weekend. Maybe I'll return to Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot as well, who knows?
Having so much fun poking into every nook and cranny of Shin Megami Tensei V finding secrets. Even when stuff is marked in the map, it’s not always obvious where things are. It’s like they crossed SMT with Xenoblade, and I love it. About 20 hours in now, and still only on the second netherworld. I might be some time.
If I can find any other time, I’d like to check out Halo Infinite. Haven’t played any Halo since the very first one (meh), but this seems like a good time to give the series another go.
Will do the Mario Party Superstars event in Tetris 99 in a bit, before going back to finish Inscryption (on Steam) today hopefully. Very mesmerizing card-battler that one, both with a great spooky ambience and cool soundtrack.
Afterwards, will continue playing Loop Hero (on Steam). Thought I may as well start it a couple days back when it released on Switch lol.
This week I will be mostly playing
Pokémon Black 2/Dream Radar
Star Fox Zero
My new PC gaming hub, while still a very low end if not outright Cambrian by the "master race" standards (you wouldn't catch me spending big money on a laptop even if I had it😆), is still enough of an upgrade over the good ol' Lifebook a514 to apparently broaden my range of accessible titles in case they don't show up on Switch anytime soon, so I've been testing a handful from the smoother performance in the previously straining stuff like Just Cause 3 and Prey to the seemingly passable (if still a bit sluggish) playability of emulated titles like Drakengard. With a discrete R5 M330 on board, even the first Shenmue might finally become an option and heal my flashbacks of its previous apparent allergy to Intel HD (possibly my whole lifetime's only true case of "actually unplayable graphics")!
But none of the above implies the lack of usual Napoleonic plans for Switch - from Fuga, Portia and DerQ to Starlink, Xenoblade and Children of Morta to Bioshock 2, Layers of Fear 2 and Borderlands... you know how I get. Naturally, I also dare to hope for a bit of quality PSP/Vita and [3]DS time here and there; Endless Frontier, Fire Emblem Echoes and Castlevania SotN are particular itches this weekend, but as usual, only time will tell what of this whole bunch I'll actually play.
I'll never be capable of understanding people who desperately await new game announcements and lament the lack of stuff to play.😅
Oh, and yes, this is one of those weekends where I download Tetris 99 again.😆 Who said Switch doesn't have themes? You just need a gigabyte of extra software for them!
Kingdom: Two Crowns had a cheap new DLC that I am enjoying with my kids.
Picking away at Shin Megami Tensei V, just beat a werewolf.
Other than that I’m enjoying Trauma Center on my 3DS
More Warframe and I will probably give the Matrix Awakens demo a try out.
Halo and Forza mainly but I may break open my copy of Xenoblade Chronicles.
Trying to trudge through Death's Door but I'm really not feeling it. I'm on the 3rd area and I'm just not having fun. Its bland, repetitive, the waves of enemies are annoying and frustrating, there's no sense of ever getting stronger, and it's one of the most disappointing games I've played this year. It stings because I paid full price for it. I should have listened to my gut and got Alba: A Wildlife Adventure instead.
Because of that, I might start some Quake this weekend (or stubbornly try to finish Death's Door because I'm an idiot masochist). I'll also be playing my 2 new arcade cabinets (MVSX and Midway Legacy). Last night I played Shock Troopers and Metal Slug 2 on the MVSX which were super fun, and my wife got into Root Beer Tapper on Midway. There's a lot of games to keep us occupied on these things.
I've completed DOOM II for the first time ever, and I've been playing the game for 20+ years.
Funny that it took until the Switch release for me to finally beat it in Ultra Violence.
In the past, I'd typically just activate a bunch of cheats and massacre everything in my wake. That, and not-so-secret LAN parties during computing classes during my high school years.
This weekend, I'll be playing Animal Crossing (as I have been playing daily again after a looooong hiatus), FIFA 22, Pokémon Shining Pearl, and I'll dabble with my newly arrived physical copy of Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water. I might do a bit of Brain Training as well, as I've recently got back into it.
I'm still playing Metroid Dread. Again and again, I can`t get enough of it
On monday, I'm finished Chapter 3 and completed it on all endings, and completed Extra Chapters 2 and 11 in Corpse Party. Unfortunately, after that I was overwhelmed with work and did not play anything.
