Re: Best Nintendo Switch Exclusives

PALversusNTSC

@Lightsiyd
many real exclusives outside nintendo office is something that suits sony playstation better. but i think the switch has managed itself very well, maybe this system could be a initial to somehow start to close this gap.

i am very curious how things will develop on the new hardware

Re: Best Nintendo Switch Exclusives

PALversusNTSC

the last 7 years was a just one big journey of great quality games and magical moments. within years following i will always look back at the nintendo switch with fond memories.
my son grew up with switch, he was 3 years old in 2017 and now 10, the fun we had together will always stay in my memory, there are probably dad's or mom's here with the same experience.
it is fair to say, it is the best nintendo console ever made, hell maybe even the best console overall, and i doubt it will ever become any better. how can it ever be better then this.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Just Won Two More Awards

PALversusNTSC

i realy like totk though not as much as botw.

botw felt more like a sen-experience, it realy helped me alot trough difficults stressfull times during corona pandemic.

i can't imangine how good baldyrs gate must be thatbit beat totk, guess i found out soon once it is cheaper on playstation store

@Coalescence

i found fanmade am2r better then every official 2d metroid game after super metroid, hell it is even ranked 2nd of all the metroid games i have played (have not played other M though)

it is like you say, most official games kill the ambient, or mostly interfered with computer assistents, they feel less isolated less mysterious, i don't like to meet companions on planet or any communication.

it is me, alone on a mysterious planet, taking elevators into the depth, discovering and solving.

there are not much other metroidvania games i like, if there is one game outside the metroid sphere i must say it must be Shadowcomplex from epic.

Re: Soapbox: 30 Years Later, Super Metroid's Foreboding Atmosphere Is Still Unmatched

PALversusNTSC

i had this game 1 month before launch, i owned a wildcard 24meg, wich was recommended by my awesome chinese friends.
my room was packed with friends, all wanted to play this games, a game wich not even barely arrived a gamemagazine offices worldwide😂
gor me personaly one of the best nintendo game i have ever played, and you know it is one of the best if you still replay this game every 2 years or so for 30years.

it was perfect. and almost sad i never had the same metroid experience again with other titles. only prime came closest(like mentioned here by someone else), still no super metroid experience.

either these games lack ambient, or don't feel isolated enough, dunno they all just miss some xfactor super metroid had. probably the lack of music in combination of mysterious leveldesign, everything was just so exceptional phenomenal even the bosses.

i hope once before i die, to have the same experience, i think VR can only do this in a more modern way. that.... would be something. though nintendo prob won't do VR.
i think the whole gaming world would jump on to this.

Re: Nintendo Reveals Box Art And New Screens For Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door On Switch

PALversusNTSC

though i am older i realy liked origami king better, imo it is how the perfect world of paper mario should look like, and how it should ve played, but paper mario: thousand year door is still a fantastic game wich you should own.
i will give you the same graphical experience, people had when they played it for the firsttime on gamecube, it is perfectly remaked for this generation, and i am glad that conpanies make remakes to make them more updated for future playback, some amazing classic games need a remake imo.
although i am not a man dwelling in the past and have youth sentiment, these games deserve to be maintained at all cost.

@Setery quote
"Meanwhile Nintendo is doing just fine, actually thriving. I wonder if there's something to their model??? Maybe it's not spending exorbitant amounts of cash on game development for a mediocre game. Instead, it could be making really good games for a low-reasonable cost."

nintendo always have made the most money and are the most inovative party. there comes a time they save the industry (again).
imo the most strongest feature of nintendo is how well games and hardware seem to be conected, even though not the best looking graphics still well conected.
this and the fact they earn alot on hardware, while competitors have to sell 4 cycles to get out of expenses, put software sales from nintendo on top of this, you cannot have any doubt who is the stringest in the industry, even though it might not look this way.

Re: Talking Point: What Will The 'Switch 2' Actually Be Called?

