Re: Xbox Studio Rare Excited About The Return Of Banjo-Tooie Next Week

PALversusNTSC

rare just suffers from xbox type of gamer.
it does not belong to this platform.
not that the xbox gamer is to blame, i personaly think it suits ps or nintendo better.

still when you just leave youth sentiment and link any game from rare to nintendo, there where still great games made by rare.
nut n bolts was realy just awesome, but when it is not a banjo kazooie game, people stop playing it after an hour, wich is a real pity.

it is anyhow hard to make a good platform game wich inmidiatly hooks players, most have just lame caracters, microsoft should just ask rare to look at the fanbase, ask for their help. there is some pretty neat content been made last 2 decades.

Re: Round Up: The Previews Are In For Mario & Luigi: Brothership

PALversusNTSC

I am realy happy, nintendo finaly used some other graphic pallet. most games look so much the same graphic style. like the world arround mario was already created back in 2016 before swiitch launch. kinda make these games less apealing for me, this is my personal opinnion.
brothership has a total different style wich is great👍

Re: UK Charts: EA Sports FC 24 Stays On Top With Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Close Behind

PALversusNTSC

respect. nintendo software sales is still doing very well.

though what we need is christmas holiday bundles. switch oled+mario kart deluxe+ one month nintendo online for €250,-
also a nice looking box

same for Legend of zelda.

i honostly think it will crash any console sales during this season right before the release of new hardware.
i also think your old nintendo switch is going to be part of the new hardware structure somehow.

Re: Talking Point: Would $499 Be Too Much For 'Switch 2'?

PALversusNTSC

@Maubari

as for me concerned i feel sad but the brand is dying since 2014.
they made too many mistakes. one could have been overcome(target it as a multimedia machine) but they made alot of big mistakes.

i think gamepass and make their exclusives also for pc was a huge mistake.
gamepass is the same reason why sony is struggling with software sales, and this is what thrives the industry. then there is a digital console available and you have gamepass(what idiots)

nintendo does not share its exclusives, have hardware dedicated versions of games(well legal) and di not give games away for free and make their consumers spoiled therefor greedy to spend money, they also do not sell a digital only console.

Re: Talking Point: Would $499 Be Too Much For 'Switch 2'?

PALversusNTSC

why not just release a new model switch(or switch firmware update for oled model), capable of streaming new homeconsole hardware on the go via 5g or wifi hotspots. just like playstation portal.

i honostly do not believe we can have xbox one ps4 graphics on a slim hybrid. nintendo does not want to make a bulky hybrid for kids on the go. so why not do it sony's way but better.

nintendo has stated in 2019 it was ingestigating google stadia technology and game streaming.

thing is, you could still use all the nintendo switch library games, digital and physical cardridges + new powerfull hardware sitting at home, people would only have to but a console wich van be targeted for like 299,- with inbetween ps4/ps5 technology.

aaaaaand
switch will still sell and crush sony's record.

+you can play old switch library games
+you can play new hardware games at home and streamed on the go+
+more difficult to jailbreak because you have two security bridges
+nintendo can release a homeconsole for a consumer friendly price with specs between ps4 and ps5
+nintendo will keep selling switch oled
+acces to 12000 titles + upcomming new hardware titles.

-people with no switch have to buy both or focus only on either switch oled or new home console. but you have a choice.
-you have to play ps4-ps5 quality on 720p probably, or.....nintendo makes a new switch model.

Re: Talking Point: Would $499 Be Too Much For 'Switch 2'?

PALversusNTSC

@-wc-
not true the ps3 was more powerfull then xbox360, thing was the xbox360 was the main platform for developers.
the ps3 had to do with thirth partt 720p xbox360 ports. it was only visable with dedicated ps3 exclusives. well xbox360 was upscaled 1080p

when the last of us was released, it convinced consumers. destroying xbox360 sales figures, everybody jumped from 360 to ps3( we never see such massive platform jump again) still the best experience overall during both lifespan was most definetly the xbox360 but this is not relevant.

Re: Talking Point: Would $499 Be Too Much For 'Switch 2'?

PALversusNTSC

€375,- for the new model. pricecut old oled to 249,- arround christmass holidays.
a bundle with game(mario odyssey) and nintendo will break sony's 12 year old record.
they could easily add a game, they earned so much money with a.e mario kart, mario kart delux.

so the oled can sit next to the new hardware, and slowly be fased out.

