Re: More Switch Owners Would Consider Game Pass If Activision Titles Were Added, Poll Finds

Riku3456

@sixrings People in general hate EA and activision. Not just switch owners like you say. EA hates Nintendo and their fans in general from what I have seen over the years if you look at their history. šŸ˜‚. EA was voted one of top most hated companies like twice I think. Disney threatened to take the Star Wars ip away from them after what they did. That being said I don’t know what this article is for? šŸ˜‚. Nintendo doesn’t have gamepass nor does it need it in my opinion. Nintendo just needs to make their online services better by themselves.

Re: Round Up: Everything Announced In The February 2022 Nintendo Direct - Every Game Reveal And Trailer

Riku3456

I can’t believe the big fire emblem game is a stupid warriors game. I hate that they are giving koei tecmo all these ips and turn them into warriors games šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø. And it’s 3 houses at that. I think 3 houses is okay but not the best fire emblem game at all. It was way too long too. I did like the direct. Was disappointed about kingdom hearts still being cloud. Hopefully square saying they will consider a native port on switch if they get enough fan feedback is not empty words. But I won’t hold my breath. No Zelda news is a little disappointing but I understand that it will be saved for e3(hopefully). Front mission and live a live was a good surprise. Will likely get. Xenoblade chronicles 3 was my absolute favorite reveal. Love Xenoblade. Hopefully they include a Japanese voice option.

Re: Microsoft And Activision Will Continue To Support "A Variety Of Platforms" Despite Acquisition

Riku3456

Scary how Microsoft is going on a shopping spree for companies. For the people that say Nintendo and Microsoft have a good relationship. That’s only on the surface in my opinion since Nintendo wants to keep doing their own thing while Microsoft wants to be in everyone else’s business. Nintendo and Microsoft still compete against each other just not as much as Sony.

Re: Nintendo Shares Updated Release Schedule For 2021 And Beyond

Riku3456

Hmm for this year so far. I am definitely getting Mario party superstars and SMT5. I might get metriod dread and advance wars but I have only gotten into metriod not long ago. I want to play the older games first to understand the story. Advance wars 1 and 2 I already played and beaten but I don’t own 1. I only played it on computer. I have part 2 on the Wii U VC. Legend of zelda and Bayonetta 3 are definite buys. I stopped playing PokĆ©mon when it reached gen 4 although I have new PokĆ©mon snap. Maybe I will get back into PokĆ©mon with these new games but I have too much for my backlog so likely not. Metroid prime 4, like dread I need to play more games in the series before I get it. Triangle strategy I was disappointed in the demo a lot. It’s lost the charm of octopath which is one of my recent favorite rpgs. I hope they improve it and add dual audio otherwise I might skip it. I don’t care about switch oled at all. I might get get that Zelda game and watch because it looks cool and has 4 games on it.

Re: Nintendo Denies It'll Make Increased Profits With Switch OLED, "No Plans" For Other Model "At This Time"

Riku3456

I call bullsh*t on Nintendo. They always say no plans so nothing is really denied on that. About the margins though. I do believe the minority on this site saying that Nintendo is obviously making more money with switch oled. Probably not a lot more but I definitely think more. It’s still using the very aging internals of the base switch and most technology always goes down on cost sooner or later. The switch oled dock has almost nothing going on for it and they are charging a crazy price for the original docks. This is just my opinion of course. I know a lot of people will bash me here but I don’t care.

Re: Nier Replicant Datamine Hints At Switch Plans

Riku3456

Would love both of them on there. I think it’s possible without the cloud considering it’s at 900p 60fps on the base Xbox one for automata at least and it runs fine. The switch could maybe do 720p docked. Maybe. Or just be a switch pro exclusive(yes I believe there will be a little bit of exclusives games) or maybe all switch models will get it but it would run not well on regular switches and the pro would run it like a PlayStation 4 would. Who knows?

Re: Xbox Cloud On Switch? Nintendo Won't Allow It, Says Industry Analyst

Riku3456

@jbreez00 I was exaggerating it a little but the groundwork is already laid out now. Google stadia. It’s nothing but a subscription cloud based service. The only thing you need is a controller. There are other companies that are looking into cloud gaming only and essentially getting rid of physical games. Google definitely wants to get rid of physical games. Their mission is clear. Lol. But luckily they are not doing that well now.

