never liked Sonic Superstars. Levels where way to lonng. Most of them had some good ideas but they drag on for way to long and gets repetative. Boss battles where also to long and boring, and the Soundtrack, one of the worst ever for a Sonic Game.
@PKDuckman "This adjustment is due to ongoing global trade and tariff changes that delayed shipment of the components for our Day One and Collector’s Editions. Iam pretty sure that a lot of people will buy the Day one edition.
I usually dont care much about graphics but this look like Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U back in 2014 and the Wii U was on the same level as PS3 from almost 20 years ago.
Dont like the art style. Why has everything in 2d be Cel-shading these days? And i dont like all the effects shown, when you hit someone, its just to much of everything.
So after the first week sales of 1.5 million, it slow down a lot. 2 million is decent, but it was realesed on all plattforms. Sonic as a brand, is much bygger then the succes of the games.
Expensive or not, DK Return on the Switch its the best way to play the game on, with its sharper graphics, better controls and the 3DS stages. The game is still a master piece, one of the best 2d plattformers ever made. Very glad that it performs well and has higher first week sales then the Switch version of Tropical Freeze, and probably a much higher digital sale.
One big problem was that before Sega realesed their own Mega Drive/ Genesis Mini, they where a bunch of other really ***** realeses, like Sega Mega Drive Flashback and a buncj of handheld machines that Sega allowd to be realesed. When they finally realesed their own, i think the the damage was already done. We never heard of any sales number from the first Mega Drive mini so we can assume that sales where far from the Nes and Snes mini
I wish this game would have sold better. But its a blast to say. I understand if some people are missing the mini games and stuff, but for me, Monkey ball has always been about the single player adventure and this games really nails it. 200 levels, most of them, very good, and many other challenges.
@NinjaSyao Agree, it was also realesed in color versions om The Game Gear and Nes. If you liked that game, i can recomend The Smurfs Nightmare for the Gameboy Color. It has same music composer, with another great soundtrack. IGN gave scored it 8/10 back in the days.
One of my favorite plattformers for the Gameboy Color is The Smurfs nightmare, i also liked The Smurfs for the Sega MD and Snes from 1994. Good to see that the Smurfs games are in a good period again. The 3d plattformers from recent years was great, and the Kart Racing game was also decent.
I only have fifa 19 on the Switch but I think I will wait for Fifa on the Switch 2. Or or two games every decade in the Fifa series is fine with me as I only care for the gameplay.
No need for a graphic as games from that era still looks great. But some kind of collection would be good. I really like all 3 games, but the Chaos Emerald hunt and how to get them was totally garbage and frustrating, at lest in the first 2 games. If they could make that more fair, then it would be like new games.
Sounds great. There are a few others rewiews out there with scores around 7-8 so now i feel secure. Just pre order the physical version on Amazon. 63 dollars in total, a bit much but I like to support phydical realeses.
@WaveBoy I have played all games. If we talking into account that the first games have limited lifes and countinues, (and last years remakes and this one dont have) I would say that this is a very challenging game, i even had harder times with these levels then the first game. (I think Monkey ball 2 is harder, but often for the wrong reason) Anyway, this game has 200 levels, with 100 of them being unlocked after you finish story mode and many of those are very hard. Even a lot of levels in the first 100 are quite hard. A lot of monkey ball real pro players on youtube are also claimimg that Banana Rumble is as hard, or nearly as hard as the hardest games in the series. And then you have Challenge mode, witch is extreamly challenging. There is so much to do here for a singel player.
Got the first 6 figures but is this a joke? Only blind box? There is noway that i will buy these, if iam not sure that i will get all of them in one order.
@SilverM Agree. Great game, but despite good rewiws, i feel like the overall hype has been very low. I wonder how much Banana Mania and Banana Blitz HD sold. No words from Sega.
@WaveBoy Yes but those are the arcade versions and I prefer the console versions and I would prefer them on a physical cardrige. But its better then nothing i guess.
I dident think nobody could have fun with Monkey Ball 3D. I mean, the challenge is really pathetic. I beat the game without dying Once. At least, banana Blitz gets quite hard at the end.
The first game is the best but I do prefer playing it on Banana Mania as you have infinitive countinues. I died like 1000 times on the master levels.
Never liked monkey ball 2 as the level design was way to gimmic and often felt that pure luck was the way to sucess.
I really like Banana Blitz HD. Its different but in a good way. The jump button, the themed worlds and bosses made a little bit more of an adventure, but its a great game for what it is. Looking forward to the new game a lot.
The Nes game is great, but thiis is basically just one game in the collection absolut a gameboy port with fewer levels, not worth to play at all. So what we got is a 30 year old Nes game for $34.99. That is just insane.
Looking forward to this a lot. I think Banana Blitz waa a great game for the Switch, much better then most rewiews thought. . Not aa good as the first Game on Gamecube, (and mania) but it was something different and I liked the themed worlds, the jumping ability and bosses. It was more of and plattform adventure and It was pure fun on the Switch and very challenging at the end. This look like it will countinue in that direction. Great to see a Switch exclusive from Sega also.
The first seconds, i was hoping for a realese for the Castle of Illusion 2013 remake as its not avalible on any Nintendo Console. I was very disappointed when i realized what it was.
One of the best 2d plattformers of all time, Return is almost as good but the sounstrack on TF is a lot better. I hope we get a new game soon as the game sold so well.
You keep postning this for every quarter but some of the numbers arent updated. Tropical freeze ia listed as 4.12 million as of dec 2021 but the lastest figure is from Dec 2022 with 4.62 million sold.
@Moontrap Chronicles is a collection of this new Switch Remake and also included The Orginal Mega Drive version, the GBA version and a Nes game called Over Horizon. Legend of Steel empire is just the new Remake. I will go for Legend only. The other versions are more or less the same game anyway apart from Graphics.
@stevep Yes, and the Gameboy port is just the same game, but only only half as many levels. Really pointless to play if you have the Nes game. i really like The Nes game but paying $35 for one single 30 year old NES port is really not justified. Agree that they should have included Baby Felix Haloween, as there arent really any other games to include. I dont think its a great game but the Soundtrack is very good, and i guess, most havent even heard about it.
I really like Felix The Cat on the Nes, but there is really no point in playing the Gameboy Game, as its just the same, but shorter. I still cant believe Konami havent realesed a Tiny Toon collection yet. They realesed 10 games in the series in the 90s and most of them where really good.
it felt very old already at realese and i never bought one. 8 years after the Game gear, we got a new system with inferior graphics and still no back light, that was just tragic. After the realese of the GBA SP 101 model in 2005, when Nintendo finally made a decent screan, i have played a lot of GBC games.
