@rjejr I'm betting on Splatoon sales in Japan actually increasing week-on-week as Nintendo is still trying to sort stock problems. If not, it's awfully close!
Maybe 300k in four weeks, in Japan of all places, isn't a stretch after all...
@Shiryu When was this? I'm going to try looking for this, thanks.
I'd be honest. I honestly liked how they hit on the Wii U, Remote Play and SmartGlass "second-screen gimmick" and turned around and said that theirs is different and better!
@Ryu_Niiyama I understand your point of view, actually, so don't fret. That said, the other shorthand happens to be a brand of candy here in the Philippines...
Back on-topic: Part of the appeal behind the Japanese squiddos are the fantastic Miiverse drawings they craft. It's ridiculous how good some of them are, I've seen dozens at this point! I better touch up on my Miiverse art before I get Splatoon...
@Ryu_Niiyama @DiscoGentleman Yes, I do realize it is so. I shall be careful not to use that here, and to restrict its usage to more politically incorrect areas on the internet.
That said, I never quite understood how it became a slur. As far as I know, it's shorthand for "Japanese."
@ekreig Day 175: I have found a person who has a clear preference of spoons over forks This hunt has tested my patience thus far, but it has all been rewarded...somehow.
There is also another person under suspicion of such preferences, but alas, I am too busy playing Persona Q to care.
@Kaze_Memaryu I, for one, would like to assist Ika Musume in invading the human realm. That's an idea for another single-player campaign!
Ika Musume can shoot black ink aside from whatever color of ink her gun has! Assist the humans in fighting back against the invading menace! Remember, don't get caught in friendly fire, water damages you too! There, another campaign idea.
Of course, you still have all the characters' costumes to unlock, hehehe.
@Quorthon Yo-Kai Watch Busters. Exclusive Japanese exclusives that will never be localizedâ„¢. Perhaps, Persona Emblem may actually be ready for a summer release.
Yeah, that's what you get when you try to emulate the reaction mobile has effected on Nintendo stock. I'd do that if it got my stock to trade limit-up twice with additional gains on a third straight day, too.
I really rue what they did to Hudson Soft, though. I know that a lot of former employees are now working for Nd Cube, but all they seem to be working on are party games. I do believe that Hudson Soft used to develop Harvest Moon, why don't they work with Natsume for that?
So, the Bokujo Monogatari team works for Marvelous. The Rune Factory team now works for Marvelous after Neverland shut down, and worked on Forbidden Magna (Lord of Magna: Maiden Heaven)
I have absolutely no idea what Natsume is going to do with whatever remains of their portfolio.
@Quorthon I very much still believe that they should've set the record straight a long time ago, however. But, since we're sticking with the Pandora's box we both opened up...
...I'll be honest, I bought The Wonderful 101 before I bought my Wii U. I'll be honest, I bought my 3DS because my brother and I love Fire Emblem.
Unfortunately, I'm just that - part of a niche. A very small niche. To be honest, I'm fine with the release schedule of the 3DS, but I can't deny that third-parties make up that entire lineup I care about. (I'd also find it easier to care about my Wii U if I had a good SRPG for it that was out now, something that Code Name STEAM should've been for, just a thought. But who cares, right? America doesn't care, Europe doesn't care, Japan doesn't care.)
@Quorthon Yes, and I simply don't care for either party in this situation. Both of them can lose for all I care, Nintendo for screwing up with their dev relations and marketing, Slightly Mad Studios for focusing on graphics over accurate car simulation.
(At this point, I'll go slightly off topic, but I can't think of anywhere else to get this off my chest.)
I'm honestly pissed at you for referencing the M-Z-P trio at this point, but what can I do about it? On the Wii U, the only games I care about are published by Nintendo (and the ones that aren't happen to be walled behind a region lock). On the 3DS, I'm stretched thin trying to go through the JRPG backlog, but again, I'm just one person. I have my circle of friends with 3DSes, sure, but they play on multiple platforms too.
Off the top of my head, the games I have yet to buy are Etrian MD, SMT: DS II Record Breaker, A-Train 3D, Lord of Magna, and EO II Untold, as well as that Hatsune Miku game.
But, there are 50 million other 3DS units, and at an attach rate of slightly less than 5 games a unit, well, you can't really make much of an impact.
Just refund if you aren't going to give a Wii U version. They paid for a Wii U version, they're supposed to get a Wii U version. A partial refund would be fine in my book.

