@Chris55
Mario Kart will be that ride that you're hoping for with its AR elements that's never been done before along with all the interactivity points that require you to solve puzzles to get to the final boss compared to the comparatively simplistic wands that required you to do a motion and then a thing would happen.

Most theme park sections these days only open with one really big ride and one or two more simplistic rides. I. E Cars Land with Radiator Springs Racers and the two flat rides and Harry Potter with two decade old rollercoasters.

This is meant to be a sight seeing tour with no height limit that has very high capacity that gives some kinetic movement to the land. It's basically the Peoplemover, but with traditional Omnimover vehicles.

Mario Kart will be the real E Ticket if y'all don't want a kiddie ride. Or go on any of the other thrill rides like Forbidden Journey, Hollywood Dream The Ride, or the Flying Dinosaur.

If you just hate seeing this ride, Universal Hollywood will not have Yoshi, only Mario Kart Bowser's Challenge. They've already used the ride system for the Secret Lives of of Pets dark ride.

Definitely not an animatronic for either, there's pictures of Toad walking to his meet and greet spot with markers around him and being able to move around like any normal character. And Princess Peach has been shown to move around her gazebo and pose just like any person could.
Here's a gallery of pics:

If these were animatronics they'd be bolted down to the ground with giant rails around them so people couldn't destroy the million dollar robots.

Two rides:
Mario Kart Bowser's Challenge: the ride that Miyamoto was walking through the queue at the end of the presentation. Similar idea to RSR at California Adventure, but winning is based on using the items and drifting at the right time.

Yoshi's Adventure: An outdoor omnimover which has some dark ride scenes based on the Yoshi's Island games. Yellow pipe at the base of Beanpole Mountain that serves at the entrance can be seen behind Miyamoto plus the larger sized Yoshi ride vehicles can be seen too.

Donkey Kong has also started construction which will have a roller coaster where you "jump the tracks".

For anyone who's worried about the size, it should have around the same walkable area as Diagon Alley at Universal Orlando.

Especially helped by the retail space that is on the subterranean level (such as the Toad House restaurant and the POW/Question Block factory themed shop).

@Rifuzilla
It will initially (other than possible Pikmin references?).

Likely if SNW is successful in Florida they'll have multiple areas in different parks similar to Harry Potter (Wizarding World, Diagon Alley, and if Epic Universe still happens Fantastic Beasts).

Zelda was rumored to replace Lost Continent and Pokémon Kidz Zone, but that was before COVID made everything messy.

Here's a list of rumored Mario Kart locations represented in Mario kart: Koopa's Challenge
Bowser's Castle (Entrance and queue, Dungeon, and start line)
Some type of Canyon course (Bone Dry Dunes? Cheese Land?)
Piranha Plant Pipeline
Dolphin Shoals
Twisted Mansion
Grumble Volcano
Cloudtop Cruise
Rainbow Road

Sorry no Baby Park.

Re: Nintendo Announces Super Nintendo World Direct Livestream

I know it says no game content, but Universal and Nintendo have been hyping the connectiveness between SNW and Nintendo's consoles for some time. I don't think it's coincidence that the SM3DW port is coming out the same time as this is opening at USJ when both have a ride/mode where Bowser is heavily prominent.

@nessisonett
To be fair, optimistically the one in Hollywood won't be open until after the vaccine is very widely distributed (winter 2021/ summer 2022).
Who knows when Florida will be open.
Plus Japan's doing pretty good last I heard when it comes to controlling COVID and they've had their theme parks open for months.

You don't see what the poor lower class rising up against a privileged richer class has anything to do with A. Racism and B. Modern American party lines vs. that of Twain's time?

Reason I bring those specific examples up, because both were very controversial statements Twain made in his day

Especially in his later part of his life, Twain was all for the underdog, those oppressed by the rich and powerful (sound familiar?) He often got labeled as a socialist, because of his firm belief in equality.

Other than some dated passages from books over a century old, what makes you think Twain wouldn't be considered a liberal today?

I count at least four games in the trailer (1944, 19XX, Cyberbots, and Progear) from being post-1994.
While there's no way to be 100% certain, I think Darkstalkers has a high chance of being part of the initial lineup (assuming there'll be further packs down the line) and maybe one version of SF III.
If this gets future expansions, I could see them doing Marvel and Psikyo themed packs. SF III would be a definite if they do add ons.

Similar to Mega Man, he'd be a projectile heavy character. Specials would be based on the weapons you pick up (Bonfire, Crossbow, Triblade, Scythe would all be strong choices). Up recovery would be tough, but I'm sure Sakurai could think of something.

His standard attacks would include a few more weapon references (with his standard attack being the knife) along with some moves from the MvC series version of Arthur.

Final Smash would be the Golden suit.

@May_Nyan
Hypothetically, imagine you're J.K Rowling in a world without copyright. You have written the first Harry Potter and (assuming contracts still work in this world somehow) you've gotten a publisher to publish the book without copying and ripping you off.

It's a success and Warner Bros. wants to make a movie version of it, but change several things that gets rid of the "spirit of Harry Potter". You of course reject, but you can't stop them because you don't actually have any exclusive right to the property.

Warner Bros. makes Harry Potter Meets the Care Bears and it's a huge box office success. You've been blacklisted in Hollywood, because you're seen as a trouble maker. All of Hollywood makes hit after hit on unofficial Harry Potter sequels while you're forced to work retail to make ends meet (despite creating the most famous character of all time) no one cares about the official Harry Potter sequels, because the movie Potter is now the "real Potter".

There's still plenty of ways for an individual artist to be screwed over by the big corporations. Sure artists work couldn't technically be taken away from them, but it could be stolen without even ever having worked for them because no one has a copyright.

Also on your last point, individual artists can exist right now without the backing of a large company. We live in a golden age of media that doesn't have to be overseen by corporates backer.

What stops from most directors like Christopher Nolan hopping ship even right now? It all boils down to money.

The big media empires, even in a world without copyright, would still have all the dough. A company like Disney or EA might even be richer as they don't have to buy companies anymore to get the games they can just release the stuff on their own.

It'd take years for an individual artist to make enough dough to fund a multi million picture in what would take a studio a day. Artists would still need to go through the mainstream entertainment industry to create art that can successfully grab people's attention through marketing, excellent production values, correct distribution, etc.

And no, abolishing companies and establishing communism wouldn't fix this problem. But that's a topic that really shouldn't be discussed here for the sake of moderators, like @Eel.

Considering it's a holiday week where they're probably selling tons of Switches and games (as normally expected for any console maker in November-December) there's probably been plenty of worse weeks for Nintendo (like losing Iwata and the aftermath, announcement that the Wii U underperformed, E3 2003, etc.)

Maybe worse week for the PR of their legal team though. For good publicity they should C&D something relatively non-controversial like a fan game. LOL

Epic Universe would've been the third park at Universal Orlando. A clone of Super Nintendo World was confirmed for the park. It would've been 50/50 licensed properties (Nintendo and Fantastic Beasts) and in-house Universal properties (Monsters and How To Train Your Dragon).

With Epic Universe likely being indefinitely delayed, Universal is rumored to build SNW in one of its two existing Florida parks.
