Remember that really old fan concept of Super Princess Peach 2 that was floating around back in the day? Mermaid Peach finally became a thing! I wonder if Nintendo was influenced by that. Coincidence!? I think not!!!
@-wc- My Wii remotes from launch got chewed on by my childhood dog and then dropped in water and they still work with absolutely no issues. My original dual shock also still works despite the abuse I put it through by playing so much Crash Team Racing. My joycons from the Switch's launch randomly quit working completely after two years. And the ones I bought afterwards look in worse shape than my old Wii remotes! I wouldn't be that upset about a Mad Catz quality controller if it wasn't so expensive!
Edit: Why do they cost so much in Canada!? $100?! I was looking into replacing my old joycons from like 2019 that are warped and destroyed, but maybe I'll hold onto them 0_0"
"AI enhanced GameShark" You guys know you could just put in codes you found off the internet, right? You don't need expensive tech to do that LOL. In reality it's just a meaningless buzzword. Like how everyone was obsessed with "the blockchain."
OMG when this game comes out, I will not get anything done for months lol. I know most people when hearing of an upcoming Donkey Kong game were hoping for an actual DKC game, but I was actually hoping it would be this lol. Or that other weird GBA Donkey Kong game where you grab onto pegs and climb through levels.
If this ever comes to the west, then we could finally get a port of one of my favourite childhood games, Conker's Bad Fur Day! I know, that shouldn't be a game I enjoyed as a kid LOL. Besides that, I can't think of any games from the N64 rated over 18. Maybe one of the old South Park games.
The Paper Mario series was really great, until it got bad. But I think the great titles outweigh the bad ones. I played a lot of the Mario and Luigi series, but not all of them. They were quirky, original, and funny. But some of the remakes erased original designs and replaced them with more bland ones, which was a disappointment. Not to mention they released remakes of games on basically the same console you could play them on? And they skipped Partners in Time for some reason??? Never played Mario + Rabbids even though I like both Mario and the Rabbids.
I'll get them eventually, when they come out where I live... Why does Canada always get neglected? It's going to come out like a week or so late! And they're impossible to find because not many get shipped to here anyway.
This doesn't surprise me. Nintendo has pretty high quality control on everything they release. They've buttoned up and become pretty serious lately. They put the Wii U era behind them and demand nothing but the best. And if you can deliver, you are staying there for life. It sounds high pressure, but like you get rewarded for talent if you have any.
Not sure this really counts as a game, but I've been feeling the weirdest urge to mess around on Flipnote 3D. It's just so fun and simple to make little animations. Now that I have a computer I could have "real" animation software, but for some reason I always get the bug to return to that simple 3DS program. Time to bust my 3DS out of the junk drawer again lol.
And I'll play some Fashion Dreamer as well. So fun and addicting!
Finally I might put in some time on Splatoon 3 to collect some conch shells for Team Hug.
I was shocked by all the Wario Coliseum support. That's a really niche track from Double Dash! I mean, I actually was wanting it to come back too so it's glad to know I'm not alone in that LOL. Because I'm an enjoyer of weird tracks, I may have been the only vote for Mario Raceway (N64). I was also going to vote for Rainbow Road (DS). I don't understand why it doesn't get love, and it literally has an upside section.
I think I'll get Fashion Dreamer. I'm a sucker for girly cute games. But yeah, not super interested in the new WarioWare game. It's just Smooth Moves again. I mean, Smooth Moves was fun and all but that's a tech demo you only need to play once. Plus, I'm basically elderly now and the less movement I have to do, the better XD
@KingMike That's true. I can't say I hate something unless I try it. I gave Panel De Pon a try (on NSO) and became completely addicted despite not knowing what it was.
Despite the slightly boring box art, I'm very excited to experience this classic for the first time! I could never sit through the original version because the graphics were just too blurry and jumbled for me to make any thing out. I'm so hyped! The cutscenes added look adorable!
P.S.: I understand that the graphics were revolutionary for the time, and I get that but the way they look in the game hasn't aged well. I've seen renders with the models before they were compressed into 16 bit and they're beautiful! So choosing to translate everything into modernity without any compression is awesome.
