Re: Rumour: 'Switch 2' Will Reportedly Be Officially Revealed This Thursday

It seems really, really stupid to not include games. Especially if the console isn’t going to be radically different. It will be New3DS/WiiU all over again. The general public won’t know why to buy it. Most people buying these consoles for their children do NOT know what ‘backwards compatibility means’. Stock markets would hate this.

Although there will probably be a thirty year old trying to sound like a five year old and explaining it with a heart filled with joy.

Other scenario: Nintendo doesn’t actually have anything to show because they just burnt out their Zelda resources and Mario isn’t ready yet. They’re hoping Metroid will hurry up and save the day, and regret neglecting the Donkey Kong franchise.

(Since we’re all talking rumours and speculations now)

Can’t wait to be wrong!

There better be a Rayman game in there! A Rayman 2 remaster is all I’m asking for.

I’d personally bend (2nd hand) for a new Xenoblade. I’m dying to play those games at 60fps. So the only way Nintendo could nail this is by having Switch backwards compatibility, with upgraded performance patches for all their mainline games at the very LEAST.

I don’t know why but this game has everything I should love, and I still failed to finish it twice.
One time I stopped after 6 hours, then after about 20.

It got a bit too goofy in that weird ghost town and it really took me out of it.
Then after that it became a lot of backtracking through repetitive environments. But I liked many aspects of it and desperately wanted to love it.
I did enjoy Nier Replicant though. Maybe Automata should have been a shorter game.

I don’t think it’s quite fair to use “gotta catch ‘em all” as a slogan, when they make it impossible to actually catch ‘em all. People offering ways to achieve what Nintendo insinuated we should, that’s not a crime worth ruining someone’s life over.
I’m not saying they should let it slide completely cause he was earning money, but a small fine and a warning seems more than appropriate for the situation.

Pokemon will probably still look ugly on the next consoles. And I know, graphics aren’t everything but in Pokemon’s case it’s usually due to laziness. Something I can’t accept from a franchise that is this lucrative.
It’s almost as if they know people will buy it regardless of the effort the devs put in.
Not to mention it’s almost impossible to get a game over screen in these games.

I hope this case makes them want to take better care of their product.
