Re: Feature: Hyrule Fields, Ranked - The Best Grassy Plains In The Zelda Franchise

PALversusNTSC

hyrule field was basicly the only reason for me to buy a N64. I remember i visited a friend and he want to show me Ocarina of time, the game started and link was running arround on hyrule field in the middle of a thunderstorm, i can't rememeber any magical momebt between this and playing breath of the wild for the first time.

still my favorite zelda game remains breath of the wild, can't imagine any game will be better then this. i realy felt i was in nature, the next zelda game can only feel more dissapointing, it has to be.

Re: Nintendo's Investor Q&A Promises Switch Isn't Dead After Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom

PALversusNTSC

do you guys think, the switch will ever become more succesful then the ps2?

it is possible with a great momentum i guess. Q2 pikmin 4
q3 zelda q2 2024 metroid prime 4- mario odyssey 2 perhaps?
trowing some remasters inbetween such as Windwaker, metal gear solid.

i also do not underestimate the effect of final fantasy pixel perfect in japan, ff6 is one of the most beloved ff game, and never had a decent upgrade.

i believe anything is possible. and as long there is expectation for momentum, nintendo should NOT annouce a new console.

we are now at what? 120 million units sold, ps5 150 million.

not a specific brand lover, but i wish them the best of luck to achieve this historical moment in gaming history.

GO NINTENDO!!!!

Re: The Switch Has Now Sold Over 25 Million Units In Japan

@OrtadragoonX
Nintendo is by any means the most profitable console/game company ever.
Sony and MS can only wish to have 1/3 of nintendo's profit comming from this division.

If nintendo wants, it could release a nextgen so advanced, and even make way more money.
But they just don't want to interfer, and doing their own thing. Guess they have knowledge about the industry crash in the eighties, and don't want to destroy it.

Re: BAFTA Games Awards Winners Announced, Unpacking And Chicory Win Big

PALversusNTSC

For me, Ratchet&Clank:Rift apart is the big winner.

Never liked the series, but what these guys did with it is amazing.
Ps5 is amazing too, what a console, and to think i am bitching about consoles not realy being next gen for almost a decade, this one definetly is same for xbox series x(but only graphics)

Ratchet and clank rift apart
Adaptive gameplay A+++
Sound A+++
Graphics and eye for detail A+++

Last time i played a platformer and had so much fun was mario odyssey.

Re: Video: YouTuber Runs The Ultimate Switch OLED Burn-In Test, Left On For Over "1800 Hours Straight"

PALversusNTSC

This whole burnin issue with OLED is fake.
It excist, because youtubers leave PC desktops running for 100+ hours, after that find it important to make click baits and spread panic.

Almost any screen technology have burnins of get defected doing this even CRT.

If you are afraid of oled technology just don't use it in combination with pc desktops. I never withnessed any burnins with oled screen, and i use them intensive.

Re: Talking Point: Will Nintendo Abandon The Switch Concept For Its Next Console?

PALversusNTSC

People like smart devices
Cloud gaming is growing
4k gaming is starting to become a demand
In 5 years everybody want to play 8k games.
People have less time to play games.

Why not make a pact with google, and make a 8k hybrid gamesytem, wich is also capable of playing physical games.

Just make the switch capable of pushing 8k cloudgaming, and do something with the dock like a google home device, even better like nvidia shield.

The hybrid system is in any case here to stay.
Why? Because it attracts cknsole and pc users also mainstream users who have kids. I think there was never a concept like this in the past where they have reached such interest.

So make it even more aproachable, attract people that like smart devices.

Re: Nintendo Leaker Suggests Pricing Of Switch Online's Expansion Pack Could Be Tied To "Licensing Costs"

PALversusNTSC

@Grumblevolcano
Wich is stupid, sega is still busy dying.

The company lack creativity in their development team for almost 20 years, and the company is stuborn to make drastic changes.
Just too many old thinkers and old employees walking trough the hallways of the company.

There is always something lacking in their products (allthough street of rage was a great step) and sonic is just a too small caracter too make sega big again. They need a new talented team, young and fresh programmers that get along nice and share ideas without some old ***** in a suit keep ideas restricted

At this moment, It is a poor investment if you ask me.

