Re: Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp To End Online Service In November

Waluigi451

@kfflscnt oh yeah. Every week, if you fulfill a certain number of requests for animals, you get points. Completing 10 requests gets you 30 points (which is so easy), 50 gets you 50 points, and 100 requests a week gets you a 100 platinum points. These are weekly so it’s how I am always flush with points lol

Re: Talking Point: Would $499 Be Too Much For 'Switch 2'?

Waluigi451

Kind of hard to determine without knowing what upgrades the console has, but it feels like too much. Nintendo’s strategy in recent generations is always to go a tad lower than PlayStation and X-Box. So I suspect it would be $350-$400. Because once they’re charging as much as a PS5, it has to be able to match it and based on how the Switch was a step behind its contemporaries, I just don’t see Switch 2 having the kind of power and capability to justify that price tag. Like I said, we’ll see.

Re: Talking Point: Will The Switch Ever Get A 'Nintendo Selects' Range?

Waluigi451

Selects was such a good series and it’s a shame Nintendo hasn’t kept it up. Also a shame they don’t offer better sales on first party stuff.

On my PlayStation, I’ve gotten into quite a few series because of the PlayStation Hits games or just deep discounts in the store. These are all series I wouldn’t have tried out otherwise and because I got to play those games for cheap, I became a fan and went on to buy the newer games for full price.

I think a lot of the more niche Nintendo titles, such as Fire Emblem, Pikmin, or even Metroid, could really benefit from a cheaper entry point into the series. They’re missing out on potential fans by keeping games like Three Houses or Dread at full price this many years later.

Re: Rumour: Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games "Finished"

Waluigi451

I was very sad when I realized this year didn’t have a new entry. I absolutely loved this series. One of my greatest gaming memories was getting to play that original ‘08 game on the DS. I couldn’t believe I got to play as Mario and Sonic, my two favorite gaming characters, together. What a mind blowing thing.

The series had some ups and downs over the years, but there were definitely some gems in there. I hope this isn’t the end for collabs between these two franchises.

Re: Review: Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition (Switch) - Speed-Focused And Slight, But Addictive

Waluigi451

Decided to get this in the end (that deluxe edition was too cool to pass up) and I’m glad I did. It’s very addicting. And I’m not even a big speedrunning fan but I keep going over challenges again and again to shave a millisecond off and get this elusive S-ranks.

My favorite part however are the Legendary challenges and the Classified Information sheets. I enjoy studying the tips before hopping into the final challenge. It’s really helped me understand and appreciate these NES games a lot more. Here’s hoping this game gets some updates or DLCs because I’d love some more challenges or games. But as it stands, this is still a pretty addicting little package.

Re: Pokémon Sleep Has Reportedly Made $100 Million In Its First Year

Waluigi451

The amount of revenue coming from Japan is insane and really puts things into perspective. I think the bulk of users on this website are American or European, so our perspective is skewed on Pokémon’s popularity. Because I personally have not seen a lot of people talking about Pokemon sleep but the American number for revenue is fairly low, so it makes sense. But clearly Pokemon is still a massive hit in Japan if even a sleep app can bring in that kind of revenue.

Re: Poll: What's Your Switch Game Of The Year Of 2024 So Far?

Waluigi451

Honestly? It’s been a light Switch year for me so far. I’ve been spending far more time on my PS5 as of late (sorry, Nintendo!) so I don’t have a lot of options. That said, I did enjoy Peach Showtime a lot. It’s a bit simple sure, but giving Peach a chance to shine was definitely a highlight.

Re: My Nintendo Store Adds 'Classic Games Postcard Set' (North America)

Waluigi451

I feel like there’s been a noticeable drop in quality for the new rewards lately. My Nintendo was always a shell of Club Nintendo, but they still put out some decent little stuff like bags, cases, keychains, etc. Lately though it’s been paper products like this that seem cheaper. I suppose most the older rewards are still up, but the latest offerings for games like Peach Showtime and Paper Mario have been lacklauster. Hope they put out something worth the shipping soon.
