People in this community really want to act like a Mario Tennis game not being absolutely perfect is equal to the earth imploding in on itself. I get that we want good quality games and should criticize fairly but I see so many fans hunting for reasons to hate anything Nintendo does. If any of the older mario sports games came out today they too would be heavily criticized

These look so cool, I love when we get amiibo for some of the Nintendo adjacent characters

I hate to give this game negativity it doesn't need but I'm really curious if this game is gonna sell. Personally I'm not super into Mario sports games anymore but I still always hope they'll be good. There are a lot of Mario tennis games and I hardly ever played my copy of Aces anyway. I'm a believer that you should be allowed to like a game even if its expensive but man I just can't justify $70 for a tennis game I'll hardly play thats almost certainly going to receive next to 0 additional content

Hate to say it but I think people want to believe these pictures are AI regardless if they are or not. To me the hair seems fairly convincing but I could be wrong. I think the article is right that some sloppy photo shop was used and if this isn't AI these kinds of witch hunts aren't going to help the industry at all

We only had to wait months after release for a physical copy that costs more than the digital. Why should we get what we pay for?

Theres a problem with Nintendo fans hating games because they aren't the exact same thing they've already played but if Nintendo made the game too similar to what came before they'd just get upset that the devs didn't innovate. You don't have to like everything but at least be open to something new

What kind of an article is this? By this logic it means that squawks and the tiki tak tribe are being added since they both appear on random cherry picked days

@OorWullie thats good to hear you feel like you got a good value, I see it does depend on the specific player and really price doesn't matter as long as you're having fun but still I feel like I'd be more willing to try these classics out if it was a lil more affordable

Who buys these outside of people with hardcore nostalgia? Tbh its not that I don't think these arcade games look fun but you have to pay a lot of money for what can't be more than an hour of gameplay at most

I know a lot of people were hoping they'd do something different with the franchise. I really liked the first 2 games but never got splat 3, I'm really interested in seeing more of this new game though

So its a problem that they made a game thats compatible with the accessories designed for the console. I agree this should've been a pack in but I'm failing to see what else is a problem here. There are plenty of things to be disappointed by but it seems to me like a lot of people want to hate this console. My opinion is if Nintendo is such a terrible company then stop supporting them and move on, vote with your money and don't buy it if you don't like it. Let the people who just want to have something fun enjoy themselves.

Now he did give Disney the right to his voice but at the same time I think people are under estimating the implications of allowing a company to use someone's likeness after they die. It seems like so many people in the gaming community actively support the erosion of creativity while crying about games not being creative. This is a more complicated situation but companies will try to push boundaries as far as they can to save a buck

@Sylamp i agree I think we're more likely to get mario maker 3, theres just too many new ideas not to capitalize on that and I feel like a switch 2 version would conflict with sales for a new one unlike most of the other games that are receiving them

I think its extremely likely we will get a switch 2 edition next year. It would be cool to see how they work the mouse in and I'd totally take a new additional area to explore

@DiceRobo i feel that, for mr switch online was my first chance to try a lot of retro games and I've had so much fun while others say the ports are bad. As long as you're having a good time thats all you need to experience these games

I think these are all very likely additions, sonic adventure 2 might be the only major maybe but even then its got a pretty solid chance

I swear it seems like people want to look for any little reason to hate on switch 2 & its games rn. Theres a lot to be disappointed by for some but come on this is just making stuff up just to get angry

I don't think the art style of Arceus was much to ride home about, maybe if the textures were a higher rez. I think the look of this game does a better job matching the tone they're going for. We haven't seen nearly enough of the game to start arguing about art styles anyway

Okay it isn't that I din't want this soundtrack but come on where are Mario 64, Wind Waker, & skyward sword? These games were promised to come soon and would each help to fill the many holes present

Why is nintendo life trying to drum up drama about it being similar to Mario? I love mario and respect this site but I've seen this topic get brought up a lot here. I find it annoying that we can't just enjoy the game and appreciate what it does to stand out from the crowd

You can't make a 3D platformer without Nintendo fans making comparisons. The world would be better if we just enjoyed media without constantly trying to compare it to something else

The Looney Tunes would be so fun to have in a game that understands the characters and physics of their cartoon world, its a shame they're always damned to shovelware. Hopefully this game is fun but also GameMill...

The lego mario sets have had some pretty decent sets and a lot of bland poorly designed ones and I definitely think these are some of the worst

I do not understand how someone could pick the switch carts, to me they're just so small and boring, more power to you if it is your fav but I'm going to go with SNES

So happy to see they haven't given up on Amiibo, hopefully we get a few more after this but if not these are some nice looking figures to cap off the collection

When I played it recently I only used save states right outside boss rooms so I wouldn't have to waste time back tracking. Regardless of if you think this fight is good or not it might be one of the most annoying fights I've ever done

Not the most exciting rerelease and the pricing wasn't done well but I fail to see how that makes this game unplayable to many. So many of the complaints come from people who already own the game and those people don't need to buy it again. It should cost less but its an excellent game thats worth playing if you're interested in it

I love the 3DS original but a 9/10 is a bit high, it's more of an 8/10 but still a great time. Its disappointing they didn't do more with the remaster but I'm glad to see it available in a more polished form for those who didn't get a chance back on the 3DS

It's funny to see just how mad some people get seeing Zelda as the protagonist. Seems like certain fans have a hard time excepting creativity these days

That was a very solid end of generation direct. I'm super excited for Mario & Luigi, Mario Party, 2D Zelda, Marvel vs Capcom, Ace Attorney & Metroid Prime which is enough to keep me busy. Idk what else you'd expect besides Zelda remasters which would be nice but I'd rather a new game