After beating the superboss of SMTV this week I’m looking at getting the secret ending this weekend. I’ll definitely go back and see the other endings as well at some point. Otherwise I’ve started Aria of Sorrow in the Castlevania Advance Collection
@GrailUK I actually had a similar experience when I got a PS4 Pro from a friend last year. Yes, the actual console is awesome and the graphics blew my tiny little Switch-trained mind. But the whole GUI is aggressively designed to sell you things and I never fell in love with it. I bought a few games and reveled in the experience of owning a powerful console for a bit (seriously, it's fun) but when the disc reader stopped accepting discs and my kid asked if she could put the PS4 in her room, I consented without hesitating.
The Switch is designed to play games on, full stop. Everything else is an afterthought. I like that in a gaming console.
Does anyone know what game does the very first screen shot on this article come from?
Fell back into Hades again between my save on switch and Xbox (too bad there isn’t cross saves between the two). And then I’m playing GTA San Andreas on my iPad since it was cheaper than buying that buggy collection.
Football Manager, Paper Mario 64 & some Rush Rally 3. Mixing it up as I have so many Switch games to play.
Same as have been for the past three months.
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
Super Mario Odyssey
Got to soft credits after about a week of playing but the post-game has kept me busy since. Hard mode DKC:TF - up to world 4 boss atm.
Mario I’m up 630 moons or so. Just tried the Darkest Side of the Moon last night. Died a gruesome death. Who said this game was too easy? Only those that play up to soft credits that’s who.
Been getting back into Skyrim on Switch Lite, after picking it up in the recent sale.
Xmas prep and housework will mostly keep me away from all the games I’m trying to play, like Spelunky, Into the Breach, GALAK-Z, ACNH, Dying Light…
After the holiday I’ll have a few days off and hope to just unwind with some extended game time.
I had a minor Christmas miracle Thu night when I was gift shopping at Target and they had Switch OLEDs! I decided to get one for myself, as my launch Switch is starting to wheeze a bit. I’ll migrate all my games after Xmas, so that’s another thing to look forward to.
A fun weekend to all, and to all a good week ⭐️
@Johnno137426
That topmost screenshot must be from Loop Hero, just out on Switch this week.
Just got The Takeover and beat it with the Mrs in one sitting. Great game with really good, meaty combat and an interesting art style. Well worth the $5 price tag at the moment in the sale.
Will run through it again in a few weeks, me thinks
Just Halo Infinite. Most fun I've had with one of 343's entries in the series by far.
Banjo-Kazooie (N64) - Playing the Christmas world as always in December .
Mahjong by Microsoft (Android) - Still daily challenges and various puzzle packs.
Burn the Rope (Windows Phone) - Finally at the end now.
@JasmineDragon I'm so glad it's not just me. I mean, I get all the talk of specs, but bloody hell, not at the expense of having fun!
tetris 99 for the Maximus Cup & Halo Infinite
This is the last weekend until the holiday shuffle truly starts for me, so I intend to do some gaming! Outside of Clean House (last time it'll happen for a bit), I'm still plugging away at both Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask and Pokemon Shield. I just finished Chapter 4 in the former; it has been interesting to see Layton in his teenage years. Many of the puzzles are fun too, if a bit easy for the most part. As for Shield, I finished the Isle of Armor plot and have moved onto the Crown Tundra after some fun with Surprise Trade (and Diglett hunting). The setting is quite fitting for this time of year, even with the absence of snow in my environs.
Have a great weekend! Happy gaming!
Trying to finish up shining pearl so I can start xenoblade chronicles 2
Definitely some Animal Crossing New Horizon. Try to squeeze in Pokémon Sword, Fatal Frame and Mario Golf too.
I am continuing with Astral Chain. I think I’ve been able to get myself into it properly now and will see it through to the end. I am currently on file 6. It may be time for me to watch some more videos about the combat now that I have 4 legions. There is a lot I can do with them, but it is a bit difficult for me to know when I am doing the best thing for the situation in combat.
Monster hunter rise.
@TheRenegade908 same!
