Re: Assassin's Creed Odyssey Is Coming To Nintendo Switch, But There's A Catch

PALversusNTSC

@Kang81
the problem in america is that most internet connections comes from copper wired cables wich are shared with your neighbourhood, wich loss bandwidth at busy hours.
dont you have glassfibre in america?

in some area's around the world the infrastructure wont allow fast internet because of the rockbottom.
but very fast internet by air is getting better and faster the last couple of years.

Re: Nintendo Will Replace Your Dead Switch Battery, At A Cost

PALversusNTSC

charge and play break batteries.
Every battery technology have a max of recharging moments.
recharging halfway at say 50% loses a half recharging moment.

Now lithium technology have thousands of recharging moments(depend on brand)
so its way cheaper then buying seperate AA batteries, and safes the envirement. so i'm with this technology.

the best way to safe your battery is to switch OFF at its lowest point(5%)
recharge it all the way to 100% before turning ON
,to make te best use of its recharging moments.

keep in mind, that using all its power can take some time to reboot again. lithium batteries have a chip that is monitoring, a chip that needs some power.
thats why some smartphones refuse to recharge(so it seems) and take a while to display 1%

even is you are a hardcore gamer who plays 12 hours a day, you still can play 5 year if you use your battery the right way.
most people don't have to replace anyway.
it's only valuable for collectors who don't want to sell their switch.
but its always wise to return you switch for maintance, not only for the battery but also for cleaning.

Re: Talking Point: Do We Still Need Review Scores?

PALversusNTSC

@construx
well to be honest, i'm gaming since 1983.
at this point i can realy enjoy and respect indie games.
alot of new ideas and concepts are born.
also most of them are amateurs and giving them a opportunity to share new thought.

the big companies are cleuless at this moment, its about sequels and prequels thesedays. what do we have? only updated graphics not realy new ips or ideas, copycat eachother and playing it safe.

you have to support it, because only this way new ideas can be born and new companies raised.

if you look at the GTA concept, it was kinda born too from indie perspective.
the first game was born from a small team of young people, brought out in a time 3d gaming was hot, and the game itself looked crap, but people liked the concept so they managed to became big this way.

Re: Talking Point: Do We Still Need Review Scores?

PALversusNTSC

when or why should you buy a game? and when not?
it depends on the users standards.

some people just need to hear, go out and buy it, others want to know why you should buy that specific game, and are not influenced by one oppinion.

also i think its based on what your gaming budget is. Some gamers have alot of money and willing to take risks, others can only buy a few games a year so reviews are important for them.

for myself, i just dont want crap in my collection, i work hard for my money so i appreciate the users rating system, also because i have to buy games for my 6 year old son.

Re: Talking Point: Do We Still Need Review Scores?

PALversusNTSC

the only ratingsytem a developer should look at, is a usersrating system. and they should make more demo's for the consumer to fix things, before publising, just listen to the consumer.

good example is the square-enix's octopath traveller team.
these guys are setting new standards, by sharing the development with consumers.

Re: Talking Point: Do We Still Need Review Scores?

PALversusNTSC

dezzy +1

I love reviews, but since 2005 i rather look at user ratings and overall scores from websites(combined) also recomendations from people in forums.
just making a decision from one point of view is not trustworthy anymore, since most of them are sponsored.

imo, putting a rating system in two verdicts like essential or recomendation, is too basic.

Re: Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate Hunts Down A Ninth Place Spot In The UK Charts

PALversusNTSC

the main reason why the switch is not boosting sales, is its price.
at least at a price range of € 308,- with no game, or a nice gamebundle, or even a gamecard for some indie games at least, is too much for people.

its even more expensive then the more apealing (for teenagers and adult) playstation 4, and slightly cheaper then the ps4pro. it has better graphics, almost every game. there are tons of secondhand games to choose from in gamestores, wich nintendo second hand games are scarse and still expensive.

nintendo has to drop their prices, and make at least gamebundles.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Special Edition Controller And Game Bundle Revealed

PALversusNTSC

i wonder what impact this game will have on the switch, half the gamers community is talking about it, including pc, ps4 and xbox one owners. i even known a couple of people who have already bought a switch for this game.

i think the release will be of epical proportions in sales figures, not just game sales figures. and if the nintendo network kicks in, it could have the same effect like call of duty for the epical xbox 360 in 2004, lets hope for a twitch app.

here is where nintendo is gonna win people back with online gaming.