PALversusNTSC

we can speculate as many as we want, for all i know, nintendo would use all our ideas as example about something they NOT want to do.
i can not remember anyone who ever guessed their ideas.

nintendo simply does not know polarisation(we do)
they think out-of-the-box, always been this way. this is why i always state, nintendo is like silent ninja in the industry, sometimes laughed at, but all of a sudden strike back and cut your puny sales figures in half.
and respectfully not bragging about it either, just leaves for the next mission.

there is always one thing that they do, that's for sure, it's about how we play games, and make sure everybody want to enjoy games, it is not about specs.
whatever brilliant idea they come up with, they are unique, and must even stop to think they have competitors, i did a long time ago

Re: Talking Point: What Will The 'Switch 2' Actually Be Called?

PALversusNTSC

Nintendo ON
with a ON symbol logo at the end.

the 360 degree line in the symbol represent the way you play ,with you in the centre.
possibilities so to say.
i would prefer the color of the logo matched to the case(silver for instance on black case)
or better a led, wich actualy is a power button

example of symbol.
https://www.google.com/search?q=black+on+switch+symbol&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwjmofCw09ODAxVk0gIHHaYKDsMQ2-cCegQIABAD&oq=black+on+switch+symbol&gs_lcp=ChJtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1pbWcQAzIICAAQgAQQogQyCAgAEIAEEKIEMggIABCABBCiBDoHCAAQgAQQEzoICAAQBxAeEBM6CAgAEAgQBxAeUKgQWIYaYOwiaABwAHgAgAF0iAGQBZIBAzMuNJgBAKABAcABAQ&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-img&ei=4PyeZeaxLOSki-gPppW4mAw&bih=669&biw=390&rlz=1CDGOYI_enNL1031NL1031&hl=nl#imgrc=japRkYJXrqHxzM

also i would like to see a streaming device on the Go with 1080p oled, but the dock a awesome console. knowing nintendo the console will be slightly weaker, but i still hope it holds some clever future proof av connections.
the dockconsole wich is this time the master, must be 4k(optional 1080p), i don't think 8k will ever be succesfull.
i rather see a streaming device as hybrid, because we have to think about the batteries, lithium has its limits, and we don't want to own a clunky steamdeck size hybrid.

i know nintendo is considering stream gaming, they told us 3 years ago they would look at it, and it would be logical (because of storage and battery life)

just some ideas.

Re: Feature: Zelda's Forgotten Steward - Who Is Hidemaro Fujibayashi?

PALversusNTSC

It is no surprise Fujibayashi developed himself so well.
can you imagine working at capcom in early 90's? under the wing of awesome capcom people who made megaman series, and a legendary game such as Breath of fire 1&2 for super famicom.
let not forget all those other fantastic games they made for consoles.

every step he made was perfect to develop his skills and ideas. people like him have the the mind to create and think out of the box, and working together and in serenity with miyamoto-san everything can turn into gold.

man, i can't imagine how a new legend of zelda game would even look, knowing nintendo it will be a total new experience, not some openworld game but always something that set new standards. and fun thing is with legend of zelda games, it actualy has no timeline, it is just a multidimensional world.

beside fujibayashi, at this moment the gaming industry have fantastic programmers and directors anyhow, look at the teams from square-enix, capcom, guerilla.
last year was insane how many great games we had, alot of young people with new ideas.

Re: Talking Point: Could Nintendo Go Another Year Without A Switch Successor?

