Re: Splatoon is Still Number One in Japan as Wii U Sales Increase Again

@Ryu_Niiyama
I understand your point of view, actually, so don't fret. That said, the other shorthand happens to be a brand of candy here in the Philippines...

Back on-topic: Part of the appeal behind the Japanese squiddos are the fantastic Miiverse drawings they craft. It's ridiculous how good some of them are, I've seen dozens at this point! I better touch up on my Miiverse art before I get Splatoon...

Re: Squid Girl Collaboration Set to Invade Splatoon in August

@Kaze_Memaryu I, for one, would like to assist Ika Musume in invading the human realm. That's an idea for another single-player campaign!

Ika Musume can shoot black ink aside from whatever color of ink her gun has! Assist the humans in fighting back against the invading menace! Remember, don't get caught in friendly fire, water damages you too! There, another campaign idea.

Of course, you still have all the characters' costumes to unlock, hehehe.

I'm having too much fun with this idea.

Re: Konami Not Turning Its Back On Consoles After All, Says Sorry For Causing Such A Fuss

TheWPCTraveler

Yeah, that's what you get when you try to emulate the reaction mobile has effected on Nintendo stock. I'd do that if it got my stock to trade limit-up twice with additional gains on a third straight day, too.

I really rue what they did to Hudson Soft, though. I know that a lot of former employees are now working for Nd Cube, but all they seem to be working on are party games. I do believe that Hudson Soft used to develop Harvest Moon, why don't they work with Natsume for that?

Re: Exclusive: Slightly Mad Studio Head Ian Bell Sets The Record Straight On Project CARS Wii U

TheWPCTraveler

@Quorthon I very much still believe that they should've set the record straight a long time ago, however. But, since we're sticking with the Pandora's box we both opened up...

...I'll be honest, I bought The Wonderful 101 before I bought my Wii U.
I'll be honest, I bought my 3DS because my brother and I love Fire Emblem.

Unfortunately, I'm just that - part of a niche. A very small niche.
To be honest, I'm fine with the release schedule of the 3DS, but I can't deny that third-parties make up that entire lineup I care about.
(I'd also find it easier to care about my Wii U if I had a good SRPG for it that was out now, something that Code Name STEAM should've been for, just a thought. But who cares, right? America doesn't care, Europe doesn't care, Japan doesn't care.)

Re: Exclusive: Slightly Mad Studio Head Ian Bell Sets The Record Straight On Project CARS Wii U

@Quorthon Yes, and I simply don't care for either party in this situation. Both of them can lose for all I care, Nintendo for screwing up with their dev relations and marketing, Slightly Mad Studios for focusing on graphics over accurate car simulation.

(At this point, I'll go slightly off topic, but I can't think of anywhere else to get this off my chest.)

I'm honestly pissed at you for referencing the M-Z-P trio at this point, but what can I do about it? On the Wii U, the only games I care about are published by Nintendo (and the ones that aren't happen to be walled behind a region lock). On the 3DS, I'm stretched thin trying to go through the JRPG backlog, but again, I'm just one person. I have my circle of friends with 3DSes, sure, but they play on multiple platforms too.

Off the top of my head, the games I have yet to buy are Etrian MD, SMT: DS II Record Breaker, A-Train 3D, Lord of Magna, and EO II Untold, as well as that Hatsune Miku game.

But, there are 50 million other 3DS units, and at an attach rate of slightly less than 5 games a unit, well, you can't really make much of an impact.