..... Halo Infinite. Duh.
With the new Sonic Frontier announcement, as well as the trailer for the second movie, I'm gonna play some more Sonic Mania on the Switch. On the PlayStation side of things, I'll probably start playing some Lego DC Super-Villains, at some point as well.
Replaying Shadow tactics since the expansion came out. My favorite pc-game genre and i hope more devs make that kind of games
Finished Pikmin 3 deluxe yesterday, so will continue yooka laylee and the impossible lair today. Have a great weekend folks 😊
Eastward, Blasphemous, N64 NSO (Ocarina of Time, Paper Mario, Sin and Punishment).
I just bought Inscryption on PC. I started playing the game last night and I thought I had only been playing for maybe an hour or so. I checked the time and it was 3:00 am... I woke up and I can't stop thinking about it. This might be my personal game of the year.
I completed my second Hard Run in Metroid Dread under 3:45. I'll get all the expansions tomorrow, and I'll continue my Nigthmare run in DOOM Eternal.
I had mentioned this on another article somewhere but earlier this week I finally finished Persona 4 Golden and man I have so much to say about it but I'll try to keep my thoughts brief 😂
I think my favorite character is actually Kanji. It's funny when I first met him I thought he was going to be annoying but man I freaking love him! A close second is definitely Marie though. Simply because I always find it funny when she makes Rise jealous 😂. Truthfully I didn't expect her background to be related to ameno-sagiri. However, I will say I didn't really understand why she "dropped" so many poems in the velvet room. I get the feeling I probably missed something.
My least favorite character is probably Teddie. I liked him at first but admittedly the amount of times he flirted with the girls got a little annoying 😅
So I actually romanced multiple people because I heard nothing really happens in the story if you do. Well...Valentine's day came around and gosh, I know it's just a game but I felt AWFUL 😅. As stupid as it sounds I actually reloaded the save so I could spend the day with each of them individually...yeah I know it's dumb, but I felt terrible 😂
The overall plot of the game was fantastic! Persona games were always a bit intimidating to me because of how long they are (even compared to other RPGs) but I'm surprised that the plot was really able to keep me on my toes the entire time!
There was so many things that I didn't expect. I really couldn't tell you how much my heart broke when Nanako "died". Also last week I found out Adachi was the true killer and I guess I badmouthed him a little too much so my comment got removed 😅. In that comment I mentioned how unsettling Adachi's evil face looked after seeing it for the first time. However, there's this ending called the accomplice ending and turns out Adachi has this even CREEPIER face that's EXCLUSIVE to the accomplice ending. Super unsettling stuff 😅.
One thing that I didn't quite understand: Do we ever find out who actually killed Dojima's wife? I know Dojima talks about how she died but it doesn't seem like we ever found out who did it. I was expecting it to be Adachi after finding out what he was really like.
Anyway I got the golden ending for my first playthrough and it was totally worth it. It hurt saying goodbye to everyone and boarding the train but I was happy that the golden ending allowed us to return! I loved seeing how much everyone changed (Yukiko had the best new look imo 😜). Even Namatame was running for Mayor! It almost felt like another universe 🤣. Goodness man I felt so empty after finishing this game lol. I can safely say I understand the hype behind this series now.
TL;DR: Persona 4 Golden is easily one of my favorite RPGs now! I might do a ng+ playthrough sometime in the future. It was a beautiful game and I'm looking forward to playing more persona games in the future
@GrailUK Strange, I kind of had the opposite experience, a very good one.
I recently got a Series X, and it's been unbelievably fun, and fast, and generous.
I can't believe quite how much you get with Game Pass, literally 400 games, many of them excellent high profile ones. Most of them load in a few seconds, and look and perform brilliantly.
Not to mention how cheap the recent sale was, getting stuff like the Witcher for 5 quid, and several other good games for 2 and 3 quid.
I haven't received any annoying popups asking me to buy stuff etc, it's all been pretty great tbh.
As someone who has happily been a Switch/PC gamer for years, I am incredibly impressed with the Series X.
Congratulations! We’ve made it to the weekend!
I’ve been thoroughly enjoying my play through of Witcher 3, the game just keeps getting better as the story progresses.