Re: Rare Replay on Xbox One Will Include 30 Games, Including Classics from Nintendo Systems
@HollywoodHogan This, and part of that cost must be to lure more people to the XB1.
That said...it would be nice if we finally get a permanent price drop on the VC releases thanks to this being competition.
I'll do the same as I've done for games on consoles I never plan on owning, giving this as a suggestion to people who do.
Re: Guide: Here Are the Live Nintendo-Related Streams We'll Share Today
@FragRed It won't do well on PS4, and its niche is filled on XB1.
In other words, they have no option but to go to the Blue Ocean!
Re: Weirdness: Bethesda’s Fallout 4 Features Mini-Games Inspired By Classics Such As Donkey Kong & Missile Command
I'd be honest. I honestly liked how they hit on the Wii U, Remote Play and SmartGlass "second-screen gimmick" and turned around and said that theirs is different and better!
Re: The First Mother Game Is Finally Coming To The West As EarthBound Beginnings
Glad I held off on playing Mother!
Now, IF you excuse me...
MOTHER 3 CONFIRMED!
Re: Official Nintendo UK Store Flogs Rare amiibo in Bundles
@Gerbwmu I was betting on STEAM having at least 10k copies shipped in Japan, it'll be worth $5 there in five years!
Re: Splatoon Grabs Fifth Place in NPD Results as amiibo Leads Toys-to-Life Sales
I hear that Splatoon sold roughly 136k copies, and that the Wii U sold roughly 43k units.
Not good results, but not bad either.
Re: Nintendo Opens E3 2015 Miiverse Community
I sure hope for 101 more Wonderful things at E3!
Re: 3DS Hits 15 Million Sales Landmark in the US
@Sanicranfast Media Create tells otherwise. If it's true was at 18 million end-2014 in Japan, and YtD sales for the 3DS gives us roughly 500k...
It'll hit by the end of the year, most likely.
Re: The Legend of Legacy is Heading to 3DS in the Americas
I'd love to be a king who says that exact line! Go explore something!
At this rate, I'll buy more Atlus titles than Nintendo titles...
Re: Review: Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure (3DS eShop)
Nice, the multiplayer stuff seals the deal. I've heard this title has Download Play, too.
I'm glad I held off on Dr. Luigi.
Now, about your Lord of Magna review...I'm almost done with the game, and I haven't seen a review yet...
Re: Rumour: Could Female Link Be In Hyrule Warriors On 3DS?
I'd love it if Female Link had the same artwork as Link!
Re: Nintendo Canada Seems Pretty Pleased With Splatoon's Reception, Thinks Company Is "Delivering The Fun"
Whoa, the big news here is that we might actually see a 500 thousand sales opening week for Splatoon.
Never mind the third-party stuff, that's for E3!
Re: Splatoon is Still Number One in Japan as Wii U Sales Increase Again
@Danrenfroe2016 If you want it to stop, it'll do so naturally.
You know, when SHTF come the financial collapse. I can't wait until it happens, I'm a few steps away from winning tons of cash from options!

Re: Splatoon is Still Number One in Japan as Wii U Sales Increase Again
Considering how every match us filled with Japs, and how the Miiverse community is filled with fantastic artwork, I can't say I'm surprised.
But, wow, quite a few mangaka have jumped onto Splatoon! Perhaps they want to ride on that crossover thing Ika Musume herself started!
Re: Free DLC Heading to Affordable Space Adventures, With Plans for Future Paid Content
So, this turns into Good Value Space Adventures Super Collection HD+ Ultimate with DLC? I approve.
Re: Rumour: ZombiU Is Shedding Its Wii U Exclusivity To Infect The PlayStation 4 And Xbox One
ZombiU is fine, it's just a shame Nintendo didn't do more to help it along further.
That said, I should pick it up sometime. I'm still salty that I can't get a physical copy of Pikmin 3.
Re: Yup, Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 Is Definitely Skipping Wii U
Ah, the salt mines have opened early!
That said, CoD is not my kind of game, and the audience simply isn't there on Wii U...
...but salt is salt, no matter how few.
Re: Reggie Fils-Aime Promises 3DS E3 Reveals While Being as Vague as Possible
@Lalivero We all know they're working on Mario Golf U!