Re: Nintendo Switch Sales Hit 143 Million As Hardware And Software Figures Decline

PALversusNTSC

@Pipulitoch
there is always a mayor price drop from nintendo. but the thing is, they always do this when a new console has arrived, and nobody cares about it. well not nobody, but not enough people to push millions of units, because nintendo does not offer the oled for cheap, they come up with some lame model.

Listen NINTENDO!!
make it happen arround christmas holidays starting at the end if november.
Oled 199,- bundle with a fantastic game(software has long be profitable enough). you earned so much money, make this bundle one to remember.
push marketing for this bundle as well

Re: As Switch Approaches The PS2's Lifetime Sales, Sony Moves The Goalposts

PALversusNTSC

nice try👍
not gave any official numbers , then when it is getting hot beneath their feet they all of a sudden pull a number.

it has been reseached for over 15 years and numbers might even be raised to sony's favour, what is next nintendo saying they already reached 160 mil? the number of sales have both been checked and nintendonis going to break this record sony, wheter you like it or not.

Re: Best Nintendo Switch Exclusives

PALversusNTSC

@Lightsiyd
many real exclusives outside nintendo office is something that suits sony playstation better. but i think the switch has managed itself very well, maybe this system could be a initial to somehow start to close this gap.

i am very curious how things will develop on the new hardware

Re: Best Nintendo Switch Exclusives

PALversusNTSC

the last 7 years was a just one big journey of great quality games and magical moments. within years following i will always look back at the nintendo switch with fond memories.
my son grew up with switch, he was 3 years old in 2017 and now 10, the fun we had together will always stay in my memory, there are probably dad's or mom's here with the same experience.
it is fair to say, it is the best nintendo console ever made, hell maybe even the best console overall, and i doubt it will ever become any better. how can it ever be better then this.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Just Won Two More Awards

PALversusNTSC

i realy like totk though not as much as botw.

botw felt more like a sen-experience, it realy helped me alot trough difficults stressfull times during corona pandemic.

i can't imangine how good baldyrs gate must be thatbit beat totk, guess i found out soon once it is cheaper on playstation store

Re: Soapbox: 30 Years Later, Super Metroid's Foreboding Atmosphere Is Still Unmatched

PALversusNTSC

@Coalescence

tbf
i found fanmade am2r better then every official 2d metroid game after super metroid, hell it is even ranked 2nd of all the metroid games i have played (have not played other M though)

it is like you say, most official games kill the ambient, or mostly interfered with computer assistents, they feel less isolated less mysterious, i don't like to meet companions on planet or any communication.

it is me, alone on a mysterious planet, taking elevators into the depth, discovering and solving.

there are not much other metroidvania games i like, if there is one game outside the metroid sphere i must say it must be Shadowcomplex from epic.

Re: Soapbox: 30 Years Later, Super Metroid's Foreboding Atmosphere Is Still Unmatched

PALversusNTSC

i had this game 1 month before launch, i owned a wildcard 24meg, wich was recommended by my awesome chinese friends.
my room was packed with friends, all wanted to play this games, a game wich not even barely arrived a gamemagazine offices worldwide😂
gor me personaly one of the best nintendo game i have ever played, and you know it is one of the best if you still replay this game every 2 years or so for 30years.

it was perfect. and almost sad i never had the same metroid experience again with other titles. only prime came closest(like mentioned here by someone else), still no super metroid experience.

either these games lack ambient, or don't feel isolated enough, dunno they all just miss some xfactor super metroid had. probably the lack of music in combination of mysterious leveldesign, everything was just so exceptional phenomenal even the bosses.

i hope once before i die, to have the same experience, i think VR can only do this in a more modern way. that.... would be something. though nintendo prob won't do VR.
i think the whole gaming world would jump on to this.

Re: Nintendo Reveals Box Art And New Screens For Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door On Switch

PALversusNTSC

though i am older i realy liked origami king better, imo it is how the perfect world of paper mario should look like, and how it should ve played, but paper mario: thousand year door is still a fantastic game wich you should own.
i will give you the same graphical experience, people had when they played it for the firsttime on gamecube, it is perfectly remaked for this generation, and i am glad that conpanies make remakes to make them more updated for future playback, some amazing classic games need a remake imo.
although i am not a man dwelling in the past and have youth sentiment, these games deserve to be maintained at all cost.

Re: Sony Lays Off 900 PlayStation Employees, Closes London Studio & Cancels Projects

PALversusNTSC

@Setery quote
"Meanwhile Nintendo is doing just fine, actually thriving. I wonder if there's something to their model??? Maybe it's not spending exorbitant amounts of cash on game development for a mediocre game. Instead, it could be making really good games for a low-reasonable cost."

nintendo always have made the most money and are the most inovative party. there comes a time they save the industry (again).
imo the most strongest feature of nintendo is how well games and hardware seem to be conected, even though not the best looking graphics still well conected.
this and the fact they earn alot on hardware, while competitors have to sell 4 cycles to get out of expenses, put software sales from nintendo on top of this, you cannot have any doubt who is the stringest in the industry, even though it might not look this way.

