Finally beaten baten kaitos origins. Have mixed feelings about it. I didn’t hate it at all but I felt that it wasn’t really necessary to make a prequel to the first game. What really ticked me off is that the game has a crazy bug where one of the side quests, the biggest side quest becomes undoable 🤦♂️. Well whatever, the game was long and hard actually. Had some crazy difficulty spikes. Story was a little darker then the first one. Well the series is finished unless there is going to be a new one which I don’t think there will be unfortunately.
Getting through everyone’s first chapters in octopath traveler 2. Game will be a long one 😂.
Downloaded the card en ciel demo yesterday. It’s interesting so far. Gameplay isn’t perfect and it’s slow but I am enjoying it I think. 😂.
For non switch/Nintendo games, I am only playing a little of drakengard 3. Hopefully I will finish it soon. 😂
Chugging away at baten kaitos origins still. Got most of the story done and most of the side quests done(the very annoying ones remain 🤦♂️). Game has some crazy difficulty spikes and it’s much longer then I thought it was.
Don’t think I will be able to get in to octopath 2 this week or next lol.
On my ps3, still working on beating drakengard 3. Doing it’s dlc now. It has a major problem for me though.
Would love to play fdc emio but I got to play the other games in the series first.
Hmm… still the same as last week again for me. Mainly playing baten kaitos origins. Longer game then I thought even though side quests are a part of that reason. Getting my butt kicked on certain bosses. Difficulty spikes are a bit crazy in this game. Just finally made it to the second half of the game/disc 2.
Might finally go back to octopath traveler 2 to start it from the the demo. Just don’t have the energy to do it since it’s a long game.
On non switch games, I will try to complete the last ending of drakengard 3 and it’s dlc. I almost there.
Hmm… for me it’s pretty much the same as last week. Baten kaitos origins is like the main game I am playing now. Almost halfway done with it. Will be a longer game then I thought for me 😂.
I am also almost done with drakengard 3 main story as far as non switch games go. Still got the dlc stuff to do on it though.
I just got octopath traveler 2 a few days ago. Don’t feel like really diving into it yet. 😂. It’s a big game. It’s a lot to get into since it’s been a while since I played the demo.
Not much changed for me from last week. Playing baten kaitos origins. Pretty much the main game I am doing now. Maybe a little Megaman battle network legacy collection.
For non switch games. I am still hammering away drakengard 3 little by little. Got ending/route C done just a little while ago. Don’t even know if I will even touch bravely default 1 this week or next week. 😂
Hmm… it’s tricky for me but the games I am most excited for is emio(need to play other games in the series first), super Mario party jamboree(though I did not care for the first super Mario party on switch at all), and Metroid prime 4. Zelda I am undecided on because while it’s a new game, I am not that excited about playing as Zelda for most of the game and more then that that gameplay is like totk in 2d form. Loos like you can break puzzles in this game like totk too. It seems like it took too many things from totk which I am not a fan of much. Just my opinion. Mario and Luigi looks great and a nice surprise but I haven’t played that series in a long time and fell off it. Might get it next year. Maybe. Already have donkey Kong for Wii. No need to play the same again. Not interested in that Pokémon game but we will see. Well I got some 3rd party games to keep me occupied for this year too so I am already set.
For switch: Beat paper Mario ttyd around a couple of weeks ago. Just beat the optional/superbosses in it a few days ago. Man, the pit of trials is annoying 😂. The new superbosses are quite challenging. Just beat Golden Sun the lost age a few days ago too and beat all superbosses the day after. Don’t know how I was able to beat the hardest superboss in it with my level 😳. Glad I did. Don’t know if I will ever do the third and final golden sun game after hearing about it but I am not seeking it out nor do I have any intention to now. Now I am starting the second Baten Kaitos game which is a prequel to the first one. Beat the first one on switch a while ago. Combat is taking some time to get used to compared to the first game oddly enough but it seems good. Playing a little bit of Megaman battle network collection here and there. Doing part 4 red sun mainly. It’s not a backlog game though or anything.
