Nintendo gets this. All of the most successful companies get this. When big players like Sony release garbage like Concord and the industry as a whole chases trends like a cat chases a laser pen. This sort of industrywide destruction happens. And companies that stick to their philosophies like Nintendo feel none of it. Build today to have a castle tomorrow. Remember that folks.

I miss good PlayStation. Nintendo doesn't have any real competition right now. The industry is at its best when at least two players are doing good.

The Last Story is a hidden gem of the Wii's later years. I would love for it to get any sort of rerelease or remaster. And I recommend anyone play it if they can somehow unearth a copy and have a Wii or Wii U available.

Having a new iteration every 4 years was pretty cool though. Didn't oversaturate itself by being a yearly release. Sort of a shame.

I have this idea I've had for a while. It's a new DK character. His name is Kong Donkey. He's a donkey who is super muscular. He and DK start out as adversaries. But eventually end up realizing that the Kremlings are a greater threat and end up teaming up. Nintendo can take my idea if it wants.

@N8tiveT3ch That's my point. Prime remastered was literally one of the greatest HD remasters ever. And it was only $40. Any remaster charging more than that is just insanity.

Prime Remastered ruined it. Literally any remaster priced higher than that is robbery.

The series that should take it. Is Zelda. There's no reason we can't have both kinds of Zelda. Other Zelda games will use that formula in the future. Maybe we can have a different dev make more traditional Zelda games while the main team makes the open ones. And someday the main team very well might revert to making more traditional Zelda games.

I'll just be happy if my preorder doesn't get cancelled at this point.

@andyg1412 Rushing it out in a shoddy state would have been the much greater mistake. The fact that Nintendo has taken this long to make sure they get it right is why they're the cream of the crop.

My Amazon preorder got cancelled a while ago. And my Walmart one to replace it just got cancelled today. I am not caving and going digital. I'll wait months to buy it if I have to. I did the same thing with Metroid Prime Remastered. Nintendo needs to produce enough copies. This is ridiculous.

@jco83 Yikes. I didn't realize it was $40,000 a month. I thought that was the yearly rate. No wonder all the companies are dropping integration. Half a million a year is ridiculous.

$40,000? Hiring an extra janitor or two at one of Nintendo's facilities is a better use of that money.

I'm a big believer that consistency is more important that peak framerate. I'll take a solid 30 over an inconsistent 60.

It'll most likely run at 60 on Switch 2 in a year or so. I've always been fine with 30 so long as it runs mostly consistently.

I really hope that Thousand Year Door does well. And I really hope it finally leads to Nintendo making Paper Mario 3.

If Sony couldn't produce a genuine competitor (as much as we all loved the PSP it just stood no chance against the DS) during the height of their PS2 dominance. I highly doubt Xbox can pull it off. Especially when their lack of console selling games issue will be following them.

A few years back I got an off brand 1TB Micro SD on Amazon for $20. Didn't work. Returned it. Realized I really shouldn't cheap out on tech stuff. I've had multiple Sandisk SD and Micro SD cards over the years. Never had a problem with any of them. Sometimes sticking with a reputable brand pays dividends.

5 million. The appetite for a good old RPG is still here. Make Chrono Trigger HD-2D already Square. You're literally sitting on free money.
