Perhaps this is just me coping, but I really doubt this rumour is true. It's giving the same energy as "my uncle works at Nintendo, trust me bro."

I loved Punch Out as a series. Every year that goes without a new entry is a punch in the gut for me. The NES version was one of the first video games I ever played in my entire life. All the characters are lovable, it's my favourite part. Bear Hugger is just the best, and I'm saying that as a Canadian. Even the worst offenders like Great Tiger have personalities besides their nationality. He has funny conversations with his clones and aspires to have a rap career despite lacking any trace of talent. They did research to make sure the characters speak their languages correctly. Piston Hondo speaks in a poetic dialect, introducing himself with what samurai would say before battle. That's a great touch! Again, I think it's done respectfully.

I would LOVE a new entry. I've been wondering where the heck the series has been for years. I hope we'll get a new one on the Switch 2 along with Tomodachi Life! Maybe a dual release with one having dogs and one having cats. I feel like Nintendogs plus Cats spread itself too thin trying to have two kinds of pets. The cats did nothing and the models were kind of uncanny valley. I don't have the money or time to care for a real pet so a virtual one would be great. Nintendo always puts in utmost care (or at least they did...) so a new Nintendogs game would be better than any imitators.

Team Presents. When you're an adult, no one gives you presents during the holidays except for your friends. Money is cool but I like it better when other people buy me presents. Experiences are fine but the presents are the experience for me lol.

10 games and 225 hours. Most played were Splatoon 3, Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door and Minecraft.

I'm excited for the reveal of the console regardless of the leaks. For all we know, these leaks could have been totally fake. Speculating is the only fun thing to really do lately as it's been basically complete silence on Nintendo's end for like six months.

We're so desperate for information because of the Nintendo radio silence. Seriously, they've been skipping loads of Directs lately and there's no huge upcoming games really besides DKCR and that Xenoblade port thing. Anyone can tell the Nintendo Switch 2 is getting seriously delayed. As for this "leak," I doubt its veracity. It just looks much too similar to the original Switch and I doubt Nintendo would confuse the casual audience by making them look so similar (like the Wii U situation).

YES! Now all we need is Splatoon 1 and my life will be complete. The Splatoon series has my favourite soundtrack ever!

The Mario Bros Wonder one with Bowser and Peach was peak. I guess not all shorts can be winners...

Donkey Kong Country returns is one of my favourite games of all time, so I will be getting it again. I've beat it 100% and plan to do so again because it was so fun!

Those are my top three! I also enjoyed the port of Scooby Doo First Frights. It was shockingly good and just generally fun despite it being a Scooby Doo game; they put way too much effort into it lmao. Super Princess Peach deserves a shout out as well.

I understand the hesitance to sell old games. You could play them on "not original hardware" but it's not the same sometimes.

I'm going to be camping out on the Nintendo website to buy them when they first come out! I can't get them any other way...

400USD so ~550CAD is my maximum price. That's much more than the original cost at launch but, y'know, inflation and all that... I will still end up getting Switch 2 regardless while selling my old Switch to slightly make up for it. Nintendo always tries to make their consoles affordable.

I understand that the headline means Nintendo isn't showing up, not that they have zero games but it really feels to me like nothing is releasing right now. They skipped a couple directs and then showed off three big games (Prime 4, Brotherhood, and Zelda) only one of which I feel excited for. Maybe it's good that they're giving my wallet a break but still. The games are really drying up now that they're putting all their resources into the Switch 2.

Yes! Another win for Frye! I was on Team Pasta but the results still make me happy. Remember when Frye won with Team Bucket List and she had her first win in over a year? I love cheering for the underdog! Plus I had a lot of fun playing with my friends. This was a really great Splatfest overall!

I didn't see any advertising for this movie anywhere. The closest was when I saw a poster in the lobby while I was buying my ticket to go watch Twisters, an actually good movie. I took one look at the poster, thought it looked like garbage, and actually forgot about it. I only remembered the movie existed when it actually came out and I saw a flood of negative reviews online. If a movie based on a video game is good, it's the exception and not the norm...

Oh no! I'm so devastated... I had no idea she had cancer. Pokémon Indigo League was my childhood and Jessie was always my favourite character. Rachael had such a distinctive voice.