For non switch: I am playing drakengard 3 now. Maybe I will do bravely default 1 on 3ds but I am not crazy about that game. 😂.
For me, same as last week. Playing paper Mario ttyd of which I just completed most of the seventh chapter. Going to the finale of it now. Playing a bit of golden sun the lost age as well. About half way done with the game I think. I am at a really long and annoying dungeon 😂. As far as other systems, Have been playing a bit of drakengard 3 recently. Huge Nier fan.
On this list I would love Nier replicant, the old resident evil games and Xenoblade X. Although its been said that putting Xenoblade X on switch would be very difficult with the Wii U game pad part and mainly Nintendo needs to fund this. I have a feeling it could be for switch 2. Probably next year even. But I don’t see it coming to switch 1 at all but I could be wrong. I hope we at least get Nier replicant for switch 2 then if we don’t get it for switch 1. We should definitely have that game after Nier automata
Finally finished 13 sentinels. One heck of game. My friend finished it just before me even though we were trying to finish it at the same time but whatever 😂. It was a good deep game. I still some small issues with it though but it was definitely worth playing.
For games I am working on now, I am playing paper Mario ttyd on switch of course and I just finished chapter 6. Love this game so much. It’s my favorite paper Mario of course. Loved the remastered music in it and chapter 4 is my favorite of the game.
Playing golden sun the lost age too. I just got the boat. So the game is going to open up to me a bit more which means a bunch more to do. 😂.
I was playing bravely default 1 on 3ds but I am not enjoying it as much. Only go back to do a little at a time and that’s it. Don’t know if I have the strength to play through the game. 😂
@JohnnyMind ok I understand. I figured it’s during the whole week and not a weekend. It’s the same for me too when I list games I am playing on here sometimes. Thanks for clarifying. I usually only buy physical unless there is no physical version of a game I want in which case I go digital. So I have a mix of digital and physical even though I prefer physical. You have a good schedule for your games. I wanted to hear people’s thoughts and methods on how they tackle their backlogs.
My weekend is the same as before. Playing 13 sentinels, paper Mario and the thousand year door and golden sun the lost age. Haven’t made much progress on golden sun because I just got to a big annoying area of the game 😂 but I got to the 4th chapter of paper Mario now. As for 13 sentinels, my friend is a little ahead of me in it. We are doing some battling in it before going back into the story. I am like 1/3 done with the story part and like 1/4 done with the battling part.
@JohnnyMind been meaning to ask you how you manage to play that many games? Just asking for a friend and I guess myself. Lol. Also are all those games physical? Just asking for the same friend.
Glad Nintendo doesn’t get involved with summer games fest. Geoff is just full of himself. After the game awards last year, I wonder if Geoff is on Nintendo’s s**t list if he wasn’t already. Lol. Seriously though, I bet he wouldn’t be kissing Nintendo’s butt nearly as much if the switch and Nintendo themselves were doing bad like the Wii U days.
On the second chapter of paper Mario and the thousand year door. Beginning it anyway. Love the game so far. Never finished the original.
Also playing 13 sentinels with my friend while he plays it on ps5. I am playing it on switch. We are both loving it. Very deep and complicated but it’s a good thing in this case. I am doing the characters/visual novel part until I can’t anymore or get bored with it and then go do some battles.
Golden sun 2 the lost age. Played and beat the first one a few years ago finally 😂. Was happy to see these games be on switch online. I am still only a few hours in. I am not happy being the other cast after playing with the original cast from the first game but I know that they come later in the second game. Just want to reach that point. 😂
I just beat star ocean 2 on switch. Great game. Don’t feel like playing as the other character Rena since it’s essentially the same story 😂. Did the extra stuff too like the secret dungeon and the super bosses. My friend and I are playing 13 sentinels together. Doing bits of it at a time. While we are far away from each other. Also going to start playing golden sun 2 on the Switch online service, beat the first one on the Wii U a while ago and entered in that really long crazy password to transfer my progress from the first game to the second 😂. When paper Mario comes out for switch I will play that too. Playing Megaman battle network collection as a fun thing. It’s not backlog since I beat all of them on gba. Just playing it for extra content that was cut out. Playing Megaman battle network 4 red sun now since I only played the blue moon version on gba.
