Re: Random: Is This Why We Never Got DLC For Super Mario Party On Switch?

It's almost like most of Nintendo's development studios are located in a country that's 98% Japanese and less than .1% of the population is black.

This isn't some weird thing, go look at the credits of FF7 remake and tell me how many non-Japanese names there are that aren't voice actors or involved with localization.

Can't be any worse than when Hogsmede opened at Islands of Adventures and the line to enter was all the way to the Citywalk parking structure.
@Baker1000
There looks to be room for a small expansion. But, don't expect anything other than Donkey Kong in Japan. Universal Orlando after opening Epic Universe with DK and Mario, is rumored to be planning Zelda and Pokémon areas in the other 2 parks, but don't expect it to open until mid to late 2020's.

It looks pretty impressive how much they squeezed into this considering the expansion space they had. USJ is very much landlocked, and what used to be a parking lot is their last bit of land that can be used for expansion (other than a small bit of land seemingly set aside for future Nintendo expansion).

Only real way to make this bigger would've been to immediately use the Nintendo expansion space immediately OR demolish WWoHP (Not happening) or Waterworld (not happening either, because guest satisfaction is surprisingly dependent on this one show).

I'd describe soul as something filled with personality and has its own unique style. Most of modern Atari's games feel like they were made by committee and rushed out to cash into a hot trend. This game really reminds me of those mobile games you see on Instragram ads...

well without the Engrish.

Sega (non-Sonic games) and Capcom, can still make games oozing with tons of personality, but I consider most of EA game's pretty generic. Though at least they can churn out something like the Simpsons Game or Star Wars Fallen Order from time to time.

Last year in Japan the 3DS sold around 30,000 units.

Just a few years ago that's what the 3DS was selling every week.

Very few people are buying 3DS games in Japan. There are no more planned physical releases in Japan with the last planned one being cancelled last summer.

The 3DS is on life support in every market, 3DS sales look to be around 50% less this year compared to 2019 which was already sluggish for the 3DS.

With how constantly Metroid Prime Trilogy is mentioned by the rumor mill, I think it's replaced an official Mother 3 English localization as the go-to most overly repeated Nintendo "leak".

Reminds me, it's been a while since I've seen a new Mother 3 rumor. I think the last time I saw was in January of 2017 just before the Switch launched.

Re: Capcom's Resident Evil Series Has Doubled The Lifetime Sales Of The Company's Former Champion

"They went from giving Nintendo dedicated support with games developed especially for the 3DS, exclusive games that each sold 4m+"
Actually only 3 out of the 5 MH games sold 4 million+ on the 3DS, neither Resident Evil Revelations or any of the made for 3DS Phoenix Wright games sold above a million.
" Capcom released a list of their best selling games and not one have sold even close to 1m on the Switch. MHGU is their highest and that's under 500k."
Ultra Street Fighter II The New Challengers sold 500K as of September 2017.
Also for all of 2018, MH XX (GU) only listed 3DS sales on Capcom's IR site and stayed stagnant at around 1.8 million units, but when the Switch version was added to the total in early 2019 the total went up to 3 million (now its 3.4 million).
We know the Japanese version sold at least sold 350,000 by September 2017 and the international version released in August 2018 would've caused a big spike in sales for the Switch version. Very likely that the Switch version sold around 1 million copies by the end of 2018.
Or maybe, the 3DS version got more popular around the holiday season for whatever reason and caused a sudden explosion of sales for that Monster Hunter. LOL
EDIT:
I should've made my feeling's clear on Capcom's Switch support much sooner. It is very much lacking compared to Capcom's 3DS support (which was already lacking compared to Nintendo's past handhelds, outside of Monster Hunter). With only one new game (Mega Man 11) so far, by now Capcom should've at least a completely new installment of MH for Switch, but nada.

I just don't think spreading misinformation is the best way to counter their lackluster lineup. Ciao

@Jhomesjones
What are you talking about? All three major games released last year on the 3DS (ML BIS 3DS, Kirby's Epic Yarn, and Persona Q2) all received advertising through all of Nintendo's official channels (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, etc). There's been plenty of Switch games (both from Nintendo and major 3rrd parties) that have gotten less advertising.

And can you please tell me what 3DS games coming out this year need an advertising campaign and I'm not talking about "3D Circle Maker Pro SD Hunter" developed by two people and has one star on the 3DS Eshop.

"seeming to take actual joy in their suffering."
I need a citation on this one.