The Switch is super old and the next one will likely be backwards compatible! I'm super excited to play Splatoon 3 in higher resolution and with more battery life for handheld mode. I have a couple games in my backlog/games I'd like to play, so the Switch 2 being backwards compatible would be epic. I'm also excited for truly next gen graphics. The Switch looked incredible at the time but I'm ready to move on. Plus, this has been the longest console life of a Nintendo console yet. My Switch is showing its age... I'm hoping it can hold on until the Switch 2 lol

Woo! Team Theme Park! Nothing would be better than throwing a massive rager in an empty theme park and eating way too many fried snacks.

Meh... Wish the paper background of the box art had some cool holographic swirls or details or something. The art feels kinda off center? And what's with the lazy 3D render? I loved the drawn artwork on the old games. Even the M+L games that had the white background had something interesting going on in the background or corner. I hope this is a temporary cover...

I'm going to miss the Nintendo Switch leaking era. Was pretty fun. I understand that it ruins the fun for some people, but to me, it exponentially increases my hype. I don't take leaks as gospel, I just think of them as an educated guess of what could be in the next direct. Sometimes they're real and its a huge surprise that some random Spanish speaking account got it right. Other times the rumour was fake but it was to think about.

There were some cool reveals and things shown off, but nothing was really that interesting to me. Nothing here generated hype within me. It was overall pretty meh. I was interested in the Mario and Luigi reveal, but that's it. Donkey Kong Country Returns is a great game, but I've already played it on the other systems its on. The new Zelda game just looked okay.

I have a weird feeling that the original 3 SNES Donkey Kong Country games will be remade. I have no evidence, just a vibe.

Haha they will really do anything but make a new Rayman game, won't they? This is your daily painful reminder that Rayman 3 came out over 21 years ago lol. And Legends came out over a decade ago.

I feel like puzzle platformer could be a genre that fits? the costumes give different abilities and collecting the star glitter things are kind of a puzzle? Action platformer works too. I rated it 7/10 because its pretty good, but its not "can't put it down" type of game like Splatoon. It will be entertaining on the go or on roadtrips though. And I love Princess Peach (can you tell? LOL) so it gets extra points from that bias as well.
edit: But I seriously dislike the box art. Why did they give her the American Kirby treatment? :,(

Remember that really old fan concept of Super Princess Peach 2 that was floating around back in the day? Mermaid Peach finally became a thing! I wonder if Nintendo was influenced by that. Coincidence!? I think not!!!

My Wii remotes from launch got chewed on by my childhood dog and then dropped in water and they still work with absolutely no issues. My original dual shock also still works despite the abuse I put it through by playing so much Crash Team Racing. My joycons from the Switch's launch randomly quit working completely after two years. And the ones I bought afterwards look in worse shape than my old Wii remotes! I wouldn't be that upset about a Mad Catz quality controller if it wasn't so expensive!

You guys know you could just put in codes you found off the internet, right? You don't need expensive tech to do that LOL. In reality it's just a meaningless buzzword. Like how everyone was obsessed with "the blockchain."

OMG when this game comes out, I will not get anything done for months lol. I know most people when hearing of an upcoming Donkey Kong game were hoping for an actual DKC game, but I was actually hoping it would be this lol. Or that other weird GBA Donkey Kong game where you grab onto pegs and climb through levels.

If this ever comes to the west, then we could finally get a port of one of my favourite childhood games, Conker's Bad Fur Day! I know, that shouldn't be a game I enjoyed as a kid LOL. Besides that, I can't think of any games from the N64 rated over 18. Maybe one of the old South Park games.

The Paper Mario series was really great, until it got bad. But I think the great titles outweigh the bad ones. I played a lot of the Mario and Luigi series, but not all of them. They were quirky, original, and funny. But some of the remakes erased original designs and replaced them with more bland ones, which was a disappointment. Not to mention they released remakes of games on basically the same console you could play them on? And they skipped Partners in Time for some reason??? Never played Mario + Rabbids even though I like both Mario and the Rabbids.

I'll get them eventually, when they come out where I live... Why does Canada always get neglected? It's going to come out like a week or so late! And they're impossible to find because not many get shipped to here anyway.