Re: Talking Point: What Will The 'Switch 2' Actually Be Called?

PALversusNTSC

we can speculate as many as we want, for all i know, nintendo would use all our ideas as example about something they NOT want to do.
i can not remember anyone who ever guessed their ideas.

nintendo simply does not know polarisation(we do)
they think out-of-the-box, always been this way. this is why i always state, nintendo is like silent ninja in the industry, sometimes laughed at, but all of a sudden strike back and cut your puny sales figures in half.
and respectfully not bragging about it either, just leaves for the next mission.

there is always one thing that they do, that's for sure, it's about how we play games, and make sure everybody want to enjoy games, it is not about specs.
whatever brilliant idea they come up with, they are unique, and must even stop to think they have competitors, i did a long time ago

Re: Talking Point: What Will The 'Switch 2' Actually Be Called?

PALversusNTSC

Nintendo ON
with a ON symbol logo at the end.

the 360 degree line in the symbol represent the way you play ,with you in the centre.
possibilities so to say.
i would prefer the color of the logo matched to the case(silver for instance on black case)
or better a led, wich actualy is a power button

example of symbol.
https://www.google.com/search?q=black+on+switch+symbol&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwjmofCw09ODAxVk0gIHHaYKDsMQ2-cCegQIABAD&oq=black+on+switch+symbol&gs_lcp=ChJtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1pbWcQAzIICAAQgAQQogQyCAgAEIAEEKIEMggIABCABBCiBDoHCAAQgAQQEzoICAAQBxAeEBM6CAgAEAgQBxAeUKgQWIYaYOwiaABwAHgAgAF0iAGQBZIBAzMuNJgBAKABAcABAQ&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-img&ei=4PyeZeaxLOSki-gPppW4mAw&bih=669&biw=390&rlz=1CDGOYI_enNL1031NL1031&hl=nl#imgrc=japRkYJXrqHxzM

also i would like to see a streaming device on the Go with 1080p oled, but the dock a awesome console. knowing nintendo the console will be slightly weaker, but i still hope it holds some clever future proof av connections.
the dockconsole wich is this time the master, must be 4k(optional 1080p), i don't think 8k will ever be succesfull.
i rather see a streaming device as hybrid, because we have to think about the batteries, lithium has its limits, and we don't want to own a clunky steamdeck size hybrid.

i know nintendo is considering stream gaming, they told us 3 years ago they would look at it, and it would be logical (because of storage and battery life)

just some ideas.

Re: Feature: Zelda's Forgotten Steward - Who Is Hidemaro Fujibayashi?

PALversusNTSC

It is no surprise Fujibayashi developed himself so well.
can you imagine working at capcom in early 90's? under the wing of awesome capcom people who made megaman series, and a legendary game such as Breath of fire 1&2 for super famicom.
let not forget all those other fantastic games they made for consoles.

every step he made was perfect to develop his skills and ideas. people like him have the the mind to create and think out of the box, and working together and in serenity with miyamoto-san everything can turn into gold.

man, i can't imagine how a new legend of zelda game would even look, knowing nintendo it will be a total new experience, not some openworld game but always something that set new standards. and fun thing is with legend of zelda games, it actualy has no timeline, it is just a multidimensional world.

beside fujibayashi, at this moment the gaming industry have fantastic programmers and directors anyhow, look at the teams from square-enix, capcom, guerilla.
last year was insane how many great games we had, alot of young people with new ideas.

Re: Talking Point: Could Nintendo Go Another Year Without A Switch Successor?

PALversusNTSC

i think this year will be the dead of xbox(future is not bright when you look at the game lineup this year), and the ps5 wil already be 4 years old, with no magnificent tecnical upgrade possible, lets face it, people want full RT on full 4k 60fps most LG owners even 120fps. any other upgrade is pretty much useless imo.
this is still not possible for a affordable price, i don't think sony can make this jump yet.

so i think (it is an opinion) best thing for nintendo, is releasing a new console in spring 2025, wich gives them more then enough time to develop a console wich sits right in between ps5 and xbox series X and with enough launch titles.
they should by any means launch a new console with a ***** load of great games, great looking games. this will be very very important in this momentum.

i hope they do not rush console development, everything has to be somehow future proof
