@Ernest_The_Crab ... You do realize that they're supervised by Nintendo SPD, right? Well, before the merger of EAD and SPD, which formed EPD. So still supervised by Nintendo.
Let's not forget how rushed Amiibo Festival was. Nd Cube developed that, too.
@rjejr amiibo festival probably won't even break 50k lifetime including digital. It's that much of a disaster.
Corporate consumers of data would probably prefer to have divisions in SKU considered (the Persona Q LE, for instance, is extremely common even after a year and a half, and its price has dropped down to $40-50). I don't really understand them not splitting X/Y and other Pokémon games the same way, though.
@rjejr Different SKU. It's why Limited Edition releases are also counted separately, like what happened with the Fire Emblem if and Pokémon OR/AS Special Editions.
Low Price Editions are actually fairly common in Japan...if the game didn't get its price depressed by the second-hand market.
@HSuzumiyaVI So they're waiting for TGS to distribute dev kits? Okay, please explain to me where it is a good thing to allow third-parties just six months to develop games?
@AVahne Isn't Kaneda already making another game, but with some SRPG Maker engine?
EDIT: Oops, knee-jerk reaction. I found out that she's the one responsible for the radiant Tellius saga. If they bring back their artist, as well as Yuka Tsujiyoko as the composer, then it's a done deal!
@Rei Yes, it's been the case apart from the GB/C. That said, support for the GBA continued on longer than that for the GCN did, as was the case with the DS and Wii, and is the case with the Wii U and 3DS.
Oh, and thanks for the info on Macross. I found myself listening to an arrangement of "Do You Remember Love?" lately because it happened to be part of a collection by Melodic Taste, so the Macross movie got bumped from my backlog to the fore.
@hepgius Head and Founder were the JP title translations, right? Head -> skull -> bone. Founder -> human -> flesh.
@Grumblevolcano Are the DQ VII and VIII 3DS remakes handled by Nintendo or Square Enix? DQ VII is coming around summer, I believe, so we can expect an August date on that one.
Assuming no new 3DS reveals for E3 and no new localizations (Culdcept Revolt is ripe for this, however), Pokemon Sum and Moom will be the last 3DS games to be released by Nintendo.
I want to take note of Atlus being the one publisher to hang on to the 3DS past Nintendo, though. Etrian Odyssey V probably won't make it to the holiday season.
If I didn't do stuff like using Dowsing Rods everywhere in the overworld and getting stuck on a side quest.
All things considered, it took me 55 or so hours to beat EO IV, not 45. The rest of the time there were either resets or trying to complete the game after beating Yggdrasil up.
Edit: I forgot to mention that I normally end up just sticking with a set rotation of five or six characters through an entire playthrough. Though, yes, this did mean that I ended up ignoring characters I liked (like that priestess from EO IV) and characters I didn't like (nearly everyone I ignored in PQ).
@Spoony_Tech Yeah, I guess I did tell you this before.
I'm hoping for a release around November or so, but considering every other RPG coming out, it'll probably pushed back to February 2017 or so.
@Blastcorp64 If your main complaint with EO IV is how short it is (~45 hours to beat the story felt short to me), then you'll love how much content PQ has. So, by all means, go for it. Then again, these Atlus sales are pretty common, so you probably shouldn't bother with the LE that's more than halved its original $120 price.
@Spoony_Tech I can't watch the trailer right now, but overworld access? I count at least four unique notable locations outside the main labyrinth and the city, based on the promotional wallpaper.
I'll still have to pick EO2U up, now that it's dropping in price.
Let the Animal Crossing game be Happy Home Designer but with actual, defined goals. Your transaction options will be additional furniture packs and stores for the local economy and city to flourish...rendering you more opportunities to redecorate or villagers eager to get their houses redecorated for the nth time.
Let the Fire Emblem gane be a visual novel. "Romantic" routes with characters other than yourself are locked behind a paywall or My Nintendo points. Skinship is DLC.
If thet tap into the audience that osu! enjoys on PC, that would be great! I'm one of those people who'd love these, actually. They better make the backstories just as inspiring as the ones in the DS games, too. There are quite a few that got me to break into a wide smile, too.
That said, these games never broke 300k...and we know the NCL attitude toward these sorts of games that were commercial failures...
@hoshinosammy You can forget about this one. Yo-Kai Watch may look way better, but there are two reasons behind this: 1. Art style (namely, one that is better off not using full 3D) 2. Game Freak (they appear to be reusing the engine, it seems)
@Peach64 This.
Here's to hoping Nintendo keeps overshipping 3DS titles <3
They didn't do so with the Wii U, though. Only overshipped titles are the worthless ones. (And the third-party ones, but, alas, my brother happens to be too young to "watch" them.)
@AVahne Just give them a slight but noticeable curve. That's enough to be better-endowed than Blanc but still not trigger the weird "oppai loli" label.
Blanc is already really flat anyway, so it shouldn't take much to outmatch her - just like in real life with the Wii.
@AVahne Considering how the "new" 3DS is already more powerful than the Wii, you could just endow Rom and Ram with more assets and keep their ages as is. That ought to be far more entertaining.
@TJF588 Nah, Rom and Ram will probably step up their game. About time IF finally realize it's been Nintendo's handhelds that have been holding the company together.
That said, this scheme reminds me of Austria, of which eventually turned into the dual monarchy of Austria-Hungary, which then fell apart after five years of pyrrhic victories in a war that seemed to end all wars (this later resulted in a brief accomplishment of the Grossdeutschland ideal rather than the Kleindeutschland ideal that resulted in the German Empire dominated by Prussia...) I'm afraid of my analogy being truth rather than speculation.
@DefHalan Smash Bros. DLC. Or, barring that, switch state to California (or some place with an effective sales tax of >16.7%). That said, it may not be worth the cost.
Take note, the base price is the price taken into account, so if you manage to snag a 15~20% discount on the game...
Wow, the Serbs really have it tough when it comes to Nintendo stuff. Even Greece, a glorified German puppet state, is getting Miitomo!
Why don't they launch this in the Philippines, though? It's perfect for all the gossipers here. While there are doubts that they are monetizable, they will use the application.

