To be honest Sega is probably my least favorite pub/dev. I can’t think of the last time I purchased a sega game. Probably Dreamcast.

Still believe it should have been a bundled game with the console.

I want to get this so bad but I’m still playing through Luigi mansion 2 and prime remastered.

It may not sale as much due to the pandemic bump but I think overall they can EASILY outdid switch 1 with switch 2 as an overall system. Better specs and development tools, standard industry features, and third party support Nintendo gamers have wanted for generations now. This could actually be their best console ever.

I wasn’t planning on purchasing it but my wife wanted to play it. It’s solid. I would say 8/10

@larryisaman exactly. As much as some dabs may not want to come to tend with it, Metroid is a lower tier IP for them. It didn’t sell well compared to other IPs.

@Antraxx777 no one. I guess it’s to be expected this is the internet. People just need to relax and not overrate graphics to hype a game. Nothing about it looks bad.

I need to see a lot more. I’m not a fanboy we will see how the game reviews and the overall product.

Sadly this just goes to show how much people don’t know about graphics and how bad they are trying to hype this game and retro. I find it disgusting.

I won’t say I was disappointed but I didn’t have much expectations for it anyway. People that are gassing it up saying it looks stunning need to stop. It’s clean and polished visually but that’s it. Just looks like another prime. Maybe once release is closer we will see a different looking game and they can announce some game mechanics that peak peoples interest. 🤷🏾‍♂️

@Octane Agree. IMO they need to move 3D Metroid to a realistic artstyle. They will never be able to fully push the world and environments the way they want to. Again, it’s a very clean and polished visual experience but nothing stunning or mind blowing to me.

Maybe be it is and has always been the artstyle of these game but I don’t find them visually “stunning” as other do. The look is very clean but I don’t see much going on here. Maybe a digital foundry video will help me.

I need a demo but if the graphical level is close to 3 then I will bite.

Maybe i didn't give it enough time, but I purchased this on switch. I couldn't get into it. I have such a backlog on switch. The wait until 2025 for the successor is fine by me.

@mikejs78 I assume new year new version and more assets used. People complained about fifa being legacy versions for years.

It’s as nice jester but they should just wait on the next Nintendo hardware. Expecting more and it’s your fault if you are disappointed.

@-wc- it happens. Good luck in your journey. I’m close to where you are. No excitement in gaming these days. Nintendo’s first party doesn’t hit the same for me anymore. There is only one maybe two games a year I would want to play.

@Rob3008 Arkham Kibght is very graphics intensive. This has nothing to do with lazy dev and all to do with a very demanding game that wasn't meant to run on switch base hardware.

Switch is what it is at this point. Should have waited for switch 2 for this. Now that has turned into a 2025 endeavor. 🤦🏾‍♂️

I like it. Didn’t convince me to buy it but depending on how long it is before switch 2 is released I could play it to buy time.