Re: Xbox Cloud On Switch? Nintendo Won't Allow It, Says Industry Analyst

Riku3456

I guess I am the only one that’s not keen on more Microsoft stuff coming to the switch. But seriously I am fine that no Xbox streaming services are coming to the switch. Let Nintendo do their own thing and make it better hopefully. Microsoft is trying to take over everything and it wants to appease Nintendo to beak in more into the Japanese market lol. I do agree with the statement that if the Xbox streaming service does come to switch some people will just play only Xbox games and not any switch games which is not ideal for Nintendo. Also I hate streaming games. I think companies are trying to force it down our throats rather then make it an option in the future. I like Nintendo to be Nintendo and Xbox can do its own thing. Maybe I just see more bad than good. Lol. Just my opinion.

Re: Reminder: Persona 5 Strikers Launches Today On Nintendo Switch

Riku3456

@Crono1973 I don’t see it that way. I have been to others boards for years and port beggars as you call them are everywhere. Some of us are not starved for games either like you said. I know you want to make fun of me and other people but not everybody plays every type of game out there. Almost no one has time for that. There are specific games and genres that people like. People that like jrpgs would generally love to play persona 5. Not some warriors/musou sequel. I have personally had enough of those types of games. They are repetitive to me and others. But that’s another story. If we want a game that is not exclusive to a system then of course people will ask for it. Especially if it isn’t too technically demanding and if it’s popular enough.

Re: Reminder: Persona 5 Strikers Launches Today On Nintendo Switch

Riku3456

@TheFrenchiestFry I know and I am pretty sure other people know not to bug a communications manager. People know they don’t make games or budgets for them. I am trying to say that people don’t know who to contact since game companies generally don’t have direct line for anybody to reach them or even if they do, guarantee that there message would even be read by a person at the top of the company who makes decisions. But the communications person was right though. You just have to say what you want. I am not saying everyone is going to get what they want of course but at least try

Re: Reminder: Persona 5 Strikers Launches Today On Nintendo Switch

Riku3456

@TheFrenchiestFry I can agree with some things you said but you should continue to voice your requests to some extent. Especially this game because even a communications managers from AtlusUSA told us to keep telling them what we want which is persona 5. It actually doesn’t have to be personal 5 royal. I am happy with the original. If people from a company is saying it’s okay to say what we want from them, then we are doing something right and not doing any harm in saying ā€œcan we please get a switch port of persona 5ā€. If people are being mean about it, then I can agree with on that. But not everyone is annoying about it, they just get drowned out by the people who are.

Re: Reminder: Persona 5 Strikers Launches Today On Nintendo Switch

Riku3456

@TheFrenchiestFry you can say whatever you want about switch port ā€œbeggarsā€ or whatever you call them but people on all fronts beg for games to come to their favorite system. That being said persona 5 does make sense to come to the switch since they are doing strikers. It’s completely logical. I wouldn’t mind it at all of shin megami tensei 5 came to PS4 or ps5. There is a demand to have persona 5 on switch. It’s not small compared to other games that people want on switch. You can call us whiners all you want but it seems like you and some of the other people here have something against either us switch owners having the game or asking for it or both.

Re: Ubisoft Leads As The Top Third-Party Publisher On Switch In 2020

Riku3456

Leading publisher? I don’t know but they released less games for the switch then square Enix and some other companies even if Nintendo published some of them. I am not saying quantity over quality but some of the Ubisoft games are lesser games or ports. The only games that have stand out from Ubisoft is Mario and rabbids, immortal fenyx, and maybe that rayman game. That’s it. They even canceled a game that I was kinda looking into early when the switch came out I think. I don’t like Ubisoft much at all, they are almost like EA to me. Square Enix is the best switch publisher to me but that’s my opinion

Re: A 'Pro' Switch With More Power Might Not Even Be Fully Utilised, Says Industry Veteran

Riku3456

I don't really care about what he says about this. You can now circumvent this problem by making the high end game cloud based for the weaker system or regular switch while giving the pro the native version. I had this idea before that leak happened. Or just make the game run like crap on the regular switch but still playable but giving the pro the best version possible. They could market it by saying for best possible performance fir Nintendo players, play the game on the pro. They won't do this to a lot of games. Just a few. This is just my way of seeing it and proving this industry veteran wrong. I don't like cloud based gaming at all which is why I would definitely get the switch pro if that was the case.

Re: Bravely Default II Producer Was Both "Ashamed" And "Relieved" By Player Feedback To Demo

Riku3456

I have to check out the demo. I am still on the fence about getting the full game. I have too much on my backlog as is. It seems like they made some good changes from the first which hard had some problems though I didn't play that demo either. Lol

Though some people on here talking about the bad or good voice acting, it seems to be about the English VA. Luckily I only play Japanese voices only for all games made in Japan so I am never disappointed.