@Vyacheslav333 oh yeah lol! I forgot about that. It is weird. So glad the sequel had dual audio. But I heard the first game had an option for Japanese voices on the smart phone/mobile port in the English store. Hmm…
@Vyacheslav333 true. I forgot about that. But I am weird in that I still play the kingdom hearts games even though I can’t get the dual option in them. Kingdom hearts and resident evil are the only games I can tolerate in English even though a few resident evil games have the dual audio option. I am weird in that regard although I like Japanese voices the best. Back to your point, I should have said that lots of square games had dual audio. Still weird for them to not do it but considering what square is going through with games right now, I guess it’s not that surprising lol
I have been on the fence about this one. I haven’t really played any saga games. At least to completion. But after reading this review and the fact there is no Japanese voice option which is bizarre coming from square, made it definite that I am not going to get this game. But I got too much to play for now anyway. Trying to get my backlog down. Lol
Hmm. To me, If a game crashes at all without doing something to intentionally break the game then it deserves a lower score. I review games too so I know I would dock it’s score just for that. Hearing about the game now, I won’t be getting it. Not just for the reviews even though they contributed to it but the crashes itself ruins the game for me a lot. Also have a backlog so I probably wouldn’t get it anytime soon anyway lol. No one seems to remember but this game was originally billed for the switch successor and the developers didn’t think the switch could handle it. Maybe now we know why even though this game doesn’t look too demanding at all. 🤷♂️
Basically the same as last week for me. I did finish paper Mario 64 on switch last week. Beat it for like the nth time. Lol. Star ocean 2 the second story r is my main priority as usual. Megaman battle network collection as I am playing Megaman battle network 4 red sun right now. Played and completed the other blue moon version on my gba. Trying to find 13 sentinels so me and my friend can play together. Of course all of these games are on switch
Playing star ocean 2 the second story r and possibly doing some Megaman battle network collection and paper Mario 64 on switch. But star ocean is priority since it’s a backlog and i haven’t beaten it whereas I beaten nearly every Megaman battle network game on gba and beaten paper Mario 64 several times 😂
Zelda totk is my most played on switch but not my favorite game of the year that I have played. That honor goes to Nier automata on switch. One of the best games I played ever in my opinion. Persona 5 Royal too. Live a live was amazing as well and it was like my biggest surprise game in the way that I didn’t expect the game to be that good. Yes I know it came out in 2022 like the other 2 games but I have a big backlog to go through. 😂
@Duck_Farmer you can play it but you still won’t understand certain things in the end of the game like certain characters near the end. You get more out of Xenoblade 3 if you played 1 and 2. There aren’t that standalone in my opinion. They are all connected. The dlc for 3 really brings everything together too.
Good luck on Metroid’s prime’s final boss. I struggled with it too. Barely beat him.
Just got done Zelda tears of the kingdom yesterday. Better then botw definitely but not a big fan of the story. Game was way too long then it needed to be in my opinion. This weekend I am playing persona 5 Royal(trying to start the fifth palace), star ocean 2 second story demo, maybe some Megaman battle network collection(playing part 1 now since it’s the only one I never touched in the past). Still waiting for my baten kaitos physical game copy to come. So slow 🤦♀️ 😂
For people doubting it. I am pretty sure docked mode is where you see higher spec improvements. Handheld mode will likely not look as good for obvious reasons. Also it probably only looks like that on the surface for the Ps5 looks but in reality it’s probably ps4 pro level or somewhere around the ball park which is what I am hearing which is still pretty good. Docked mode can have the capability to unlock more from a switch 2 if done right. It kind of already does in a switch 1 but it’s very limited of course.