Re: Nintendo Download: 4th June (North America)
@Zach777 Oh, it's actually good? Well, looks like I'll stop trying to find a copy of Rune Factory IV, then.
It feels as if there are a lot of GBA JRPGs that are overlooked. I want them to come back to us, even as a sort of VC release.

I'm having too much fun with this idea.
Re: Splatoon Producer Inks Out Reasons For Lack Of Voice Chat And Staggered Content Roll-Out
Yeah, good luck using voice chat with Japs, various Europeans and Latin Americans of various shapes, tones, and sizes, and your classic Americans!
Re: Splatoon Storms to Top Spot in Japanese Charts With Six Figure Sales
@readyletsgo Mandatory happiness for Xbone owners. You can't opt out, it's Microsoft!
Re: Splatoon Storms to Top Spot in Japanese Charts With Six Figure Sales
I'm more surprised at Psycho-Pass getting in the Top dozen than Splatoon moving 17k Wii U, to be honest.
Glad to see it do well.
Re: Splatoon Grabs Second Place in UK Chart Début
@kiigu COMG pre-orders indicate 150k FW sales. Even if it falls short of that number, it's still a far larger figure than what 3D World did.
Re: Fire Emblem If Allows You to Build and Manage a Town, All Four Current FE amiibo Supported
@DreamyViridi I'm not going to lie, I honestly secretly wanted to see Pokémon-amie applied to Fire Emblem.
Here's to hoping that they didn't spend most of their dev time on this and not balancing the game.
@abe_hikura SpotPass let you unlock tons of characters from older FEs.

Fire Emblem: If, Yo-Kai Watch Busters.
Sounds like Nintendo would have a hard time topping even that.
Re: Official Super Mario Bros. 30th Anniversary Website Provides Plenty of History, Footage and Lovely Pixel Art
I don't care about having a true 3D Mario on the Wii U anymore, just give me a good Wario World or Wario Land and I'm fine.
Re: Natsume Planning Wii U and 3DS E3 Reveals, More Harvest Moon DLC and Loads of GBA VC GamesÂ

Re: Assault Android Cactus is Blasting Its Way to Wii U This Summer
I'll give them that they know how to market, the "Cactus" part got me here.
And now I'm sold, grrrrr...
Re: Review: Splatoon (Wii U)
@GuyWithTheGames Because they don't want to quarter-(mule) the score.
Personally, I'd wait until the updates start dropping.

Re: Exclusive: Slightly Mad Studio Head Ian Bell Sets The Record Straight On Project CARS Wii U
@Quorthon Nintendo lost an opportunity to profit, however slightly, from having another selling point for the Wii U at Slightly Mad Studios' expense
Have I made myself clear enough yet?
Re: Exclusive: Slightly Mad Studio Head Ian Bell Sets The Record Straight On Project CARS Wii U
@DiscoGentleman I suppose that they could've worked with Nintendo to figure out what could be done with the optimization of their game.
It also comes off as a lost opportunity to me that this could've been a Wii U exclusive after the PS360 cancellations, oh well.
Re: Exclusive: Slightly Mad Studio Head Ian Bell Sets The Record Straight On Project CARS Wii U
Also, refund.
Just refund if you aren't going to give a Wii U version. They paid for a Wii U version, they're supposed to get a Wii U version.
A partial refund would be fine in my book.
Re: Exclusive: Slightly Mad Studio Head Ian Bell Sets The Record Straight On Project CARS Wii U
"Please, understand."
At least disclose that you have that amount of knowledge on the system.
Though, that said, Nintendo should've approached them too.
Re: Devil's Third Will Be Much More Than Just Another Shooter, According To Creator Tomonobu Itagaki
Nintendo should've bought them out, really.
Would've been nice to see a few more games for 3DS while we're at it.
Re: Nintendo Wanted To Make Its Humble Bundle A Global Offer, Expects To Do So "Eventually"

And, maybe, Affordable Space Adventures.