Re: Japanese Charts: Nintendo Switch Ends 2020 In Spectacular Fashion

Riku3456

@johnvboy I want a switch pro. I can see people who have had the original switch since March 2017 getting one because some of them like my switch is starting to age and battery life isn't good compared to switch lite and switch V2. People can still trade in their original switch to help them buy a switch pro. If Nintendo is not going to release a switch 2 until 2023 or 2024 then it makes sense to have switch pro to help the switch family get to over 100 million in sales. Not to mention that a lot of games in the switch still suffer performance issues. Some a little to a lot. A switch pro could just improve resolution and frame rates and I would I still buy it and I think others would too at some point.

Re: Video: 11 Exciting New Games Coming To Nintendo Switch In December

Riku3456

@Heavyarms55 agreed. 2020 has been a mess with Nintendo and video games in general. At least it's given me a chance to work on my backlog which was huge.

It sucks that hyrule warriors AOC was pushed as that holiday game because I hate warriors/musou style games. I played so many of them that they all have the same story style and gets surprisingly boring after playing it for a few hours. Just my honest opinion.

Re: Review: Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity - Not The Zelda Game You Want, But Perhaps The One You Need

Riku3456

Not a fan of musou/warrior games. I used to like them years ago but they have become tedious and the time to put in to get extra stuff is stupid. Playing an adventure map for 100 hours on the original hyrule warriors just to complete a picture was the last straw for me playing musou games anymore. The last one I played was either fire emblem or the first fate extella game. More power to you if you like this gameplay without getting bored of it. I don't the alternative storylines this game and other musou games seem to push when they get IPs to work on. It's always the same story and gameplay In my opinion anyway.

Re: Talking Point: Cloud Gaming On Switch – The Pros And Cons Of The Cloud

Riku3456

@ChaosBadger777 it usually is the case. There are millions of games now or being made and if we go completely on cloud only, there can only be so much one company can support. Like mobile games. These cloud games will get taken down eventually. That's why I won't pay for cloud games because I can't play the games I like as much as I want. I don't have a stable internet all the time. That's just the way it is. I won't say that it will happen to every game but there are some games like jrpgs that should not be on the cloud at all because they take a while to complete and not everybody can get to every game they play without fear of it being taken down in a couple of years. You are at the complete mercy of the cloud and the game companies that use it.

Re: Talking Point: Cloud Gaming On Switch – The Pros And Cons Of The Cloud

Riku3456

For the people that like and defend cloud gaming, they can't defend against companies taking down games from the server after paying 40 to more 100 for a game you don't even own. It's seem google stadia won't answer that question or any other company. If you pay for dlc on that cloud game and they decide to take your game off the server after 2 years then you lose money and no game to show for it. At least when you own a physical or digital game you still can play it and come back to the game 10 years later. Lol. That's one of the main problems I have with cloud gaming along with the whole world doesn't have 5g yet. I definitely don't. I think it's too early. I am physically and digital(if I have to) only. The only game I play on a server completely would be fortnite which I am trying to get away from. Lol

Re: Poll: Do You Play Your Switch More In Docked Or Handheld Mode?

Riku3456

90% docked and 10 percent tabletop. I don't play handheld except for one game which I played handheld all the way and that was the world ends with you because I heard it was better to play it that way. I use docked for all sorts of reasons mainly because games just look better that way. Xenoblade as some people here mentioned is basically unplayable in handheld mode or tabletop mode to me. It looks like crap on handheld mode. That being said I play handheld mode only when I am going somewhere for a while or someone is using the tv. I have a system in place where I play games on handheld when they are games with bad or retro graphics like the Nintendo and Super Nintendo online app or grandia which I am playing now and any game that's from the ps1 or n64 era. Games that are graphically intense or games that I want to watch cutscenes on are always docked like xenoblade, BOTW, dragon quest xis, and fire emblem(because the text is hard to read in handheld mode). I will use handheld for jrpg grinding at times. But that's it. I am more of a docked guy. Lol

Re: We Can Expect More Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcases This Year