Re: Hands On: Digging into Harvest Moon: Skytree Village
This is surprisingly good compared to Lost Valley. It's a shame the brand has possibly been ruined.
Re: Hands On: Wide-Open Wanderlust in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
@rjejr A hot-air balloon is out of the picture considering how many Moblins you'd have to skin.
I'd rather fly on a giant peregrine falcon. Soaring through the skies of Hyrule at up to 110 miles an hour!
Re: Paper Mario: Color Splash Dated for 7th October
@-DEMISE- USD/CAD is at 1.28, so at that exchange rate, the price should be CAD 76 pre-tax...assuming the price is USD 60.

I liked the Japanese subtitle better. "Trio of Towns" feels way off to me.
Re: Kirby: Planet Robobot Passes 300,000 Sales in Japan's Media Create Results
@rjejr Different SKU. It's why Limited Edition releases are also counted separately, like what happened with the Fire Emblem if and Pokémon OR/AS Special Editions.
Low Price Editions are actually fairly common in Japan...if the game didn't get its price depressed by the second-hand market.

Code Name STEAM is a good game on the WRONG platform.
The game concept made much more sense on the Wii U, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was first pitched to be a game on that platform.
Re: Review: Choujikuu Yousai Macross: Scrambled Valkyrie (SNES)

@sillygostly Nintendo has relations with several good animation studios: SHAFT, MADHOUSE, and Production IG.
Actually, I do believe they stuck with MADHOUSE for the pre-rendered 3D animation in both Awakening and Fates, so, there's your animation studio.

I'm extremely concerned with the shape Iwata left Nintendo.
This is actually the culmination of a process of disillusionment over the past twenty years that I'm not sure Nintendo can survive as a whole.
They might even have to return to their core business - making and distributing hanafuda cards.
