Re: Review: Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 04: VR Kit - Entry-Level VR With Some Trademark Nintendo Charm And Polish

PALversusNTSC

the idea is great, but i think most gamers want a switch system that is capable of 3d output and a decent vr headgear.

i dont mind if it looks kiddy, but just release something serious.
in about one year people want to play metroid VR so make it happen.

this cardbox stuff is just ridicilious, and wont attract new gamers to the switch.
there has to be demopods in gamestores with a vr headgear and metroid VR.

Re: Random: Sonic The Hedgehog Creator Yuji Naka Thinks Nintendo Has Changed

PALversusNTSC

leaving the cursed seal of quality, and suporting the indie scene is one of their best move ever made.

thank god indie games are saviours of gaming. without them no new concepts wich leads to new ips.
nintendo knows this, thats why they are suporting these guys.

next big thing would be produce consoles with made ports more suitable for thirthparty developers, and to listen more to the gamers in terms of sharing content.

ex.
more up to date hardware
the right storage media
twitch
achievements

the system doesnt need to be high end!! (would like it though)
but at least to make developers decide to port GTA. farcry etc. you get the point.

Re: The Mario Deals Just Keep Coming With Savings On Games And Switch Consoles In North America

PALversusNTSC

couple of questions.

*why is nintendo so greedy with deals especialy older games?

*why arn't there switch gamebundles, or so few.

*why do europeans alway get worse deals

*why are two year old games + console still fullpriced.

for me its the main reason why nintendo game shelve's are always tiny and with limited games. people with two consoles (like me) always search in the nintendo game shelf last, because naturaly i dont expect deals.

total miss from nintendo

Re: Early NPD Figures Suggest Nintendo Outperformed The Competition In January

PALversusNTSC

great to hear nintendo is doing fine:)

i'm not realy a dedicated lover of one brand, but the switch is a great little wonder, their was not one moment i felt dissapointed about purchasing the nintendo switch.

no for the sales figures, we should stop comparing platforms, because the ps4 and xbox one are older systems.
the ps4 has maintained these figures for almost 4 years and is now declining, wich is normal.

just enjoy the switch and this moment that we have so many great games, its quit rare developers want to bring their games to the switch, that is something nintendo should be proud of and have to work on for future systems.

next time they should at least make it more powerfull so developers can make easier descisions, so we can also enjoy their lastest games.

Re: Review: Warframe - A Technical Marvel That Pushes The Boundaries Of Free-To-Play Action On Switch

PALversusNTSC

i was there on xbox360 when it was released in 2013, and even in its early state, i realy enjoyed it on my old xbox.
eventualy i left it for what it was and hearing in what great game it evolved do me good:)

what i realy like is its non agressive selling system, its free to play and plays very nice.
im gonna check it out again after 5 years and see how the game has developed, even though i realy dont like mmo games at all.

Re: Three, Yes Three Resident Evil Games Are Headed To Nintendo Switch In 2019

PALversusNTSC

@JaxonH
im glad developers release digital games, beside that we have to be lucky, since nintendo cardridges are still (shamefull) only 32gb.
thats why fifa on switch got striped of the journey mode. ea cant expect that all consumers have big micro sd carts.

nintendo has to include big sd carts in bundles release for a great price.
i found it even ridicilious that there is not even a sd card included.
would be great for developers and users that it got 256gb storage out of the box

Re: Soapbox: Nintendo's Maddening Stance On Retro Gaming Is Driving Me To Piracy

PALversusNTSC

keep on downloading boy and girls.
nintendo robbed enough money with dinosaur titles, wich was no effort made for over and over again.
its thievery the let people pay multiple times for the same product for every system.

i would understand if nintendo got mad for stealing NGC hd remake titles. they made costs to run it smooth and made graphical changes.
but paying over and over again for all these n64 8bit and 16 classic is nonsence. fact is that most young kids don't even like these games anymore.

these titles should be free for downloading (always) and not used in a online subscribtion as promotional material.
its an insult to the faithfull nintendo fan wich suported the company for decades.

Re: These Officially Licensed Switch Controllers Come With Gyro Support And Mappable Buttons

PALversusNTSC

any bleutooth controllpad with actual rumble, rather then the hoax HD rumble, suits me.

Never liked the soft HD rumble wich does not add anything to extra gaming experience. give me playstation and xbox one rumble, even the rumble pack of the n64 and gamecube where way better.
i realy missed it in the legend of zelda breath of the wild, like ocarina of time showed how fun it is, to have the rumble function on.

HD rumble is just cheap technology presented as something special, with a special price tag. i think its developed for small children that often are scared for normal rumble

@Kang81
the problem in america is that most internet connections comes from copper wired cables wich are shared with your neighbourhood, wich loss bandwidth at busy hours.
dont you have glassfibre in america?

in some area's around the world the infrastructure wont allow fast internet because of the rockbottom.
but very fast internet by air is getting better and faster the last couple of years.

Re: Nintendo Will Replace Your Dead Switch Battery, At A Cost

PALversusNTSC

charge and play break batteries.
Every battery technology have a max of recharging moments.
recharging halfway at say 50% loses a half recharging moment.