Riku3456

I know some people here are happy with this direct but I didn't enjoy it much. Monster hunter rise was a little interesting but I am not a monster hunter fan or a rune factory fan. I played the 3ds one and it was boring but maybe with rise I will try one more time to get into it. The disgaea games are a little too weird for me to get into and I don't care for ori at all, I hate most indie games(sorry if I offended people with that comment)I thought Microsoft wasn't going to release anymore games on switch but whatever. I liked the last partner direct better and the shin megami tensei one was the best reveal this year so far but only because of it. I am fine with partners minis but I hope Nintendo goes back to fat full directs soon. And for the people here that say Nintendo only did two main directs a year before this, you are wrong. Nintendo did a couple or 3 fat full directs and minis and indies and specific game directs throughout the year. I would like Nintendo to go back to that from a few years ago. This is just my opinion and sorry for the long rant. Well the only good news about 2020 was that with not a lot new games coming out, I am getting my backlog down a lot. I am working on the jrpgs on my switch right now which take a long time to complete lol

Re: Nintendo Reveals Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, A New Zelda Set 100 Years Before Breath Of The Wild

Riku3456

I love zelda but I hate musou/warriors gameplay. It gets so boring and the story usually suck which makes not a fan of koei tecmo. Although zelda story in this might make want to get one but my backlog is to big and will be for quite a while. I will sadly have to pass. The last warriors game I played was fire emblem warriors which me really sick of the copy paste formula they had. I played hyrule warriors for the Wii U when it came out.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Version 2.1.0 Is Now Live

Riku3456

Interesting that I would be hearing about this XC2 again. I still have yet to play torna due to my backlog but I will get to it very soon. I heard it isn't long. i already beat XC1 original on the Wii and don't plan playing it on the switch. But I am interested in future connected. Xenoblade chronicles X is the only other one I didn't beat yet. Lol. Hopefully it comes out on the switch. But before that I got to get my backlog down. Trying to finish octopath and the first playthrough of fire emblem three houses along with some other games.

Re: Nintendo Indie World Showcase Announced For Tuesday 18th August

Riku3456

@Benjinat I agree too. I think Nintendo is trying to combat these leaks with changing everything last minute to surprise everyone and get more fans to not be disappointed with what is going to be announced.

But anyway, I guess congrats for people who like indie games. I don't like indie games so I will sit this one out. I have a crap ton of backlog games to play anyway.

Re: Poll: Paper Mario: The Origami King Is Out Today On Switch, Are You Getting It?

Riku3456

@Mgene15 I am not a fan of animal crossing either but I still have a ton to play on the switch. It seems like a lot of people don't have back catalogues of games. I play a lot of rpgs and they can take forever. Heck I am in the middle of playing dragon quest XI S and fire emblem three houses and those are 100 hour plus games just to name a few games i am working on the switch. Just finished astral chain on switch and it is one of best games on the switch ever to me! But to get back on topic this paper Mario looks interesting but I am not going to get it because I have a back catalogue plus l am one who likes the old paper marios better like the n64 and GameCube one. I tried the Wii one and I hated it the most probably even more then sticker star. I never played color splash for fear of the last 2 paper Mario games. I hear mixed reviews about color splash. The origami king looks and feels like color splash so I am waiting to get my back catalogue down first and then maybe get it on sale. Maybe. If anybody wants the complete list of games I am working on to know why I am not buying any new games for a while then send me a message lol šŸ˜‚

Re: Fighting Over What's 'Indie' And 'AAA' Harms The Industry, Says Sonic Mania And Cadence Of Hyrule Artist

Riku3456

While I do agree with his comment on "everybody makes games in the end" I don't agree with the rest of what he says. We need classification with games since there is so many of them. I know I will get bashed here for this but I tend to always stay away from most indie games because they just don't look good to me. Only 0.1% of them looks good to me while most of the indie games are too out there for me or doesn't even look like they are trying. I tend to go for AAA, AA, A and B rated games rather indie anyday. There are already so many of those games that I don't have time to be chasing indie games. And whether people like it or not, just because it is an indie game doesn't that it is automatically going to succeed like some people think. There are too many indie games out there for me to sit through each one and in my opinion a lot of indie games are no different then shovelware to me. Just my opinion but I do believe there should be some kind of classification for indies because pretty soon if not already, there will be too many indie games for anybody to notice or sit through.

Re: Rumour: PlatinumGames' Scalebound Is Being Revived As a Nintendo Switch Exclusive

Riku3456

I hope not because I am just really not interested in this game compared to astral chain and bayonetta. It looks nice but the main character and even the gameplay seems like a turn off to me. I am hoping that the switch gets nier automata instead. That's the game I would like to see platinum bring to the switch since they have an interest in bringing it to the switch. I know this a huge rumor for scalebound but I would much rather have mega man legends 3. We should have that game by now.