Ugh. I don’t hate botw or totk but I don’t want to see that game over and over again. I want to see some new 2D Zeldas and 3D traditional ones like ocarina. I think there is room for all to exist. Give botw style ones a few years to show up every now and again since they take a long time to make. I know people might not agree with me here but I am just tired of exploring all the time and getting no story, reward or battling enemies sometimes. Climbing is annoying. Bothered the hell out of me in botw. Totk I am not sure how much climbing is involved but there seems to be a lot of the same as botw. Still pretty much in the beginning of it anyways. Oh well
Completely agree with what one person said on here about totk and their fear of possibly being repetitive. Botw was repetitive after a long while. Just got tired of exploring and climbing empty mountains and getting nothing rewarding or nothing in return for it. Also it’s lack of story didn’t keep me interested in it much at all but that’s just me. I liked botw still but it’s hard to ignore the issues I had with it after I realized I had like 200 hours in it. 😂. I just don’t want to play the same game over again when it’s very long like botw. I am not saying totk is the same yet but hiding from the trailers I don’t know if it has enough to be different for me. I hope so since I preordered this game a long time ago. I hope there is a much better story and it’s not just exploring and that’s it. At least the dungeons look way better this time around even if there long. I hated the divine beasts in botw. It was so repetitive. Each one looked and played the same to me. This is all just my opinion for anyone that wants to bash me here. 😂
Cool. I am glad it’s good. I am glad to see the main characters from 1 and 2. I like Xenoblade 3 but it doesn’t overall compare to Xenoblade 1 which is still the best to me. It definitely had the best story to me. 2 was good too but not as much as 1. Xenoblade 3 definitely has the best fighting mechanics but it’s a little overwhelming with introducing all of it and it can get a bit much sometimes. Like someone said here, I am a little disappointed that future redeemed dlc doesn’t have a different battle system like torna did but 3 has a pretty good battle system so it’s ok. Can’t wait to see what’s new for Xenoblade. Hoping they do a whole different story and not reference much from the first 3.
Kinda of Don’t really agree with your assessment on Megaman not having a huge presence on GameCube. Thought it had a pretty good presence on GameCube especially compared to n64 lol. It had the all the classic megamans in one collection which included games that a lot of people didn’t get to play plus megaman network transmission was and STILL is exclusive to GameCube. Megaman x command mission was a new game at the time too even though it was also on pS2 I believe. Capcom put Megaman on there in various forms for GameCube. The Wii and Wii U didn’t do much for Megaman at all except for Virtual console and some classic Megaman games. Like Megaman 9 and some appearances in other games like smash bros. I know it’s nitpicking but just thought I had to say it.
Btw, I would love to see legends come back. Always been a dream for me to play legends 3 in a complete form even though I know it’s impossible sadly 😢.
@Henchdog yes. Correct. Japan basically has a law saying that foreign companies can’t buy companies in Japan. Otherwise Microsoft would have had one by now. Lol. Nintendo owns the majority stake. So they can’t be bought out by people anyway. Nintendo sets a limit on how many shares are public and let whoever grabs them.
Sorry to hear about people being disappointed about not having the English dub but for me I am glad I get to play it with Japanese voices since I tend to only play games with the original voices. I know a little and study Japanese as well so I can tell what’s a good translation and a bad one sometimes 😂. It is weird that bandai didn’t include both as an option. They usually do duel audio support 🧐. Maybe they will put it in as an update later down the line? I am definitely preordering these. Can’t wait to play.
