I know everyone is sick of Wii U ports but I really want XCX on Switch.

Also remake the rest of the House of The Dead games. Including Overkill. And then Ghost Squad while you're at it.

Random question given the topic, but does anyone else who owns multiple consoles buy certain games for one machine over another? I find myself buying a game on Switch or Xbox or PlayStation because it feels right for that system. Please tell me I'm not the only one!

I just want A Wonderful Life to be remastered at this point.

@pichuscute0 Why are you so intent on proving that the Sigma versions are the best? What have you offered to the argument other than the fact that you have "seen, for the past 15+ years, the Sigma games considered the definitive versions of modern Ninja Gaiden and fantastic games." Considered by whom? The populous??? Definitely not. Play them again, read reviews, do whatever you need to do.

And if you have played them, as you claim, you could only have done that on PlayStation platforms (from 2 generations ago) and would therefore realise that the controller is inferior for that type of game.

NG Black was on Original Xbox hardware and is still a better game to play than Sigma on PS3.

@pichuscute0 Anyone who has played both versions will generally agree that the originals are better. Look online. The combat is tighter, the traditional gore aspect is present and the games player better. The Sigma versions were watered down and ported to the PS3 which the original developer never wanted to do because he preferred to develop for what he considered to be the best hardware at the time. Xbox 360. There are less enemies on screen in Sigma due to the Cell processor not being able to cope. Plus, on a very tactile level, the PS3 controller was poor compared to the Xbox pad.

And who made them IS completely relevant. One developer's vision will always be different to someone else's port. Are you genuinely saying that it doesn't matter who develops a game???

I've played all versions of each game and NG Black and NG2 are better than NGS and NGS2. Have you played them?

There are tons of videos online agreeing with this so decide for yourself.

@pichuscute0 The Sigma games are not the best versions at all. NG Black and NG2 were made by the same development team. The less good games NGS, NGS2, NG3 and NG3 RE were made after Tomonobu Itagaki left Team Ninja.

I'm probably being incredibly stupid but they have the original source code for Xbox otherwise they couldn't have released them via backwards compatibility. Could they not just reverse engineer that???

I switched to playing sports games on the OG Xbox when I realised that one Madden save would take up the majority of my GameCube memory card.

The Tegra chooser used in the Switch was outdated 6 years ago. They could easily move up a level and it still remain completely compatible with older games and be able to upscale and improve on the new hardware. A sharper screen with less of a bevel should be a given. It would have to be compatible with existing joy con though.

This was my first and last Harvest Moon game. I still have it on my GameCube and have downloaded the PS4 version. It really reminds me of a very specific time with my Ex. We played the game to death and would even message eachother when one of us made progress in the game while the other was at work. I'm not actually sure I could go back to it because of all of the associated real life memories.

I don't remember anyone ever complaining about the sun being there ever. I was around when the original game released and nobody seemed to care about it then or now. It's a preemptive attempt by Capcom to avoid the cancel culture crowds baying for blood. That's the saddest part for me.

@MS7000 There were less than 800 games on Wii U and there are over 3000 on Switch. If you can't find something to play then maybe Switch isn't the console for you. Nintendo don't owe you anything for buying a Wii U. You bought the system because you wanted it. You bought the games you wanted and enjoyed them. If every Wii U owner decided not to buy a Switch or sell their Switch because they didn't feel there were enough games exclusive to them, it really wouldn't matter. Switch would still keep selling and nobody would care. The fact is that people didn't buy Wii U and do buy Switch. And in my opinion, Switch has a better range of exclusives than Wii U.

Everyone needs to stop complaining. I love my Wii U but the fact that most of the gaming world missed out on some of its best games is a crying shame. Giving them a bigger potential audience on Switch is only a positive thing. If you already own them and love them on Wii U, you don't have to buy them on Switch. Nobody is going to take your Wii U games away from you. They'll still work. Stop complaining that that the millions of gamers who didn't buy a Wii U now get to play them.

Tencent will buy Platinum and then the game will become a timed exclusive on iOS before reaching a wider audience on Android in 2022.

I love this game but I'm fairly certain that Nintendo will do absolutely nothing with it. If they can't be bothered to make new entries in the F-Zero, Project Zero and Starfox series then what are the chances of this. Adding an Astral Chain Smash character would p*ss me off even more. Random cameos don't count as keeping a franchise alive.

@Meuz I guessed at that one because the reflection in the pic was mainly blue and knowing that the discs hold 25GB I assumed they may use a blue laser without being actual Blu-Rays.

15/20. I'm disappointed with myself.

I never want this to become the norm. If you can't port a game to Switch don't put it on Switch. If this becomes commonplace then I worry for third party support on the platform.

@nessisonett I adore my 3DS too and am still a huge fan of of the 3D effect. I still buy games for it despite the huge backlog I have. The Switch has a better selection of games though in my opinion. The range is incredible. I'm still hoping for a Nintendo 3DSwitch to be announced.

There really needs to be more consistency with physical releases. I know that different regions have different management and market restrictions blah blah blah but this rarely happens on other consoles.

I have the SF version of the game so that one for me. So many brilliant memories.

I was actually thinking about this the other day and was hoping for a Switch port as I loved it on Wii U. I didn't think it would happen though as it's been so long since hearing anyone even mentioned the game. Great news.

@clvr I did too. It reminds me of one of the battles in the Scott Pilgrim movie. The only time it didn't look right was with the boss whose arms Travis cut off.

I have the Wii originals. Just downloaded them both. I'll buy them again if they get a physical release.

Sengoku Basara on Wii was my favourite of this genre.