Re: Nintendo Leaker Suggests Pricing Of Switch Online's Expansion Pack Could Be Tied To "Licensing Costs"

PALversusNTSC

50,- only is just insane.
They have to let people try out the subscription if it is worth it.

Judging from the release pace of snes and nes games, it is not worth your money.

It looks like nintendo first needs a pile of cash to buy these licenses, and this makes it sketchy, because as user we don't know if they can deliver along the way, between negociations and the one year subscription.

I think it is better that in the first year, they need to convince users by letting them try out a monthly subscription for like monthly 6,- and € 50,-

Still nintendo gets a big pile of money every month, because i think only 8% will use this subscription, and out of 8% maybe 3% takes a year subription that is still around 2,7 million x 50,- a year(135 million a year)

On top of that 3% from that last 5% will continue their monthly subscription wich makes 72x 2,7 million a year (189 million)

And this is at is lowest expectations, and ofcourse there are expenses.

Anyhow, nintendo needs to promote this new subscription on tv, adds etc, and it is worth it because any percent higher means alot of money .

Re: Soapbox: 10 Reasons Why Metroid Fusion Is The Best Game In The Series

PALversusNTSC

It was an good game, but i was dissapointed about its ambiance way too fast, less mysterious, the music(wich is an essential feature) not fitting a metroid game
Also not the feeling being totaly isolated, and i hate spacestation based metroid games instead of a unknown planet, with unknown structures.

I think dread will be the best after super metroid

Re: The Micro-Console Revolution Isn't Over Quite Yet, It Would Seem

PALversusNTSC

This machine made me hooked with gaming, and is from my age when i was 16.
Was it not for my older brother, who earned to much money, i did not get it at that time.
It was like €1200,- at that time. He also got one and delivered the games for me.

I definetly want this to have, it is one of the best(if not best) home computers ever made. I realy loved the sound and 16bit colors. It could not compare to a megadrive, but the games had a unique sound, and rare gameplay.
It also looks decorative in my home.

And i am curious. How many amgia games it can play because i see some a1200 and a4000 games in the trailer.

It would be great, if the keyboard actualy works, if not there will be bluetooth on it for an additional keyboard.

Re: Talking Point: Every Pre-BOTW 3D Zelda Now Has A Remake, But Which Is Best?

PALversusNTSC

Although nothing more then a upgrade on resolution and some shaders, the legend of zelda:windwaker was for me the most apealing title. Like it was always supposed to be played in this state rather then 240p, Imo there have to be a upgraded port in any upfollowing nintendo switch console.

Can't wait to see a switch version of it with ray tracing, more visual effect with weather.

Btw not a 2d game by origin, but
Basicly no game comes near the total remake of links awakening. A game i would never have played if it was not for this remake. Fantastic game.

Re: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Is Getting Free DLC Inspired By The Netflix Show

PALversusNTSC

@charlieonholiday
Once i will find time to play this game, it bothers me that it is highly praised by so many gamers, but i just can't get into it because i simy do not have much time for myself.

You remind me of myself, convincing people to play the mass effect series and try to get past the first 2 hours on the citadel to get i to it but know i understand you actualy need enough time for yourself to do so.

Re: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Is Getting Free DLC Inspired By The Netflix Show

PALversusNTSC

Never had the patient nor the the time to play this game more the 5 hours, and this irritating me because it seem one of the best game ever made. This is a game you cannot lay down and co tinue after two or three weeks. It has complex game controll and mechanics, wich at my age is difficult to puckup easy.

So i focused on the netflix series to see what its all about, and i can understand why people realy love the world of the witcher. It was with no doubt the best series i watched last year on netflix.
I realy like the pace and build between episodes always ending after two episodes in some epic battle in a awesome setting.

Looking forward for season 2, even though i probably will never finish the game, due to work and family responsibilities.

Re: Should I Buy A Switch OLED? Which Nintendo Switch Is Best For Me?

PALversusNTSC

So basicly a revision update like the 2019 battery update version, and the switch lite.

If you use the switch primarly for on the go, i would say, yes buy it. Because amoled (same as Oled) has better contrast (check samsung phones) then lcd-led tech and definetly better colors and black levels.

But for people who ay mainly on tv, it is a huge dissapointment, en definetly for those who where expecting a total new nintendo switch.

I'll stick to my 2017 version. If it works don't update i always say.