@JohnnyMind it’s too much like persona. I am just saying fire emblem doesn’t need a lot of it in my opinion. I also heard it’s not as fillerish as 3H. It has more battles. You are correct in it being optional but you would seem to be missing out on a lot of stuff if you just ignore all of it. My point was that 3H was too much. Doing all 3 or rather 4 routes was crazy. 😂. I am a bit of a fire emblem veteran. I loved awakening. And the older fire emblems. 3H was ok. Just thought it has too much flaws in the story. Just my opinion
Glad to hear it doesn’t have as much filler stuff as 3H. That was one of its many downsides to me. This game also doesn’t seem to be crazy long like 3H which is also a plus to me. Can’t wait to play it
Good to hear. 3 houses didn’t look good to me a lot of the time. Didn’t hate the game. Just felt a bit bland. Although there are a lot more things I didn’t care for in 3 houses in general. I can’t wait to play engage. It looks great! Only problem I have is the whole filler hub area. Too much to do. Main reason why I didn’t want to do all of the routes of 3 houses. Hopefully this game is just one long playthrough rather then 3 or more multiple playthroughs.
Hmmm... I am currently playing bravely default on my 3DS. Yes, I haven’t played it much at all when I got it years ago. 😂. Also will be playing Nier automata, persona 5 Royal, Bayonetta 3 and live a live on switch.
@Warioware SPOILERS yeah. I forgot about that which had nopon play an important role in this time around. Don’t get why the nopon didn’t speak up about all that either like you said. Surely they would have told some people about this. I think that is a huge hole in this story and another reason why I didn’t like Xenoblade 3’s story all that much. Would like some answers too. Also I hated how they don’t give much into the true queens story. Like how the heck did nia become a queen. There is nothing Royal about her at the end of Xenoblade 2 😂. Melia is understandable.
Yup. Xenogears is playstation 1. I didn’t finish it either. I hope I will get to it once I get my backlog down more 😬. I am the same on Bayonetta origins. If people like it then I will give it a try.
@Warioware lol. Yeah. Since this is SPOILERS, I will say that I agree with the 6 ouroboros statement since I remember a scene in Xenoblade 3 where one of the characters was looking at the statues of the founders funny. Did you notice that one of the founders looks exactly like one of the main characters from Xenogears(if you ever played it) 🧐? Also I forgot about the Riku and Melia thing. Yeah I want some explanation for that too along with some other stuff. Also yes. As you you said. They said Xenoblade 3 will conclude klaus’s experiment which lead to these worlds/universes being created. So we should see an all brand new story next game. Don’t know if that includes the dlc story for 3. That could even be about Noah and mio’s child in that one parallel universe or about another parallel universe entirely that Noah saw in that one scene. One thing I did hear though is that this dlc story will be about as long as the torna dlc from Xenoblade 2. Gotta get my backlog down before I play that 😂
Agreed about Bayonetta 3. It’s normal to have high expectations after 2. I loved Bayonetta 2. It was my favorite one in the series. I won’t give up on the series either but the next one better be good lol. Also I don’t know how I feel about that Bayonetta origins side game. It doesn’t look like my kind of game at all but I might give it a chance since it’s Bayonetta still 🤷♀️
@Warioware no worries. I completely agree with you. I think what you said was valid. Shame though since they are series that I enjoy a lot. More so then some other series. As for dlc story for Xenoblade 3, I have a few good guesses on what it’s going to be about. POSSIBLE SPOILERS: A story about the seven heroes/founders, or what characters like the queens were up to leading up to Xenoblade 3, the future after Xenoblade 3 ended, or something entirely different that links to the next game in the series, Whether it be Xenoblade 4 or a spin-off or a whole new xeno something. There is a lot they can do. Hopefully that will be better although I don’t care for some of the Xenoblade 3 characters that much so I don’t want them to return 😂. I know that sounds mean but I like the characters from the other games better.