As per usual Splatoon 2 will get some attention in short spurts
Been slowing getting back into HUNTDOWN as well and now my island in ACNH is covered in snow. Had the game for a year, still haven’t fully built my island…I swear I’ve just selling turnips for a year , 30M+ in Bells…so much to do still. There’s no endgame so there’s no rush for me.
As always this weekend will be sprinkled in with some great food, some time with friends and some high grade Lilac Diesel and some Death Cookie for nighttime winding down
HaPpY GaMiNG y’all!
@Raffles Hey, different strokes for different folks. The games are great.
Working on unlocking the Mini Cooper in Hot Wheels Unleashed. I wanna know if there's a custom livery for the real car I own and if not, I am totally gonna draw it and race it exclusively.
(Also, the Batman DLC levels are ridiculously hard)
@GrailUK One thing I forgot to mention is quick resume and FPS boost.
Both are game changers in functionality imo. I've really enjoyed being able to switch between 5 or 6 games at the exact state they were exited, something even a high end gaming PC can't do.
And FPS boost being able to retroactively enhance old games, running at a flawless 60fps is incredible.
Don't get me wrong, I love my Switch and thought the Xbox One was pretty terrible, but Microsoft have really come out swinging this gen. The Series X is way better than I expected.
Tetris 99 - Not winning in 27th Maximus cup.
PuyoPuyo Tetris - I decided to finally play story mode.
ACNH - Gyroid collecting.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond - still on first playthrough.
A Hat in Time - I never finished this game so decided to pull it off the backlog since I always need a platformer to play.
@Raffles I think i'm going to be grabbing some oldies myself
Liquid Kids on Switch and Dark Chambers on Evercade for me.
I just completed Liberated. Gonna get back back to Boot Hill Heroes-- I just know my mind has eroded, but I'm still early on fortunately.
All my black Friday purchases just came in the mail and I just started Pokemon. I have too much to play this weekend. 😂
@GrailUK If you're a Sonic fan, Sonic Generations and Unleashed are two of the 360 games that have been enhanced, and they look incredible.
Generations in particular runs at 4k60 now, and looks kind of unbelievable for a game of that generation.
Loved the shout out for Smurfs!!!! I want to go to that next, but this weekend is all about Bug Fables. It was a slow start, but now that I've finished chapter 2 I am beginning to love the main trio and to embrace a lot of the design I didn't love at first.
I am so so bad at spying though :/
Assassin's Creed Valhalla
Link's Awakening on the Super Game Boy.
Ghost Sync from Kemco Exe Create. I like it. I just played Ruinverse and Chroma Quaternion from Kemco. They were good as well.
I'm playing God.
SMT V, halo infinite campaign, lies of astaroth (as usual every day for last 2 years).
@Vortexeo man i wish this was ported to switch. I still have my digital version & vita, but it's in the closet somewhere & that screen is way too small as i get older & my eyes get worse. The switch screen is definitely better, but the fact i can play it in the tv when i need to is a huge plus. I only got about half way through the game, sadly (so i didn't read most of your spoiler tagged portions), but definitely plan on finishing it eventually. Glad u enjoyed it. This may motivate me to get that vita out, i think.
Just Beat: Final Fantasy 13-2 (PS3)
Now Playing: Luigi's Mansion (Switch)
Up Next: Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii)
Then: Final Fantasy 7 Remake Pt. 1 (PS4)
@DBTheHumbleSavage EA is already on my boycott list. They join Naughty Dog and Disney as companies that will never see another penny from me.
@Raffles Series X is slick! Love it! Psychonauts 2 is on my queue for the X! Can't wait for the new Perfect Dark!
@kingbk Each of those N64 titles are awesome! Have fun!
@NintendoByNature Chronicles 2 is a long haul!
@Grail_Quest Good, and let's use you as a example to everybody else here that they should all do the same if they feel bad for the poor employees who work there and get treated like machines! Or if they like Rayman, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro The Dragon, Plants Vs Zombies, & Beyond Good & Evil and want those franchises to be avenged!
@Krull Awesome username! Awesome movie!