PALversusNTSC

i think this year will be the dead of xbox(future is not bright when you look at the game lineup this year), and the ps5 wil already be 4 years old, with no magnificent tecnical upgrade possible, lets face it, people want full RT on full 4k 60fps most LG owners even 120fps. any other upgrade is pretty much useless imo.
this is still not possible for a affordable price, i don't think sony can make this jump yet.

so i think (it is an opinion) best thing for nintendo, is releasing a new console in spring 2025, wich gives them more then enough time to develop a console wich sits right in between ps5 and xbox series X and with enough launch titles.
they should by any means launch a new console with a ***** load of great games, great looking games. this will be very very important in this momentum.

i hope they do not rush console development, everything has to be somehow future proof

Re: Video: Batman Arkham Trilogy Side-By-Side Graphics Comparison

PALversusNTSC

tbf
i realy like the darker setting on the switch compared to the ps4 version.
when batman enters the policestation and you see joker, it looks wat better imo, the ps4 version is just way too bright.
dunno if this is caused by the game setting of the person who record this, annyway it is a ***** setting.
ofcourse the ps4 version has nicer details, still not a gamebreaker for me, the switch version looks amazing.

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Sonic Superstars

PALversusNTSC

its (again) just a milking sonic game.
sega does nothing with the brand except the open world one wich was a great leap forward and actualy fun to play.

i think only fans will like it and give it a 9, there are some improvements but for me as objective gamer a 7 out of 10. another day same cup of thea.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2 Switch Rating Surfaces Online

PALversusNTSC

it is not common to dislike a remake, but this one bleeds my eyes.i talk about rdr 1
what i loved about the 360 and ps3 versions was the graphics of the beauty of nature, everything matched, this one is one big highres object update, and everything look so dull and blend.
the colors of the clouds, the missing green of trees.
you will see once you play it.

ofcourse the game has fantastic gameplay, but i miss the serenity with nature.

Re: Review: The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom - An Absolute Marvel, But Is It Better Than BOTW?

PALversusNTSC

god honost review:

9 out of 10
people are way to enthousiastic and put verdicts on emotion.

it is a great game, but it lost it's connection with you as player, link and the link to nature.

enemies can't hit eachother with weapons, the route within quest and caracters are not well done, and i don't like the shrines as much as i did with botw because i don't like the banjo kazooie style features, they are slow, not rewarding, and when yiu get rewarded weapons and shields break even faster, inly when you fuse a stupid rock on them.

is there all to complain, well yeah the lag but this will be solved i guess, for the rest it is by zelda standard a great game, but basicly all loz games score a 9, only breath of the wild and ocarina of time where better.

Re: Feature: Which Zelda Game Has The Best Ganondorf? Every Design Ranked By You

PALversusNTSC

tbf, most gannondorf bosses where horrible i only liked the one in ocarina of time, this is because the story was more connected to it's caracter. came from the dessert, rise in rank, betrays his king, then lock up link because he is a threat, in de 7 years that follow you come back and see how the world is destroyed, and therefor you can do things that where not possible. that is connection.
he was realy an enemy during the game.
this is why it is one of the best game in the series.

Re: Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Pre-Orders Being Charged, Launch Date Reveal "Not Quite Ready"

PALversusNTSC

how bizar it may sound from a guy who owns a ps5, and love legend of zelda games.
for me this is my personal game of the year.
final fantasy 6 is probably the best game i have ever played(maybe even the best game ever made) , i do realize it is not a fantastic looking 3d remake, but this game still have not had much makeovers, so i look very forward to this version also IV, and V wich where very very good.

question is would it be on switch or ps5?
maybe the slightly less better looking switch edition, for when i am in bed.

everything is perfect on this game from an old experienced gamers perspective who have seen it all.

Re: More Characters Are Returning To Mario Kart 8 Deluxe In Future DLC Waves

PALversusNTSC

Samus: neon tron-like kart, powerboost would turn samus into the morphball, with a mechanical electric sound when morphing.

R.o.b.(also a awesome caracter in metroid speedruns) i almost forgot about him, he was a funny but awesome designed caracter.

Captain Falcon (f-zero)with his blue hoovercraft.

Shopkeeper from windwaker, with sort of shopkeeper kart, bags and stuff swinging from the ceiling when you take turns.
saying "byeeee" when he takes over when using powerboosts.