@Warioware I feel the same way you do. I like Bayonetta 3 gameplay wise except for the performance issues. but the ending and stuff is disappointing. Although I heard about that for a while lol. I do especially agree with Xenoblade 3. I like the game of course and while it is my favorite game of the year that’s on switch specifically, I didn’t get to play a lot of other switch games this year because I am backlogged on other games. Also I agree that the other Xenoblade games are overall better. I love Xenoblade 1. Still my favorite Xenoblade and one of my favorite games of all time. I liked 2 as well. I haven’t played through all of X yet. Xenoblade 3 is good but it’s story and characters weren’t as good as Xenoblade 1 to me. I know it’s an unpopular opinion but I don’t care. Xenoblade 3 did not look good at times. It was still a blurry mess in portable mode. Not as much as 2 but still. It didn’t help that Xenoblade 3 kept crashing on me more compared to 2
@Sisilly_G you’re not wrong at all. I understand you. I feel the same way about fire emblem 3 houses but I don’t say anything because almost everyone around love it says it’s like the best one which I don’t believe at all. I love awakening. It’s my favorite fe or one of my top favorites. 3 houses got a little too much for me and I abandoned it for a while before coming back to it like a year later after it came out to finish it. Even then I only finished one route and the dlc story. I didn’t like the story much at all either. I like other fire emblem stories better. Everyone has an opinion. Lol. That being said I will likely get engage because it doesn’t look like 3 houses to me with the whole “you have to choose one school” and keep playing the game over and over for like 300 hours just to play all routes. That’s another big problem I had with 3 houses. 😂.
Guess I will wait for the next switch or whatever it is so I can buy it natively. Cloud as an option is fine I guess but not when it is forced on people. This is my opinion of course but I know others feel the same. 😕
Love this game so much!! For those of you wanting a sequel it seems like platinum games has already been working on it for a while. One leaker I follow says it’s slated for release sometime in 2023. I assume late 2023. I know we should take it with a grain of salt but there is a lot of hints that support this like takahisa taura who did the first one said he was hard at work on another game(didn’t say which game). Someone from platinum said so anyway. Also Nintendo buying the IP means that they can’t be done with just one game in the franchise. I know this is a thought but I think it’s a valid one.
@Glrd Nintendo said that middle life cycle crap back in 2020. Don’t always believe what Nintendo says at face value. They did this for the 3ds model saying it’s not coming out but then it comes out a couple of weeks later. Plus middle of the life cycle can mean something else like it’s at the end of the middle of the life cycle. That’s being said there is no certainty that a new switch will come next year but I highly doubt it Nintendo will wait until like 2027 to release a switch successor. That’s nuts 😂. Also Nintendo can just release a switch 2 and still keep the switch 1. It’s called cross gen. Sony and Microsoft are doing this and Nintendo did this to a certain extent. Having a switch 2 doesn’t automatically mean the switch 1 dies right then and there. People will still games for it for a while since it has such a huge install base
Hmm 🤔. For the people that don’t know. The other Megaman battle network games not in the collection is the DS one of part 5 which combines both versions and adds some stuff to it as well. It’s a good game in my opinion but I can see why it would be very hard to add to the collection. There is also the crossover of Megaman battle network 1 and Megaman starforce but I think that was only released in Japan. There is also Megaman battle network chip challenge which has completely different gameplay and takes place after 3 but before 4 I think 🤔 but I didn’t care much for that game but it was a gba game. And finally there is Megaman battle network 4.5 for gba which of course was never released outside Japan. There is a fan translation of it that was completed not too long ago. I liked that game. It had potential. Played a little differently but I liked it. I guess a Star force collection and Megaman legends collection are the last 2 we need. Oh and Megaman zx which only has 2 games.
For me: working through my backlog as usual 😂. I am playing super robot taisen og endless frontier for the original DS on my 3DS
The house of dead remake on switch. Should be finished with it soon
The live a live demo on switch. Loving it so far even though the ninja story is complex. 😂
And if I have some time, the fire emblem shadow dragon(remake of the very first fire emblem game) game on the original DS which I bought for the Wii U virtual console.
Maybe play some games on my n64 and genesis online service on switch too
😂. Like some people here are saying I got to get Xenoblade 3 and this. Ugh. I need to find the time to play these games. Need to get my backlog down too.