@SoIDecidedTo Same, kind of. Splatoon 3 has a total curse for me. I've managed to miss nearly every Splatfest in this game because of so many random circumstances. The only one I got to play as much as I liked was Rock Paper Scissors. This is after playing every splatfest in one and two and being on the winning team pretty much every time. My luck finally ran out XD
...could they have chosen any games that I could care about less? I'm a very casual gamer and none of these appeal to me. I want Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow (or Gold/Silver/Crystal because I missed those ones growing up). Why not the original Mario Land!? I get that these are important games in Nintendo's history that probably have some fans but still.
@sixrings True. Rayman Legends was fire. Legends and Origins have got to be some of my favourite games of all time. But I'm a sucker for the Rayman series in general. Even when the games are bad, they're still good somehow.
When the game first came out, I found them creepy! Their soulless huge black voids for eyes gave me the heebie jeebies. After awhile I grew to find them ugly cute. But then they wouldn't shut up! It would be fine if they had something of value to say, like a tip for how to play the game or some world building but no! They say literally nothing but use like three text boxes to do it!! Don't get me started on those god forsaken flowers. From when I first heard them in the trailer, I knew I would mute them. I played through the game with the flowers muted and haven't regretted it at all.
I want Street Pass back so bad! It was amazing fun to go vacations with my 3DS and connect with people who lived in the area. I liked that you could see what they answered on the "personality test" section, like that their goal for the future was to be rich or something. Or you could see what they had been playing! Awesome stuff. I was just actually thinking about how much I missed that. I also want less joycon drift/better built joycons in general. I broke my first ones within three years! Boo. Finally, I want more fun original Nintendo games that aren't just rereleases from the Wii U.
I think I'll label it a pro controller but it's a small Rock Candy wired controller with just the basics. No motions controls or nfc. It's the best controller for me because it's one of the only ones I've found that fits my freakishly tiny hands LOL. It has an adorable Princess Peach decal on it and it's clear pink plastic with gold buttons.
I was always confused by the existence of this thing. The main sell of the DS/3DS line for me was that it was portable and you could close it to travel with it. @Clyde_Radcliffe Exactly! I liked Peach because her kind, sweet, girly personality. It reminded me of myself! She was always my favourite. It's not like she was a pathetic girl who was helpless, she could fight and stuff too. Luigi's Mansion 2 was the first game I ever felt disappointed by when it released. The original was my first video game ever and I guess I expected something better than what we got. I already 100%'ed that game and am not interested in doing it again : P
I might be the only person on Earth who never touched Mario RPG and has never seen a playthrough. I'm going in completely blind. Already pre ordered : D
Side Order looks like fan fiction for hardcore Splatoon fans. Despite playing since the first game, I'm not in that camp. So I'm less excited for Side Order.
No Detective Pikachu or WarioWare for me, thanks. I played the first Detective Pikachu and found it super childish and predictable. And I've already played pretty much every classic WarioWare (GBA, DS, Wii...) game so I've grown sick of the regular formula.

I'm glad this is happening! I missed a lot of Splatfests because of random circumstances so I'm happy I'll actually get to experience all the stages! Team Frye 5ever!
I'm glad the game is selling so well. Japanese sales and feedback are what Nintendo pays attention to most. Not a Pikmin fan, but it's good that Nintendo is seeing the series succeed so it gets more entries.
Besides gold dynamo roller coming back (my beloved!) and a couple new weapon types, there doesn't seem to be much happening. Maybe they're hiding all the really juicy stuff so when you play the season you get a pleasant surprise. For instance, I'm not seeing a lot of new gear. I spied 4 pieces at most. I hope the catalog is shown early again.
I'm going to pre order these so fast! I can't wait to see what kind of gear they give. The Frye amiibo's eyes look a little off, but these are just prototypes probably.

Besides gold dynamo roller coming back (my beloved!) and a couple new weapon types, there doesn't seem to be much happening. I hope the catalog is shown early again.
Re: Splatoon 3's Deep Cut Crew Are Getting Their Own Amiibo Line
I'm going to pre order these so fast! I can't wait to see what kind of gear they give. The Frye amiibo's eyes look a little off, but these are just prototypes probably.