Re: id Software "Still Uncertain" If Rage 2 Would Ever Work On Nintendo Switch

PALversusNTSC

why bother.

we are now living in a gaming era, where there is no better time after almost 14 years, to have two of the best consoles sitting side by side in your livingroom/bedroom.

im talking about the ps4 and nintendo switch. it doesn't matter how you get it, buy one second hand if its too much money, you won't miss any great release, and you profit those magical nintendo releases you won't find on all other consoles, wich are most of the time too depressive and action based. thats why i got rid of my xbox one. it did not offer anything for my son, and i wanted to see more diversity in gaming.

the last time we had that situation was with the gamecube/ps2 era, i never had any regret to own those two consoles. jumping from one platform to another, resident evil 4, pikmin2, then grand teft auto san andreas, to mgs final fantasy 10.
epic moments.

you don't bother these type of articles either.

Re: Nintendo Was "Pumped" When Blizzard Pitched Diablo III For The Switch

PALversusNTSC

@NEStalgia
i know how you feel, i had the same thing with borderlands. the trick is in the beginning of the game to tactical take out enemies to safe ammo. also break everything along to get money for upgrades.
once you have more then enough the game gets easier to play.
its like an rpg game with experience points.
if you get to fast from A to B you die of lack of experience points.

Re: The Gardens Between Brings Its Gorgeous Puzzle Adventure To Switch This September

PALversusNTSC

people spend alot of money on games for the N-switch it's almost become epical.
on other platforms people save money for normal titles here they buy both. on that point nintendo did a great job for both developers and customer.and we dont even have a online system yet. picture how the switch will boost if nintendo launches a great online gaming system.

i think we can expect more triple A titles in the near future, developers can't deny this platform anymore.

Re: Well Would You Look At That, A Hat In Time Is Coming To Switch

PALversusNTSC

i thinks its time, developers can't ignore the switch anymore.
proof that sofware sales figures are doing above average.

the switch is a heaven for any indie developer. i honostly dont think beside pc their is any place better then releasing your indie game on switch.
looking at myself i already own much more indie titles then on my ps4 and xbox one.

Re: HD Remaster Of Grandia And Dreamcast Sequel Revealed For Nintendo Switch

PALversusNTSC

good move from sega, i always stated that sega needs to bring these type of quality dc titles to the nintendo switch.
they will make alot of money this way.
and remastering games will slightly refill sega's wallet, so they can take on bigger productions in the future.

grandia (especially part 2) is one of the best rpg i've ever played. maybe a bit of sentiment for the dc, okay, but still a darn good rpg.
if its a remake i deffinetly gonna buy it first hand. full price!! they already own my money.

Re: Nintendo Shares Image Of Super Mario Bros. 3 In Action On Switch

PALversusNTSC

i know the subscrition fee is very low, but i would prefer a less higher fee wich would you be able to play at least gamecube titels from while tot while. it doesn't even have to be 1 gc game a month, lets say every 3 months.

im so fed up with this old 2d games from nintendo, wich they fool the audiance with.
just give us mario sunshine, luigi's mansio, pikmin 1 and 2, or metroid. games wich are actualy enjoyable to play on the move and at home.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct?

PALversusNTSC

i dont care about smash, but i watched the vid and understand why people are hyped, i mean a ridiculious amount of fighters, great looking levels.
it reminds me of the experience of soul caliber on nintendo gamecube, the vid was also very fun the watch, the realy put some love in it.

it can(read: can) become easily the best selling nintendo game ever.

Re: Random: Zelda Fan Spends 484 Hours Completing Every Game In The Series To 100%

PALversusNTSC

still playing after 180 hours.
although my 6 year old son is selling all my items to mr kilton(btw thanks mr kilton) so now i have like 4 bokoblin masks, 2 lynel, 3 rubber hammers, 3 dark link suits, and alot of failed dish:/ one day after work he sold every item i had like 80.000 rupees. but we always have a good laugh together about those stupid looking enemies, eating frozen meat (he likes the animation)

but i do have all titans+
fully powered master sword
acient armour fully powered
400 koroks (me and my son call them little benny's lol)
all ex dlc objectives

i still enjoy the game, i realy do.
there is nothing more satisfying then after a hard days work to slaughter all acient guardians.

and i am realy suprice how good my son is in gaming. beat ganon on its own way 4 times now with only 13 heart containers. just 6 years old
i think later on as an adult my son Giovani will remember this first great game he played along with his dad, the laugh and fun we had.an epic game it sure is.