Some of those companies are only going to be there in limited capacity since Sony and Microsoft are technically doing their own things around June. Nintendo obviously will too. Some leakers are saying the same in Nintendo’s case. It never needed summer games fest. Lol
@Axecon completely agree with you. Summer games fest is boring to me because those companies including Nintendo don’t do the summer games fest thing. I know Geoff is trying to push that on us but last year’s was the worst. Didn’t have any companies I care about there. 😂. I like E3 better despite what people said about it.

Finally beaten baten kaitos origins. Have mixed feelings about it. I didn’t hate it at all but I felt that it wasn’t really necessary to make a prequel to the first game.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (24th August)
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (17th August)
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (10th August)
Hmm… for me it’s pretty much the same as last week. Baten kaitos origins is like the main game I am playing now. Almost halfway done with it. Will be a longer game then I thought for me 😂.

I just got octopath traveler 2 a few days ago. Don’t feel like really diving into it yet. 😂. It’s a big game. It’s a lot to get into since it’s been a while since I played the demo.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (3rd August)
Re: Nintendo Reconfirms Release Windows For Major Upcoming Switch Games
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (27th July)
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (6th July)
Re: Feature: 54 Switch Ports We'd Love To See Before The Generation's Out
On this list I would love Nier replicant, the old resident evil games and Xenoblade X.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (29th June)
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (8th June)
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (8th June)
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (8th June)
@JohnnyMind been meaning to ask you how you manage to play that many games? Just asking for a friend and I guess myself. Lol. Also are all those games physical? Just asking for the same friend.
Re: Geoff Keighley Would Love Nintendo To "Be A Big Part" Of Summer Game Fest
Glad Nintendo doesn’t get involved with summer games fest. Geoff is just full of himself. After the game awards last year, I wonder if Geoff is on Nintendo’s s**t list if he wasn’t already. Lol. Seriously though, I bet he wouldn’t be kissing Nintendo’s butt nearly as much if the switch and Nintendo themselves were doing bad like the Wii U days.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (1st June)
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (18th May)
I just beat star ocean 2 on switch.
Re: Review: SaGa Emerald Beyond (Switch) - Diverse But Dull RPG Boosted By Excellent Combat
@Vyacheslav333 oh yeah lol! I forgot about that. It is weird. So glad the sequel had dual audio. But I heard the first game had an option for Japanese voices on the smart phone/mobile port in the English store. Hmm…
Re: Review: SaGa Emerald Beyond (Switch) - Diverse But Dull RPG Boosted By Excellent Combat
Re: Review: SaGa Emerald Beyond (Switch) - Diverse But Dull RPG Boosted By Excellent Combat
I have been on the fence about this one. I haven’t really played any saga games. At least to completion. But after reading this review and the fact there is no Japanese voice option which is bizarre coming from square, made it definite that I am not going to get this game. But I got too much to play for now anyway. Trying to get my backlog down. Lol
Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (20th April)
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (13th April)
Re: Feature: Nintendo Switch Year In Review 2023 - Our Most Played Games
Zelda totk is my most played on switch but not my favorite game of the year that I have played. That honor goes to Nier automata on switch. One of the best games I played ever in my opinion. Persona 5 Royal too. Live a live was amazing as well and it was like my biggest surprise game in the way that I didn’t expect the game to be that good. Yes I know it came out in 2022 like the other 2 games but I have a big backlog to go through. 😂
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (November 11th)
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 23rd)
Re: Nintendo Reportedly Showed 'Switch 2' Demos To Developers At Gamescom
For people doubting it. I am pretty sure docked mode is where you see higher spec improvements. Handheld mode will likely not look as good for obvious reasons. Also it probably only looks like that on the surface for the Ps5 looks but in reality it’s probably ps4 pro level or somewhere around the ball park which is what I am hearing which is still pretty good. Docked mode can have the capability to unlock more from a switch 2 if done right. It kind of already does in a switch 1 but it’s very limited of course.
Re: Expect More Open-World Zelda Games Going Forwards, Suggests Eiji Aonuma
Oh well
Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom
Re: Review: Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed - A Stunning Denouement, Utterly Essential
Re: Talking Point: Which Other Mega Man Games Could Come To Switch?