Now lithium technology have thousands of recharging moments(depend on brand)
so its way cheaper then buying seperate AA batteries, and safes the envirement. so i'm with this technology.

the best way to safe your battery is to switch OFF at its lowest point(5%)
recharge it all the way to 100% before turning ON
,to make te best use of its recharging moments.

keep in mind, that using all its power can take some time to reboot again. lithium batteries have a chip that is monitoring, a chip that needs some power.
thats why some smartphones refuse to recharge(so it seems) and take a while to display 1%

even is you are a hardcore gamer who plays 12 hours a day, you still can play 5 year if you use your battery the right way.
most people don't have to replace anyway.
it's only valuable for collectors who don't want to sell their switch.
but its always wise to return you switch for maintance, not only for the battery but also for cleaning.

Re: Talking Point: Do We Still Need Review Scores?

PALversusNTSC

@construx
well to be honest, i'm gaming since 1983.
at this point i can realy enjoy and respect indie games.
alot of new ideas and concepts are born.
also most of them are amateurs and giving them a opportunity to share new thought.

the big companies are cleuless at this moment, its about sequels and prequels thesedays. what do we have? only updated graphics not realy new ips or ideas, copycat eachother and playing it safe.

you have to support it, because only this way new ideas can be born and new companies raised.

if you look at the GTA concept, it was kinda born too from indie perspective.
the first game was born from a small team of young people, brought out in a time 3d gaming was hot, and the game itself looked crap, but people liked the concept so they managed to became big this way.

Re: Talking Point: Do We Still Need Review Scores?

PALversusNTSC

when or why should you buy a game? and when not?
it depends on the users standards.

some people just need to hear, go out and buy it, others want to know why you should buy that specific game, and are not influenced by one oppinion.

also i think its based on what your gaming budget is. Some gamers have alot of money and willing to take risks, others can only buy a few games a year so reviews are important for them.

for myself, i just dont want crap in my collection, i work hard for my money so i appreciate the users rating system, also because i have to buy games for my 6 year old son.

Re: Talking Point: Do We Still Need Review Scores?

PALversusNTSC

the only ratingsytem a developer should look at, is a usersrating system. and they should make more demo's for the consumer to fix things, before publising, just listen to the consumer.

good example is the square-enix's octopath traveller team.
these guys are setting new standards, by sharing the development with consumers.

Re: Talking Point: Do We Still Need Review Scores?

PALversusNTSC

dezzy +1

I love reviews, but since 2005 i rather look at user ratings and overall scores from websites(combined) also recomendations from people in forums.
just making a decision from one point of view is not trustworthy anymore, since most of them are sponsored.

imo, putting a rating system in two verdicts like essential or recomendation, is too basic.

Re: Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate Hunts Down A Ninth Place Spot In The UK Charts

PALversusNTSC

the main reason why the switch is not boosting sales, is its price.
at least at a price range of € 308,- with no game, or a nice gamebundle, or even a gamecard for some indie games at least, is too much for people.

its even more expensive then the more apealing (for teenagers and adult) playstation 4, and slightly cheaper then the ps4pro. it has better graphics, almost every game. there are tons of secondhand games to choose from in gamestores, wich nintendo second hand games are scarse and still expensive.

nintendo has to drop their prices, and make at least gamebundles.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Special Edition Controller And Game Bundle Revealed

PALversusNTSC

i wonder what impact this game will have on the switch, half the gamers community is talking about it, including pc, ps4 and xbox one owners. i even known a couple of people who have already bought a switch for this game.

i think the release will be of epical proportions in sales figures, not just game sales figures. and if the nintendo network kicks in, it could have the same effect like call of duty for the epical xbox 360 in 2004, lets hope for a twitch app.

here is where nintendo is gonna win people back with online gaming.

Re: id Software "Still Uncertain" If Rage 2 Would Ever Work On Nintendo Switch

PALversusNTSC

why bother.

we are now living in a gaming era, where there is no better time after almost 14 years, to have two of the best consoles sitting side by side in your livingroom/bedroom.

im talking about the ps4 and nintendo switch. it doesn't matter how you get it, buy one second hand if its too much money, you won't miss any great release, and you profit those magical nintendo releases you won't find on all other consoles, wich are most of the time too depressive and action based. thats why i got rid of my xbox one. it did not offer anything for my son, and i wanted to see more diversity in gaming.

the last time we had that situation was with the gamecube/ps2 era, i never had any regret to own those two consoles. jumping from one platform to another, resident evil 4, pikmin2, then grand teft auto san andreas, to mgs final fantasy 10.
epic moments.

you don't bother these type of articles either.

Re: Nintendo Was "Pumped" When Blizzard Pitched Diablo III For The Switch

PALversusNTSC

@NEStalgia
i know how you feel, i had the same thing with borderlands. the trick is in the beginning of the game to tactical take out enemies to safe ammo. also break everything along to get money for upgrades.
once you have more then enough the game gets easier to play.
its like an rpg game with experience points.
if you get to fast from A to B you die of lack of experience points.

Re: The Gardens Between Brings Its Gorgeous Puzzle Adventure To Switch This September

PALversusNTSC

people spend alot of money on games for the N-switch it's almost become epical.
on other platforms people save money for normal titles here they buy both. on that point nintendo did a great job for both developers and customer.and we dont even have a online system yet. picture how the switch will boost if nintendo launches a great online gaming system.

i think we can expect more triple A titles in the near future, developers can't deny this platform anymore.