Re: The US Trader Who Bet $400 Million Against Nintendo Takes Huge Hit As Stock Price Soars

PALversusNTSC

@Razer
maybe so,but you forget that botw has no bundle pack, it is already sold seperately FULL price over estimated 8,5 million copies. retailers and nintendo make more money on botw then sony on god of war, wich has a fast pricedrop, wich also have to be kept in mind the switch has only 20 million owners against 90 million ps4 users. and we don't talk about the best selling game on the switch either.

so don't brag about sony, the software on the nintendo switch is more succesfull, and you will be noted with the realease of pokemon and ssb. its a money machine for developers.

i totaly agree about red dead redemption though, i think it can be the best sold game ever made, but hey its rockstar, everybody want to play that game.

Re: The US Trader Who Bet $400 Million Against Nintendo Takes Huge Hit As Stock Price Soars

PALversusNTSC

well i see it as boredom.
there is absolutely nothing you cant do with so much money, so eventualy you get bored.actualy these guys have no [removed] life or real friends. believe me i know alot of these people i have some very rich family members. you have to act and not be yourself around the parasites that surounds you.

people you think that are friends, are gone when you are out of money, they sit next to you and smile in your face, want to hang out with you because you're succesfull. its a fake reality. bragging among eachother what they have, and backstabbing eachother.

at least we "the lesser rich", can have pleasure with our hard earned pocket money and have real friends, and family love. therefor, i pity the (filthy)rich because they are lonely.

money has its toll. my advise is, stay yourself and
just look at what you have, not at what you don't have. otherwise you never enjoy life, and die alone with scavengers for your heritage around your hospital bed

Re: Review: Okami HD (Switch eShop)

PALversusNTSC

@boop22
its not by definition a zelda game, but it has the same feeling about exploring, secrets and a great story, it could have been easily been a nintendo product, that is how the quality of this title is.

im not [removed] you guys, you should definitly own this if you have not played it.
9 out of 10? well... [removed].. yesss

Re: Review: Okami HD (Switch eShop)

PALversusNTSC

closest thing to the legend of zelda experience. even after more then a decade later.

i highly recommend this game, there is no better action adventure game after botw then this little gem.

buy it.

Re: Zelda-Inspired Action Adventure Sikanda Is Making Its Way To The Switch

PALversusNTSC

there have been alot of attemps but most games dont have the same depth in gameplay. its basicly bashing your way from point a to point b with basic gameplay, not much mysterious secrets to be found, areas are also look much of the same, and last but not least the gamemusic doesn't fit in the game and is most of the time a short loop.

nintendo always adds total experience in zelda games.
rumble, motion controll, back tracking and open new areas wich you passed by early on. great music, great story.
also packed with secrets to discover, fairy springs, cracks in walls you sometimes not even notice.
its not easy to make a good action adventure. all these other games just dont give you that same experience, you always think to yourself, oh why did they forget this or that.

but i dont complain, someone is at least trying, and i dont mind they keep pushing more action adventures, always welcome.

Re: Nintendo Apparently Told Square "Never Come Back" After Losing Final Fantasy VII To Sony

PALversusNTSC

@Anti-Matter

indeed final fantasy is just a great looking game, but without the father of the series and storyteller whom started its own studio(mistwalker), the franchise is a empty shell.

have not played a good finalfantasy after 10.
the stories from 11 al the way to 15 are realy poor and vague. like everyone did add some storylines in it while in production.
also the beatiful music it once held is getting very poor with every edition.

in my opinion its more enix then squaresoft these days.

Re: Nintendo Apparently Told Square "Never Come Back" After Losing Final Fantasy VII To Sony

PALversusNTSC

yeah square enix loves the switch, but keep in mind, they have divisions.
switch probably only get 2d rpgs, no big projects like on ps4 or xbox one
just because of the same problems in 1996, storage and power.

they said [removed] you to squaresoft, but actualy screwed themself.
when final fantasy 7 came out, they shiney image of the brand never returned.

strange thing is, they can come back with ease. they have the money and the power, to wipe away every damage from last 2 and a half decade, by just release hardware for everyone not just themself.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend?

PALversusNTSC

not much time for me this weekend.
today i had to work, but tonight after 21:00 i'm going to continue xenoblade.
tommorow i have less time. my son needs to go to swimmingclass, before that he prob take hostage of my switch. in the afternoon i'm going to watch the final of the world cup football france-croatia.

Re: Review: Another World (Switch eShop)

PALversusNTSC

inside..

spended €100,- on games last month, one day later this game came out of nowhere, while i thought it was canned.
i realy hate this release policy on the nintendo switch, where you have to guess when games come out.
i could not even find it on the estore, like somebody pushed a button "ok, fuzz it heeeere we go"
