@Dee123 Just because your own country has issues doesn't make you unable to criticize the issues of others. Japan absolutely has a toxic work culture. It's a huge reason their suicide rates and birth rates are some of the worst in the World. Expulsion rooms are a part of that toxic culture.

@Coversnail Nintendo usually doesn't do one to one conversions of currency for their prices. They usually price each console specifically for the region. So some regions essentially pay more and some pay less. At least that's how it was with the 3ds.

Hopefully trade war shenanigans won't raise the price. I think $399.99 would be perfectly acceptable.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Xbox is making more money from supporting the Switch than they are on the actual Xbox.

Nintendo needs to find a new team to make Donkey Kong games. Retro is busy now and Rare doesn't exist as far as I'm concerned. But we need more Donkey Kong.

It's always been astounding to me that Microsoft bought the Banjo IP to not make Banjo games.

Look at the bright side folks. When NSO inevitably shuts down someday you won't even be able to play classic games on your Switch at all! Thanks Nintendo!

@electrolite77 Why did Microsoft shut down the xbox live servers for the original xbox then? People had to pay to use them. Yet the servers were shut down regardless. Any online service has a shelf life. It will shut down eventually. We have so many examples of exactly that happening.

@BTB20 the same reason Nintendo shut down DS wifi, Wii wifi, 3ds wifi, Wii U wifi, the DSi shop, the Wii shop, the 3ds eshop, and the Wii U eshop. It costs money to keep those services running. And eventually Nintendo won’t keep paying to keep them up. If I can’t play Smash Bros Brawl on wifi right now, why on earth would you think NSO will stay up forever when no other Nintendo online service has?

@ibookboyuk Nope. It's worse for preservation. NSO will still have to be shut down at some point. Or games will be delisted when licenses expire. At least with the Wii U and 3ds virtual console you still get to keep and play the games that you bought and downloaded. Once NSO shuts down all of those games will be completely unavailable.

I still wish that's what it was. At least give me the option to buy them individually. I still use my Wii U for retro games because I absolutely abhor the idea of subscription models for games.

I'm so happy. The original Nier was such a lovely underrated gem. I never thought anything more would ever come of the IP. The fact it got an amazing sequel and that the series has sold so well just makes me so happy.

I remember when they showed that CG trailer all those years ago. Everyone was so hyped. And I was like "They didn't show any gameplay." People gotta learn that a CG trailer means they don't have anything real to show.
