Re: Ex Chibi-Robo Devs Announce Spiritual Successor 'koROBO'

I'm still gutted that Chibi-Robo seems destined to stay stuck on GameCube/Wii forever. It was such a great game and deserved a remake or remaster (at the very least) by now. I get that it's a niche game but I think it could have really found a big audience on Switch.

Re: Penny's Big Breakaway On Switch Is Getting A Frame Rate Update

I'll get this game at some point because the gameplay really appeals to me.

However I do think that the main character is really unlikable/badly designed and the name of the game is terrible.

They should have called it 'Yo-yo The Monkey' and had Penny as a monkey character. It's catchier and explains the main mechanic of the game.

Re: Best Nintendo Remakes Of All Time, Ranked

It actually annoys me how little Nintendo remakes some of their games which are locked into specific systems. And I'm not saying they should 'do a Sony' and release updates of games the way they do. But seriously, F-Zero GX, Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn, Chibi Robo. Even Mario Paint would have been perfect for DS/3DS.

Re: Charles Martinet Will Make A Special Guest Appearance At Nintendo Live 2024

@Maxz Just because he's instantly recognisable as the person that does the voice of Mario doesn't make his work good. It's simplistic, childish and annoying and. Technology limited things when he was first introduced in Super Mario 64 but I think Nintendo missed a trick in not developing beyond that. He and Nintendo have been getting away with the same high pitched, stereotypical crap since 1996.

I massively preferred the silent era of Mario.

Re: Nintendo Reportedly Showed 'Switch 2' Demos To Developers At Gamescom

SMJ

I remember hearing how Nintendo were going to up the power stakes after the GameCube (GameCube being far more powerful for games than the PS2). Then we got Wii. Amazing system and home to some of the greatest games ever but an absolute shadow of of what was possible back then.

If Nintendo actually try to pull a technically impressive piece of hardware out I'll be stunned.

Re: Metroid Dread Developer Has "Two Large Undisclosed Titles" In The Works

I still don't see why Nintendo don't partner with a couple of port specialist studios and harness their back catalogue properly.

Mario 2D All-stars
F-Zero Collection
Metroid 2D collection
Zelda 2D Collection
Donkey Kong Collection

These would all sell millions and Nintendo would still be free to make new games. It just baffles me.
