You can talk about hardware and specs all you want. But Sony simply needs to up their first party game. It's been lackluster on the PS5 compared to its previous consoles. No handheld or console will sell without substantial first party offerings. And that is exactly why Microsoft has no chance at creating a successful handheld. Microsoft has abandoned first party games ever since the release of Halo 3. And that's why their systems have failed ever since.

So long as Nintendo releases Pokemon and Mario Kart exclusively to their own hardware. They will always have their own hardware.

I'm actually really hyped for it. DKC Returns was one of those games that didn't really have a definitive version. The Wii version looked much better and ran at a smooth 60 frames. The 3ds version controlled much better and had extra levels. Now we get an HD version with the 60 frames of the Wii version and the controls and levels of the 3ds one. Yes please.

Over 160 million sold. And its nearly impossible to find one that still works right.

@rvcolem1 I think a Zelda II remake that keeps the 2d sections but vastly improves everything could actually be super cool.

Hot take. I wish Nintendo never released an official timeline. I wish they just let the fans do their best to speculate and piece together the timeline themselves. It was more fun that way.

@Anti-Matter Oh I have no doubt there are plenty of great games on the system. There just hasn't yet been that killer app (Think Breath of the Wild or Mario Odyssey for the Switch) that has made me decide to buy the system. And a lot of other people feel the same way. Now if RE9 is a PS5 exclusive I will definitely have to get one for that.

Why? They don't even have enough games to make the PS5 worth owning yet.

@Dazman If you don't like consoles don't buy them. And I completely disagree that it's anti-consumer. Companies having their own platform is why we get games like Zelda and The Last of Us. Consumers benefit when companies compete with each other to sell platforms.

@Dazman "Exclusives" are about 95% of new games that are actually worth playing. Nintendo and Sony have incentive to make system selling games. If you take consoles away and exclusives with them. You're going to see a whole lot more live service garbage.

Aonuma knows what he's talking about. Zelda doesn't need to be a story first game. There are other ones that can do that. Ace Attorney Trilogy is really good and you should play it.

@-wc- Remember pausing all the time for the Iron boots in the water temple? Zelda has had issues like this forever. The fact that dealing with a menu is the worst part of the game goes to show how sound the rest of it is. Nobody was complaining about the menus in Sonic 06. There were quite a lot of other more glaring issues to complain about.

@Kiyata Interesting. Back in 2017 I did get Mario Odyssey from Amazon a day before release. I was playing my copy a day early and my brother had to watch me while waiting for his.

I don't get it. When scantily clad characters are covered up a little bit people get mad and claim its censorship. But then people got mad when they uncensored Paper Mario by reincluding a trans character that was supposed to be there from the beginning. Do you people want censorship or not?

Not until Yoshi's Woolly World, Twilight Princess HD, and Wind Waker HD are ported. Until then the Wii U yet lives.

My GameCube adapter always reads one controller as two after the update. My brother and I used this to do a match where we each controlled two characters with our one controller each. I won.

The fact we never got a sequel to Rayman Legends is proof that there is no God.

This makes me want the game more. I played so much Mario Party DS back in the day. It brings me absolute pleasure that people are experiencing online today what I would experience on the school bus back then.

I really think all of these leaks are why Nintendo doesn't announce development partners beforehand anymore. They're trying to stamp out leaks and are trying to keep as much info close to the chest as they can. Leaks are fun for fans. But you have to remember that they happen because someone who has trust placed in them is breaking that trust.

And their recent Switch update totally messed up a bunch of people's GameCube adapters. Mine always reads my one GameCube controller as two controllers now ever since Switch 19.0. Nintendo needs to fix that.

There's been an attempt at 6 revisionism to try and critically reevaluate it. People trying to claim that its a bad RE game but a good action game. I must say I disdain that attempt. It's just not good. Even as far as third person shooters go it isn't very good. The truth is that a guy chasing you around a dinner table with a shovel in RE7 is a million times more intense than literally anything in RE6.

I don't know why you can't map some echoes to a few buttons. This was something that was figured out in 1998 with Ocarina of Time.

Until you play Breath of the Wild on the Wii U. I ain't wanna hear no complaints about frame rate.