Re: Saudi Arabia's PIF Raises Stake In Nintendo For The Second Time This Year
@Henchdog yes.
Re: Baten Kaitos Remasters Have Japanese VO Only, Frame Rate, File Size Revealed
Re: Video: Check Out This New Fire Emblem Engage Nintendo Switch Gameplay
Re: Video: Check Out This New Fire Emblem Engage Nintendo Switch Gameplay
Glad to hear it doesn’t have as much filler stuff as 3H. That was one of its many downsides to me. This game also doesn’t seem to be crazy long like 3H which is also a plus to me. Can’t wait to play it
Re: Video: Digital Foundry Provides A Technical Preview Of Fire Emblem Engage
Good to hear. 3 houses didn’t look good to me a lot of the time. Didn’t hate the game. Just felt a bit bland. Although there are a lot more things I didn’t care for in 3 houses in general. I can’t wait to play engage. It looks great! Only problem I have is the whole filler hub area. Too much to do. Main reason why I didn’t want to do all of the routes of 3 houses. Hopefully this game is just one long playthrough rather then 3 or more multiple playthroughs.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 24th)
Hmmm... I am currently playing bravely default on my 3DS. Yes, I haven’t played it much at all when I got it years ago. 😂. Also will be playing Nier automata, persona 5 Royal, Bayonetta 3 and live a live on switch.
Merry Christmas and Happy holidays everyone!
Re: Feature: Game Of The Year 2022 - Nintendo Life Staff Awards
Re: Feature: Game Of The Year 2022 - Nintendo Life Staff Awards
It doesn’t look like my kind of game at all but I might give it a chance since it’s Bayonetta still 🤷♀️
Sorry for the long rant. Lol
Re: Feature: Game Of The Year 2022 - Nintendo Life Staff Awards
Re: Feature: Game Of The Year 2022 - Nintendo Life Staff Awards
It didn’t help that Xenoblade 3 kept crashing on me more compared to 2
Re: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For December 2022 And January 2023
Re: Several Major Resident Evil Games Are Coming To Switch
Guess I will wait for the next switch or whatever it is so I can buy it natively. Cloud as an option is fine I guess but not when it is forced on people. This is my opinion of course but I know others feel the same. 😕
Re: Platinum's Switch Exclusive Astral Chain Celebrates Its Third Anniversary
Love this game so much!! For those of you wanting a sequel it seems like platinum games has already been working on it for a while. One leaker I follow says it’s slated for release sometime in 2023. I assume late 2023. I know we should take it with a grain of salt but there is a lot of hints that support this like takahisa taura who did the first one said he was hard at work on another game(didn’t say which game). Someone from platinum said so anyway. Also Nintendo buying the IP means that they can’t be done with just one game in the franchise. I know this is a thought but I think it’s a valid one.
Re: Video: Digital Foundry Investigates Switch's Lowest Resolution Games
Re: Capcom To Showcase Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection At TGS
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 2nd)
Maybe play some games on my n64 and genesis online service on switch too
Re: Here's A First Look At The NieR: Automata Physical Switch Release, Pre-Order Now
Definitely getting day 1 physical. Too good not to get it. October is going to be a very packed month for me lol
Re: New Live A Live Trailers Showcase Present Day And Distant Future Settings
😂. Like some people here are saying I got to get Xenoblade 3 and this. Ugh. I need to find the time to play these games. Need to get my backlog down too.
Re: Summer Game Fest Publisher List And Details Announced, Nintendo Apparently Not Featuring
Some of those companies are only going to be there in limited capacity since Sony and Microsoft are technically doing their own things around June. Nintendo obviously will too. Some leakers are saying the same in Nintendo’s case. It never needed summer games fest. Lol
Re: Geoff Keighley Hypes Upcoming Showcase, Says There'll Be Fewer Third-Party Shows This Summer