@DBTheHumbleSavage Yes. Beyond Good & Evil 2 is my most wanted game. (Followed closely by Eternal Darkness 2.)
@DBTheHumbleSavage
I have some Rabbids games on Wii and i quite enjoy the games.
Also, posting a lot of comments in a row was not following the rules on this website.
And posting about rant to ask peoples to boycott games company in this thread was something derail the thread.
I'm currently on episode 3 of Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space Remastered. I'm having just as much fun as I did when played the original game years ago. It's one of the funniest point and clicks ever and totally worth full price.
@Silly_G Congrats on finishing Doom! Eons ago, when it first came out I played it with headphones on and I finally scared myself enough I couldn't go any further. Yet, here I am who knows how many years later tearing through Doom 2016 like it's the best thing ever.
@dcstud : Cheers. The irony is that I completed DOOM 2016 before the originals.
@dcstud
I just wanted to say - awesome avatar!
My siblings and I grew up on Colecovision and loved it, but I swear those controllers were not only horrible in retrospect, they broke like nobody’s business! I think we got a new pair of Coleco controllers under the Xmas tree like 3 years in a row. Loved the track ball controller and those big super-sports controllers, though; they were more durable.
@Teksetter Thank you. I still have my original ColecoVision in my closet along side two Super Action Controllers. Had the original controllers this entire time. Actually haven't gotten it out of the box to play it in many years. Few years back bought a ColecoVision Flashback with about 50 games on it. Seeing that original box fills me with nostalgia every time I see it. Figured it would be a crazy unique, avatar that only the few that remembered the system would get.
Thanks for the comment!, Happy Holidays!
@Silly_G A bit crazy that all these old school PC shooters are on Switch. I have Duke Nukem, Doom, Doom 64, and Quake. BTW Quake rocks!
@dcstud : And some with physical copies too! I never got into Quake back in the day, but I’ve ordered a copy of LRG’s release.
Halo infinitive.
Great game.
I don't like so much multiplayer.
I think the best fps online is cod.
But campaign is really awesome!!!
Bouncing between Shin Megami Tensei V and Brilliant Diamond this weekend again. Absolutely adoring those two. Diamond got me into JRPGs way back then and SMT V is what that interest has led to so far. Aside from those, Tetris Effect and Dead By Daylight are in the rotation too.
This weekend I’ve been playing Celeste. I’ve already completed it a few times but this play through, Ich spiele mit Deutsch Sprache während ich Deutsch lerne. (:
What game is the screenshot for the article from? I like the look of it- Hyper light drifter meets starfox?
@Krull I turned the mini map off, and “hide panels when moving”. So immersive! One part later on I turned the minimal on for a bit to make it easier. Give it a shot, especially since you’re digging the Monolith-like exploration.
70 hours into Shin Megami Tensei V. Just when I though it was letting up, boom, it shows the best it’s got so far. So much fun, so impressed, and my favorite RPG on Switch with a bullet (over Witcher 3, Dragon Quest XI, Fire Emblem 3 Houses and Octopath Traveler)... until they port over XCX of course:)
@Limestone
The top screenshot is from Loop Hero. You’re the second person I’ve told this weekend, so Devolver better put me on the payroll. 😁
I can see a Hyper Light Drifter resemblance in that spritework, too. 👍🏼
@dcstud
Thanks for the reply!
My mom sold our house while I was living in Japan years ago, and my Sis didn’t have the presence of mind to retain the Coleco stuff so it’s all gone now. A treasure chest of memories… 🥺
I guess we were just rough on the controllers!
How do you like that Coleco Flashback? I think it would be fun to try Mr. Do or Ladybug or Venture again, even if it lacks the major titles.
@Teksetter @Limestone thank youi appreciate it, the author should have said something about it COUGH
@Teksetter The FlashBack was alright. It didn't have several of the games I was hoping for, but it had enough to scratch that itch of playing a ColecoVision for a bit. If you can find one around I suggest you pick it up. What does stink is that it only has analog connections though.
Thanks for the insight! I guess I’ll keep an eye out for one and probably fall victim to nostalgia once again. 😅
@Kainbrightside No sequence break, only going through the game as quickly as possible Once you know where to go anb what not to take, it's done pretty fast.
